Yeah, you know. That's the thing I'm thinking about because
I thought about where I'm at today and my birthday
coming up, and why I give myself enough credit for
what I done. I think I should be doing something more. Well.
The problem with us is we are always in chase
mode and we're not enough in gratitude. Mold, And I'm

(02:16):
guilty of the same thing because I'm extremely hard on myself,
and people around me have to tell me all the time,
you trip it. You need to slow down, you need
to enjoy your life a little bit more because of
the work you've put in and you've done. But that
comes from not enough gratitude. And I'm very guilty of

(02:37):
this myself. To me because see, we're so busy in
the chase game that we failed to realize how much
we dine caught. See you've been chasing, but you also
been catching. And when you fail to realize how much
you've caught, your focus is on the chase, and then
you lose the gratitude of what you've caught so you

(02:57):
as your birthday approaches and you realize that I am
not where I want to be, But can you not
also realize that you ain't where you was? Shirts I'm sorry.
You need to go somewhere and sit down. Man, shut

(03:17):
up more, because I all you gotta do is think
back when it wasn't going this well?

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
