According to ABC seven in Detroit, Bishop Marvin Winans of
Perfecting Church hosted a day of Giving on Sunday this
past Sunday, asking members to donate one thousand dollars and
raise another thousand dollars to help finish the new sanctuary
in Detroit and support community programs. Pastor Marvin Winans received
a lot of backlash from a video that's gone viral

claiming that he rebuked a church member for her twelve
hundred dollars gift instead of two thousand dollars that he requested.
The congregation member, and Pastor Winans spoke to ABC seven
in Detroit to try to clear things up.
