Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, guys, here we are, last break of the day.
It's been a fun day. And Steve, yeah, you.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Know, I was talking with the guy last night who
was he's a professional fisherman. He fishes on the Bass
tour and he well, he has so many aspirations for
so many other things. He's a retired veteran and he's
a retired police officer. So he went and did the
(00:33):
thing he was passionate about. He started fishing, and he
got some sponsors. He's got the boat with all the
logos on it to Jersey with all the logos on it,
the truck with all the logos on it. It's pretty good.
It's a heck of a nice guy. And we were
talking last night at dinner, and he was telling me
(00:55):
how much more he wanted, and I was trying to
remind him of but he'd accomplished already. From the time
he was a little boy. He said all he wanted
to do was fish, and he would cut out pictures
of Jimmy Houston and Bill Dance and put him on
his wall and stuff. And all his pictures on his
(01:16):
wall wasn't basketball players, it was fishermen. And so I
reminded him. Do you realize, man, you're saying you want more,
but you already know how. You envisioned it, You wrote
it down, you took the pictures. I said, you made
a dream board on your wall as a little boy.
(01:37):
And now look at me. Man, you got this boat
out here, you got this truck, you got all these sponsorships.
And he was understanding what I was saying, and then
he said, yeah, but I want so much more. I said, okay, well,
let's go back over this again. What did you do
to get what you have acquired thus for? And he
(01:59):
explained process. I said, then you have to do it again.
He said, but I've already done that. No, man, you
don't understand. Repetition is the key to success. Redundancy is
the key to success. Don't ever get tired of doing well.
Don't ever get tired of doing good. The Bible has
(02:22):
a scripture of something like that. I can't remember what
it is, never ceasing. I don't know something anyway. I
just know that you got to stay the course. A
guy talked his lesson to me when I was about
twenty one years old. Twenty two, I was laid off
from Ford Motor Company and this guy lived in the building,
(02:43):
older guy, and they had a ping pong room in
the building that I lived in, and we sho go
down there. It was four of us, man and we
used to play ping pong all day, had tournaments and everything.
We were all laid off from Ford Motor Company. And
this older guy, he knew that one of my strong
suits playing ping pong was my forehand. So all he
(03:04):
would do is hit the ball to my forehand. I smash,
hit the ball to my forehand, smash, smash, smash, And
then I got tired of doing it because I thought
the dude, I said, man, is he slow? So I
started doing a backhand, hitting it back and then he
would smashing it good point. And then he told me
one time, he said, why would't I hit it to
(03:24):
your forehand? You try to do something else. I said, man,
because I got tired of you hitting it over there.
I just wanted to do something else. He said, Man,
don't ever stop. Don't ever get tired of what you do.
To become successful, you just have to get in the
pattern of doing it over and over and over. And
what happens to people is you think, since you've done
(03:46):
it so many times, you want to try something new,
that's not always the case. You've got to be repetitive
with it. The thing you did to acquire a little bit,
suppose you compound that thing, Why would it not help
you make a lot? Okay, so if you put this
fishing boat on your board as a child, you put
(04:07):
all these pictures of Bill dancing Jimmy Houston on your wall,
And now you find yourself with a boat and a truck,
and you fish on a bass pro tournament, you get
paid the fish. Why don't you do the same thing again?
Why don't you put how much you want to make
on your wall, on your refrigerator, on your phone. Because
(04:32):
it's the same scripture that applies to all of us
over and over and over. And I just had to
remind myself of something, and I had to sit down
with my Bible, my ink pen, and my paper, and
I had to write it myself because I was wanting
something that I hadn't written. Rebeka two and two says,
write the vision and make it plain, so that he
(04:52):
who reads it will run to it, and even though
it terry, wait for it, for surely it will come
at an appointed time. What that means is simply this
everything you want. You have to write the vision and
make it plain. It's no way around that. It's not
another way. It's the way you did it when you
(05:16):
put their fishing boats and fish on your walls. Y'all,
don't ever stop getting tired of doing the things that
got you successful. What got you a little successful can
get you a lot of success if you do it repetitively,
over and over and over, and stop thinking that it's
not for you because God created you for you to prosper.
(05:43):
God don't need no super poor Christians. He don't need that.
He don't need you to be poor to prove what point.
God will allow you to prosper if you line up
with some of the things He's asking you to do.
Please please stop thinking it's not for you, because it is.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
You.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
You can have a good life. You ain't gotta be rich,
but you ain't got to struggle every time the first
of a month. Come man, you don't think God can
fix that? Whyon't you put it on the board. Put
the number that will help you stop struggling financially on
the board and watch and see what happened. God. Talk
(06:29):
to God today. He'd absolutely love to hear from you.
God is in the blessed bed since y'all he really is.
He tells it all the time.
