Former First Lady Michelle Obama recently spoke at the Brooklyn
Academy of Music while promoting her new book. When asked
about running for president, Missus Obama said that she is
tired of being asked about running for president because America
is not ready for what a female president. Missus Obama
told the audience quote, as we saw in this past election, sadly,

(00:23):
we ain't ready. This is why I am like, don't
even look at me about running, because you all are lying.
You are not ready for a woman. You are not,
So don't waste my time. We got a lot of
growing up to do, and they are still sadly, there
are still, sadly a lot of men who feel like
they cannot be led by a woman.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
True, this is true. I feel I feel that exact
same way. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got but I got
one dragon mine run.

And you can't get back in the story.

All in chain hooked up.

Yeah no I don't really, but you know, in all seriousness,
this country's not ready for a female president and they
really not fit to elect no black women.

Yeah that's.

Not even They're not going to do.

That that last year, a year ago, because this is America.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Surely. Yes. Okay, this is still.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
America predominantly run by white men who are in controlling positions.
Super packs, money corporations, all of that project five all
white men.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Donald Trump's cabinet all white men.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Well, they are afraid of losing their grip and their power.
That's why they don't want immigrants over here. They don't
want to be a minority. You don't understand the fear
of that's some some, not all, some white people have
of being a minority and not being in charge. It's
scaring them because they know what they've done to minorities

and now they don't want to be one of them.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
See that, And that's not all white people, don't get
me wrong. Let me tell you.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Slavery did not go away because black people got tired
of being slaves. Slavery went away because there was some
well thinking and good white people who saw this as
a horrific crime against mankind.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
That's slavery in it. Because a lot of white people went, well,
y'all crazy.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
All the black people wanted it over but you needed
some people in power that can help push this across.
But the residue of people who did not want it
see here's a problem that they keep talking about. They
say only two percent of Americans owned slaves. Yeah, but
they owned all of them and all their friends benefited.
