All right. Normally we do sports talk here, but this
is kind of a story that we wanted to talk
about because we're kind of all involved in this boycott.
Target CEO Brian Cornell is stepping down. He stepped down
after eleven years amid struggles at Target stores. Cornell helped
engineer a turnaround at Target, but it's been a rocky
few years for a Target of late. Incoming Target CEO

Michael Fidelki, a veteran leader at the company, we'll have
a tough task now as he faces tumbling sales, tear pressure,
and a consumer slowdown. But Target has been in a
deep slump for years, mostly due to its own strategic missteps.
The company has quickly fallen behind rivals like Walmart, Amazon

(00:44):
and Costco. And they can say all this, but what
they haven't said is the boycott that was implemented. It
works after they cut out their DEI programs. That's basically
what happened.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Well, you know, listen to this. It would be very
simple for the new CEO to come in and re
implement the policy. You all just followed the instructions of
Donald Trump and Project twenty twenty five. Well, you see
what it cost you, It cost you sales, it cost
you your job. Thankfully to Jamal Brian who did an

outstanding job in organizing this boycott and for the people
who followed through. Now it's simple. All you have to
do is go back and retract and say, hey, look,
we allow this CEO to make a huge mistake in
gamble with going along. But DEI is diversity, equity, equality, equity,

and inclusion. What's wrong with any of those words. But
when you choose to take those three words and make
that a case for your store, you are a fool.
Target should look like America. Dollar General, dollar Tree, and
all them mother dollars are to look like America. But

(01:58):
that's who supports you. I'm gonna tell you right now.
When you start closing these dollar generals, you're gonna hurt
a lot of people in rural America, and it main
just black people. See you all not understanding the full
impact and brunt of this policy that this new administration has,
and you get and you get slicked with their diversion

tactics and all this here what they call it. But
the reason they're getting away with this is for two reasons.
First of all, the Democrats are sitting here without a plan.
In Texas, they passed the ruling to redistrict. So do
you know what Governor Newsom did in California? He said
to off setting, He's gonna redistrict California. Who has enough

seats to offset the new Games. Here comes this Latino
lady on TV last night who's a Republican who's going
to fight him tooth and nail because that's not the
law of And Democrats are sitting there. Hey man, when
they do it in Texas and then you do it
in uh California, we breaking the law. Yeah, man, we

always fight fair. I don't like Democrats no more. Man
the week, y'all ain't got no y'all need to get
a plan.
