have two people to work for me who have new babies,
and I'm watching them do this gentle parent and it's crazy.

There's a lady that works for me here and her husband,
her little boy right there. He calls me poppaw because
he see mother grand kids. They were talking. She told
him at the ranch. She said this to her little boy.
He's just a little over one years old, just a
little over one, maybe a year and a half. He
can walk in, you know. But she told him, she said,

come on, we're gonna take a bath and get him,
put on your pajamas and get in his car. Drive
back to Atlanta. He said no, She said, all right, man,
My head snatched so fast. That was it?

All right?

I met My mouth fell open, and I was looking
at her, and I kept looking back down at him.

I said what what?

I said, Hey, you can't you cannot allow him to
call shots and make decisions. I said, what do you
mean we're gonna take a bath. Well, he doesn't want
to take the bath.

And the other day at my house, I had another
young girl, she got a little boy. He going up
the steps with with with a bubble machine we bought
for all the kids. He's shooting the bubbles off steps.
She said, blank, come down off the steps. He said no.
She said, please come down off the steps. He said no.

Now them two noes right there. The first note was
my bottom roller teeth, then the top. Then the second
note would have been that top row of my teeth.
All of them, all of them would have been on
the steps. I have had to come down the steps
so I could pick up my teeth and hit him back,
so we can go to this doctor. Get your teeth
put back here. Man, come up.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's crazy.

Yeah, they're saying these today parents are struggling with overwhelming
things like, you know, financial pressures, the lack of personal time,
self care, balancing work, and family responsibilities. Our parents had
all that too, They did, they did.
