Speaker 2 (00:19):
How about that?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
How about that? Buckle up and hold on tight. We
got it for you here it is Strawberry Letter.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Subjects he and his brother's baby mama. Dear Stephen Shirley.
I was married for eleven years and we had two daughters.
The last three years of our marriage, he messed with
his brother's baby mother and she got pregnant. His brother
has two sons by this woman, and my husband is
the godfather of both of his brother's sons. His brother

(00:47):
left left her after he caught her in bed with
another man at their house. She started popping up at
our house to talk to my husband, and I always
assumed it was to talk about his brother's dumping her.
I invited her over for Thanksgiving and she pulled my
husband aside to talk to him, and I let them talk.

(01:08):
She got very upset and was crying. Then she got
I rate and started pointing her finger forcibly forcefully into
my husband's head. He pulled her close to comfort her,
and I still did not get involved. This sort of
thing happened four more times, and she was always very
upset when she came to my house. I figured she

(01:28):
must still be suffering from the breakup, so I stayed
out of it. Then, earlier this year, my husband got
a letter from our local child support office and I
opened the letter and it said he is the father
of a baby girl, and it listed his brother's baby
mama as the mother.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
I started snooping.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah, I started snooping through his drawers and I found
DNA test results hitting in a cigar box in his
junk drawer. This woman mysteriously had a baby, and I
had no idea she was pregnant. I sent a picture
of the DNA results to my husband's brother and he
responded that he's known about them for three years because

(02:08):
he caught them in the act.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
I felt so lost and stupid.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Their daughter is two years old, and this woman wants
my kids to meet their sister, and she wants to
clear the air with me. Should I forgive her and
move on, or keep ignoring her forever, all right. Forgive them,
for sure, forgive her, not for them, not for her,
but because forgiveness is for you to be free to

(02:35):
move on with your life. But anything else, all bets
are off. Keep ignoring her forever, all right, And don't
you ever be that trusting to anyone again. You saw
what was going on, you didn't think for a second
that you know. I mean, I get that she was
distraught over her brother, but her pointing her finger at

(02:56):
its forehead and your husband pulling her close to him,
all that in your letter. I can't believe you didn't
suspect something was going on between them with all the
stuff they were doing. I mean, maybe because it was
done in your faith and not behind your back, you
didn't think that they would be doing what they were doing.
I just don't know too many women, including myself, who

(03:18):
would have allowed them to carry on like they were
carrying on in front of you.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
So I'm gonna need.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
You to get mad, you know, do something, not just
ask keep ignoring her forever. You know, it's okay to forgive,
but you shouldn't forget or clear the air with her
like she wants to do. If you choose not to, Okay,
do what's best for you and your children, your family.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Okay, keep her out of it.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
She's trash at this point, as far as I'm concerned,
what she did to you and her husband Steve.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
The most confusing damn letter of the year.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
I don't know. Surely, I can't make no sense of this.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
I've been trying to find the turning points, but the
whole letter is a turning point.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
The lady was married for eleven years with a husband.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
They got two daughters, but then the last three years
of the marriage, he messed with his brother's babies and
mama and she got pregnant.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
His brother has two sons.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
By this woman, and my husband is the godfather of
both of his brother's sons.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Wait a minute, Wait a minute.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
If this is your brother and he got two children,
what is you the godfather for you?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
The uncle?

Speaker 1 (04:48):
You?

Speaker 3 (04:49):
They uncle?

Speaker 4 (04:51):
See this family love given titles. Now his brother left her.
He left the baby mama after he caught her in
bed with another man at they house. Who is these
men that go over these other men's houses? Man, I
just don't understand that. I don't know why more of
these ain't winding up in depths. She started popping up

(05:14):
at our house to talk to my husband and I
always soon it was to talk about his brother dumping her.
But now let me say this though, Could it be
the way this letter's written when she said her brother
left her after he caught her in bed with another

(05:34):
man at they house.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Could the other man have been his brother?

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Well? No, I think that that was an additional man, Steve,
because lower in the letter he said he's known about her.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
Well, we'll find out. I invited over for Thanksgiving. It
she pulled my husband to decide to talk to him,
and I let him talk. She got upset and was crying,
and she got our rate and started pointing her finger
forcefully into my husband's head.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
You know how they be tapping on your head like
what you ain't nobody finna do that to me?

Speaker 1 (06:06):
No, you're not gonna in front of mine.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Okay, I don't know any woman alive, none.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Quarterly What is she tapping your way? So that's kind
of crazy. And I still didn't get involved. This sort
of thing happened fom mo times, and she was always
upset when she came to my house. I figured she
must still be suffering from the breakup, so I stayed
out of about How stupid are you?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Well, she said that she felt stupid.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
All right, we're talking about to come back.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
All right.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Part two of Steve's response coming up at twenty three
minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters, subject he and
his brother's baby Mama. We'll get back into it right
after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. This message
is brought to you by Pfizer. If you're fifty years older,
getting sick can keep you away from where you need

(07:00):
to be. You don't want surprises like new micacle pneumonia
or invasive new micaccle disease. You're six point four times
more likely to get new micacle pneumonia compared with adults
eighteen to forty nine. It's recommended that people fifty or
older get vaccinated. Being sick could get between you and
the people who rely on you. So schedule your shot

(07:21):
at vaxcist dot com. All right, come on, Steve, let's
recap today It's strawberry letter. The subject he and his
brother's baby mama.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
H This reggular hairs letter.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
So confused? Time not the letter he had hated.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
It's the letter Shirley's. We know these damn people mess
right here.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
This lady married to her husband, they got two kids,
and then uh late three years, the last three years
of the marriage, he messed with his brother's babies mama,
and she got pregnant. His brother got two sons by
this woman, and my husband is the godfather to both
his brother's son. You ain't hunh, You ain't damn uncle.

(08:02):
You legally everything. You ain't uncle. You don't need no
extra titles. His brother left her because he caught her
in bed with another man at their house, and then
she started popping up at our house to talk to
my husband. I always assumed it was to talk about
his brother dumping her. I'm telling you, Shirley, I think
that the man she he caught in bed with her

(08:25):
is his brother, because right after that she kept coming
to the house. Yeah, mad every time she come to
the house. Right after that, then they say I invited
over the Thanksgiving twenty twenty, she pulled my husband aside
to talk to him. I let him talk. She got
upset and was crying. Then she got out right and
she started pointing her finger forcefully in my husband's head. Now,

(08:48):
damn because his brother found you in bed with another man,
or because he found you in bed and the.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Other man was his damn brother.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
And I got started up to start to put it
together for myself here. Now, surely I didn't get involved.
This sort of thing happened fourmo times, and she was
always upset when she came to the house. I figured
she must be still suffering from the breakup, so I
stayed out. And she was something from the breakup because
your husband was the cause of the breakup, because he
got caught in his brother's house in that bed. That's
what I believe this letter is really all about.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
Then, earlier this.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
Year, my husband got a letter from our local child
support office. I opened the letter and it said he
was the father of a baby girl and it was
listed his brother's babies.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
Mama as the mother.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
I started snooping through his draws and I found DNA
test result hiding in a cigar box. That's what really,
Why is she putting this in a cigar box? What
you put this in a cigar box? Tro see now
like me, you ass got tight, now, my ass tight
because it's in a cigar box. Immediately, I go to
myself and how many cigar boxes I got. I can't

(09:56):
think of what important. I haven't put it in the
damn cigar.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
Box about you?

Speaker 4 (10:01):
Anyway, this woman, misterly had a baby, and I had
no idea she was pregnant.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
I sent a picture of the DNA results to my
husband's brother and he responded that he's known about them
for three years.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Because he caught them in the act.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
It was his brother that he walked in and saw
in the bed with his woman three years ago.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
She stayed away and had.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
This baby, but every time she came over she was
mad at him.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
I felt so lost and stupid. They daughter two years old.

Speaker 4 (10:39):
This woman wants my kids to meet their sister, and
she wants to clear the ad with me. Should I
forgive her and move on and keep it knowing her forever? Well,
you can and forgive her, but this is the most
confusing mess. I really ain't got nothing for her, no
more helpel And my biggest thing, like he is, I
don't know what is we finish? Call these kids because

(11:00):
see now, even if they meet, what is we Finnah?
Call these kids right here?

Speaker 3 (11:06):
Mama?

Speaker 4 (11:06):
Is these our cousins, Mama, is these our brothers and sisters?

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Know?

Speaker 3 (11:12):
They're not.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Us?

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Is they our aunts? No?

Speaker 4 (11:17):
No, baby, they're not your aunts. It's these our cousins
in laws?

Speaker 3 (11:22):
No, they not? What is they? Mama? Is these are nothing? Loss?
This this is our nothing lows? Mama? What is we
gonna call these damn kids?

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Your husband slept with his brothers, baby, Mama, the brother
caught them. You found the DNA report, sent it to
his brother to say, hey, on this DNA report, this
listing my husband, who is your brother as the daddy

(11:52):
of your baby, mama's baby. He can't surprise because he
know albout it.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
So what kind of help?

Speaker 2 (12:01):
She she? I really thought it was two different men.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
But she says she felt so lost and stupid that yeah,
she should feel that way.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
I think it's.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Ignoring what's going on in front of her eyes.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
Why are we here? Who do you trust in this story?

Speaker 2 (12:18):
You can't trust in law.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Yeah, he held to the cold with his brother, and
she's nobody told you nothing right?

Speaker 1 (12:28):
And then she's she's considering forgiving this woman and moving
and moving on, or to keep ignoring her forever. That's
her issue.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
None of this so.

Speaker 4 (12:39):
Sure what you said made since you could forgive acause
forgiveness is for you, not the other person.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
But to forgive don't mean to forget.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
Right, You don't have to set yourself back up in
the line of fire just because you forgave somebody.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Yes, Tommy, I see you. Can't you forgive as you
walking out today with all your stuff? Can't you forgive it?

Speaker 4 (13:02):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (13:05):
She can keep ignoring her forever.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
What I'm not finna do is sit here and deal
with this mess.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
Now. The kids are gonna have to know each other eventually,
because that's the baby.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
All Right, we gotta go, please.
