Junior I mentioned sickle cell. Saint Jude has one of
the largest pediatric sickle cell disease programs in the country.
You on the show, everybody knows that you have sickle
cell disease. So how important is this to you, junior.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Or absolutely it's important. You know.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
On the trip, I found out that the first grant
Saint Jude got is for sickle cell.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
That was their first research brand just for sickle cell.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
But then also on top of that, the first bone
marrow transplant happened at Saint Jude.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
They cured sickle cell first through bonwe mal transplant. That's
how important it is. Now they service nine hundred sickle
cell patients a year. That is amazing.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
That means no no bill from the doctor. Yeah, I'm
talking about no housing, All the food is taken care
of for nine hundred people every single year. And that's
a building.

You said, a bone marrow transplant that that cicle cell.

Yes, sir, yeah, a bone marl transplant can. Yes, you
get a perfect match.

You go through the process, you can rid the body

That brother works in this research department from Saint jud

And it means in the world to him that he had.

This kid have to worry about a bill or anything,
didn't set his family back or nothing.
