I'm thinking of some closing remarks today. I want to
be encouraging, so let me just say this. Listen to me, folks,
as long as you are alive, as long as God
gives you breath, you have a chance. There is always

a possibility, as long as you are yet in this
land of the living.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Because understand something clearly.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
The reason you woke up today, the reason you will
continue to wake up because God ain't through with you yet.
Because God still has a reason, a purpose for you.
And I know that's the hard part for some people
because you just can't find your purpose. Let me help

you with that a little bit, because the saying goes
the two most important days of your life, or the
day you born and.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
The day you discover why.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
The why you were born is tied directly to your gift.
Those two go hand in hand. It is the reason
He gave it to you. You see, God never created
a single soul on this earth that He did not
provide a gift with. Everybody got one. You are gifted.

(01:27):
You just gotta stop wanting to be somebody else and
you got to be who God created you to be.
Do you know that comparison is the greatest thief of joy.
Comparison is the greatest thief of joy. It's hard to

(01:48):
be glad about who you are if you steady comparing
yourself to somebody else. It's hard to get on your path.
If you keep looking at somebody else's path, it'll rob
you of your joy. Get in touch with who you are,
who God created you to be. What is your gift?
Your gift? I've said this a thousand times on this show.

(02:10):
Your gift is the thing that you do the absolute
best with the least amount of effort. That's your God
given gift. And you have to stop looking at gifts
as running, jumping, singing, and dancing, that are the other gifts.
If you fry chicken better than everybody else down at
that church and everybody in the neighborhood, you might be.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Gifted at frying chicken.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
If baking pies is your specialty and you do it
better than anybody else, then maybe you should be.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Somewhere just baking pies.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
If you do have better than anybody else and everybody
come to your house for you to do their hair,
you ought to be a halfstylist.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
If you do lashes and eyebrows better than anybody.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
If you cut grass better than anybody, if you work
with your hands better than anybody else, if you fix
cars better than anybody else, if you know how to
work on motorcycles better than anybody else.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Have you ever thought that's your gift?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
If you tie your gift, if you become passionate about
your gift.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
The Bible says your gift will make room for you.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
You know what that means. It'll allow you to spread out.
It'll make a way for you. That's what that means.
When it says your gift will make room for you,
it will take you down paths. It will qualify you.
That's what your gift will do. And if you can
become passionate about your gift, you will discover your purpose

(03:32):
because then waking up becomes more exciting. The reason a
lot of people ain't excited because they not living in
their gift. You got a job somewhere. There ain't nothing
wrong with having a job. Because I made my job
sponsor my dreams. I made my job pay for my dreams.
I was practicing my gift while I was on my job.

(03:55):
I just didn't know it. I was so funny on
the assembly line. I was so entertaining on the semi line.
People just tell me all the time, boy, you ain't
got no b business here. Y'all be on TV somewhere.
I can't tell you how many times I heard that,
and Lord have mercy, they was right. But get passionate
about your gift. It'll cause you waking up to be

even greater. I can't wait to wake up in the
morning because guess what I'm gonna go do my gift Now,
my gift started out simply as comedy, That's where it started.
But my gift was a tree trunk, and under that
tree trunk I have several branches that have come for that.
And now young people today they don't even know me

(04:41):
as a comedian. You know what they know me.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
As they say, Uncle Steve is a motivational speaker.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Because that gift of being able to take information and
transpose it immediately into comedy. As you can listen to
my voice right now. I now have taken that same thing,
the ability to take informed, and I've turned it and
transposed it into inspiration. So I can talk about inspiring
people without saying oh him, oh oh. Let me think

(05:09):
I ain't got nothing to say. No, this is off
the top of my head because God was preparing me
for this. He was preparing me for moments that I
would have a voice to become relevant, a voice to
become authentic. And that's my gift and I'm using it.
And that's why I don't mind waking up in the morning.

(05:30):
You won't mind waking up in the morning if you
get it, if you get to working on your gift. Now,
I'm not saying you got to go out and quit
your job like I did.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Matter of fact, I don't recommend that to the average
person because you may not have the same stuff in
you that I have in me. But I am saying,
take the money from your job and he'll responsor your dreams.
Buy you some more chemicals to do mo hair at
your house. Take your job and buy you a better alarm,
or to cut the grass. Take your job man and

(05:59):
buy you more bacon supplies, a bigger stove. Follow your
dream and as long as God wakes you up, it's
because He ain't threw it you yet, and He's got
something for you to receive.
