Lil Boosie was recently awarded 2 honorary doctorate degrees from the Christian-based university, Kingdom Heritage University, in Florida. One was in music composition and the other in music management, for his long career in hip-hop. Usher also received an honorary doctorate degree from Emory University in Atlanta. Well. Lil Boosi was recently awarded two honorary doctorate degrees
from the Christian based university Kingdom Heritage University in Florida.
One was in music composition and the other in music management.
For his long career in hip hop. Usher also received
an honorary doctorate degree from Emory University in Atlanta. Emory

highlighted Usher's huge impact on music, as well as the
work of his foundation, Usher's New Look. Usher also delivered
this year's keynote address for Emory's graduating class.

So, Steve, here's a question, congratulations to Usher. You you
have two or three honorary degrees.

Steve yes, doctor Yeah, yeah, doctor Harvey, Sir, doctor Harvey.

So did you do the keynote address at the school?

Speaker 4 (00:53):
I did one at all Okay, I did a speech
uh at Southern. I don't think it was a keynote.
I did one at uh Pain the Alabama State.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Wow, there's so many, so many speeches.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
All they degrees, you know, junior, These these honorary degrees
were very well deserved in the Yeah, you know you could,
you could give it to your honorary when you ain't
went to school and the reason I think I deserve
these honorary degrees because getting my high school diploma was
one of the hardest things I've ever done in my

whole life.

I'm talking about boy, let me tell you something. It
wasn't nothing but a struggle.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
You know. I graduated with a three eight, three point
eight g p A.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
That was great. But what are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yeah, well it was total.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
I had a one two in the ten I had
one five and the leven had one three twelve. What
I came out with three point eight total?

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Mind, you don't know how y'all do.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Y'all GP eight, I got GPT, y'all got KA, y'all
got great point average. I had a great point total.
You got six ninety five. I was six ninety all right,
that's a true statement.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
But I was gonna ask you, Steve.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
So now you know you've gotten your your honorary degrees, You've.

Lived your life, your works hard.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Take us out with maybe what your keynote address would
be today?

Speaker 2 (02:39):
You know what would you say?

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Always like it is is follow your dream. I tell
people follow your dream. You can get a degree in
anything that you want, and you usually make a decision
about that at an early age in life when you
don't didn't really know yourself, and most people I know
half degrees don't even work in that area. So the
thing that keeps you up at night, the thing that
troubles you and worries you, that you dream bodan is
in your imagination.

That's what you should pursue.
