Speaker 1 (00:02):
Well, does being scared make you want to get busy?
You know, get busy? You know what that means? A
study says yes, if someone is yelling boo makes you
want to hook up with your boo, you're not alone.
Experts say shriek inducing horror film scenes can make you
feel horny. According to Leah Holmgren, a Manhattan based intimacy

(00:26):
and relationship coach, it's a matter of simple human instinct
to want to be close to another person when you're scared.
This phenomenon is from prehistoric times when we needed to bond,
especially in dangerous situations and increase the chances for survival. So, guys,
Junior Steve, what movie? What horror movie scared you so

(00:52):
much that you wanted to, you know, knock the boots,
get busy?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Whatever, Yeah, Nightmare on Elm Street for me because I
have to stay woke. You're going to speak on your mind,
just keep going bo Yeah, you watched all of it
one time, Sure, you watched it from one to ten
just to stay up.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
That would do it for me.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
That's kind of weird, I know it is. I mean,
I see if you go together to a movie and
you guys, you know you're scared, so you're you're cuddled
up in the movie and everything. But after the movie,
it's over, right.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Watch it.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Yeah, I'm gonna tell you right now. You don't do
that to me. Matter of fact, I don't. I don't be.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
First of all, I don't go to scared movies, so
I don't know what the hell they do. Last scared
movie I went to with the exors and that did
not induce the exorsies.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
How about sixteen.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Now, that's when you and your guys set.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
And I tell you what do make me want to
get busy? Like if I'm getting cold, if you get
cold outside, I want to do something. If I got
the flu, I want to do something. Sick it's dark outside,
I want.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
To do something.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Every everything other than a scary movie.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Sound as soon as I wake up early in the morning.
Yeah good time? Yeah right? But can we back up
to the flu?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Can we back up to that?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah? If I got the energy, I don't need energy.
I just want to feel better.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
If I'm doing something, I forget I got the flu.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Yeah, and then give it to give it to your wife.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Well he probably got it anyway, you know, when laying
around front.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
We'll do something like if like if I got a fever,
I want to do something, then too, I promise you
then I can always say this is gonna be hot.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
To be cold.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
I ain't got to lie. You better come on this
to be hot. And it is just you know, you know,
just like that, you know, so you gotta know, you
gotta know what it is that turn you on. You know,
like if I make a left turn and I should
have made a right turn, I want to do something.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Don't take much.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Scary movie, Yeah, if you want to all right, you know,
and yeah, you know how you give us insight into
men's thinking.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Yeah, you know, like if you like if I'm standing
there talking to you and you know how you just
blow sometimes because you from a slide, but you blow
your hair a little bit up and now yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
You better get that. That'll get you done too.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Yeah, yeah, don't really take much of what you're saying.
That's exactly right.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Like if you're outside and you playing sports or something
like volleyball and a mosquito bite you on your ass
and you slap the mosquito, that'll probably more wanting to
do you. I know you, I know you were smacking
that for me. I know, remember a little more mosquito.
I'm just telling you how me and are I don't

(04:14):
take much.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Don't go.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
If I have a sign cell crisis and y'all call me,
I'll probably go want to do something.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Yeah, because he's sick.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Somebody need to care about me. All right, Thank you guys.
Coming up, more music, more fun, ignorance.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I don't see how you're doing today, sweetie. That's it,
that's sweetie, that's what you want.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I want to see Harvey Morning Show coming up right
after this. You're listening Harvey Morning Show.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
