Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, guys, Jimmy Kimmel is back on the air after
being suspended for six days. On Tuesday Night, Jimmy joked
about pre empting Celebrity Family Feud, which is hosted, of course,
by her very own Steve Harvey. He compared his last
week to the CEO of Tailanall's Week All. Kimmel got
emotional about his comments regarding Charlie Kirk's death. Take a listen.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Even Jay reached out. I heard from late night hosts
in other countries, from Ireland and from Germany. The guy
in Germany offered me a job. Can you imagine? But
I do want to make something clear because it's important
to me as a human, and that is can you
understand that it was never my intention to make light
of the murder of a young man. I don't think
(00:49):
there's anything funny about it. I posted a message on
Instagram when the Daves killed, sending love to his family
and asking for compassion, and I meant it. I still do.
Nor was it my intention to blame any specific group
for the actions of what it was obviously a deeply
disturbed individual. That was really the opposite of the point
I was trying to make but I understand that to
(01:11):
some that felt either ill timed or unclear, or maybe both.
And for those who think I did point a finger,
I get why you're upset. If the situation was reversed,
there was a good chance I'd have felt the same way.
Our freedom to speak is what they admire most about
this country, and that's something I'm embarrassed to say I
took for granted until they pulled my friend Stephen off
the air and tried to coerce the affiliates who run
(01:34):
our show in the cities that you live in to
take my show off the air. That's not legal, that's
not American, that is un American, and it is so wow.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
I'm glad he's back. Am I supposed to, like, go
get my Hulu back now if you want, you could
say that people do.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
He had canceled a subscription.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, they canceled it because of ABC. Yeah. Yeah. Jimmy
caimill think viewers for speaking up, even those who just
disagreed with him but defended his right to stay on
the air. Meanwhile, President Trump is not happy. He posted
on his truth social page that quote he can't believe
ABC fake news gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back. He
(02:16):
is considering suing the president. Is you know who else
is mad?
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Who Bar?
Speaker 1 (02:22):
He's gonna sue he said ABC before he's gonna sue them. Yeah,
he's considering it. Yeah, but Roseanne Barr, remember her, Roseanne
Is she's not happy with how Jimmy Kimmel suspicion ended either.
She said she got off easy compared he got off
(02:43):
easy compared to her, And she's accusing ABC of a
double standard. You know, he got like a slap on
the wrist.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
But she was on, she had a show, and they
put her off the show, right, I remember to put
it off.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yes, said something about she was like.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
The number one show on TV at the time.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
Yeah, yeah, and it put off the Yeah. Well she
said it's a double standard. But they were saying too
behind the scenes. Casts didn't want to work on her anyway.
She makes things something. Yeah. Well, anyways, we gotta go.
You're listening, Harvey Morning Show.
