It's like we're going to read this one right here,
right now, and you never know. It could be yours.
(00:23):
It could be buckle love and hold on tight. We
got it for you here it is draw part left.
Thank you, nephew. Subject I can see and I can hear. Okay,
Dear Stephen Shirley, my husband and I are headed towards
divorce if he doesn't stop lying to me and playing
me for a fool. I worked the third shift as
a dispatcher, but I make sure our children are ready
(00:44):
for bed before I leave. I think I'm a great
mom and even better wife, so I get offended when
my husband acts like I'm falling short on my wifely duties.
The past two weeks, he has been making little comments
about sleeping alone every night. And I have been the
breadwinner since we got married thirteen years ago and moved
(01:05):
to the third shift for a promotion and more money.
I did not expect him to complain so much about
me being gone at night, especially because we do have
sex before I go to work and after I come
home from work. He's never been denied sex, not one
time in thirteen years, so when I heard him on
the phone with a female, I was shocked. My days
(01:28):
off are Sunday and Monday, and he expects me to
sleep late. I got up early Sunday to make a
big breakfast for my children and my husband wasn't in bed.
I heard him in the kitchen, so I tiptoe to
see if he was sneaking a piece of pound cake
I had made. He was standing by the pound cake,
but he was on the phone and rubbing himself. I
(01:50):
stood there for a good while and listened to him whispering,
but I could not make out what he was saying.
He was aroused, so I knew it was not a
man on the phone with him. I went back to
bed and texted him to see where he was. He
came into the bedroom looking foolish and out of breath.
He said he was thirsty and went to get water.
(02:10):
I told him he was very thirsty, and it's going
to cost him his marriage? How can he cheat when
the sex has never been an issue? Here? Um, you
know what what is that supposed to me? I just say,
I can't wait to hear what you uh huh, and
I can't wait to hear what yourance it's gonna be, sir?
(02:34):
What is that supposed to mean? Though? Okay, don't get
don't throw stuff out there. All right, here we go.
I knew that was coming, all right. Listen, you want
a reason why he's doing what he's doing. Sometimes you
(02:56):
don't need a reason. You know he's just doing it.
In your husband's case, he has time to do stuff
like this. I am curious though, because you said you
are the breadwinner in the family. Now does that mean
you make more money than him? Or do you make
all the money? Because if you're the sole moneymaker, what
is he doing? And I think you're right. You sound
(03:17):
like a great mom and an awesome wife. Men always
want more sex and he gets that every day before
and after you go to work, so he has nothing
to complain about. There to come on twice a day
after twenty three years of marriage, that's a whole lot.
People don't usually do that after twenty three years of marriage.
(03:39):
Excuse me, that's one of the worst things he can
do is cheat on you. After you make the money,
do the wifely duties, take care of the kids while
he sits at home. You didn't say he went to
work while he sits at home and does nothing but complain.
You should be the one getting on him about not
working and living off I said twenty three years of marriage.
Thirteen years is a marriage living off just your salary
(04:02):
for the last thirteen years. I think he's trifling, and
I think you're right. You guys could be heading for
divorce if he doesn't stop. I mean, he wants to
work all day, take care of this lazy man, and
then he's starting to cheat. No, ma'am, you have every
right to feel the way you feel. Steve, very good answer,
my answer, Very good answer, as I knew it would
(04:25):
be right. Thank you. I really don't have a solution
for this right here, because it seems rather obvious. But
let me point out a couple of things in this
letter that I found interesting. I can see and I
can hear sect she thinks that her and her husband
(04:48):
is heading for divorce if he don't stop lying and
playing me for a food so now I don't understand
that statement. If you're not going to address the issue.
You want him to stop lying and playing you for food.
So let's find out you're working the third ship. You
(05:10):
want him to you know, as a dispatcher, but you
make sure the kids is ready forbid. Think you're a
great mom, and you think your better wife. So you
offended when your husband acts like you're falling short on
your wifely duties. And the past two weeks he's been
(05:30):
making little comments about sleeping alone every night. I've been
the breadwinner since we got married thirteen years ago and
moved to the third shif promotion and more money, and
I expect him to complain so much about me being
gone that night, especially because we do have sex before
(05:51):
I go to work or after I come home from work.
He's never been denied sex, not one time in thirteen years. Man,
let's stops doing better than a lot of people upon
the boy boy. This line right here just jumps out
to page at me. Yes, he's never been denied six
(06:14):
not one time in thirteen years. I'm being done. What
why do I do that? I've been six thirteen times
in a year, thirteen times last week oh, hang on
(06:36):
six thirteen times in a month. Keep it right there.
All right, we'll have part two of Steve's response coming
up to the Strawberry letter. Today's subject is I can
see and I can hear. All right, we'll get back
into it right after this. You're listening to the Steve
Morning Show. All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
(06:58):
Strawberry Letters subject I can see and I can hear?
You know. In first, like I said, I don't have
an I don't really have an idea of what to tell.
It's wasn't about this letter. I just found some stuff
in the letter interested. She's been married for thirteen years
to a man. She's the primary breadwinner in the house.
She works the third shift, which is midnight and or
(07:21):
levin to make sure the kids is in bed before
I leave. She thinks she's a great mom and probably
even better wife. I don't disagree with her in anything
I saw on that let him. And then she's offended
because her husband act like she's falling short in her
wifely duties because for the past a couple of weeks
he'd been making comments about having to sleep alone at night. Now,
she says she's been the primary breadwinner since they got
(07:44):
married thirteen years ago, and she went to the third
shift so she could get a promotion and more money
and then but she didn't expect him to complain so
much about her being gone at night. Especially now. Listen
to me now, because we do have sex before I
go to work, after I come home from work. He
has never been denied sex, not one time in thirteen years.
(08:14):
Just don't know where this line came from. Envy times,
So what never X in fifteen years? Man, I didn't
(08:34):
feel out time cards, out of put in verbal requests,
written requests. I bought houses for its women, pools called rings,
diamond jewelry dogs. I don't even like dogs dogs. And
(08:59):
he has never been denied sex nine one time. So
when I heard him on the phone with a female,
I was shocked. My day's off his Sunday and Monday,
and he expects me to sleep late. I got up
early Sunday morning to make a big breakfast. The pay attention.
When I'm reading now for my children and my husband
(09:19):
wasn't in bed. I heard him in the kitchen, so
I tippy told to see if he was in there
sneaking a piece of pound cake I had made. He
was standing over that pound in the cake, but he
was on the phone. Excuse me, that's not what they says.
I heard him in the kitchen up sneaking a piece
(09:45):
of pound cake I made, and he was standing over there.
And I accidentally said he was standing over that pound
in the cake. He was actually standing by the pound
cake that the church say. Man, yeah he over there,
Oh just yeah, I accidentally said pounding, but he was
(10:11):
over that time. She thought he was sneaking a piece
of pounds, right, but he was on the phone, rubbing himself. Old.
Then I was correct, See my bad. I take back
my apology. I was a sorry, sorry, Yeah, you see
what I'm saying. Yea. So now I stood there for
(10:35):
a good while and I listened to him whispering, but
I couldn't make out what he was saying. That that
right there, that is his ticket out of this whole thing.
She said. I stood there for a while listening to
him whisper, but I could not make out what he
was saying. Then she said he was aroused, so I
(11:00):
knew it was not a man on the phone with him.
I went back to bed and text him see where
it was. He came into the bedroom looking foolish and
out of breath. He said he was thirsty and went
to get water. I told him he is very thirsty
and it's gonna cost him his marriage. How can he
cheat when sex has never been an issue him? Wait
(11:21):
a minute later, if you don't address what you saw right,
the question is how can he cheat when sex has
never been an issue? Here, that's a stupid ass question. See,
you don't understand we're not allowed to cheat even if
sex is an issue, because you ain't denied him in
(11:45):
thirteen years. Yeah, I've already been denied thirteen times this year.
We know. Stop saying that, and I want all y'all
to realize how happen Tash has been denied. I can't
count the times this year I've been denied This year,
(12:07):
Junior been married two weeks, he's been denied a month,
thirty days, and he's been denied already. So I don't
really understand how your problem is. How can he cheat
when sex has never been an issue? We're not allowed
to cheat as sex is an issue. So that's the
(12:31):
problem you've had him. What should she do? She needs
to get down to the bottom of us. But the
only thing, like I say, the out he got is
she could not make out what he was saying. Now,
if I come back in there and it looks like
I'm slightly aroused, I'm just gonna tell you it happens
every morning to me. Oh that's gonna be the lie. Okay,
(12:51):
that happened right every morning to me, So that ain't
waking up all right. Please leave your comments on Today
