Speaker 2 (00:21):
It could be yours.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Buckle up and hold on type beguide it for you
here it is Strawberry letter.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
All right, nephew, thank you.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
My husband and my sister are getting too close, Dear
Stephen Shirley. I think my husband is trying to be
with my sister. They're the same age and they were
in school together. My husband told me that he and
my sister didn't get along in school, and she agreed
with him. Her side of the story was a bit
different because she said my husband didn't like her because

(00:48):
she would not sleep with him. I never considered it funny,
and I told my sister years ago that she needs
to stop saying that. Recently, we all had a staycation
and we rented cabins by the lake. Four couples went,
including my husband and I. I invited my sister and her boyfriend,
and two single women came. My sister and her boyfriend

(01:08):
got into a big argument on the first day and
he left. The next morning, my husband went to my
sister's cabin to talk to her, and I felt like
it was my place to comfort my sister, but he
insisted that he handle it. He came back with smudges
of eye make up on the shoulder of his shirt
and he had been drinking. It was eleven am, so

(01:29):
I had questions. I believed him when he said that
he got my sister's mascara on his shirt when he
hugged her. She had been crying, so he comforted her
and they had a couple of shots to ease her pain.
I let it go, and by the end of the
day her boyfriend came back. My husband was very upset
with my sister's boyfriend and he told him to do better.

(01:51):
I'm sitting there watching the show because he's never shown
an interest in my sister.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Liked that.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Since we got back home last week, he's asked me
several times if I've talked to my sister. He said
he is worried about her. I think he's more worried
about her? Telling me what's up with them? Why is
he so concerned about her? Okay, No, nothing about this
letter is right, and your husband is dead wrong. That's

(02:18):
your sister. He's acting like she's his blood or his
woman or something. Nope, he should not have gone to
console her. I can't even believe you're standing by and
let all of this go down. You're not trying to
stop him. This is crazy and very sussed the two
of them, because what's he so worried about her for?

(02:39):
Isn't he concerned about your feelings at all? You feel
about this? How the fact that he's going over there
checking on your sister and not you, how that looks
you know, that's her man's job. I got to say.
And she does have a man. What's he doing? I say,
trust your instincts about something going on between them. They

(02:59):
are too close and not to mention just so disrespectful
of you. You could your husband be more obvious with
what he's doing right now? I mean could he He's
giving himself away okay about how he feels about your sister,
and he doesn't even seem to care that you know it.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
You gotta do something now, Tommy, Babe, you.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Talked to Rabel.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
That's the husband.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
How Rabah doing, baby? I just don't like how Kennedy
been treating Rabel. I don't like that. I don't like
how that went down. Baby. Have you has Rabel called?
He happened? We probably need to get on the phone
and see how rabelh doing. Baby. You want me to
go by rabel house and check on him? No, you

(03:48):
say Rabel, I just feel like I need to go
by there and see how Rabah doing. I just don't
like Rabel going through this kind of stuff. That's all
I'm asking. What is Rapel's address at the job and
let me go out there and check on her. Concerned,
very concerned, way too concerned, And.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
I think you need to be kind of you.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
You know, you might want to start checking and see
if if he had some mass scar of somewhere else,
because he was a masscarer it was. I'm just trying to
say nothing. It's easy to look for that masscare of
the rub out. So was that massca of other than
just that shirt? It could have been somewhere else. You
need to get to checking. I'm just saying because your husband,
your husband is in love or very infatuated with your sister. Okay,

(04:36):
he likes so and and there's an listen, listen, I
hate to say this.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
To you, say it.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
They gonna do it? What they're gonna do it. It didn't
happen all through high school and she already know it
ain't happening. They're gonna do it. What did she say?
Because I wasn't because he didn't. What did he say?

Speaker 4 (04:59):
What he said them?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yes, because because she never agreed to sleep with him. Yeah,
she would not sleep with him. That's what she said.
That's why they didn't get together back in high school
when they were being.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Wont be wanting Rabel all these years rast sister. Yes,
he Marri's sister to get closer to Ray but.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Yes, wow, and now it's time.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Now it's time for ravel and guess what is going down.
It's gonna happen and uh horrible, but I mean it's
you know, it's not the end of the world.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Okay, No, I mean no, they're not gonna die. But still,
somebody bill a little be.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
A little open man to go. It's gonna happen, and
we're gonna get past. We're gonna stay together. And what
y'all ain't never wanted somebody brother or something.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Y'all ain't no wanting. It is one thing. Acting on
it is something entirely different. Tommy, and you know this.
But you're saying they're going to act on it. That's
what you're saying. They're gonna go do it.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Yes, they're gonna do it. The objective is to do it.
Everybody wants to do it. It's gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
I think who should do more? She's too laid back.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
All right, we're gonna have part two of our response
to the Strawberry letter at twenty three minutes after the hour.
The subject today is my husband and my sister are
getting way too close.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
We've heard is that right at the front door?

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Literally, baby, are getting too close? My husband and my
sister are getting too close. We'll get back into it
and hear from Junior right after this. You're listening Steve
Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (06:59):

so expensive. But have you heard about what Sam's Club

Speaker 1 (07:31):
All right, guys, it's time to recap today's strawberry letter.
The subject is my husband and my sister are getting
too close. This was written by a woman who thinks
her husband is trying to be with her sister.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
They're the same age. They were in school together.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Her husband told her that he and his sister did
not get along, and the sister agreed with him. But
the sister said they didn't get along because she would
not sleep with him. That's why they didn't get along.
The wife says she never considered it funny. She told
her sister years to go to stop telling that story,
stop saying that and okay. Moved to the present and

(08:06):
they recently had a staycation and they rented cabins by
the lake. She invited her sister and her sister now
has a man. She invited them to the lake, to
the cabins with them. Her sister and her man got
into a big argument. Her man left, and so her
husband went over to console his sister in law, and

(08:27):
then he came back about eleven kind of you know,
she could tell he was tipsy because they'd been drinking
and he had this mascara all over his shirt. He
explained the mascara way by saying his sister needed consoling
and comforting because she was crying. She was upset that
her man left. She the wife just let that go.
She didn't do anything about that. The boyfriend came back later.

(08:50):
So she's sitting here watching the show. This is what
the wife said. Why are you just watching the show
and not participating in this show anyway? Since they got
back the staycation, the husband has been asking her constantly
about how the sister in law is doing and all
of this. So she's asking the wife is why is

(09:10):
he so concerned about her sister junior? What do you
have to say about it?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
As let's just go ahead and put this out here
in the beginning, her sister fine, and when five women cry,
it has to be immediate comfort. You have to go
see about this situation. Sister is so fine. I'll tell
you what it is though. Just think about it like
this though, ma'am. So you have to worry. Okay, you're
gonna lose a husband, but you're about to gain a

(09:34):
brother in law. Oh, you're gonna lose a husband, but
you're about to gain a brother in law because he is.
He don't even care about what you need. He was
over there at eleven am, hugging with mass Carroll on
his shirt, walk right, passion, even ask you wanted a
couple of coffee.

Speaker 4 (09:49):
He hadn't gone because she's fine.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
He has to go comfort her. Right now. You might
get used to saying bron law, bron law, because that's
no longer your husband. On the way back if he
tell you to get the back seat, come on up here, Connie,
come on get up here. Gas and everything you was
out the picture. This is the new wife. He's showing you.
You didn't even care.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Yeah, he didn't care.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Every day as hey, you talked to have you talk?
Makes sure Connie all right? He's not even concerned by Jim.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
You heard from Connie.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Future mean, they're too close. They already close. Yeah this
is and already he getting make up on his shirt.
You know most men, when you get made on the shirt,
they at least trying to hide the make up your
past you with Messkre was just flowing on his shirt.
Didn't care, nig eye line basse, he got everything.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
But why is the wife writing us and not handling
her situation at home?

Speaker 3 (10:43):
Here?

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Is she about to be the sister in law? That's it?
I don't know why he wrote us. I could see
this couple a mile away.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
Yeah, we all see it.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
And guess what, sure, no need even worry. Everybody already
know everybody y'all wanted to gotta change. Everybody is still
gonna be the cousin of law. Everybody. Everybody's still gonna
be had the same position. Because he is concerned. He
is way too concerned.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
So he's going from what is he going from husband
to brother in law?

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Oh yeah, she's going from wife to his sister in law.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
Yeah wow, wow.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
What he said he told herm getting back to He says,
getting back henna henny, because that is it. She is right.
When they stopped the gas, uh sis, go ahead, pop
that gas. I gotta I gotta consul. She hurt. You're
better be working for them.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
So so he's just gonna act like he was never
married to the.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Woman, because she's fine. You forget you fore you forget
you was married her. She's so fine you're concerned. That's
her name right there, Shirley Cross. The name baby girl,
baby girl.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Look alike. Yeah, yeah, that has to look alike, don't
you think their sister?

Speaker 2 (11:56):
No, no, no, because the sister find you not as
fine as his sister, because he is concerned. He not
even asking you what you ain't nothing. Matter of fact,
when you see all your stuff in the guest room,
that it is over. You have they moved, they move,
move all her stuff to the guest room. She is out,
but she's still in the same house with them, sister

(12:17):
lock of state, sister locka state, worrying about like family. Guy,
baby girl, baby girl, go ahead and get cand of
your plate. You ain't got the just got you finally
be cooking, she hurt, should find to be cooking, she hurts.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
So so he finally got what he wanted all these years.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
He really wants the sister. Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Their cooking? They taking shots that's all they do. Girl
girl finished them greens. But having that cosa mea give
me that right there? They take they over there, they
in love. They hurt. He got to sew her. Yeah,
they lime lime sow and throw it back.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
They are.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
It's okay, Yes, you concern. I don't even know how
you have time to write us. I don't even know
how you say it's too Wait day, do I get
the amrath lies right there?

Speaker 4 (13:09):
Guys?

Speaker 1 (13:10):
All right, that's I think that's the first time we've
all agreed on a letter.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
I think it is the first time.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
All right.
