Steve Harvey has advice for...

  • Sharonda: "My husband treats me like a queen and I don’t doubt that he loves me, but I’ve caught him cheating before and I think he’s at it again. He comes from a family and says that in his culture, cheating is tolerated as long as the wife is loved, cared for, and respected. I get the love and care, but not the respect. I don’t want a divorce, but I hate knowing my husband might be spending time with another woman. If I put my foot down and he doesn’t stop, I’ll have to choose between living with the cheating or leaving him, and neither is what I want. What should I do? How can I cope with living with a husband who loves me but cheats?

  • Damon: "I’m dating one of my co-workers and dinner was perfect, and the conversation flowed…but then we went to the movies. One of my big pet peeves is people who talk in a theater during a movie. I don’t mean like “pass the popcorn” or stuff like that. I’m talking about “did you see the makeup on that girl over there” and “did you see the memo about overtime.” All during the movie?!?!? If something like this bugs me this much, is a second date even worth it?"

Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is from Shiranda on Steve Harvey FM. Steve. She
needs some advice.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
She says, my husband treats me like a queen, and
I don't doubt that he loves me. But I've caught
him cheating before, and I think he's at it again.
He comes from a family that says in his culture,
cheating is tolerated as long as the wife is loved,
cared for, and respected. I got the love and care,

(00:25):
but not the respect. I don't want a divorce, but
I hate knowing my husband might be spending time with
another woman. If I put my foot down and he
doesn't stop, I'll have to choose between living with the
cheating or leaving him, and neither is what I want.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
What should I do?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
How can I cope with living with a husband who
loves me but cheats.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
If you're willing to accept that, there's nothing I can do.
I can't, ma'am. I don't have an answer for you.
I'm sorry, but you're thinking that this is what happened.
You just said he's from a family that has a cult,
and they told you that.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Yeah, they said cheating is tolerated in their culture. Yeah,
as long as a woman loved and cared for and respect.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
It, And that is what you say he's doing.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
You don't know how to live with a man who cheats, Well,
let me let me ask you this.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
How have you done it thus far?

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah? But how have.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
You coped with it thus far? Because you've caught him
cheating before and you stayed. So if you don't want
to divorce, then continue to act like you've been acting
like it ain't happening. But you know what's happening, and
that's when not what you want. I don't know how
to tell you to take a bad treatment.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah, let off, Steve. My husband treats me like a.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Queen, right, but I'm not going to though right.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Yeah, well you can get treated like a queen until
I leave a house, right to cheat?

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Yeah, See, this is craziness.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
He treats women like queen. So when he leaded the house,
he got to get back to queen treatment. Yeah, and
said you don't go to work with him. Somebody down
here got to get this treatment.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah. And she's caught him cheating. She said she carved
him cheating.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
More by you steal that. So I don't know what
to tell you ma'am, next question, I really can't help you.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Okay, yeah, yeah, all right, we do have time for
another one, Steve. This is from Damon on Steve Harvey FM.
Damon says, I'm dating one of my co workers and
dinner was perfect and a conversation flowed, but then we
went to the movies.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
One of my.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Big pet peeves is people who talk in a theater
during a movie. I don't mean like past the popcorn
or stuff like that. I'm talking about did you see
the makeup on that girl over there? Or did you
see the memo about overtime all during the movie. If
something like this bugs me this much, is a second

(03:10):
date even worth it?

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (03:13):
This is a man talking.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Yeah, this is damon, Bro.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Bro, you're gonna give up a good woman, possibly because
she talked too much. But you know how many of
us wouldn't even be in her relationship if that.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Was Yeah, this is they talk too much? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
What woman you find the date? What woman you find
the date that don't talk a.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Lot when in the movies are otherwise? Huh?

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Anything I find one that don't talk, let me know,
let me know right where you get them?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
M Wow?

Speaker 3 (03:50):
And if she don't talk. It's because she threw with you.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Why don't y'all just quiet in the movies?

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Bro quit going to movies.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
But this could be a good reason why you still single,
because if you that great of a catch, you probably
have been caught by now.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Oh maybe if.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
That's a pet peeve talking in a movie, a big
what's your other peeves?

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Because he got some more because if you that simple.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Dinner was perfect and the conversation flowed.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
He yeah, because y'all was talking, all right, Yeah, maybe
she was nervous. Man, y'all at the movie. She just
trying to keep talking. Ye had a perfect dinner, man,
boy guy.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
