Comedian Aries Spears is trending again after he went on a rant on social media about Chicago Sky’s, Angel Reese and Indiana Fever’s, Caitlin Clark.” Spears harshly compared the two players and started out his rant by saying it’s not about race. On Instagram, Spears called Angel Reese, “Hot Garbage” and in the same breath, said Caitlin Clark is “Bananas” or “the truth.” He said that maybe if Angel Reese “spent more time in the gym instead of trying to be a runway model and be cute, we wouldn’t have this problem.” Spears said we need to stop using the race card… it’s about ball… who’s good and who’s not. It was not just Spears’ message that enraged fans, it was his profanity and the disrespectful jabs he made at Reese.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, comedian Airy Spears is at it again. Look, can
we all agree that he just needs to stop talking
at this point? I mean he's trending again. He went
on a rant. Yeah, he went on a rant on
social media about just Chicago Sky's Angel Reese I'm just
gonna say it, and Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark. Spears harshly

(00:23):
compared the two players and started out his rent by saying,
it's not about race.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Now.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
This is what he said on Instagram. Spears called Angel
Reese quote hot garbage and in the same breath called
Caitlin Clark, saying she was bananas or the truth. You know,
those are positive, good terms.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
He said that.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Maybe if Angel Rees spent more time in the gym
instead of trying to be a runway model and be cute,
we wouldn't have this problem. Spears said, we need to
stop using the race card. It's about ball who's good
and who's not. It was not just his mess that
enraged the fans though. It's his profanity, it's his disrespectful jazz,

(01:06):
the ones he made at Reethe So, I mean, come on,
first of.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
All, first of all, you can't say take race out
of it because race is just prevalent in this country
and everything.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
You can't take race out of politics.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
You can't take race out your job, you can't take
race out of education, you can't take race out the
police department. You can't take race out of nothing. This
country is racially sick. So no, we can't take race out. Secondly,
Angel Reese is a bad girl. Angel Reese has every

(01:43):
right to walk down the runway on model clothes. Caitlyn
Clark has every right to do a state farm commercial.
Caitly and Clark can ball and has helped change basketball.
But he has helped change basketball because because of Angel Reese.
These two were the first players to come in the league.

(02:06):
That was the Larry Bird in Magic Johnson and they've
never had that in a WNBA before. Larry Bird and
Magic Johnson came in and single handedly doubled the viewership
of the sports because when they started as rivals in
college and they became the Lakers against the Celtics. What
has happened is they were rivals in college and now

(02:28):
they're in the WNBA. See, people don't give credit to
Angel for that, but Angel is the reason.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Caitlyn Clark gets a lot of the public. She gets.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
It's Caitlyn Clark a great player, Yes she is. It's
Angel Reees a great player, yes she is. And what
we've got to stop doing as black men is finding
a way to degrade black women. You have an obligation
to one another. You make me sick man when you
act like every time. Yo, Robert Griffin, keep your racist

(03:02):
comments to yourself. If you're not going to uplift systems,
what are you talking about, because it's extra damaging to them.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
I feel for black women.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Man, who when you hear something derogatory, it's got to
be coming from a black man. Man, Shit, who are
you sit s your monkey behind down somewhere and leave
it alone. Look, man, we have gone through enough as
a people. We are our own worst enemy and it

(03:34):
sickens me. And we take social media to perpetrate everything.
Why are we so ready to criticize each other on
social media? We are in the tattoo business of one another.
We are our own fault. Look, man, when they doing
stuff to me online, I know who it is. When
your comments in the story, I know who it is.

(03:57):
It's us, Yeah, us trying to take you down.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
It's your own people and You don't hear other men
and other races talk about their women and degrade their women.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
You just don't hear what white man has said anything
in social media about Kaitlynklauk.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Yeah right, what white man is slamming Britney's beards, What
white man got something to say about Taylor Swift, I
don't hear it.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
She need to go sit down, and what we do
it to ourselves? You gotta be very careful of people
who degrade our people because something's wrong with them on
the inside. When you see these cats going on these
podcasts and talking about everybody else on the podcast except themselves,

(04:50):
why don't every spirits say what's wrong with him? Oh?

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Long, you have a thought of that?

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I mean, look, brother, and you walcome to call in
on the shore and say j and then and then
he's smart too, because every spears is not stupid. So
when he says, take this ain't about race, Angel reces
hot garbage, hot garbage.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
But it's been about Caitlyn Clark is ballall it has?

Speaker 1 (05:18):
It has The country made this about race with them
when they were in college on.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
The beginning, because it's always race is a part of
this country. We live in a racist country. Yeah, this
country was built on racism, This country was stolen off racism.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah, this country is run on racism.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Yeah, so stop saying that and think when black people
say it, who really ought to know? But every spears
needs to wake up and realize. Man, we have an
obligation as black men to hold each other up. And
if you're not in to hold each other up, business man,
then you and the town at our business. And that's
not what we need. So to all the sisters out

(06:04):
there that's working and striving, it's trying to get it right,
there are those of us who dearly love you and
appreciate it you And so y'all just keep on doing
what you're doing and hold your head up because I'm
gonna tell you right now, y'all the backborn of this
whole thing, to tell you the truth. I might be
the head of my house, but my wife is the net.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Yeah, but it would be nothing without a woman or
a girl. Yeah you're listening. Dave Harvey Morning Show
