All right, guys, here we are, last break of the
day on this Tuesday, the good day, the good day.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
What a countdown his.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Own and yeah, yeah, hey, you got here quickly.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
I was talking a little bit about I kind of
thought about some things today. But you know what I
wanted to give all my final thoughts to today, It's
about your personal peace. Discovering your personal piece is valuable.
You know, we were doing a story that a lady

(00:37):
had called in and she saw her She called her
husband three times on his phone, and she looked outside
and he was just sitting in his car. But he
wasn't picking up the phone. He was just sitting there
and she called him three times, and it aggravated the
woman that he would ignore her call when she was

(01:01):
just calling to see if he was okay. And I
was just saying in my response to the caller that
you know, your husband was just gathering himself. He was
just having a peaceful moment. He just you don't know
what sometimes somebody's dealing with or going through and they
just need to collect themselves. Well, she had an attitude

(01:22):
about it and was that upset with her husband for
ignoing the call, and I just kind of understood it.
I've been there before. But I got to tell you,
some ladies, every last one of your men have done that.
I got news for you. You've done that. Every woman

(01:42):
has done that. Just looked at the phone and went,
uh uh, not today. And you know what, you have
every right to do that, because, folks, I'm telling you
you have got to start protecting your peace. And everybody
not gonna understand it. Because when the disruptor of the

(02:04):
peace wants something, needs something, they gonna make their call
and they don't care what it disturbs. Well, sometimes you
have to stop it. You know, you ever been on
a merry go Remember when you were a kid and
you used to get on the merry go round and
it was fun for a while, but then after a
while you go, I gotta get off the merry go round.

(02:26):
It's too much. It's too much spinning. I'm dizzy. Life
can do that same thing to you. Sometimes life just
get to life and and you need a minute. I've
done it. I can't tell you how many times. Man,
I'll be sitting somewhere having a peaceful moment and my
phone ring and I'll look at that caller idea and

(02:48):
I know exactly who it is. But no, no, no, no, no, no, man,
you're not not my piece that I'm having right now.
I had an employee you called me the other day,
and I just didn't have the time because I already
know this little needy, little employee I got. This guy
is just and so then here come the text. I

(03:11):
really need to speak to you. It's really it's important.
I really need to speak to you. It's an emergency.
No no, man, call your parents, Call your parents. Don't
call your boss, call your parents. You got parents, I
know them, Call your parents. Because I have to protect
my peace. Folks. It's nothing wrong with protecting your peace,

(03:35):
because if you let people disrupt your peace anytime and
every time they want to, you're not gonna have any
You're just not gonna have it. Every mother deserves the peace.
Every time your child wants something, it's not an emergency.
Every time your husband wants something, it's not ain't your job,

(03:59):
husband's every time your wife wants something, it ain't just
some of the stuff. Man, You just need a minute.
You just need a minute, and you know creator readon. Hey,
look I'm sorry I was busy or what you need,
but have your peace for a moment. I tell you
something else I do people that's not related to me,

(04:23):
my kids and my wife. When I get that call,
hey man, I really need to talk to you. It's important.
I wait seventy two hours. I wait seventy two hours,
cause let me tell you something, man. These emergencies that
people haven't call them back, hey man, and I call

(04:46):
them back in seventy two hours. Hey man, you good.
I'm sorry. I was traveling. I just saw your text.
You good. Huh? They done forgot because they ain't an
emergency in the world that lasts seventy two hours. Listen
to me, There is not an emergency in the world
that lasts seventy two hours, not in a single person's life.

(05:11):
Now for country at war, yeah we got problem. But
in your personal life, no, sir, No sir, no sir,
because you're gonna solve that, and you're gonna solve it
without me, And then I'm gonna call you as a
concern friend and ask you what's going on. But I
will make sure that your emergency has passed. Now. If

(05:31):
you my kids, my wife, I gotta jump on it.
I gotta do my job, but I know way too
many people where I need to try to be the
answer for everybody, and so do you. You are usually the
one that they call anyway, and they call you first
because they know you got sense and you're doing better
than them, and they know you got some money. So

(05:53):
here they come. Well, if you didn't know me, what
would you do? Let's try that. That's why I wait
seventy two hours, because you know what it is, y'all,
and you must feel this way too. I get tired
of being everybody's option a. Sometimes I choose to be

(06:15):
my own option a and it does not include you. Today.
Thank you for not disturbing my peace. But I thank
you more for me for recognizing that I don't have
to allow you to disturb my peace either. Those are
my clothes and remarks today, Junior, have a good one man.
Stop choking people. Hey, listen, y'all talk to God today,

(06:36):
who would absolutely love to hear from us.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
