Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, guys, here we are our last break of
the day. And Junior, Yeah, you have a question for
Steve before we get out, Jr.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
And Jr. Something Junior. If you don't have a question,
I have something I want to say anyway, but go ahead,
let me say. I'd like to hear you questions. Let
me ask you about that. Man. You know, a lot
of time we be shamed. We'll be shamed about something
about going to God about something we've done. Maybe we
don't feel good about it, but working through that and
may feel like I'm not worthy or I shouldn't be.

(00:30):
You know, I'm not thinking before it's amazing. Well, yeah,
because I'm human and I've done something so bad that
I didn't even talk to God for a while because
I just knew he got to be upset with me
on this one, and he was probably disappointed in me.

(00:54):
But God's disappointment in you and willingness for you. Let
me just put it to you this way. God's love
for you overshadows anything you can do. You can't do
nothing to make him stop loving you. Now. He the
only one you can say that about. Now. My mama.

(01:15):
I think my mama would have loved me no matter
what I do. But she'd have been shamed though, because
but and been. Then I know I've embarrassed my mama.
I know, I know I embarrassed my mama. One Christmas
so bad, man, I felt so bad. She brought me
a MEMORYCS recorder for Christmas. The first thing I recorded
on that was Rudy ray Mole's signifying Monkey Deep Burn Bailey,

(01:41):
way down in the Jungle Deep because I had been
listening to my father listening to it on his record player,
and I recorded it one morning. But I left my
recorder in the living room. After church, my mama brought
some friends over to the house and said, I bought
my baby this memory recorder. He just been recording on

(02:03):
it all day. Now I'm sitting on the steps looking.
I want to go eat this recorder right now. I
want to go over there and put this MEMORYX recording
in my mouth and eat this thing. Because but then
she held it up and had it in her lap,
and I was just looking, and I said, man, and
then she said let me see, and she pressed play. Oh.

(02:25):
I had some little I had a box where I
did the beginning because the beginning was like like a
jungle beat like bongos. And then I said way down
in the jungle deep and I said now. She just
pressed stop right now, I'll be okay, But she didn't
know how. She just left it on play. The cussing

(02:47):
that I was doing on Christmas Day in front of
them church women. Boy, let me tell you something. I'm
sitting on them steps looking at this tears, tears run
it down my cheek because I know this is the
end of my life. I'm gonna die today. Yeah, that's
today the time she gonna kill me. I already noticed.

(03:10):
So I've had some moments that I've truly embarrassed her.
God forgave me for that. My mama never did. Oh yeah,
how many Christmas has I heard about that? Do you
know how many times every time she walked past that
recorder that's where your little nasty mouth was talking into

(03:32):
the Oh God, God forgave me and never bought it up.
Matter of fact, God turned them lemons into lemonade. Little
did I know that I was one day gonna be
my own version of Rudy Raymo. He was preparing me
for what I was going to be, and I didn't
even know it. So, you know, man, I've done some

(03:57):
things in my life that I've been ashamed of. But
I'm gonna tell you something. I don't care what you've done.
Because of God's grace and mercy, you can make it.
I don't care how you've been done. Because of God's
grace and mercy, you can make it. I don't care
what they said about what you're done, or what they

(04:18):
said that you did that you didn't do. You can
make it because of God's grace and mercy. I don't
care how many times you stumble and fall, God to
pick you up. I don't care how many times you
get it wrong, God to help you correct it. I
don't care how many mistakes you've made. God can help

(04:40):
you overcome it. That is the beauty of having a
relationship with God. Now, when you don't have the relationship
with God, the devil's number one mission is to rob
you of your destiny. So guess what the devil does
is since you don't have relationship with God. Cool. I'm
not gonna remind you that God is in a forgiving
be is this God is in to get your life together?

(05:02):
Business that God can forgive you no matter what you've done.
I'm gonna let you lay there and wallow in your
misery and think you've ruined your life. And if I
get you to think and you've ruined your life, then
there's no way that you can accomplish or be what
God created you to be. The devil has one mission
that is to ruin you and stop you from your destiny.

(05:25):
So if you out there today and you wallowing in
your misery, if you out there today and you've made
what you think is an unforgivable mistake, let me ask
you something. Have you asked God to forgive you? Because
people are not gonna do it, but God will, and
he'll give you the strength to get you through it.
Everything I've ever messed up on, God got me through it. Man,

(05:51):
I'm so grateful. Boy, I flunked out of school. All
my partners come to my ranch have college degrees, every
last one of them. I was the only one that
flunked out of school. Boy, look at God, you boy, God,

(06:14):
God lifts you up in front of some people that
was laughing at you. Man. Yeah, will He'll prop you
right on up, y'all. Have a good day to day. Man, y'all,
as a matter of fact, have a great day to day.
I know I am. I'm one of God's favorites man,
and I just talked myself into it. Just now, y'all
do the same formal relationship with God, man helping let
him go get you through it. So what you made

(06:36):
a mistake don't mean nothing you good Peace shall for all.

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
