Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, This is from Latricia on Steve Harvey FM.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Steve.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
She says, my son barely speaks to me these days,
so as a result, I almost never get to see
my granddaughter. It feels so unfair. Whatever issues he has
with me shouldn't mean I should be kept from my grandchild. Yes,
I wasn't always around when he was growing up, but
I worked hard and provided for him, and he's never
appreciated everything I did to sacrifice for him. Now he

(00:27):
acts like I was never really there for him. And
my punishment is that I don't get to be in
his daughter's life. Now. I've always wanted to be that
doting grandmother and now I'm being shut out. How am
I supposed to handle this? What can I do? Wow?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Well, I can't tell you how to handle that because
you're his mother. I've never been a mother. You're a grandmother.
I've never been a grandmother. So for me to act
like I know what you feel and I don't. All
I know is you and him have to have a
city down and this young man has to grow up. See.

(01:06):
You know the problem with hanging on to the past.
The past hangs on to you too. So now you
can't have a future with your mother, and your baby
can't have a future with her grandmama because you still
mad about the past. Bro at one point in time,
for the good of all involved, especially yourself and your family,

(01:28):
you got to let it go. You got to let
it go because always remember this. Anything you won't let
go of won't let go of you either.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Okay, we do that.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
How y'all like the way I'm starting to edit myself later.
It's great, but I don't like it because I really
want to know what it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
You finished saying it.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Was a junior. I just edited when junior speaking at
the U in North Carolina at the I'm just saying,
I just said, she did let me do this. I
edited myself from saying what I was thinking because he's
speaking of sick of Sale convention. He to keep no speaking.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yes, I just have an idea that would really no.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Natural point across. I hope people will be giving if
they saw it across. No, some people have never seen
it though.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
All right, don't moving on. We have time for We
have time for another one. This is from TJ on
Steve Harvey FM. TJ says, it's not like I'm new
to the dating game, but does something change when you
hit thirty. About two months ago, I started dating a
girl I met at a work function, and we've really
hit it off. In fact, we've just made the whole

(02:44):
boyfriend girlfriend thing official. There is a downside though, Apparently
being called my girlfriend also entitled her to a key
to my place, and I'm not feeling that just right now.
And when I said that I wasn't comfortable with it,
things turned into a what are you hiding from me? Inquisition?
Is this normal?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I don't know, dog, you're thirty. You know how long
it's been thirty eight years since I've been thirty. I
was thirty. I didn't have a key to nothing thirty, man,
I'd have gladly gave somebody a key. Anybody had gave
me a key. But bro, listen to me, man, when

(03:26):
y'all made it official, yeah, what y'all don't live together?
What you're hiding from it? That's a fair question, bro.
If you don't want to give a key, don't give
a key. Personally, I'll give a key, but I just
want I just won't get the right one made.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Oh my bad, Let me get another one, O my bad?

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Maybe maybe that I tried to get you a copy made.
Maybe they didn't do it right. Yeah, about threefold turn.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
I'll give you a key.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I'm moving, I'm not giving You can't just open the
door on me. We ain't that ain't We often be surprised.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
What are you hiding from me? That's what she wants
to know.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
The truth.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Said that exactly exactly. You're listening to the Steve Harvey

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
