Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, the US Army is celebrating its two hundred and
fiftieth anniversary coming up on June fourteenth, and guess what,
it also happens to be President Donald Trump's seventy ninth birthday.
This is according to Newsweek. Now, the White House wants
to do a big military parade in Washington, d C.
(00:21):
To celebrate the president with the army. Huh what they're called. Oh,
it's a lot. It's a taxib a lot. Yeah, you know,
the tax.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Well they got the money, they cut out the VA programs.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
H yeah, there you go. Yeah. The Army already had
tentative plans to celebrate its anniversary, but it looks like
they will have to share the celebration by having a
parade through the heart of DC. The plan calls for
six thousand, six hundred soldiers marching helicopters and armored vehicles.
The events here you go, Tommy ninety two million dollar
(00:56):
price tag. Ninety two million dollar price tag and potential
damage to the roads with heavy military equipment might scale
back the planning, or it might cancel it all.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
We even got that in the bank. We ain't even
got that. Who had got that?
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Let me ask you something if you had to really guess,
what is America's critics go?
Speaker 2 (01:17):
What is our critics go? Korea? Well, we got a
lot of debt. Credit score is trillion trillion. We got
like a five hundred credits go.
Speaker 4 (01:33):
But it's just like Steve said a little while ago.
You know, you want to throw a parade for your
birthday and celebrate the army, but you cut out benefits
for the veterans.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
You laid them off. So which one is it?
Speaker 4 (01:45):
You want to celebrate them and help them live and
survive and right.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
And you know he got the idea when he saw
Kim Jong un and the military, how they performed there
and all that. Yes, that's where this is all coming from.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Yeah, and who now, I was just saying, that's who
they voted for. So you're getting what you voted for.
Y'all getting cut he getting celebrated.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Uh huh.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah. Military ain't said none. But they wanted to party
with you. They got to share.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
They don't want to share this day. They're two hundred
and fifty years old, he's seventy nine. All right, we
got to get to this one. Moving on, Boston Celtic's
legend Paul Tierce has always said just what's on his mind,
and this time he's speaking on marriage and he's speaking
on what it means to him, and his comments went viral.
(02:40):
On his Truth After Dark show, Pierce said that marriage
has no advantages for men. That was the first thing
he said, no advantages for men. He said that only
poor people and old people get married. This is what
he said out of his mouth. He said, so you're poor,
you're married for that. Paul Pierce said that poor people
(03:02):
get married and put their money together and have kids
so the kids can grow up and make money for
the household. Now, he went on to say that when
you get old, somebody's got to be at your side
to take care of you. So that's why old people
get married. He added that his mother got married for
the first time when she was seventy years old, and quote,
(03:24):
she had somebody by her side the whole way through
your thoughts.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Everybody going to need a podcast, everybody, that's what you got.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Really, that's what I got to take away.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Yeah, I just don't understand why he has one.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Uh huh.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
You know that's not a solid statement. The sad part
of about it is, though, no matter who you are,
you can get anybody to go along with something that
anybody says stupid And now people are going, I agree
with you.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Yeah, but it's stupid.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
He said that marriage has no advantages for men.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Marriage.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
The greatest advantage for being married as a man is
you cannot be great without a woman.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Living proof.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
Yes he made Please repeat that.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
You cannot be great without a woman. Yeah, you just can't.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Behind every great man, there is a greater woman.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
Say that, yes, zah.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
It just doesn't matter man, what you're talking about. Now
for him to make that statement and use his mom
as an example that she got married in first time
in her seventies, for somebody to be here if that's
your one example, the one raaranty, I very rarely hear
of a woman getting married the first.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Time in seventies.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
And please understand, I'm not talking about his mom in
a negative way at all. I'm not that guy. No,
So that's not what I'm saying. Well, the statement that
he made has no advantages for a man. That's not true. Sadly,
is still.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Important everything everything.
Speaker 3 (05:10):
Carla has a husband, love, They have a daughter that
they raised together. They have a home that they built together.
They have a life that they make together. Yes, that's
what they're doing. Yes, sir, that's what marriage is.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Man.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
And for you to sit there like what you're saying
is brilliant. What you said is stupid.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Shock value statements. Okay, So he said it has no
advantages for men. Then he went on to say that
only poor people and old people get married.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
What is that?
Speaker 2 (05:42):
I know a lot of rich people married.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yeah, you are one of them.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Is talking? Robert Smith got married? Yeah, he got thirteen billion.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Yeah, and there was a there was it was it
had gone viral, I guess a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
A few weeks ago, Steve where this very.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Rich man on Instagram was saying the most important decision
that a man could make is who he chooses for
a mate, and he was very rich.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Nuri Mohammad gave the best statement I've ever made, outside
of your relationship with God, the person you choose to
spend the rest of your life with, it's the most
important decision that you will make. Yeah, why are y'all
listening to Paul Pierce? Is paula married as Paul ever
been mad?
Speaker 1 (06:27):
You're listening Hardy Morning Show
