Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, guys, here we go, last break of the
day on this Thursday. It's been a fun day. We
got to say happy twenty first anniversary to Carla and
Tasha again, the pharaohs, Yer, thank you.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Thank you. Yeah, twenty one years. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
A lot of love my heart work, Yeah, a lot
of hard work.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Love my husband, love my man. Alright, those closing remarks.
I had a question for you, Steve, Okay, I'll take it.
What are the things that you think you should let
go of?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Oh wow, what are the things I think I would
let go of? Well, first of all, and this is
gonna sign sound kind of wide wide spread, but you've.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Got to release worry.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Worry is a dangerous thing because it occupied time and
it robs you of the gift of the present. Worry
is a dangerous component because it robs you of the
gift of the present.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
If God allows you to.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Have today as a gift, and he wakes you up,
it allows you exist in it and this is yours
and He still has something for you. But you spend
that day worrying about one of two things tomorrow or yesterday.
And I got news for you. You can't do You cannot

(01:38):
do anything about either one of those. Worry is time consuming.
Worry destroys the act of faith, which is a requirement
to have a really, really great relationship with God. God
really just wants you to do simple things. Just believe

(01:59):
in him. God wants you to trust in Him. But
you got to have a relationship with Him. But worry
cancels out that relationship because it has you focused on
things you can't control. And it also puts you in
the position of you're not talking to God about this.

(02:22):
I can assure you, if you're worrying about something repeatedly,
over and over and over, you haven't turned it over
to God. I know people say yes, Steve, but you
still got to think about stuff. I said worry. I
didn't say think. Anybody told you not to think. I
said worry. I would let go of worry because worried.

(02:47):
Does you know how many times have you worried about
something tomorrow and when tomorrow God here, it ain't or
nothing like that. I mean, zilch ah man oh man,
I mean, and it can go both ways.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Man.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I thought tomorrow when I woke up, I was gonna
get some great news, only to find out that celebration
need to be put on hold, homie, you ain't got
no good news today, or I was expecting some bad
news tomorrow, and I was worrying about this bad news.
And then when I showed up God and worked it

(03:24):
completely out another way, and it was over with.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
So guess what I did. I wasted my yesterday.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
I ruined my moment of present peace worrying about something
I had no control over. I would get rid of worry.
The other thing I would get rid of. I would
get rid of people who bring me nothing but bad news.
Life is already difficult. The last thing you need is
somebody had every time you see them, something wrong, something

(03:52):
going on. Did you see what they said about you
on the internet? Man, did you read this? It's this true.
I don't know how you do it. I was at
the barber shop and they was just talking about you.
I be just sitting there. Hey, hey, hey man, hey,
hey hey stop stop stop stop bringing that to me,
because guess what I'm having another day of perfect peace.

(04:14):
And now here you come with that. Take people out
your life that are not praying for you, pulling for you,
cheering for you and helping you. If you are the
one that always has to do something for them. You
are being used and manipulated and you don't need that.

(04:35):
The other thing I would get rid of is the
fear of saying no. It's okay to say no.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
Man.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Stop wondering what people gonna think about you if you
say no. Let me tell you what say Noh. Yes,
they gonna feel what they want to feel about you
anyway you can give it to them, and they talk
about you. You know what, manytimes you've helped somebody and
then later on they forgot you helped them, and you
hear them talking about you somewhere. Man, lose your fear
of saying no, no, Man, I can't do that. I

(05:05):
just gotta text this morning. Hey man, I'm in town. Man,
I got this going on, that going on. I need
about ten minutes of your time. I say, I ain't
got it, man, I'm busy. You ain't got ten minutes. No, no, no,
not for you. I don't not for you, because I
know the ten minutes is gonna break my peace.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
You not my child.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
If my child need ten minutes, I have an obligation
to them. I still feel obligated to my children, even
though the youngest one is twenty eight if they say, Dad,
I need to talk to you, I'm finna give them
some time.

Speaker 4 (05:41):
But other than.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
That, man, lose your fear of saying no, no, it's
good man. Protect your peace, protect your happiness, protect your space,
get away from those people. So those are the things
I would lose my fear, worry, I would lose my

(06:02):
fear of people. I would lose people around me who
bring me no good. And I would lose my fear
of saying no, no, no thank you. As a matter
of fact, put thank you with it, hey, man, can
you loan me five hundred dollars? No? Thank you? No, no,
thank you.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
No.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
It affects them differently. Try it. Try it today. Somebody
gonna ask you for some money, Just say no, thank you.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Y'all have a great day today, and remember everybody talk
to God today. He would absolutely love to hear from you.
All right, y'all, have a good will see all the
gods will will see you.
