According to The New York Times, online retailer Amazon has
plans to replace over five hundred thousand warehouse jobs in
the US with robots. This is going to happen over
the next ten years. Amazon's robotics team said, with this
major milestone now in sight, we are confident in our

ability to flatten Amazon's hiring curve. The Shreveport, Louisiana warehouse
already has robots managing most of the operations after packaging,
enabling the company to employ fewer workers than ever before.
