It could be yours. Buckle up and hold on time
we guide it for you. Here it is Strawberry Letter.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Thank you nephew. Subject is it too risky to stay
with my husband? Dear Stephen Shirley, My husband has put
my life in danger for the last time. When we
started dating, he had a lot of loose ends to
tie up with women from his past. Even at our wedding,
an ex of his was in the parking lot crying
and one of his cousins had to get her under control.
(00:47):
We've been married for two years and we live in
his house. Things have been quiet lately, and even his
ex wife has settled down and stopped annoying me. He
mentioned to me how one of his exes lost her
dad and he was close to the guy. He said
his exit moved to London, and they lost touch. He
admitted that she used to live with him for a
short period of time, but they broke up and he
(01:09):
hadn't heard from her in over five years. The funeral
was last weekend, and the girl came to town. How do
I know, because she showed up in my kitchen Friday night.
I was lying on the sofa watching a movie and
my husband was in the back watching TV in our bedroom.
I heard the garage go up, so I sat up,
unable to move or scream because I thought we were
(01:31):
getting robbed. Then the back door opened and the woman
walked in and asked for my husband. I screamed and
ran to the back. My husband ran to the front
with a bat and the woman was sitting on the
edge of a chair. He chuckled and said she scared
the crap out of us. He yelled for me to
come to the front, but I was already peeking from
behind the door. He told her to give his garage remote,
(01:54):
give him his garage remote and key, and he told
her he was married. She said she had no eye
idea and wanted to surprise him. I was frazzled, but
I got myself together and I told her to stay
and I left. My husband said, it's all a misunderstanding.
Is this grounds for divorce or should I give him
one more chance?
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Listen, everyone has a pass and you said that with
your husband and his exes. But everything seemed to calm down.
But the past should stay in the past. Now, it
doesn't look like your husband did anything here except for
maybe not getting his remote back from this woman. And
that was five years ago. From five years ago, I
(02:38):
don't think you have to divorce him over this. But
he was I mean, because he was just as surprised
to see her as you were. But it certainly grounds
for him to do something. She's got to know that,
in no certain terms, she can't ever barge into your
house or anyone's house unannounced period. I mean, she took
a big risk to do that. She was too comfortable
(03:01):
doing that. She could have gotten shot or hit with
a bat or anything. So is your husband lying about
being in contact with her? My question is why would
you even leave out of your own house and leave
her in there with your husband? You should have, I
mean you should have. He should have told her right
(03:24):
then and there that she.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Was rude.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
She didn't even apologize to you. Or anything. She didn't
announce herself nothing. I mean, who does this? This woman
was a little touched for doing this after five years.
She needs to get on a plane head back to
London immediately. You need to reprogram your garage opener.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
All of that.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
This is craziness right here. This really is Tommy.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
You know what?
Speaker 2 (03:51):
You are the most unhospitable woman I have ever seen? You?
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Really are? You really are? Yeah? This is just this
this this? Where is the hospitality? What is this? Here?
Speaker 2 (04:03):
This woman and drove all the way from London to
see y'all, and flew all the way over here from
London see y'all.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
And it's how you act. Look at this?
Speaker 1 (04:10):
What are you?
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Why are you acting like this?
Speaker 1 (04:16):
This?
Speaker 2 (04:17):
She come all this far to see y'all? And this
is how you act. Now you up in here screaming
and holland and canon. What is all that about? What
is what is wrong with you? Know what the problem
with you? You don't like company, That's what's wrong with you.
People get themselves all dressed up, pack their bags, come
all the way across country, all the way from London
(04:38):
to the US to see y'all. And this is how
you act. Come on, Now, you can do better than that.
This woman come way too far and she coming here
to surprise y'all.
Speaker 3 (04:46):
And what we get from you?
Speaker 5 (04:48):
You?
Speaker 2 (04:48):
You you scream and holler and run out the house.
You're gonna lead a house?
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Then? What?
Speaker 3 (04:52):
What? What?
Speaker 1 (04:52):
What?
Speaker 3 (04:52):
What is that? Come on?
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Now?
Speaker 2 (04:54):
You could do better than that. Now you could, Y'all'm
sure we had some food and ice bo. We could
have asked that lady. She wants something to eat, She
want to old drink or something.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Anything.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
You ain't off of nothing, You ain't sit down. Let
me get you a play the summer? You who you
got to be tired, girl, You got to be tired.
You you didn't came this far. Let me get you something.
But no, no, you want to scream and run into
the back and peek behind whatever the peak behind the
door to see what's going on?
Speaker 3 (05:20):
You? You know what? You know what?
Speaker 2 (05:23):
You are the kind of person that don't nobody want
to come to your house and visit.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
That's the kind of person you are. And I see it,
I see it.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
I wouldn't want to come fool with you if that's
how you're gonna act.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
And I flew this.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Far some see company to come see my ex and
what happened when they X see it?
Speaker 3 (05:39):
He chuckles. Okay, we get a chuckle. He not scared?
Get you scared of?
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Girl?
Speaker 3 (05:45):
I ain't know that was you?
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Okay, Now now you can at least say, okay, baby,
who this woman? You know?
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (05:51):
For?
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Who this woman?
Speaker 2 (05:52):
You know? Who is this woman? And then finally we'll
get to the bottom of it. But now you're just
gonna pack up and lead. You don't now she packed
to come to y'all, You pack up and leave.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
I don't get it.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Everybody leave. Ain't nobody really making no conversation? Come on, now,
let's sit down and talk about this. See what's going on.
She didn't know y'all had gotten married. She didn't know
all that.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Okay it you know, show up some love.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
I mean, if you want to get the remote from
the garage, I got it. Okay, I get that part.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Oh, based on your response, I cannot wait to hear
juniors and to the house that's coming up in part
two of the Strawberry Letter for Today at twenty three
minutes after the hour today Strawberry letter subject is it
too risky to stay with my husband? Right after this,
you're listening morning show. All right, guys, let's recap today's
(06:55):
Strawberry letter. The subject isn't too risky to stay with
my husband? A woman wrote it, and she's married. She's
mad at her husband for putting her life in danger,
she says, and this is the last time he's going
to do it. They started dating. He had a lot
of loose ends to tie up, like you know, his
exes from the past women. Even at their wedding, she says,
(07:16):
there was an ex crying in the parking lot. They've
been married for just two short years. They live in
his house. Things have been quiet lately, no exes, nothing
like that, so you know, everything's you know, been pretty cool.
No one's been annoying the wife. But he mentioned to
the wife that one of his exes dad died recently
and he was really close to the guy. Well, the
(07:39):
ex moved to London and he hasn't seen her, talked
to her in five years. They've lost touch. The funeral
was last weekend, the woman. The daughter came to town
for her dad's funeral, and the wife knew that because
the woman came in their house. She saw her sitting
she was in her kitchen on this past Friday night. So,
(08:00):
needless to say, the wife was startled. The husband was startled.
He came from the back with the bat. What happened
was the ex that came from London that he hasn't
spoken to in five years, still had their garage openers.
So she opened up the garage and just came on
in the house.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
That's how you packed, That's how you packed, That's how
you packed and everything.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
So the woman wants to know after the husband came
out of the back with a bat, and the woman
wants to know she left by the way the wife
left and let the woman in the house with her husband. Uh,
So she wants to know should she divorce her husband
over this is his grounds for divorce? Or should she
give her husband one more chance? We've heard, you've heard
(08:44):
from me, you heard from Tommy. Now it's your turn, Junior,
What do you say to all of this?
Speaker 4 (08:50):
Get Out?
Speaker 1 (08:53):
It's a scary movie. Get Out?
Speaker 4 (08:55):

Speaker 6 (08:57):
First of all, how famous is this house because everybody
can find it.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
Everybody know where you live.
Speaker 3 (09:06):

Speaker 6 (09:07):
How many loose ends is it?
Speaker 1 (09:09):
How many you?
Speaker 6 (09:12):
First of all, who made the garage door opener? Because
it's still working after two years? You mean to tell
me is this a genie?
Speaker 3 (09:21):
Who who made garage?
Speaker 4 (09:22):
Is this a genie?
Speaker 1 (09:24):
I mean, wouldn't.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
She's been gone? She in London. She comes back and
clicked the button like she just come off vacation. Just
come on in.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
She got some new battery.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
She just came on in. And who is you letting
the woman just come in your house? And you did
beat her down?
Speaker 6 (09:46):
I swear to God, if somebody walk in collar house
right there, come on, I don't care who it is,
just another woman your ass. When he hid behind the door,
that's what he come out with. How many people know
where this house is? So we offer Martin Luther King

(10:09):
Martin Luther King were off Martin.
Speaker 4 (10:11):

everybody know where you live. This don't make no sense. Yes,
it's risky, cause it's.
Speaker 3 (10:23):

Speaker 4 (10:25):
I just checked my key ring. I gotta key I
got a key in the house. Hell, I didn't even
ain't been over there yet, I got one. I gotta
walk in. Everybody know where y'all at? Yess risky, it's
very risky.

It's no reason for you to set up here and
stay married to this man because you don't know who
else for to.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
Come there for X from the fifth grade, for the
walk in X from the ninth.
Speaker 6 (10:50):
So yeah, it's risky. You sit up there in your
house on your couch and another woman walk here and said,
and this is how do I know? I found her
in my kitchen?
Speaker 4 (10:59):
What you know? I mean place you had to pass
to get to the kitchen.
Speaker 6 (11:01):
You had to leave the foyer, you had the pants
and died in room, you had went to the family room.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
Now you're behind. I found the kitchen.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
And she has the nerve to ask her for her husband?

the garage door opening dive just walking his house. She's lucky,
she's lucky that she was not physically.
