Speaker 2 (00:22):
That's right, ladies, and Jonah's time for the Strawberry Letter
with my good friend Shirley Strawberry.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Thank you, my good friend, Junior, and welcome back. Subject
does my husband know I'm cheating? Dear Stephen, Shirley, I'm
no angel, but I don't deserve how my ex lover
is acting. My husband of seventeen years is a cheater
and I think he has a girlfriend now, but I'll
never leave him because I love him. Instead, I called
(00:48):
myself getting some loving on the side from one of
my husband's friends. After eight months of fooling around, the
guy started liking me too much, so I cut him off.
I stopped having sex with him him about a month ago.
He called me crying so much that I had to
block him. I also blocked him from all of my
social media accounts. Last week, he showed up at my
(01:09):
hair salon and paid for my hair, just like he
always did. He waited for me in the parking lot,
and I walked past him and ignored him. I think
that is what made him snap. He told my sister
that he was going to fight for me to be his.
For days, I was worried about what he might do.
What's crazy is that he was still real cool with
(01:31):
my husband this whole time. He's even mentioned to my
husband that he's seeing someone new. I must have really
put it on this man, because he snapped. Last night,
he showed up at my mama's house while my husband
and I were over there. I walked outside to smoke
a cigarette and this man was parked in mama's driveway.
(01:51):
My husband came outside and was glad to see him
and asked how he knew where we were. I was panicking,
but that fool was calm and collect when he told
my husband that he was just passing by. My husband
looked at both of us and then smiled and went
back inside like he figured it all out. He hasn't
said a word to me. Should I tell my husband
(02:12):
everything that's happened between us or does he already know?
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Well?
Speaker 1 (02:18):
I mean sometimes you can sometimes I know why you're laughing, Okay,
I know why you're laughing. Sometimes you can tell what's
going on by a look or the energy in the air.
So maybe your husband figured it out because it was
too much of a coincidence with his friend just popping
up like that.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
I mean, I.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Really don't know what you want me to say here,
because of course, none of this is morally right and
none of this makes sense. I will give you credit
for this. You did try to break it off with
this psycho friend, but he just kept stalking you. I'm
also struck stuck on the fact that you know your
husband is cheating. You said that, but you're okay with
(02:58):
that obviously because you say you will never leave him
and you love him. That's your answer right there. I mean,
so again, if you're staying with your husband and your
husband hasn't mentioned it to you, what's the big deal
whether you spill your guts to your husband or not.
I think the bigger worry right now for you is
what is this crazy friend gonna do next? I mean,
where's he gonna show up next? He said he would
(03:20):
fight for you to be his What exactly does that mean, though, Steve?
Speaker 4 (03:26):
Mean just what he said.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
See, men ain't that smart sherely don't worry about no,
we ain't got no cold language and.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
All like that. This letter is so in your face.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
It's I mean, normally, let us leave out a lot
of stuff, right, She just kind of put all the
basic stuff in there.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
I'm no angel hit a lot.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
The most incredible line in the whole thing for me
was but I don't deserve how my ex lover is active. Really,
you don't deserve that.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
You do. You should have known.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
By now in this point in your life that you
can't control what other people do. I'm pretty sure you
have had to come to this conclusion before. But you
just don't deserve how your ex lover is active. Your
husband of seventeen years is a cheater and you think
he got a girlfriend. But you say you'll never leave
(04:37):
him because you love him. Oh okay, that's crazy. So
you're just he do what he wanted to do. I'm
not leaving him. I love him no matter how he
feel about you.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
You just gonna stay.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
If he disrespects you, that's cool. If he gets somebody else,
that's cool. If he cheat on you, that's cool. If
he got a girlfriend, that's cool. I love him. I
ain't going nowhere. Okay, then okay, then the letter you
wrote to us is really it ain't about that, So
we ain't got to figure out if you should stay
(05:11):
your gold. You've already told us you staying okay cool,
So now let's see what you're gonna stay for. You
said you're gonna get yourself some loving on the side
from one of your husband's friends. God, there was a
stupid decision. You couldn't have found nobody else. Ladies, you
can find somebody else. You can find a man to
(05:36):
cheap up. No shortage. It ain't gonna take long. It
happened today. After eight months to fooling around, the God
start the goud start liking me too much, so I
cut him off. I stopped having sex with him about
a month ago. Now make up your mind. Now, after
(05:57):
eight months and fooling around, okay, the guy start and
liking me so much, so you cut him off, and
then you stop having sex with him. A month ago
he called me crying so much I had to block him.
I blocked him on all the accounts he showed up
in my hairsalone to pay for my hair like he
always did. He waited on me the pocket lot. I
(06:18):
walked right past him and ignoring him. I think that's
what made him snap. No, No, he has snapped before.
This is the crackle pop. You just didn't crackle pop
right now.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
He snapped. He's been to snap.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
I like it, Steve.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
Nah, it's crackle pop. Hang on, I tell you the rest. Yeah.

All right, come on, Steve. Let's recap today's strawberry letter.
The subject is does my husband you know I'm cheating?
Speaker 4 (08:01):
Okay, y'all listen to me.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Here's a woman that the rote the letter, that's been
married for seventeen years. Her husband, she says, is a
cheater and think he got a girlfriend right now, But
she don't care. She's not leaving him because she loves him.
So this letter is not about should I leave my
husband or now the decision has been made, so she
(08:25):
says she gonna get her little love and on the side,
she decides to start seeing one of her husband's friends.
Now they've been having sex now for eight months, but
then the guy started caring about her too much, so
she decided to stop having sex with him a month ago.
But he been calling crying so much she didn't have
(08:47):
to block him on all the social media accounts. Then
last week he showed up at the Hassle Line while
she was getting her hassle head done and paid for
her hair like he always do.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
But then he waited for her in the parking lot.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
And that's and I walked past him, ignored him. I
think that's what made him snap. Now let's get to
this part right here. He been just snapped that still
paying for hair while y'all ain't having sex.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
That's snapped.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
That crying and calling you after you broke up with him.
That snapped him waiting in the parking lot and you
walking past him. Now we're entering into crackle pop. See
you finna get the whole fox that writes Christmas? Now
that snap, crackle and pop crackle? Is he in the
(09:44):
parking lot? You walk past him and don't say nothing
to him, and he'd have paid for your hair. He
told your sister he was gonna fight for you to
be his. Shirley said, you need to find out what
that is. I told you, Shirley, Sureley, listen to me.
We ain't that bright. He fits the throw hands. He
(10:06):
wants to tell his friend she mine. Now that's what
he wants to do. Man, I got proof. What's crazy
is that is he's still real cool with.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
My husband this whole time.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
You told us you went and got one of your
husband's friends. He's even mentioned to my husband that he's
seeing someone new. He you are entering the crackle pop
phase of the relationship. Snap is all ready to happen.
(10:41):
You are entering the crackle pop phase of the relationship.
Her husband he's seeing somebody.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Knew what it's your wife? Who do that?
Speaker 5 (10:57):
Now?
Speaker 4 (10:57):
You ready for this?
Speaker 2 (10:58):
I must have really put it on this man, because
he snapped no, no, no, yeah yeah he snapped back
there when you always having a snack. See he crackling
and popping right now. Last night here we go, here
go pop now snap.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Crackle yeah, this is crazy.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Last night he showed up at my mama's house while
my husband and I was over there. I walked outside
to smoke a cigarette and this man was poffed in
my mama's driveway.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Crackle and pop.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
See snap snap, been over with we crackling and popping
right now. My husband came outside and was glad to
see him and ask how he knew where we were.
I was panicking, but that food was calm and collected
when he told my husband I was just passing by.
(11:53):
My husband looked at both of us, smiled, and went
back inside like he figured it all out. Now, let
me explain something to you that is not the reaction
of a husband who finds out his wife is sleeping
with his friend. I look at both y'all, smile, go
back in the house. So he don't know, but he
(12:14):
also don't care about you. He hasn't said a word
to me. Now here's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Should I tell my husband everything that's happened between us
or does he already know?
Speaker 4 (12:30):
Well, see, listen to me.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
The key right now is for you to find out
if he already know.
Speaker 4 (12:36):
And all you got to do is wait for.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
What I cannot recommend to anybody, man or woman, is
to walk in the house with the evidence, come on
and present it to the jury.
Speaker 4 (12:52):
We're not finn do this.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
That makes no sense at all, because now you're fin
to find out the whole rest of the crackle and pop.
Speaker 4 (13:03):
I just think you laylow. You stop seeing the man.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Now the conversation you're gonna have to try to uh
have is with crackle pop.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
Snap.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
You've already you slept with Snap. You gotta get the
mother because he three people. He snapped crackle and pop.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
He's on.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
He's a white man with a tall hat on, and
you got to sit him down and try to reason
with somebody that comes in three. If she don't talk
to this man, she fit to be eating fruit loops.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
