Speaker 2 (00:21):
It could be yours. Buck love and hold on time.
We got it for you. Here it is Strawberry Letter.
What are you singing? Steve Teams been through?

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Thank you, nephew. All right, let's get into the letter.
Thank you, nef subject. I was there the whole time.
Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been with the same man for
six years, and his two sisters love to hate on me,
and my boyfriend does not take up for me. He
had a cookout this past weekend and I was at
his house that morning to help him get his house

(00:54):
in order. I was vacuuming and I turned around too
quickly and pull something in my back. My boyfriend gave
me a mild muscle relaxer and I went to lie
down in his room. That was at ten in the morning.
I woke up groggy around two thirty and texted my
man to see how things were going. He never returned

(01:15):
the text. I went back to sleep and woke up
around five pm. Mind you, I'd been sleep all day
and hadn't eaten anything or had anything to drink. I
texted my boyfriend again to ask if he would bring
me something to drink. He ignored my text again, so
I went to the bathroom and got back in bed.
I had taken off my wig and makeup, so I

(01:36):
couldn't go up front. Around seven, I woke up and
put my wig on and stumbled into the kitchen because
I was hungry. As soon as I saw my boyfriend,
I cursed him out. His little sister said I was
disrespectful to come in there fussing like I did. I
told her I had been there the whole time, and

(01:58):
nobody cared. My boyfriend laughed and said he didn't tell
anyone that I was in the bed. He also lied
and said he didn't see my text messages, even though
he always has his phone in his hand. His older
sister said, I love to make a scene. My boyfriend
agreed with her. I can't win with this family. I'd

(02:18):
never treat my boyfriend like that? Why didn't he tell
his sisters that I was there? Is he the problem
or his hating sisters? Well, I got to tell you
in this situation, it sounds kind of like you're the problem.
I mean, you don't come out of the room all day,
and when you do, the first thing you do is
curse your man out, especially you know, with no makeup,

(02:39):
you're probably you're wig wasn't on rite or whatever. I mean,
it was disrespectful what you did, Like his sister said,
that's his house, not yours. And what did you think
his sisters would say when you come out looking and
acting like that? Yes, he was wrong for not checking
on you number one and for not answering his phone
number two. He should have texted you back. But stuff

(03:00):
like this has been going on for six years, right,
you said he doesn't take up for you when his
sisters talk about you and hate on you and stuff. Well,
as you can see, nothing has changed, and that doesn't
seem like it's going to change. I think you need
to change and you need to rethink this whole relationship
situation because he's not taking care of you, so you

(03:22):
need to take care of yourself. Steve.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Oh, these type letters I love right here. I just
want to shy. I know you do. I was there
the whole time.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Now, she says, I've been with the same man for
six years, and his two sisters loved to hate on
me and my boyfriend don't never defend me. He had
a cookout this past weekend. I was at his house
that morning to help him get his house in order.
I was vacuuming. I turned around too quick, and I

(03:55):
pulled something.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
In my back.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Now that means that we all have a little age
on us. These ain't twenty year old. Things that happened
twenty year olds. Vacuum turn around real quick and just
see what's back. Then, right, all the people turn around
real quick, and sugar honey, ice tea start happening.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
So now we know there's a little age on you.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
My boyfriend gave me a mild muscle relax, and I
went laid down in the room.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
So now let's keep track of it.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
We got a little age on us.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Two.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
We not in shape, okay, because if you turned around
while I use vacuuming too quick and pull something, you're
not in shape, and you got a little age on you.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
I'm just tallying that. What's wrong here? That was at
ten o'clock in the morning.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
I woke up groggy around two point thirty fall at
a half hours later. Okay, keeping track of this, text
my man to see how things was going. He never
returned to text. He's out there with his family having
a good time. I text my boyfriend again.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
To ask if he would bring me something to drink.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
He ignored my text again, so I went to the
bathroom and got back in bed.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Now let's stop right here.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
If he's hosting a cookout and he's the host and
people over at the house, do you really think he's
got his phone.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
In his hand.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
I think he's busy hosting, So I don't think he
ignored you. I just think he ain't looking at his phone. Hell,
you in the house, the woman he cared about is
in the house, and all his family friends is out there.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
So why you got to check his text? But you
asked to bring something to drink?

Speaker 3 (05:54):
He ignored my text, So I went to the bathroom
and got back in bed.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Now, listen to this.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
I had taken off my wig and make up, so
I couldn't go up front.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Now, when you took this wig and the make up.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
You're kind of focus on that.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Why can't you go back up front? Now, let's talk
about this for se How shocking is it once you
take off that wig and make up?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Hang on, Steve, you're not go up front cause you
ain't think the people is gonna know who you are.
Hang on, we'll have parts. I was gonna get back
on a little bit.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Oh yeah, of your response, Steve. Coming up at twenty
three minutes after the hour, Today's Strawberry Letters subject. I
was there the whole time. We'll get back into it
right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show podcast

Let's recap today's Strawberry Letter. The subject is I was
there the whole time.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Now, this is woman that's been with this man for
six years. His two sisters loved to hate on him,
and he don't defend him. He was throwing a barbecute house.
She went over there at ten o'clock in the morning.
She was vacuuming, and she turned around too quickly and
pulls something.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
So when that happens, we already know she not in her.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
Twentiesse people in their twenties can turn around quick and
just be around. When you got a little age on you,
you turn around too quick. Suk a hundred ice tea
starts happening, and thus it happened. So she's a little
up there. I don't know how old yet, can't figure
it out.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
I may learn it. And she out of shape.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
So your boyfriend gave your mild muscle relax and you
went to lay down.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
That was at ten in the morning.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
You woke up four and a half hours late at
two thirty text your man to see how it was going.
He didn't return to text, so you went back to
sleep and woke up around five. Now you've been down
seven hours right now, mind you, I'd been sleep all
day and hadn't eaten anything or had anything to drink.

(08:47):
That ain't nobody fault.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Nobody's fault.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
So I text my boyfriend again and asked he would
bring me something to drink. He ignored it, So I
went to the bathroom, got back in bed. I took off.
Now he would go. I'd been slepter all day, hadn't
eaten anything or had anything to drink. So then she
texted her boyfriend again to ask if he would bring
me something to dream. She said, he ignored my text again,
So I went to the bathroom and got back in bed.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
I'm not thinking he's ignoring the text. He's hosting.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
His girlfriend is in the house, all his loved ones
and friendz is in the backyard, and it's at his house.
He got to watch them ribs, he got flippedy burgers over,
he got a talk trash. They out there drinking. So
I went back to the bathroom and got back in bed.
I had taken off my wig and makeup, so I

(09:38):
couldn't go up front.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Now let's talk about this. When you take off your wig.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
And makeup, what exactly happens?

Speaker 2 (09:50):
How Seville is the change? How shocking is you without
the wig?

Speaker 3 (09:58):
And the makeup what we talk about to the point
where you have determined I cannot go up front. And
I'm thinking you can't go up front because of some
people up there. They ain't gonna know who you is?

Speaker 2 (10:11):
You are, who is she?

Speaker 3 (10:14):
And I'm saying they ain't gonna know who you is
for the man that wrote that letter in that day
to say I need to be a better example for
young people to how to talk.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Remember that guy. So I just wanted to say, ain't
nobody gonna know who you is? Who you are? This
is for him. That ain't my job to the letter.
See what is my job?

Speaker 3 (10:34):
It's to discuss what happens to this woman when these
wigs and makeup is around seven, I woke up and
put my wig on, just the wig. I stumbled into
the kitchen because I was hungry. Yeah it's seven, You've
been in bed nine hours and.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
You slept the night before.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
So I stumbled into the kitchen with just my wig
on because.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
I was hunger.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
As soon as I saw my boyfriend, I cursed him out.
His little sister said I was disrespectful to come in
there fussing like I did, which is a true statement.
Why you curse him out, and I told him I'd
been there the whole time and nobody cared.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
You were sleep.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
My boyfriend laughed and said he didn't tell anyone that
I was in the bed. He also lied and said
he didn't see my tents, even though he always has
his phone in his head.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
Now, how you gonna host the barbecue?

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Flip the burgers, watch the grill, watch pay attention to
them ribs. Put all that ice in that cooler. You
gotta do a lot of work. His older sister said,
I love to make a scene, and you did. My
boyfriend agreed with her, and you did. I can't win
with this family. You ain't in the family. Do you

(12:03):
understand what's happening here? You have been his girlfriend for
six years. He ain't ask you to marry him yet.
And you know why he ain't ask you to marry
yet because you're up there, you're out of shape.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
You turn to look.

Speaker 3 (12:16):
Around, see what was behind you when you take that
wig in that makeup ball. He don't know who you are.
He ain't signing up for this right here. Now, you
coming here cussing him out. That's why you steal the girlfriend.
That's exactly why and the little sisters hate on you
because they're watching how you do they brother ain't None

(12:38):
of them.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Have said you need to marry that girl. She's good
for you.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
And every time you come in there, the big sister said,
you love to make a scene, which is your mo o,
which is.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Why you ain't his home.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Why you ain't the way my boyfriend agreed with her.
I can't win with this family now cause you ain't
in the family. I never treat my boyfriend like that.
What you just went in there and custom out. You
just blamed him in front of all the people for
ignoring your text, and then you turn around and say
I never treat my boyfriend like that.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
You just did. Why didn't he tell his sisters that
I was there?

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Cause he ain't want you coming out doing what you did.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Let sleeping dogs lie.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Have you ever heard that saying, don't wake up trouble
when it's asleep. So he left you asleep. He's out
there having a great time without you. Is he the
problem on his hating sisters?

Speaker 2 (13:34):
It's You're the p You You're the problem. Mark, it's you, lady.
