Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, it's the time. Let's buggle up. Hold on tight,
you won't it? We got it? Draw every letter subjects
she cheated, but I'm the problem. Just Steven Shirley, Come on,
just Steven Shirley. I was with my girlfriend for twelve years,
and we never got married because of her constant cheating.
(00:21):
I tried to break up with her back in two
thousand and fifteen, but we got back together because her
car and her house are in my name. After we
got back together, I caught her cheating seven times, but
I'm sure there were times that I don't know about.
The first time I found out, I put a voice
I put voice recorders in our bedroom and in her car,
(00:42):
just to make sure I wasn't crazy. I heard her
phone conversations about planning to have sex soon with a
guy that was being released from prison, and I also
found out that she went out of town to meet
some guy. Three weeks after that, I found out there
was another guy she was messing with. When I come
front of her and let her hear the proof, she
begged for forgiveness. Like a fool, I forgave her. What
(01:07):
made it so hurtful was that she told these guys
very nasty things about me, like I'm not a real
man and I'm weak. The final straw was when I
overheard her tell her girlfriend that I was too possessive
and she is annoyed to come home to me. I
kicked her out for good. Now my confidence with women
(01:27):
is shot, and I feel like I must be extremely
unattractive for a woman to cheat on me so many times.
Maybe I am weak. How do I get more respect
in my next relationship? Please give me some advice. Okay, um,
here's some good news, and try to look at the
good in this letter. At least you haven't given up
(01:48):
hope on all relationships. Okay, you're already looking forward to
your next relationship, So that's a good thing. But you
gotta make sure you learn the lessons from this current
relationship or the relationship you were just in. There are
a lot of lessons there. Your self confidence has shut,
your your self esteem is gone. And you know what,
the fact that you kept taking her back there was
(02:11):
no incentive to make her stop cheating or to do
right there. There was just no incentive. You allowed her
to walk all over you, to disrespect you. This woman
rotten to the core. She is just rotten to the
core and you need it to move on. I'm glad
you kicked her out. I really am. And the good
part about it is, okay, you forgave her. That was
(02:31):
a good thing. But you gotta learn from from from
these terrible mistakes. I mean, really, come on, the she
cheated on you seven times? What happened to the first
you know, the first time, the second time? Usually men
don't take women back. Uh, there's such a double standard
that when women cheat, men don't take Yeah, they don't
take a one. Why were you taking her back so much?
(02:53):
I mean, you this one on for twelve years. I'm
glad you finally woke up and came out of the
fog to get pul too or women in particular in
your next relationship, to respect you and to not be weak.
You got to respect yourself. You can't allow people just to,
you know, treat you any old kind of way. If
you don't love yourself, If you don't respect yourself, how
do you think someone else is going to so so? So,
(03:16):
that's the best advice I can give you. Wait before
you get into another relationship. I know they say the
best way to get over a relationship, which again, or
to get under someone else. But you, my friends need
to chill and and uh, you know, get yourself confidence
in your self esteem back. I mean, really, that's all
I have. That's it. Well, come on, here's the thing
(03:40):
about this girl. I've never met this lady. I don't
know what she looks like. I don't know how old
she is, what size, what grace, what religion. But what
I do know about this girl just from me anlyta
what she does. When she does it. It is so
good that there's eight men out there that won't it
(04:03):
And just dude right here, just do right here, right here.
He can't let it go because it's that good. Eight
times he keeps taking it back, but that means it
is so good he don't mind sharing it. If he minds,
he wouldn't take it back. He don't mind sharing it,
(04:24):
and he wants to get it back as close to
him as he. She is good at what she does.
Her big goods. I wasn't gonna say that because we
have children listening. Her big goods are through the room.
And this guy right here, this guy right here, right here,
(04:46):
he can't let it go. He got to have it.
Trust me, there will be a night time, there will
be a tenth time, there will be a fifty fifth time. Okay,
just her back good, alright, I didn't say it, alright, alright, alright,
(05:10):
come on, nephew, what you got. I think y'all missing
the biggest thing that's happened. So I want to say
this very nicely to the man that wrote the letter,
and I mean it's from the bottom of my heart.
Your ass is ugly. You are extremely ugly, and somebody
(05:35):
got to say it to you. You. I mean ugly
as all get out, and I hate to use the
word ugly as an ugly word. It really is. But
but somebody has to be ugly, and it happens to
be him. You ugly. Extremely, extremely unattractive is how he.
But you can say extremely attack ugly is what makes
(05:56):
more sense. You. You'll need it to be direct because
you need to take this as hard as I'm gonna
give it to you. You really are ugly. You so ugly.
Your mama got drunk to breastfeed you back. You ugly.
You know what I'm saying. You're so ugly to see us,
(06:17):
I can't solve the mystery. It's you. You, You're ugly dog.
You're ugly for real? You you you you make onions cry.
You understand I'm saying you're so ugly. Bullets refused to
kill you. You you, I'm just you you ugly. I'm
just trying to take you ugly. You're so ugly. You
(06:37):
got the tricker treat over the telephone. You see what
I'm saying, Yes, yes, you ugly when when you go
outside you could possibly get arrested, You ugly dog. And
you've got to understand this. I'm just saying, you can
turn Meduca into stone. You see what I'm saying. I'm
just saying you you ugly. I just got to go
on and take you that. It's just it's just it's
(06:59):
this fact. Yo yo yo yo. Mirrors prescribe. You know
what I'm saying. You just talk ain't it ain't no way,
ain't no way of doing it. I just got to
tell you just so that makes her cheat because he's
so ugly, justifies it. He got good credit. But he huggly,
(07:20):
very ugly. You see what I'm saying, Ugly people, and
I understand it. But he didn't say he was ugly.
He said he must be extremely ugly. I think he's more,
more stupid, more weak in all of that tend to add. Okay,
(07:46):
we'll be back with part two of the Strawberry letter,
she cheated, but I'm the problem right after this. You're
listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right now. It's part
two of your response to today's strawberry letter. Let me recap.
The subject is, she cheated, but I'm the problem. She cheated,
(08:06):
but I'm the problem. Okay, this letter was written by
a man. That's unusual. A lot of men usually don't
write letters like this. Yeah. Yeah, This one has been
in a relationship with his girlfriend for twelve years, and
he says they never got married because of her constant cheating.
He tried to break up with her back in two
thousand and fifteen, but they got back together because her
(08:29):
car in her house are in his name. After they
got back together, he caught her cheating. Not once, not twice,
not three times, not four times, not even five times,
not even six times. Seven times. He caught this woman cheating,
he says, like a fool. His words, he seven is
a lucky number. Like a fool. He says, he took
her back and forgave her I mean he says, it's
(08:52):
just hurtful. She's on the phone talking to her girlfriend
about him and how she hates how she was telling
her girlfriend how he she hates to come home to him. Uh, finally,
finally he kicked her out for good. Finally, But you
know what comes with that? His confidence is shot right now? Yeah,
he wants to know. Yeah, he wants to know. Oh yeah,
(09:15):
he said. He says that he must be extremely unattractive
because his woman cheats on him all the time. And uh,
maybe maybe your mama ain't got no alibi. You ugly
you have to do it, say you g l y,
your mama ain't got no alibi, you ugly, you ugly
(09:37):
get that. You had to get it. It was on
your heart, It was so what he wants to know
is how does he get more respect in his next relationship?
And he says, maybe he is week or maybe he's
just extremely unattractive. Yeah, we haven't heard from that from
the young one among us. Come on, junior, what you got?
(10:00):
I hope you're listening because I want to really help him.
I hope he is listening, And I have some really
strong advice for you. Please get your ugly self together.
That's all I do. Now, you gotta do. You gotta
stop feeling sorry for yourself. My my uncle, man, my ain't.
He's been ugly for a long time. It's possible for you.
Go in your closet, put your best suit on with
(10:22):
your ugly self. Then go down to the barbershop, get
you a hat cut with your ugly self. Keep your
chick stuffs in your pocket. Okay. Then go down to
the club that night and stay in as much low
light as possible, but you go look kind of cute
for one a stroke like slash. When the stroke like
(10:45):
pass you good. Just stay out of the light. That's
all you got to do, and you should. And then
go home and watch Muty and the Beasts ten times.
The beast got somebody. If the beasts can get somebody,
you can get some And but you love now is
all right? That's rights in your pocket? Well said okay,
(11:10):
Well said, okay. We hope you take our advice, sir.
Moving on. We're done with the ugly guy. Okay, I'm
moving on. We gotta get back to these b ET Awards.
They were hot, hot, hot last night. It was so
good last night. Yeah, alright, new edition show that they
can still play the hits. They were so good, Yeah,
(11:30):
without losing a step. I mean, I love how they
honored um. You know, they paid homage to the movie
and then the the young actors that played them in
the movies. Yeah, so they brought them out. It was
so good, the young ones, the older ones. It was great.
They paid, They played Medley's of New Edition songs. They
were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and they all
(11:52):
took the mic. We were a bit nervous when Bobby
Brown stepped up, but he was cold, take a us
and he was good. This is crazy. I mean, back
in back in the days when we first began, I
used to tell the guys we were going to be successful.
(12:15):
I mean I promised him that we were going to
be successful. I just didn't know how successful. I didn't
know how much our fans was gonna stick with us
the way y'all have stuck with us. I mean for
for thirty five years, y'all have been our backbone. Y'all
have been there for us to thick and thin. And
(12:37):
I know I've been through something so because yeah, he did,
but I mean we were just so proud of him,
so just you know when when he stepped up to
the micro, crowd went wild. They did at Temptations. It
is about Cody had Let me tell you what, He's
(13:01):
always the different one. I know what you're gonna say.
I was that little first. Yeah, okay, Johnny was getting
man and all of them, all of them were just great.
All of them were fantastic. But when you when they did,
(13:22):

Then they brought the young guys in that played them
in the movie. Then they brought the guys that the
other guys, the older guys played in the movie. Ye
think it was so good. Oh my god, it was.
