Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, guys. Here we are on this Friday, our
last break of the day of the week. It is Friday.
It is time to get to it. The weekend is here.
I love it. Carly, you had a question for Steve. Yes, Steve,
what do you do when you feel lost?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
You know, I guess when you say when you feel lost,
that could be viewed a few ways. If you're in
a state of confusion, that can make you feel lost.
If you're in a state of uncertainty, that can make
you feel lost. If you just don't know which way

(00:39):
to go, where to turn, you have no idea what
your next move is or should be. I guess all
of those things can be fit under I'm lost. Sometimes
lost can be a feeling of hopelessness, like you just
feel like it just ain't gonna ever turn around for you.

(01:03):
That can make you feel lost. We've all we've all
experienced it. I know for sure I have. And every
now and then, even now, as old as I am,
as spiritual as I become, I'm still human and I
have moments. I'm actually currently in a position now where

(01:24):
I don't know exactly what I'm going to do. I
really don't And I and It was really funny because
just another clip I was scrolling through and a clip
came up of Bishop TD Jakes on my talk show
and I said to him, Man, sometimes, man, I just

(01:45):
don't know what tomorrow brings. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
What to do.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Bishop Jake's response was, and you're not supposed to. You're
not supposed to know what the future holds. You're not
supposed to You're not gonna always know what to do,
what your next move is, because if you knew all
of that, that will destroy the thing that God wants

(02:13):
from us, which is faith. These are the tests of LIFs.
When you're lost, when you're confused, when you're the state
of confusion, when you can't find direction, when you don't
know what to do, when you know where your next
move is coming from, that pushes you in a place
that you really need to be. And when I feel lost,

(02:35):
when I feel in a state of confusion, I know
to be still and let God. Now what do I
mean by that? When I'm in those spaces that I'm
in right now, I have to look back on my
track record and realize I've been here before and how
did it pan out after that? And I can't always

(02:57):
point to everything exactly. But I do know I've gotten
through all of those moments that God was somewhere working
on my behalf that I didn't know anything about. But
you gotta really get into your faith, man, because this
feeling of lost is an opening for the devil too.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
See.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
You gotta be real careful here, because when you feel
lost in a state of confusion, you don't know what
your next move is gonna be. You can't seem to
get it right, you seem stuck in a rut. The
devil is in there, in that rut, in that state
of confusion, offering little light suggestions to keep you there.

(03:39):
You've been praying about this. I guess God then said no. See,
sometimes delayed don't mean denied. It just ain't coming at
the time you won't. You gotta be careful because the
devil will make you think God don't even hear your prayers.
The devil will make you think do what you was

(03:59):
gonna do before, stop waiting on him, Just go and
do something. I got a friend that's got a real
ignorant saying, what does he say? I'm gonna do something
even if it's wrong. What do know how ignorant. That is, well,
I ain't finna just stand here and do nothing. I'm
gonna do something even if it's wrong. Well, that don't

(04:21):
make no sense, But he repeats that all the time,
and the devil will make you do something like that.
I'm gonna do something even if it's wrong. Let's talk
about a couple of specific examples. Let's say, ladies, you've
been in a bad relationship and you get out and
you just want to be in a relationship. You just
want to have somebody. You know, you don't want to
be by yourself. You just you just want to have somebody.

(04:43):
And then somebody comes along and you get a little
feeling that he just ain't quite right. But because you
tied of being alone, you decide I'm gonna go on
and see what he about. Well, to me, that's doing
something even if it's wrong. If you know something ain't right,
don't do it. If you get an inkling, don't do it.

(05:05):
Don't let the devil get into that negative space. When
you feel lost, immediately stop, let go and let God
take whatever your problem, your decision, your confusion is. Put
it in the hands of God Almighty, and trust and
believe that He gonna get you through it, because think
about it, everything you've ever gone through, He's gotten you

(05:27):
through it. Your track record for surviving bad days, unthinkable
outcomes is one hundred percent. You survived them all. He
is never too late, like I know he coming like
right now. I feel like he a little late right now,
but I already know he ain't late. That he gonna
come just on time, in time, at the right time.

(05:48):
But it's gonna be his time because God's timing is
not like ours. This is the time when you feel
lost to lean more on your faith, more on your
relationship with God, get closer. It's an opportunity to put
your dependence right where it belongs, and that's on him.

(06:11):
God don't want you dependent on man. You know, I
had to come to terms with that. I was counting
on a bunch of people. I really was. God don't
want that from me. He don't want that from me.
So that's the lesson I've learned. So when you feel lost,
go deeper to Him. Trust him. You'll be alright. Those
are my closing remarks. Listen, y'all, here's the important thing.

(06:34):
Talk to God today. He would absolutely love to hear
from you. Come on, brothers, think about that. Just talk
to God and be all right.
