Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well in Trending Sports, Entertainment news. Actor Denzel Washington and
we love him and Spike Lee. We're special guests on
First Take with Stephen A.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Smith.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
They wanted to promote their new movie Highest to Lowest
in theaters tomorrow. Denzel is a yeah, I can't wait.
Denzel is a longtime Dallas Cowboys fan, and he called
out owner Jerry Jones. Take a listen.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
I know they're making a lot of money, and I'm
happy for the owner, but the fans ain't happy. I've
been a fan. I grew up in mal running uptown
money earned the Red Raiders. We were the Red Raiders
in the sixties. I was a running back and we
used to shift like the cowboy Landry. So I said, oh,
the Cowboys played like us. I've been a Cowboy fan

(00:45):
since the sixties. He's making it hard for me not
to be a fan because I'm still a cowboy fan.
I'm still going to have to star on the side
of the hat. But he ain't thinking about us. He's
thinking about his pocket, his box office, and his That's good, Jerry,
it's been a while. Ain't been to the show. You
wouldn't know, wouldn't been to the show. You wouldn't know. Oh,

(01:08):
I haven't been to the show, so you wouldn't know
what it is to win.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
I would just like to say that I have hated
the Cowboys since the sixties because the Cowboys were in
the same division as the Cleveland Browns, the North Division.
So I've hated the Cowboys since I was a child.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
That's a weird reaction. It's a weird uh.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Diconomy, the dynamic that I had with the Cowboys.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I love.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
The Cowboy players. Michael Irvin, Emmit, Dion Parsons, Nate Newton,
don't catch usou told come to my club, man, I'll
love the Cowboy players.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
I just can't stand that team, man, how does that work?
Is it the bad? I don't know, America, I don't know.
I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Man.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
The players are some of the coolest dudes.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Man that she's coming to my comedy club in Dallas,
span of dudes.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Man, it is a great dudes. Man. I can't stand
the team.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Well, okay, so, so Denzel said he didn't like the owner.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Basically, so is.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
That Well, here's here's here's.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
The deal with Jerry Joe. He's an old rich billionaire
that bought a team because that's what he always wanted
to do. He had enough oil money and all this to.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Buy the team. So he owns the team and now
that's his toy. He's not only the owner, he's the
general manager.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
He made all the decisions.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Yeah, because the best coach he ever had was Jimmy Johnson.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
That's the best coach they ever had.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
They butted heads because Jimmy Johnson was getting too much credit.
Jimmy Johnson was winning super Bowls, so he got rid
of him the anybody and his boy from Oklahoma.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Got rid of him.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Then anybody that cow was down and does what he wants,
he keeps them and he keeps him too long. The
last three coaches they've had have been garbage, garbage, cowboy garbage,
that little redhead boy they had the little fat when
they got now Garrett garbage.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Dudes, man, I'm talking about man.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Why y'all why they steal the coach over there for y'all,
that's y'all problem. Y'all ain't got no coaching, man. Y'all
got the players, you got the talent, you got everything.
That's that dope boy. You see Jay Lamb Parsons. All
the boys, y'all just ain't got no coach man. But
here's one observation though. What Stephen ain't was not screaming

(04:11):
doing that interview.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Dog, you know who the king is, Stephen a bag down.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
He knows the goat baby when he's we listen.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I now like the Cowboys. I love the Cowboys all right,
coming up next, And I.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Feel sorry for the fans in Dallas because they they
hoped be up. Every year they up down.
