Speaker 1 (00:00):
Here we are, guys, our last break of the day,
our last break of the week, on this Friday. It's
been a great friday.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Yes, you know what, it's always interesting our opening remarks
because the junior has questions. So I think off the dome,
I would like to give Junior an opportunity to ask
me a question, and I'll use that as my closing remarks.
Junior usually has some really you know, interesting questions. And
so you know, Junior got any questions because I learned

(00:31):
so much. He never lets me down, he never lets.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Me I learned so much. I really do, I really do.
I understand being around you. It doesn't inspire me to
ask you these questions. But how do we be grateful
when it's hard? How do you fix your mouth to
say I appreciate everything God when it's difficult, when it's ugly.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Uh. That is challenging. That is challenging. Because what happens
is and these are my closes the remarks, by the way,
and since you asked me that what happens is when
we're facing hard times, our focus oftentimes becomes the difficulty,

(01:15):
and we focus so hard on the difficulty that we
lose sight of everything else. Because we think if we
apply ourselves wholly to this problem that it somehow will
change it. How many times have you discovered that it don't.

(01:36):
How many times have you discovered that worrying about something
did nothing. It didn't change it, It didn't move the needle,
it didn't accomplish anything. And when when it finally came
to fruition, this thing that you were worried about is
oftentimes way different than what you had imagined or thought,

(01:58):
and you are now I'm dealing with the whole another
set of things because you were worried about the one
aspect of it when it was really turned out to
be something else. So it is very, very difficult for
people to be grateful during the hard times because your
focus is on the hard times. What I do. What

(02:20):
I do is when I get into those moments where
I'm focusing on the hard times, I have trained myself
to go okay, because I'm human and I have my
moments where I'm going, man, this is a lot. Man,
What I'm gonna do? I think I ought to call
all to try this. I'm gonna fix this. I have

(02:41):
to catch myself and then I take inventory of my
track record. I have a very interesting thing that I
know how to do. I look back on all of
the difficult times God has bought me through. I think
of all the things I've overcome, and everybody has the
ability to do that. Look, you can stop right now

(03:03):
and think of something God has brought you through. And
I mean you can think of something that was challenging.
It may be grief, the loss of a loved one.
It could be a loss of a job. It could
be a loss of a home. It could be an
eviction notice, it could be a repole notice. It could
be a pink slip down at your job. But then
hold up, man, let's think about that. I've had a

(03:27):
car repoll before. You know what kind of cars I got.
Now I've came home and seen eviction notice on the
apartment door. I've seen my stuff put out on the
street before. You can't even get past my gate. Now

(03:47):
you ain't coming to put nothing out on the street.
When I look back on all God has brought me through,
and I'm just using myself as as an example, I'm
not bragging. I'm just using myself as an example because
you have the exact same examples. So like whenever I
get into those moments, I think of all the difficult

(04:08):
times he brought me through. I was thinking the other
day about when I was fishing, when I was homeless,
and this man saw me fishing. He said, hey, you
don't belong over here. This is a private property. I said, okay, sir,
I'm on my way. And I picked up the fishing
line to leave, and I had caught like two or
three fish on it. He said, hey, you put those
fish back. Those don't belong to you. Take them off

(04:30):
your line. So I had to unhook these fish and
throw them back in the pond. And he didn't know, man,
that I was homeless, that I was trying to feed
myself that night, that I had a skillet, some corn
meal and some grease in my trunk with some charcoal.
And when I went to rest areas, I would find
those grills that was built into the ground, those little
cast iron grills, and I'd make a fire and everything

(04:52):
and fry my fish. He didn't know that's what I
was doing. And one time, man, a man ran me
off man and I had tears in my eye because Man,
I was hungry and I didn't have enough money. And
I said, man, this dude right here. Ought to just
take these fishing run but I didn't. And you know
what I was thinking about that junior, when I was

(05:13):
standing on my ranch fishing, and as I was pondering
that moment, man I went wild. Look at me. Now,
I got a ranch where you can't run me off
of no more, and I can fish any time I
want to. And man O, man o, man If you
can develop that ability to when you are in your

(05:36):
darkest moments, reflect on your other dark moments that He's
bought you through, that will help you become grateful. Because
I'm telling you, man If I thank God all day long,
I still fall short of everything He's done for me.

(05:56):
I don't care how much time I spend thinking him,
I ain't done enough because what He's done for me
over and over and over again, the track record of
success with God Almighty is one hundred percent. So I
have no fear, no doubt that whatever I'm going through,
whether I no matter what I'm facing, when I look
back on all all the trials and tribulations, he was

(06:19):
there and he got me through him and he gonna
get you through that one too. That's how you remain
grateful in the hard times. If you develop that skill set, y'all,
it will serve you well throughout your life.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
And the more grateful you are.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
The more God you for the proposal Court, those are
my clothes relaps. Have yourself a great day to day.
You talk to God today, y'all, you will absolutely love
to hear from them.
