Speaker 1 (00:00):
In closing, I'd like to remind people it's kind of
something we had kind of touched on. In the opening
of the show, Junior said that he heard a quote. Junior,
do you remember what the quote was that you said?

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Yes, It says, if you think the cost of success
is high, wait till you get the bill from regret.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
One more time, Junior.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
If you think the cost of success is high, wait
until you get the bill from regret.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
We had talked about this this morning.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
If you think the cost of success is high, wait
till you get the bill for regret.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
I've been in that decision before.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
And everyone gets to those moments in life where you
have to turn right or you turn left. And I'm
not saying turn right as in the right way or
left is the wrong way. I'm just saying everybody gets
to a crossroad in life where you have to go
this way or that way. What I found in life
is that the way that you should go is always

(01:11):
the harder route. It usually always is. It looks the
least amount of fun. It doesn't show right away what
all the upside is.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
It just looks hard. Then there's an easy way you
could take.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
You can strike out and set your boundaries as difficult
and high and hard, or you can take the easy
route and go I ain't gonna do nothing. I ain't
doing that today. That just looked too hard. I've made
the decision before in my life not to take the hard.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Way and boil, boil, boil, boy, I had nothing but regret.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
So what I've learned in my travels and in my
life experiences is I now understand that success is a process,
and it is a difficult process. It is simply hard.
But that's my only decision from here on out. And

(02:13):
I've been making those decisions since I was nearly forty.
I don't take no easy way. I expect it to
be difficult. I expect it to be challenging. I know
that it's gonna be hard. I know it's gonna be
froth with disappointment. I know it's going to be most challenging.

(02:35):
But I also know it's gonna be very, very rewarding.
What I will not do is take the nothing route,
the easy route, the settle forward route that I ain't
gonna do this because this right here, man, I just
ain't doing that today.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Because, buddy, let me tell you something.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
When you get that bill for regret when you look
back on what it should have could a man if
I only had went on and faced it, that's a
hard one to live with.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Man, that's a life of regret.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
And all of us know somebody somewhere who is living
in a life of regret and man quitting. Quitting is
the biggest sponsor of regret because when you quit, you
never know what the end could have been.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
See.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Often the struggler has given up when he might have
captured the victor's cup, and he learns too late, when
the night came down how close he was to the
golden crown. See that stanza in that poem Don't Quit
is a very effective one. Often the struggler has given

(03:47):
up when he might have captured the victor's cup, and
he learns too late, when the night came down how
close he was to the golden crown. That's regret, man,
when you give up just in the nick of time,
Because giving up assures you one thing, and one thing only,

(04:08):
that you will not win, that there is no way
you can see victory.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
That's what giving up guarantees. Now, it ain't no guarantee.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
If you stay with it, but the possibility remains that
you will succeed and you will become a victor. But
see so to those of you that look at things
so wrong all the time. Yeah, but see Steve, you
just said, even if you stick with it, it ain't
no guarantee.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Ain't no guarantees in life.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
But if you stick with it, the possibility remains. Why
would you destroy the possibility? Why would you remove all hope?
That don't make no sense to me? And even if
you fail, if you go lie a little bit further
up the road, you get a little bit more experienced,

(05:04):
you get a little bit more learning, you get a
little bit more knowledge, so the next time that may
be the experience and the knowledge you need to win.
Don't ever give up, don't ever quit, don't ever succumb
to regret.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Stay with it.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
You never know when God is gonna flip the switch,
and he ain't never been too late. Those are my
clothes remarks. Hey, y'all, do yourself a favor of talk
to God today. He would absolutely love to hear from you.
And it don't matter if he you ain't talked to
him in a while. He's a forgiving God. He's forgiven
me thousands of times I'm gonna probably use up a

(05:44):
few hundred more for.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
I leave this world.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
I'm gonna try to cut it down to just a
few hundreds and not do the thousands.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
