Speaker 1 (00:00):
There were unbelievable gun violence statistics this past Fourth of
July weekend in both Chicago and Philadelphia. As communities continue
to fight and try to unite against gun violence, hip
hop rapper Flavor Flave is standing up and speaking out
over the life and death situation gun violence in America.

(00:21):
Flave wrote an op ed for Newsweek where he made
a call for the country to put an end to
the quote epidemic of gun violence and ban firearms as
it stands. Blave says, quote our kids aren't safe. Blave
also said gun protection laws are weak and the current
lack of gun control laws is a quote form of

(00:41):
domestic terrorism.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Steve, you agree, I mean that's colored from slave of
I've known Flave for years and talked to him personally.
He's really really a cool guy, man, he really is,
and he's just a smart guy you can tell. So
you know, it's that's his way of going about it.
I mean, we got to do something about these gun laws,

(01:04):
but we're not going to do anything about the gun laws,
and they're never going to change the gun laws because
it's too profitable. So this is a battle that I'm
not fighting anymore with them because they're committed to it.
I just think that we as a people have to
find and use more protective measures for ourselves. You know, men,

(01:26):
how to, how to, how to, how to avoid certain situations,
how do not put ourselves in predicaments. And to young
men out there, remember, man, if you if you carry
a gun, you will get into a situation where it
becomes an option mm hmm. And if you use that,

(01:47):
and if you select that option, you have now compounded
the problem. And so for me, I don't carry because
I ain't going nowhere that requires me to have a gun.
And then I just pay people who who who want
to carry guns go with me.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
So yeah, all right, all right, as we switch, here's
what you had something else to add?

Speaker 2 (02:15):
No, I just thought I should stop there because I
should have stopped the photo, but you went on. Yeah,
I agree with Tommy.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yeah, I can't believe I'm saying that, but I agree
with mammy. Are you okay? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Right, all right?

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Moving on switching gears here. Carnival Cruise Line is trying
to shut down the backlash over their new rules because
some black passengers say they feel targeted.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Now check this out.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
One of their new rules is a ban on handheld fans,
not the battery operated fans, but the ones we use.
And you know, boots on the ground where them fans at.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Yeah, tired of them fans, and they tired of the song.
And I am too, I am too. So now I'm
all that mess on this boat.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
So you know, the fans are now prohibited on the
boat due to the loud crack sounds, which Carnival says
should cause injured, could cause injuries in crowded areas now,
according Yeah, that's what they're saying, according to Uh Huh
Club one two. According to Parade Magazine, Carnival also has

(03:30):
new rules that include curfews for miners, marijuana restrictions, and
bands on bluetooth speakers. In a statement, Carnival did respond.
Carnival said the rules are intended to promote a more
peaceful environment, not to signal any form of cultural erasure.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Hey, listen to me. This is not targeted at black people.
Listen to me. That should be a curfew for kids
on a cruise runner late at night. You already just
recently had the little girl that fell overboard. You know,
you let your kids go out there. That's dangerous at night. Secondly,

(04:09):
bluetooth speakers shouldn't be allowed because everybody don't want to
hear what you're listening to. Put your earbuds on and
let it and let that be your connection to your device.
So bluetooth speakers should not be allowed because nobody wants
to hear your particular brand of music. Mm hmm. And
them fans, man, all that popping them fans out and stuff.

(04:32):
Don't bring that over here.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Say that for the club question, question the lussion, Steve,
do you know how to do boots on the ground?

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Do you know how to do that?

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Dam now? Why I got to learn it? It's not
they at your house. Them fans is at your house.
Now if you're coming on the cruise to lie Dan,
stay your ahead home.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Why you can't do that?

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Man, crews and do what the cruise activities is. They
got napkin folding at one point thirty, get down there
for it. They got scarf time, they got you know
how to make beaded necklace, and they got or botch

(05:24):
your ball. Go do all that goat, get on the
water slide. They got pickleball. Sign up all that stuff.
Go on the cruise, get your off the boat and
go rinch you a mop head and hurt yourself in
a foreign country. Go do that kind of stuff. You
go bringing them fans and them bluetooths on this boat

(05:46):
no more, and put them ragging their kids in the bed.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
The fans at kicking up some.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
That ain't got nothing to do with you being black.
I don't like white kids run around late at night.
I don't want to hear white music on the bluetooth speaker.
And I don't give it about white people with fans
because they.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Know how to do booths on the ground. Uh wow, Yes,
let's go find ground.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Where the police said, alright to jail. Yes, you don't
know how to do the dance. The only people get
mad that do not how to do dance.
