there will be plenty of celebrations, and I'm invited to
a few barbecues, and I'm always happy to bring something
for the party, but I'm sick of hosts giving me
specific instructions on what to bring. I get that they
don't want a bunch of overlap with what guests bring,
but I also think it should be my choice on

what I want to contribute. They always ask me to
bring the potato salad, and sometimes I'm just not in
the mood to make potato salads. It's a lot of work.
I would rather just pick up something simple from the

But it just wasn't no meat on it at all.
