Speaker 1 (00:01):
Ladies and gentlemen, Another day, another opportunity, another blessing, another great, great,
great chance we have been given. Please take advantage of
it today. Start off by being great. There's no better
way to start your day than to show gratitude, because
if you can start with gratitude, it will affect your attitude,
(00:24):
which is in direct correlation to your altitude.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
I expect great things that happen today.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
A lot of things have been cleared up for me
last night through praying, meditation. I'm just excited about going
to get it today. Got a lot to do today,
but hey, I'd rather have a lot to do to nothing.
Oh man, ain't that a blessing? You better come on now.
Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Shirley Strawberry calling
for real Mouth of the South, Junior government name is
(00:51):
kill Spate and the legend of Nephew Tommy.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
What you got for me today, Junior? What's on your mind?
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Let's talk about this process man, of being successful that
you go through?
Speaker 2 (01:01):
What all the success that you have? Uh, you think
there's still some more you have to do here? Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Absolutely, absolutely, you ain't ever through. I think that's what
hurts a lot of people, you know, they work for retirement.
And if you notice, some people retire and then they
end up going back to work, or some people retire
and they wither away, they stop being active and their
body start rusting. The Bible says a man without a
(01:29):
dream or vision shall perish. You should never stop dreaming.
You should never stop setting goal. You should never not
have an aspiration. You should always be waking up with
some purpose in mind. Now that doesn't mean you have
to keep working to after you retire. But who can
(01:51):
you benefit? Who can benefit from your years of knowledge?
Who can benefit from your retirement? What could you volunteer for?
Who could you help that that that that you know,
you could volunteer some time? Pass our food, you know,
collect clothes, you know, go down there and mentor kids,
you know, do something. But you've got to do something
(02:12):
right because you've got to keep waking up with the purpose.
If you don't wake up with the purpose, what's the purpose.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Of waking up?
Speaker 1 (02:23):
You see? And that's what happens to some people. Man,
they think that retirement means I'm gonna do absolutely nothing. Look,
you should work and earn a retirement, be able to
go play golf, or or go play bridge or get
in the club and you know, going to something.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
But man, but but what you're gonna do? Though?
Speaker 1 (02:44):
You know, somebody was talking about retirement with somebody the
other day and they looked at me and said, Steve Harvey,
you can quit talking because you'll never retire. I mean,
I'm not looking forward to the day where I have
nothing to do now. I'm looking forward to the day
where there are some things I don't have to do, right,
you know, But I'm not looking forward to the day
(03:07):
where I do nothing. I want to play more golf,
you know. I want to I want to travel more.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
You know.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
If I don't want to get up early, I won't.
But I'm an early riser anyway, so I'm gonna ever
get up early because I just like mornings.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I like to see the sun come up in the morning.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
I'm usually up for that, you know, if it's already sunny,
I didn't miss something.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
That's how I feel.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
I miss something, all right, all right, guys, coming up
in thirty two minutes after the hour, we'll hear from
the nephew as he runs that prank back right after this.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
