Speaker 5 (01:06):
You gotta turn, got to turn the mouth turn you
(01:43):

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Come come on, you'll think, ah, I sure will coome mining.
Speaker 6 (02:04):
Everybody y'all listening to the voice, come on, dig me
nowt one.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
It only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man. Oh man,
ain't god good? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (02:14):
Yes, hey, you know I want to remind everybody today
that you got to keep pressing forward.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Man.
Speaker 6 (02:21):
I know it gets difficult out there sometimes, but you
got to keep pressing forward.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
There's nothing else for you to do.
Speaker 6 (02:27):
The option of quitting, turning back, giving up it cannot
be there. The thoughts can pop into your head, but
when they do, you got to pray about it. But
you got to keep pressing forward. You got to keep
it moving, man. I don't care how dark and dirty
you get. For you, you got to somehow summon it
up within you to keep it moving, to keep pressing forward,
(02:50):
because the only way you're gonna get it is. You
got to stay in the race. You know, you've heard
it said a thousand times. The race isn't given to
the swift, but to him that endure it to the end,
to stay with it, whatever it is. I don't know
what it is for you, but whatever it is, you
got to stay with it, because Quentin, don't let you
see the end result, give it up. Don't let you
see the end results turning back, don't let you.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
See the end. The only way to see the end.
Speaker 6 (03:14):
Results is you got to finish the race, because the
victory may be nearer than it seems. There's a poem
I learned in college under some stressful situations. I've just
said like that. There is a stanza in this poem
called don't Quit that says, often the goal is nearer
than it seems to a faint and a faltering man,
(03:36):
And often the struggler has given up when he might
have captured the victor's cup, and he learns too late,
when the night came down, how close he was to
the golden crown. Now that's just a stanza in it.
The poem is much longer than that. I know the
whole thing because I learned it. But I've always remembered
(03:59):
that that the goal is often nearer than it seems
to a faint and a faltery man. And oftentimes the
struggler has given up when he might have captured the
victor's cup. But then he learns too late, when the
night came down, how close he was to the golden crown.
(04:21):
And there's the last stands of the poem says, it
may be near when it seems afar, so stick to
the fight when your heart is tited. It's when things
seem worse that you mustn't quit. That that poem is
really it's an unknown author to the poem, so if
you want to look it up, it's called don't Quit.
(04:42):
The author is unknown. But you know I'm talking to
you today from the standpoint of encouragement. I want to
I want to show you an analogy that I've tripped
on this morning when I was thinking about something I
wanted and I was thinking, you know, okay, if you
have a job, the way you have have to do
your job, your job forces you to do this, so
(05:02):
you can't just randomly do this on your job.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
A job forces you to plan ahead a little bit.
Speaker 6 (05:08):
A job requires that you go through the procedures in
order for something to happen that you want to happen. Example,
you want a vacation, you have to put in for
that vacation, and that's what it's called on your job,
just put in. You may dress it up some other way,
but the common sense you have to put in. You
got to do that because the job requires it. You
(05:29):
got to put in for your vacation. If you want
a promotion and you see it post it somewhere that
we are now have a position opening, you got to
put in for that.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
You just can't sit back and hope they pick you.
Speaker 6 (05:43):
Because they're probably going to pick the person who wants it,
who shows the initiative to go get it. So you
have to put in for a promotion on a lot
of jobs. If you want some days off, a couple
of days here, a couple days there, you got to
put in for that.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
But all of these are things that you want.
Speaker 6 (06:02):
You want vacations, you want a day off here, and
now you want some promotions. If you want a raise,
you have to go in and request a raise. It
requires an action on your part on your job. And
guess what we've all accepted this as this is the
way it's done. You want to raise, you have to
put in for a raise. You want to raise, you
(06:23):
got to go in and have a meeting and take
a request so you can show your value to get
to raise. You want a vacation time, you got to
put in for that, and then they got to they
can tell you, yeah, your name, You want a promotion,
same thing, you want some days off, same thing. Okay,
that's the deal with your job. Well, that's the deal
with your life too. That exact picture that I painted
for you that you're all so very much aware of
(06:44):
that you're very crystal clear on the rules and regulations
that you have no problem following him the same rules
for your life. What you mean by that, Steve, You
got to put in with God. You got to put
in for what you want with God. And it's as
simple as that you put in. See you want some
more of this, some more that you got to put
(07:05):
in with God.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
You put in with your job.
Speaker 6 (07:08):
You go down there and ask that man what you want,
and you ain't got no problem following the rules. Well,
put in with God what you want? What your list?
What's your request? What do you really want? How much
money you really trying to make, where you really trying
to live? What kind of career and job would you
really like to have? What kind of person would you
really like to be? What type of family are you
(07:30):
hoping and wishing for? Who is the person you want
in your life? What type of person do you what's
the relationship you're looking for? What you want? You got
to put in for that. You got to put in.
You got to go to God and put in for that. See,
we'll follow the rules set to us up, set us
up and set up by us in a system. But
we simple rules of putting in for your life. Man,
(07:51):
we don't even do that. I wish I would put
in for a job and not put in for God.
You gotta be kidding me. You think this man that
has this company can have more to offer to you
in terms of vacation, promos and raisers, Then God got
for you for your life. Man, you keep putting too
much faith in Man, that's what's wrong with us. I
show hope he give me his raise. I'll show hope.
I don't even go to people with that.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
I go to.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
God about it. Then God touched them people's hearts. Then
when I walk in there, it's already done. That's how
you capture this thing, folks. It's not a magic trick.
It's just a real simple understanding. Why would you not
put in with God? If you're gonna put in on
your job, that don't make no sense. Where you get
the job from? Where your job? Where your boss get
(08:33):
his position from? Where did this company come from? So
when you peel back to but now that it all
make a lot of sense, don't it?
Speaker 1 (08:40):
It really does. And I'm just a common sense god.
Speaker 7 (08:42):
You know.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
Look, I don't have the education that a lot of
people have, but I gotta show show enough bunch of
life experience. Though Oh I've been I've been getting smacked
and knocked down the majority of my life. Oh I
may look good to you now there look like he
got his shine going on. And I am grateful to
God for my life that I got now because it
ain't the one I had. But I got news for you.
(09:02):
It ain't the one I thought I was gonna have
until I put in for it. I ain't see none
of this until I put in for it. And you know,
as I saw it shaping and forming, and I said, God,
could that really be happening. I wonder if you could
make me this, Lord, I was wondering, Man, could I
really have a syndicated radio show. Lord, I make it happen.
If it's in your wheel. I put in for it.
Speaker 8 (09:22):
Now.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
I'm working my tail off now because that's a part
of it.
Speaker 7 (09:25):
See.
Speaker 6 (09:26):
But then God tells you that too. He says, faith
without works is dead. I'm working my behind off. But
the big thing is I put in for it. So
I got a bunch of more stuff that I don't
put in for God. I can't tell y'all what it is,
but oh, Lord, have mercy. I'm in line. I'm putting
in for all the blessings that's due me. If God's
passing out of raising blessings, I'm lined up. He passing
(09:49):
out extra checks down at the job. I'm lined up
because I'm putting in. Why don't you put in too?
Come on, y'all, talk to God. He loved hear from.
Speaker 9 (09:57):
You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
Ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 6 (10:05):
Another day is upon us, another blessing, another opportunity, another
grand chance, another shot at it.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Man, God is good man. Thank you God for waking
me up.
Speaker 6 (10:17):
This morning started me on my way, as in the
words of old people, enclosed in my right mind, safe
at son, tucked under the wings of his goodness and mercy. Wow,
that's a good way start your day like that, everybody,
Steve Arvret Marner Show, Shelon Strawberry calling for real Mississippi
(10:37):
Monica Junior and the legend that is Nephew Tummy.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Well with regret, with deep regret. Here I go, Jr.
Speaker 6 (10:52):
What's on your mind today?
Speaker 1 (10:57):
You know what's on my mind?
Speaker 7 (11:00):
He man?
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Do you ever get tired of being the chosen one?
Speaker 10 (11:02):
On?
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Do you ever get to? Yeah? Yesterday? Yeah, that's all
I have to ask you. Do you ever get I'm
good then? Yeah?
Speaker 6 (11:19):
See, man, listen to me. I was listening to Roy
Jones Junior, the Great Fighter. He was talking to this
young fighter, and this young fighter was talking about how
hard it is and and and he didn't want this.
He Roy Jones Jr. I'm paraphrasing it said, I know
you didn't want this, but this ain't for you to
(11:41):
wont It was put on you. You was chosen, this
is your walk. But he put this on your calls.
You can handle it, So just get to handle it.
You don't get to set this down. You don't get
to not be who you are. You don't get to
have what you have, provide what you provide, and and
and and and don't get all that come with it.
(12:03):
To whom much is given, much is required. Now let
me tell you something. You got to get on with
that process. You cannot take the crown off and set
it down.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
It's not removable.
Speaker 6 (12:16):
That's the cold thing about being what you call the
chosen one. And it's hard because even if you try
to take the crown down, even if you just try
to take some time off.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
They find you.
Speaker 6 (12:28):
You got phones, they got technology, they got our g
I saw on your story you over here. Hey man,
I need I have someone who needs something from me
every single day. And hit the crazy part, I have
someone who wants something from me every single day. Well,
I don't have no mo to give because I'm human.
(12:52):
But we are that one. You are that one in
your family, do you know. Look a lot of people
out here, the first one in their family to have
a position at the post office, supervisor position, first person
to go to college, first person to hold a real job,
have a supervisor capacity, first person with a real job
title other than labor. It's some people out there that's
(13:14):
the first first person ever in your family, ever saved
some money, ever, buy a new house, ever, get married, ever,
hold your family together. It's a lot of first out there.
And then guess what, since you're the only one in
that family, tag you it now. If you don't want
to be it, give all this stuff back, all right,
but you're it, all right, then.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
You don't get to not be it.
Speaker 9 (13:38):

sense to be going through what you went through. So
let me just give you a call and you give
me a reference on you know, what's good and what's
(14:51):
bad about it.
Speaker 7 (14:52):
I think that's a good thing. We'll all be crank.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
Okay, it is worse.
Speaker 9 (14:58):
It is.
Speaker 10 (15:00):

No no, no, no, no, no, I I got that. Brother,
May y'all throw hear me out. What I'm trying to
say is is that I feel that if I get
a reference and figure out what kind of person she
(16:03):
is and get to get a you know, kind of
get a background so you can kind of tell me
what kind of person her good points or bad qualities,
the whole note, it might save me sometime from being
in a long relationship if I know what to look
for what's good on? We mad say say, oh boy,
oh boy, I know, I know I'm not listening to this.
I was mad twelve years. Ain't nobody give me no rest,
(16:25):
So don't call me asking for no like that. If
you got number for monkey, you and Monica need to
forget my Okay, but hold on, hold bro Like I say, man,
I'm just trying to figure out Hold up, I'm trying
to figure out the good qualities and bad quite like
you know, do she want to cook? You know? Is
she good in the bedroom? You know what I'm saying.
I'm trying to know. I'm trying to just know what
(16:47):

to come to you maid, but I just can't believe
calling enough about some I don't have a no more.
Only thing I have to deal with is my child.
You know what I'm saying. And you most definitely don't
need to be a robber. Now, say, dude, I got
to go Okay, okay, okay, but can you give me
a good reference owner? That's all I'm trying to get out. Man.
(17:10):
The reference is don't die number ever again. And when
I talked to Monica, me and her. But hey, you
ain't gonna have to worry about the relationship with Monica.

Ain't look here. Oh so you that slick, Say, mate,
why don't you slide your little slick back under that
rock that you slipped for Monthay? He ay dog? I
(17:53):
can slide right on back under the rock you talking about.
But what I'm trying to ask you is this right here? Man? Hey?
Can you just give a a some references? Man, something
I can look out for some signs. That reference I'm
gonna give you is when you don't have enough money
when she want that twelve hundred dollars bag, don't call

(18:37):
I'm gonna call Monica and I'm gonna track down. Then yes,
give you a reference. Then yeah, yeah, I give you reference.
Then face to face. No, I ain't trying to have
no altercation with you. Man, Oh boy, you must have
been trying to have something.
Speaker 5 (18:51):

Speaker 10 (18:53):

Speaker 11 (21:25):
We know, oh, we know. Thanks for the warning. All right, nephew,
thank you.
Speaker 9 (21:30):
Coming up next to his asks the clo our chief
love Officer Steve Harvey. Right after this, you're listening to
the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It's your girl, Shirley Strawberry.
You know, mornings just aren't complete without a McDonald's breakfast.
Have you heard about the new spicy sausage McMuffin with
(21:51):
egg It's got a creamy red pepper heat. I've got
to try that. I'm thinking it would hit just right
with my morning coffee. And there's nothing like that rush
of making it to McDonald's in time for breakfast. Swing
by and make your mourning at McDonald's morning. Bada Da
Da da at participating restaurants for a limited time only.
(22:12):
Coming up at the top of the hour and entertainment news,
President Trump says the NFL Washington commanders must change their
name back to the Redskins. Former President Barack Obama, I
mean this petty stuff. When is the pettiness going to stop?
Former President Barack Obama responds to President Trump's trees and
(22:33):
accusations and more. Celebrities are upset at CBS for canceling
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. We'll talk about all
of these stories at the top of the hour, but
right now it is time to ask the CLO our
chief Love Officer, Steve hartin all right, This is from
Klenna in Rosemont. Klena writes, I had a consultation to
(22:58):
get my breast implants, to get breast in plants, and
my husband called and canceled the appointment. He thinks I
don't need the surgery, but this is my body and
I don't feel sexy for him like I used to.
It's my body, So should I do what I want
to do?
Speaker 1 (23:14):
Well, Colinea, I'll tell you what I think. I think.
Speaker 6 (23:18):
Horatio has second thoughts about all this. You get the
names like that right there, collinear Horati. But you know,
and I'll tell you what it is with him, It
has nothing to do with that. It's money. It's money, darling.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Really, it's it.
Speaker 6 (23:38):
That's it's money with me.
Speaker 11 (23:41):
And oh, you don't think he's concerned that something might go.
Speaker 6 (23:45):
Wrong or he's gonna use that. It's money? What it's money?
Speaker 1 (23:56):
So she wants and what now, Shirley, what type of
she getting a reduction?
Speaker 11 (24:00):
No, she wants implant?
Speaker 12 (24:04):
All yeah, yeah, that's money.
Speaker 11 (24:10):
Okay, Well she didn't say that's all she said.
Speaker 6 (24:12):
Just and it's your body, and you do get to
vote on your body. You have to say something. We
got nothing that that's a whole nother story about.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
The wideness writes and all. That's down a whole nother path.
Speaker 6 (24:25):
I'm one hundred percent behind whatever women want to do
with their body, however they want to do it. I
don't me and shouldn't even be voting on this, right.
It's the most ridiculous thing in that part America. Get
on my nerves. Next question sherey me.
Speaker 9 (24:37):
Moving on to uh Fiera Fiera and Albini says, my
boyfriend's friend Sierra.
Speaker 11 (24:47):
Her name is Sierra in Albany.
Speaker 9 (24:49):
She says, my boyfriend's friend sent me a picture of
his manhood and I didn't say anything. I texted him
to see if he sent it to me by mistake.
He said it was a big mistake and he apologized.
I told my boyfriend and he said I handled it wrong.
I should have told him first. Why is he mad
at me and not at his friend who sent it?
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Well, he ain't dating his friend.
Speaker 6 (25:17):
He's dating you, so what And he was saying, and
he has a right to feel what he's feeling. But you,
you didn't do anything technically wrong. No, but let me
tell you where the guy's coming from. So what it
made it look like for him for a moment is
(25:40):
you was called and to find out if you sent
this to me on purpose? When the guy, the guy
sent it to you on purpose. Fellow, understand me. Get
that clip. Yeah, he sent it to your on purpose.
He was waiting on you to react. When your reaction
was that, then he went sideways because he missread you
(26:02):
and thought you might want to see this.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
But he misread you. And when you called him, wait,
did you send me this on accident?
Speaker 6 (26:09):
You you wouldn't say, oh, no, man, oh, that was accident.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
No no, no, no, bro.
Speaker 10 (26:16):
K.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
So now your man is thinking you gave him an option,
a chance to react in a certain way, and saying
you should have bought it to me.
Speaker 11 (26:29):
Oh okay.
Speaker 9 (26:30):
So is the boyfriend still gonna check his friend though?
I mean, because all he's doing right now is checking
his girlfriend. Is he gonna say anything to his friend
about sending girlfriend the picture?
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Oh lot, Oh that's going to be a whole nother conversation.
Speaker 11 (26:46):
I mean, because so first she's just getting.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
All the heat.
Speaker 6 (26:49):
Well see she don't know because now see he got
to go to he got to go to He now
has to approach his friend a little bit different. Yeah,
because the girl then called the head of the time. Had
she just went to him and said, your man sent
me this, your friend sent me this. Then he can
go over there wild buffalo bill chest out everything. But
(27:12):
now since you called him first to ask you, you see,
now he's he got a statement prepared.
Speaker 11 (27:21):
He see here.
Speaker 6 (27:27):
He don't get to roll up on him straight necked
and busted. He got to roll up now with the
hey man, hey look. And but your girl was asking
me like like really cool. She wasn't even like really mad. See,
he got to hear that me. That's what the problem is.
That's why he's mad.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
And why does she have his number.
Speaker 11 (27:48):
Of her number?
Speaker 7 (27:51):
You got to remember she can't unsee what she saw.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
And you don't sin that's wrong.
Speaker 12 (28:02):
Little people, right right right, you get that good angle
you're saying.
Speaker 6 (28:11):
Downloaded, you're seeing the whole reel rack out there called Yeah,
you send the slab. You don't send You don't seen
the real bone. You send the slab. These ain't baby
bags called Did you mean?
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Did you mean to seeing me?
Speaker 7 (28:34):
This help? And it ain't delited, I can assure you
it ain't.
Speaker 11 (28:44):
Is that why the boyfriends is really he tight?
Speaker 6 (28:47):
And then and then that picture he already knows boy loaded.
You already know that they'd have been down to the gym.
He just came out the shower. Like when I was
in the ninth grade and Eric Green came out the shop.
We was all sitting there when it came out to
show what happened.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Now we all did in the ninth grade, we were.
Speaker 11 (29:06):
Speechless.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Who daddy is dish? He talk about that show with
law all right?
Speaker 9 (29:19):
Moving on to Black in Nashville, Black Rites, I was
vibing with this female until I found out that she
enjoys cigars more than I do, and she's well known
by the guys at the cigar bars that I go to.
I am uncomfortable with my girl being a star at
the cigar bar? Is this a real issue? Or am
(29:39):
I insecure?
Speaker 6 (29:42):
Well, bro, you'd have made an issue. Yeah, you met
her at the cigar ball. She smoked cigar. All the
guys know she smoked cigar. You ain't the only one
to think she'd fine, dog, You ain't the only one
(30:03):
things she found. So are you insecure?
Speaker 1 (30:07):
Yeah? Okay, very much.
Speaker 12 (30:10):
So that's got insecurity wrote all over. I don't want
everybody knowing her. Well they do, they do.
Speaker 9 (30:18):
Uh huh, All right, interesting clos Thank you. Coming up
at the top of the hour. We'll have some entertainment
news for you right after this. You're listening Steve Hardy
Morning Show. According to US News and a series of
(30:40):
posts on truth social President Trump took aim at the
NFL's Washington Commanders and Major League Baseball's Cleveland Guardians, both
franchises rebranded several years ago. We all remember this due
to concerns about the use of Native American names and imagery.
Trump said, quote, I made the restriction on them that
(31:01):
if they don't change the name back to the original
Washington Redskins and get rid of that ridiculous moniker Washington Commanders.
He also threatened to block a deal allowing them to
construct a new stadium in Washington, DC, and then Trump
posted Cleveland should do the same with the Cleveland Indians.
He said, make Indians great again. So, first of all,
(31:24):
God can he do that?
Speaker 6 (31:27):
He meant his Indians inconsiderate? Oh my person, that you
could put in the White House? What you bothering? The
commanders and the guardians fault? Why is this even on
your radar? We got so much to do?
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Isn't necessarily president of the United States?
Speaker 6 (31:49):
Do you know the problem that so many Native Americans
had with being called Redskins? Did the reason they took
the Indians off that cabs because of that little, big
grinning face. All of that's been a problem. Got to
put it back on it. You just that's something.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Consider it.
Speaker 6 (32:09):
Hey, why is he talking about it?
Speaker 1 (32:15):
NFL owners and the commissioner.
Speaker 11 (32:18):
Yeah, I can even do this as president.
Speaker 9 (32:22):
Yeah, all right, moving on, it gets even more ridiculous. Okay,
it gets even more ridiculous, President Trump accused former President
Barack Obama of treason after Trump posted an AI generated
video of Obama getting arrested.
Speaker 11 (32:41):
You guys see that, I saw, Yeah, it was horrible.
Speaker 9 (32:44):
President Obama's statement quote, out of respect for the office of.
Speaker 11 (32:47):
The presidency, all right, we haven't heard that in a while.
Speaker 9 (32:50):
Out of the respect. Out of respect for the office
of the presidency. Our office does not normally dignify the
constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House
with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to
merit on These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a week
(33:12):
attempt at a distraction. Nothing in the document issued last
week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence.
Russia did work we all know they did to influence
the twenty sixteen presidential election, but did not successfully manipulate
any votes. These findings were a form were affirmed in
(33:34):
twenty twenty report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led
by then Chairman Marco Rubio, Secretary of State.
Speaker 8 (33:44):
Now yeah, yeah, yeah, President Trump Chairman Mark uh huh.
Speaker 9 (33:49):
Song, I mean yeah, leave Obama alone and Biden and
all the presidents that came before.
Speaker 11 (33:56):
You just do your.
Speaker 7 (33:57):
Job being a president.
Speaker 8 (34:02):
President Obama lives rent free, Yeah, but.
Speaker 6 (34:08):
You know, just just just be presidential. It's very difficult
for him to do that. And I keep telling you all,
you all are expecting a key, a man who was
born into money to understand those who have never had money.
That's not going to happen. You have a man in
(34:28):
office who is in everybody's business because now he is
abusing the office of the president to now share his
opinion on true social and anywhere else on any subject
he chooses, no matter the level of significance or importance.
And we have to sit here while we're dealing with
(34:51):
what could happen to medicaid, What has happened to all
these families jobs due to DOGE cuts, what's going to
happen after the mere term elections. How we're going to
make these terrorist works for all of us as we
grapple with this, and you'll go back to being the
Indians and the redskin.
Speaker 9 (35:13):
Really though, really, And then you heard what he said
about Stephen Colbert and the Late Show getting canceled. He
said he posted this untruth social I absolutely love that
Colbert got fired.
Speaker 11 (35:28):
His talent was even less than his ratings.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
Oh my god.
Speaker 11 (35:33):
So Colbert clapped back.
Speaker 9 (35:36):
Though this past Monday, he responded in his opening monologue
and said, in part, with all due respect, sir, go
f yourself.
Speaker 11 (35:48):
The F bomb was bleeped out. It was bleeped out.
Speaker 9 (35:51):
The audience started chanting Steven, Steven, steven.
Speaker 6 (35:56):
But he says now, he says, Jimmy Kimmel and falling.
You know, if you say anything against him, he comes
for you.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
This is not.
Speaker 6 (36:11):
What we need there, you know. Look, man, if he
would just focus on the things he's done that's of
value while in the office.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
Can I ask you a question? See, do you think
this is all a distraction?
Speaker 6 (36:24):
Of course it is. Let me explain something to you.
He trying to get this Epstein thing off the shelf.
But a lot of his base ain't letting me go.
Even Marjorie Taylor Green ain't letting it go. It's a
lot of people ain't.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
Let very loyal to him that she is not letting
it go.
Speaker 6 (36:40):
Because there are some people who draw the line at
messing over children. Now, it ain't all of them up there.
A lot of them will go along with it to
maintain their power position in money. I told y'all from
the beginning, this is power position in money. They're not
going to do that. But when you start doing stuff
to keys, come on, man.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
Yeah, this is sick. Cross the line, Julian, Can I
ask you a question? Have you want to say the
F word? This morning? Already back here? Have you wanted
to say it? Yeah?
Speaker 9 (37:13):

the crew some funny random questions. Right after this, you're
listening Harvey Morning Show. Have you thought about buying life

Be you're just gonna get your bills paid? What about you?

Speaker 1 (40:51):
Well, you have, you have a rough life.
Speaker 7 (40:55):
You are not sure, you are not sure? You are nice?
Speaker 1 (41:00):

Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour. The
most common way people get caught cheating. Wow, we'll talk
about that right after this. You're listening hardy morning show. Well,
the kiss can that we talked about earlier this week
at the Coldplay concert ended up revealing a couple having
(41:33):

shows them panic as they were shown on the big screen,
and then later we learned that they were a CEO
and his company's head of h R.

were caught because of their phone.
Speaker 11 (42:05):
You're absolutely right, Steve.
Speaker 9 (42:07):
Either you're on it all the time or you're constantly

wanted to make sure I had the right person. So
here's the issue. You say your name was Nate. Yeah, okay, Nate.
What were the problem we're having here at the school
is I don't know if you are aware of it,
but when your your wife drops Crystal off at school,
we've got the parents as well as some of the teachers.
(48:44):
They're they're complaining about what she's what she's wearing, what
your wife is, yeah, what she's wearing when she drops
the kids off. Evidently, her clothes are very skimpy, and
her butt cheeks her butt cheeks her out. You know,
I don't know she's I haven't actually seen her, but
I've been getting these reports from uh, we've been getting.
Speaker 13 (49:05):
That's a little strange to me. I'm typically at work.
I mean, I don't know what she's wearing. I'm I'm
gonna have to talk to her later on today.
Speaker 12 (49:15):
Okay, Well, what I what I was gonna suggest is uh,
you know, I actually I thought I was calling her phone.
Speaker 7 (49:22):
I didn't know I was. I was gonna get you.
Speaker 12 (49:24):
But what I wanted to do is get her to
come up here so I can see what she's wearing.
Speaker 1 (49:30):

Speaker 13 (49:30):
No, no, no, I think I got this handl dude,

both of us, Like if I was able to see
her uh in the and and let her.
Speaker 13 (49:42):
Look player, look, look, I got it, my daughter. This
is not even really concerning my daughter. This is uh
you know, this is this is above that pay grade.
Let me handle it so you know, you know, my
daughter going to principal's office is one thing. I'll be
on top of that. But I'm definitely gonna be on
top of this. So so, like I said, I I think.
Speaker 7 (49:59):
I this handle right now. What now, your wife, Carmen,
is she there?
Speaker 13 (50:04):
Uh? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (50:05):
I mean is there anywhere I can talk to her?
Speaker 10 (50:06):
No?
Speaker 13 (50:07):
Like I told you, I think I think I got
this one. I can take care of this. And you know,
my thing is, I've already told you that three times.
I don't know where you're really going with this. You know,
I'm gonna I'm gonna talk to her and get the
situation situation RECTORFI as soon as I can. But we
don't you know, you don't need to you don't need
to see her, you know, talk to her.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
Being the principle here at the school, sir.
Speaker 12 (50:31):
Uh, Like I said, you know, I'm just trying to,
you know, handle the school in the orderly fashion and
make sure that all things are taking care of around
here and we have no issues and no problems.
Speaker 13 (50:41):
So what whether you're not talking to my daughter, you're
talking to me. I'm a I'm a husband, I'm a father.
I'm telling you what I tell you. I got to handle.
I got a handle, I.
Speaker 12 (50:50):
Understand it, but I have to handle my school though.
You understand that I have to handle school.
Speaker 13 (50:56):
I will drop my door off myself.
Speaker 7 (50:58):
Okay, I understand that.
Speaker 13 (50:59):
What No, I mean, do I need to come up
there and talk to you?
Speaker 7 (51:02):
No, I need your wife to come talk to me.
I need to see what she be winning.
Speaker 13 (51:05):
Don't need to talk to my wife. Player, do you
have a wife?
Speaker 1 (51:08):
Yeah, I have a wife.
Speaker 13 (51:09):
Come to my office.
Speaker 7 (51:10):
But what what what do you?
Speaker 1 (51:11):
What do you? What are you? What are you talking about?
Speaker 10 (51:13):
No?
Speaker 13 (51:13):
What are you talking about that? My wife needs to
come and and and so you can inspect her outfit.
I'm not playing that game, player, I'm not We're not
doing that.
Speaker 1 (51:21):
Okay. I need to see what your wife be wearing
when she's dropping these kids.
Speaker 13 (51:24):
Get me yourself one, I'll send you a picture.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
Man. And man, I think we must have gone down
the wrong street, which is co Yeah, No.
Speaker 13 (51:31):
We definitely down the wrong boulevard on this one.
Speaker 10 (51:33):
Player.
Speaker 13 (51:33):
Okay, let me let me just make it very clear
to you. My wife, you're seeing that in the office
and all that. Maybe we can come up there tomorrow
is gonna be me and her. No, he's not coming
up to the principal's office. We don't need to do
it all.
Speaker 1 (51:44):
But we don't have a problem with you. We just
need her.
Speaker 7 (51:47):
I just need to see you.
Speaker 13 (51:49):
You're gonna have a problem with me if we keep
going down this road right now, okay.
Speaker 12 (51:52):
So, so it's okay for her to have her butt
cheeks out when she dropped the kids off, but as
soon as I want to have her come out of
office for a meeting about this situation right.
Speaker 13 (52:01):
Now, right now. You you said you're claiming her butt
seases out like seases out right now? You out of pocket?
Speaker 12 (52:09):
Okay, No, it was out of pocket where she pulled
up and got out of the car and her butt
was out of pocket.
Speaker 1 (52:13):
That's when it was out of pocket.
Speaker 12 (52:15):
So so what you can't do, Nate, is be mad
at me by what your wife then put on and
walk up into the school.
Speaker 13 (52:20):
Look man like I said, I'm gonna do what I
gotta do on this on this end, your end is
to handle what's going on in your school.
Speaker 7 (52:27):
Well, evidently you're not handling that in over there.
Speaker 12 (52:30):
So that's why I'm stepping up as the principal of
the school saying I need to have a meeting, a
private meeting with your wife, so w and her and
I can talk about what she's wearing.
Speaker 13 (52:39):
Look, man, I done told you several times her coming
up there on her own is not gonna happen. So
this is where we're at right now. You know what
you not gonna happen?
Speaker 1 (52:48):
Say what say what? You say?
Speaker 13 (52:50):
You what's gonna happen Tomorrow? I'm gonna come up there
and drop my daughter off some see you.
Speaker 1 (52:54):
So you're coming here tomorrow?
Speaker 13 (52:55):
Absolutely?
Speaker 12 (52:56):
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, So are you bringing miss
Carmen with you?
Speaker 13 (53:02):
Don't worry about who's with me. I'm not a telephone
tuk guy money. I'm coming up there to handle this
right now, because you're out of box that this is
how it's going down. There will be no butt cheeks
coming out out tomorrow. It's just gonna be coming out
the car on some real you understand. What's your name again?
Speaker 1 (53:18):
My name? I'm poored the principal here.
Speaker 13 (53:21):
All right, There'll be no butt scheak tomorrow. You will
see me coming out the car.
Speaker 12 (53:26):
Okay, okay, okay, Uh, Well, there is there is another
issue we got here on the table, and what is that?
So so Miss Carmen and she told you about uh
the conversation she's.
Speaker 1 (53:40):
Been having with Tommy?
Speaker 13 (53:42):
Who is Tommy?
Speaker 1 (53:43):
So that once again?
Speaker 12 (53:44):
So your wife ain't telling you not so she she
hadn't told you nothing about her talking to Tommy.
Speaker 13 (53:49):
No, dude, I don't want to play games. Man. Who's Tommy?
Speaker 12 (53:52):
Okay? So? So okay, okay, do you know? Okay?
Speaker 1 (53:56):

the Steve har Morning Show? Do you know him?

Speaker 7 (56:43):
What's the hesitation? Look them up and hold on tight.
Let's get it back here. It is one and only
Strawberry letter.
Speaker 11 (56:50):
How much as much as you hesitate subject.
Speaker 9 (56:54):
My husband leaves his phone at home. You want to
get to this one, don't you, Nephew. I'm not sure
if it's about you or not.
Speaker 11 (57:01):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 9 (57:03):
Dear Stephen Shirley, I never expected my husband to cheat
on me. He swears he hasn't done anything, but the
proof says that he is lying. He always leaves his
phone at home because he's never on the phone, and
he's not on social media. He's forgetful. So I get
annoyed when I try to call him and his phone
is stuck down in the couch or way back on
(57:23):
the bedroom dresser. I think he was doing that on
purpose to throw me off. And here's why my husband's
brother called the house yesterday to talk to my husband.
He said he had just talked to him, and he
assumed he was home.
Speaker 11 (57:36):
Because the number was blocked.
Speaker 9 (57:39):
My husband was supposed to be at a lounge with
his cousin, so I told his brother that's where he was.
His brother said, my husband was whispering on the phone,
so he is worried about him. I told him that
my husband's phone was at the house with me, and
then his brother got off the phone quickly. When my
husband came home, he was sweat and disheveled. I told
(58:02):
him that his brother called, and he looked confused. I
threw his phone at him and yelled and screamed about
him cheating on me, and he said, it's not what
I think. His brother won't answer my calls, and my
husband told me to stop calling his brother.
Speaker 11 (58:17):
What is going on?
Speaker 9 (58:19):
Does my husband leave his phone at home to throw
me off because he has another phone for his side chick?
Please advise well, I definitely think he has another phone.
I mean, it's hard to think that grown people go
out of the house without their phone these days. Now
is this other phone for a side chick? I don't know,
but I wouldn't rule it out either, because it looks
(58:42):
very suspicious. In any event, something is going on because
why won't his brother answer your calls? Now, let me guess,
because he doesn't want you asking him any questions about
your husband or anything. This all makes it look like
your brother in law is guilty as well. Well, the
brother called you first.
Speaker 11 (59:02):
What was he calling you for?
Speaker 9 (59:03):
To find out about why your husband was whispering and
all that.
Speaker 11 (59:07):
There's only two.
Speaker 9 (59:07):
Reasons I think that a man would need a second phone.
You know, he'll have one for work or business and
the other one to.
Speaker 11 (59:16):
Keep up with his sidepiece.
Speaker 9 (59:18):
Okay, I think that's why he doesn't care about leaving
the phone at home, well that particular phone anyway.
Speaker 11 (59:24):
Yeah, it's to throw you off.
Speaker 9 (59:26):
Because the important one is always with him, and your
husband owes you an explanation.
Speaker 11 (59:32):
Please do not let this.
Speaker 1 (59:34):
Go, Steve, Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 11 (59:36):
I already know.
Speaker 1 (59:38):
Boy, what letter did you read?
Speaker 11 (59:41):
You know which one?
Speaker 9 (59:42):
I read?
Speaker 10 (59:42):
You?
Speaker 1 (59:43):
This home recked advice? You didn't gave.
Speaker 10 (59:51):
Out?
Speaker 6 (59:51):
This ain't no lie, These are facts because you're not listening. Linda,
Dear Stephen Shirley, I never expected my.
Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
Husband to cheat on me.
Speaker 6 (01:00:06):
He swears he ain't done nothing, but the proof says
he's lying. Keyword proof. The proof says he's lying. Well,
let's go find out what proof she had is he
always leaves his phone at home because he's never on
the phone, and he's not on social media.
Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
He's forgetful.
Speaker 6 (01:00:28):
So I get annoyed when I try to call him
and his phone and stuff down in the couch or
way back on the bedroom dresser. Now, let me tell
you something right here, theseus full grown people right here,
full blown grown. Ain't no young person leaving their phone
at home. Theseus old people right here. How old, I
(01:00:49):
don't know, but young people don't go nowhere without their phone.
It's the GPS, it's uber eats, it's Uber, it's left,
it's for debates.
Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
And arguments Google. So these are some grown people here.
Speaker 15 (01:01:07):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
I think he was doing that on purpose to throw
me off. And here is why.
Speaker 6 (01:01:14):
Okay, now we should be getting into the proof. My
husband's brother called the house yesterday to talk to my husband. Now, Sureley,
you said he called her first, So why is he
not answering the phone?
Speaker 10 (01:01:31):
Now?
Speaker 1 (01:01:33):
He didn't call her, He called the house, which is.
Speaker 6 (01:01:39):
Evidenced that these as old people again, cause they got
a house for the landline.
Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
He called the house. He didn't call hersell he called
the house.
Speaker 6 (01:01:55):
See how I'm working through this thing with you. That's
why when you have a proof on, people know what
you're talking about. My husband brother called the house yesterday
to talk to my brother. He said he had just
talked to him, and he assumed he was home because
the number was blocked. That means when you called from
(01:02:16):
the house phone that number didn't show up. It showed
up as blocked. My husband was supposed to be at
a lounge with his cousins, so I told his brother
that's where it was. His brother said, my husband was
whispering on the phone, so he's worried about him.
Speaker 9 (01:02:35):
You missed something. That reason another reason there. You think
they're older lounge lounge.
Speaker 1 (01:02:42):
With his I didn't miss that.
Speaker 11 (01:02:44):
Cousin who go to the lounge lounge?
Speaker 1 (01:02:46):
Yeah, lounge and taverns. I told him. Anyway, when I
come back. This is so so not proof of keeping.
Speaker 9 (01:03:03):
Wait hang on, we'll have part two of Steve's response
coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
Speaker 11 (01:03:08):
Today's Strawberry Letter, subject my husband leaves his phone at home.
Speaker 9 (01:03:12):
We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 9 (01:03:52):
All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap today's strawberry letter.
The subject is my husband leaves his phone at home, and.
Speaker 1 (01:04:00):
That's all it is. Now.
Speaker 6 (01:04:02):
I know these are older people, because don't know young
person leave their phone at home. Nobody.
Speaker 12 (01:04:07):
Nobody does that, Nobody even I won't leave a house
without my phone.
Speaker 1 (01:04:14):
I turned around.
Speaker 6 (01:04:15):
We gotta go back get his phone because the reason
we do that because Margorie don't answer her phone. So
any emergency, the kids know they got to call dad
because Dad got his phone. Anyway, He swears he ain't
done anything, but the proof says he's lying. He always
leaves his phone at home on the couch stuck out
in the couch or back on the dresser. She gets
(01:04:35):
frustrated with this because he's forgetful, and she gets annoy
it when she try to reach him and he ain't
got no call. But he ain't on his phone a lot,
and he don't do social media, so he don't even
use his phone. These as old people. But I think
she now thinks that he's doing that on purpose to
throw me off. My husband's brother called the house yesterday
(01:04:58):
to talk to my husband, that he had talked to
him and assumed he was home because the number was blocked.
Ain't a whole lot of people got home phones no more.
It just ain't a lot no more. Once again, these
old people.
Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
Now.
Speaker 6 (01:05:14):
Shirley said in her letter earlier that he called her first,
but now the brother won't call her back. That's not true, Shirley.
He called the house the landline at the house, and
that's where he thought his brother was, and he was
worried about his brother because his brother would talk to him,
(01:05:35):
and he assumed he was home because the line was blocked,
and he was worried about his brother because his brother
was whispery. Now, she said that can't be, because my
husband was supposed to be at a lounge with his cousins.
Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
Some more proof that theseus old people.
Speaker 11 (01:05:50):
Lounge tavern, land line.
Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
Land line, call the house, leave his phone at home.
Speaker 6 (01:06:01):
I told him that my husband's phone was at the
house with me, and then his brother got off the
phone quickly. When my husband came home, he was sweaty
and dishevel. That's because he'd been down at the lounge.
Most lounges air conditioning is always broke. That's why they lounge.
See you going to club club air condition to work
(01:06:23):
a lounge air conditioning hardy ever one and he looked
dishevel because he was down there with his cousin. I
told him that his brother called, and he looked confused.
I threw his phone at him and yelled and screamed
about him cheating on me, And he said, it's not
what I think. Where did you get throwing the phone
at the man telling him he was cheating on you?
Speaker 1 (01:06:45):
Where did you get this? From? Sry? His brother won't
ask some my calls, and my husband told me to
stop calling his brother. Quit calling my brother now, Shirley said,
but the brother.
Speaker 6 (01:06:59):
Called her first. Know the brother called the house. Y'all
ain't got that type of relationship. He not finna call
you back to He gonna let his brother straighten all
this out and see what direction the brother is gonna take.
What's going on? Does my husband leave his phone at
home to throw me off because he has another phone
(01:07:21):
for his side?
Speaker 12 (01:07:21):
Chick?
Speaker 1 (01:07:22):
What other phone for the side chick?
Speaker 6 (01:07:26):
You ain't seen no other phone, Lady. You're jumping to conclusions.
Stop listening to Surety right, Sureley gonna break up your home.
You ain't gonna hand nobody. You in here throwing your
phone at your man accusing him of cheating. You ain't
(01:07:47):
heard him on the phone with no woman. You don't
have no text messages, you ain't got no pictures. The
man leave his phone at home. You ain't got nothing,
no email, he ain't on tender.
Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
So why is he cheating on you?
Speaker 7 (01:08:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:08:07):
Why lord?
Speaker 7 (01:08:09):
Good question? Good question?
Speaker 9 (01:08:11):
Why was he whispering? Why won't his brother, his brother
answer her calls?
Speaker 10 (01:08:16):
Now?
Speaker 9 (01:08:17):
Why was the husband sweaty and disheveled when he came
home from the lounge.
Speaker 1 (01:08:21):
They was at the lounge, Charly, When.
Speaker 11 (01:08:23):
You're at a lounge, you're chilling, You're you're not up dancing, getting.
Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
Lounge, don't have to. Lounges don't have good air conditioning.
Speaker 11 (01:08:34):
So you're just in there just sweating.
Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
Hot. No, girl, no, you don't.
Speaker 10 (01:08:44):
No, no, no, you know what.
Speaker 6 (01:08:49):
Yeah, sometimes you just go in and out. But I understand,
I understand every man is cheating, right, No, I didn't
say that.
Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
Your letters. You always want the woman to.
Speaker 11 (01:09:04):
Leave only if it calls for it. If it calls where.
Speaker 1 (01:09:11):
Just show me where in this letter does it say
this man is cheating. Just show it's not gonna say it. Okay,
Well she shows me.
Speaker 11 (01:09:19):
She thinks he has two phones, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
Okay, she's not only seeing one.
Speaker 9 (01:09:24):
It's suspicious she had. She does have an intuition. The
brother called. He got off the phone quickly. Now he's
not answering any of her brother.
Speaker 1 (01:09:31):
You ain't my wife, I ain't got this conversation.
Speaker 11 (01:09:35):
So why is he calling in the first place, looking
for her brother?
Speaker 9 (01:09:40):
Looking for his brother when his brother told him he
was gonna be someplace and he wasn't nowhere.
Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
No, no, no, he didn't know where the brother was.
That's why he called the house.
Speaker 11 (01:09:48):
The brother waits cheating bottom line.
Speaker 9 (01:09:51):

Speaker 5 (01:11:54):

Speaker 1 (01:11:57):
Justin Herbert? We beat them in the playoff time?
Speaker 3 (01:12:00):
Doesn't Herbert?
Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
Number seven?
Speaker 7 (01:12:01):
Really?
Speaker 6 (01:12:02):
Justin?
Speaker 1 (01:12:03):
What tame he played for the Chargers? Chargers? Just okay?
Then we go to number see Matthew Stafford. I ain't
heard C. J. Shroud yet. I'm waiting. I'm waiting, Okay,
I'm waiting. Here we go. You know what, Lamar Jackson
at number four? Lamar Jackson number four, nah before Lamar
(01:12:24):
Joe Burrow didn't make the playoffs. Joe Burrow. Now he
do be dressing though I can't lie. He do be dressed.
Speaker 12 (01:12:29):
School.
Speaker 1 (01:12:30):
He black in some kind of way. He black, just
the way he moved. He black.
Speaker 16 (01:12:39):
Then number two is Josh Allen, Josh alanall and once
again number one. Everybody just said Patrick Mahon, don't don't
see my quarterback.
Speaker 6 (01:12:52):
Arm about Josh I mean about Patrick Mahome. He wins
and he plays. I think it's a travesty that Jalen
Hurt is number nine because this young man right here.
You know, they were talking about him on Sports Center
the other day and Cam Newton kind of started to argument.
Speaker 1 (01:13:14):
That he's not asked to win the games.
Speaker 6 (01:13:17):
He's just asked not to lose the game, and he
wins because he has superior talent around him. Well, football
is the ultimate team sport, and that ain't his fault
because he got a great running back and great receiver.
Speaker 1 (01:13:33):
Jalen Hurt get the job done. But Jalen Hurt win.
Speaker 6 (01:13:36):
It's a whole lot of people that's got good running
backs and good receivers and they ain't winning no Super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (01:13:43):
So miss me.
Speaker 6 (01:13:45):
With all that Josh Allen had, all that, he ain't
winn the Super Bowl, so y'all can miss me with that.
Jalen Hurts is in the top three four best quarterbacks
in the game right now.
Speaker 9 (01:13:56):
Yes, a man on social media needs some advice, Steve,
He says, am I being used.
Speaker 11 (01:14:04):
We'll talk about it right after this.
Speaker 9 (01:14:06):
You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
this is from EJ on Steve HARVFM. EJ says, I've
never been I was never the cool kid. But now
that I've done well for myself financially, I've become pretty popular.
I don't mind treating my friends now and then, but
(01:14:27):
it's starting to feel like I'm only invited because I
pick up the check. I still want to be generous,
just not taken for granted. How do you know if
people like you for you or just for the perks
you bring?
Speaker 12 (01:14:39):
Well, if they didn't like you before, why do they
like you all of a sudden? That's an easy one,
you know, if they didn't like you before, now all
of a sudden they like you.
Speaker 1 (01:14:52):
You do the math. What's the change you got money now?
He said? That's all.
Speaker 6 (01:14:58):
It ain't hard to figure out. You really got to
figure it out yourself. Yeah, Now what you need is
a new set of friends.
Speaker 1 (01:15:07):
That's all.
Speaker 6 (01:15:08):
Everybody come with you can't go with you, and you
keep going down there picking up the check and all that.
You don't have to do that, but you're doing that
because it makes you feel good to a degree too.
But now they taken advantage of it, and that's where
you gotta be careful.
Speaker 1 (01:15:24):
Okay. So yeah, it's because you got money. Now you
do the math.
Speaker 9 (01:15:31):
Okay, all right, great advice. We have time for another one.
This is from Devon and Dewan on Steve HARVFM. Dewan says,
what should have been a great road trip over the
weekend with my girlfriend and her son has turned out
to be just that, a trip. I can't seem to
get on the right side of things. I rented a
room in your car and took three of us to
(01:15:53):
an airbnb about six hours away. I thought it was cool,
but unbeknownst to me, there was some man of mind
because I wouldn't let her son drive the car. It
wasn't personal. I was the only one signed on to
the rental car and he's still under twenty five, so
he wouldn't have been allowed to drive it. I'm sure,
he's more than capable, but I didn't want the liability
(01:16:15):
in case something did happen while he was behind the wheel.
My girlfriend now thinks that I have quote something against
her son, and neither of them are talking to me.
Is there anything other than time I can get I
can do to get past this.
Speaker 6 (01:16:32):
Now, all you gotta do is tell him what you
just told us. Yeah, Now, what stupid person don't understand that?
And that's really real?
Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
About that under twenty five with the rental car? Really real?
That's really real. And if a person don't understand that, boto.
Speaker 11 (01:16:52):
He's twenty something on a trip with his mom and
what him?
Speaker 10 (01:16:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (01:17:01):
What is he going with them?
Speaker 10 (01:17:02):
For get that?
Speaker 9 (01:17:04):
I don't get that at all? Yeah, and he wants
to drive the car. He sounds like a brat.
Speaker 1 (01:17:13):
Yeah, and they don't understand that liability and all that. Yeah,
nobody pays for this.
Speaker 7 (01:17:21):
Car like that?
Speaker 10 (01:17:23):
Right?
Speaker 11 (01:17:23):
What would you have done?
Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
Steve? But I'm not You ain't drive?
Speaker 13 (01:17:30):
Well?
Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
What is.
Speaker 11 (01:17:33):
This guy is broiling bad? He's feelings.
Speaker 6 (01:17:36):
You ain't driving, you ain't about to a car, you
ain't about, you ain't rid the car, you ain't got
an amb and be sending the car.
Speaker 1 (01:17:42):
You're twenty years old. Why we can Why are we
taking him anyway?
Speaker 11 (01:17:46):
That's my question, that's my question.
Speaker 7 (01:17:49):
Why his feelings?
Speaker 11 (01:17:51):
Yeah, at he's trying.
Speaker 9 (01:17:53):
This guy is trying to do something nice for his
girl and her son. And then you know she's saying
now he had something against her. So I mean they're
in an airbnb, you know, and now they're mad at him.
They're mad at the guy who rented the car and everything.
Speaker 1 (01:18:10):
Ain't neither one of them talking to him.
Speaker 11 (01:18:11):
That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:18:13):
See but lady, listen to me.
Speaker 6 (01:18:16):
You're doing this because you're coming there in defense of
your son. You don't see the joy in a man
being a provider. You don't see the upside of the
man being a protector and just doing handling at all himself.
You don't see that because no, you want to cozy
up to this little pump.
Speaker 1 (01:18:35):
Oi you got. Yeah, yeah, Well that's show car shut
shut out it.
Speaker 7 (01:18:49):
All right?
Speaker 11 (01:18:50):
Thanks guys.
Speaker 9 (01:18:50):
More of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at
twenty minutes after.
Speaker 11 (01:18:54):
Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
Everybody knows how.
Speaker 10 (01:19:02):
Hot it is.
Speaker 11 (01:19:03):
It's a real sport. You're out there this summer.
Speaker 9 (01:19:06):
This week, and intense heat dome has expanded across the
Midwest and South, putting more than one hundred million Americans
under extreme heat conditions. Forecasters say daily highs will hit
or exceed one hundred degrees in many areas, and the
National Weather Service has already issued heat warnings and advisories
for over seventy million people. Officials urge everyone to stay hydrated,
(01:19:31):
limit your outdoor activity, and check on vulnerable neighbors.
Speaker 11 (01:19:35):
All right, that's what they advise.
Speaker 1 (01:19:37):
It is hot, good, very high.
Speaker 11 (01:19:39):
It is so Steve, have you been doing this?
Speaker 9 (01:19:42):
Keep staying hydrated, limiting your outdoor activity, and checking on
your neighbors.
Speaker 1 (01:19:46):
Yeah, you know, I stay hydrated.
Speaker 6 (01:19:49):
When I was you know, last week when I went
to the ICAST convention, I got a little dehydrated. I
wasn't drinking enough, But I came back and got it together.
There's someting like juice combinations that really hydrate you, like
water with pineapple and watermelon.
Speaker 1 (01:20:07):
Watermelon is a great hydration thing.
Speaker 11 (01:20:10):
Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 1 (01:20:11):
But you how to stay hydrated in this weather man,
it's critical you do.
Speaker 9 (01:20:15):
And they say they also say limitture outdrectivity and check
on your neighbors, so have you been doing that as well?
Speaker 1 (01:20:24):
We don't have no problem with this information. This heat
is what we need.
Speaker 2 (01:20:27):
We need.
Speaker 1 (01:20:29):
We out having pawty. We got a pugnic today.
Speaker 9 (01:20:36):

after the hour, we'll play around it.
Speaker 11 (01:20:41):

Speaker 3 (01:21:36):
Both both.
Speaker 1 (01:21:39):
We don't get in the wood, We ain't food with
the storm. We don't get in the woods.
Speaker 11 (01:21:42):

You heard it?
Speaker 10 (01:22:09):
No?
Speaker 1 (01:22:10):
Not at this age. I'd have seen a lot of
my friends wives, somebody you don't know. I've seen Rodney girl.
Speaker 10 (01:22:21):
I know.
Speaker 1 (01:22:24):

a flashlight?
Speaker 11 (01:22:50):

Speaker 9 (01:22:51):
Would you rather have Morgan Freeman or Junior narrate your
life story?
Speaker 1 (01:23:02):
Right then? Sure will?
Speaker 6 (01:23:08):
After he was living in the car, it all went
down after that, Sure Will.
Speaker 1 (01:23:16):
Then came show time and deal power.
Speaker 3 (01:23:19):

Speaker 1 (01:23:20):

jokes in the same one that Mitch Green everybody when

Speaker 11 (01:24:01):
Junior is going to narrate your life story. I can't wait.
I can't wait for that.
Speaker 1 (01:24:08):
All right?
Speaker 11 (01:24:08):
Would you rather? Would you rather be a famous singer
or a famous actor?
Speaker 5 (01:24:16):
Singer?
Speaker 1 (01:24:19):
You well, you want to be a famous actor, saying
Anthony Hamilton, you want to sing? You want to.
Speaker 11 (01:24:30):
That's today's rounded. Would you rather?
Speaker 5 (01:24:31):
Thank you?

thank you guys for joining us every day. And Steve,

Speaker 6 (01:25:41):
Yeah, you know, Junior had asked me at the top
of the show, Junior, do you remember your question.
Speaker 7 (01:25:47):
At the top of the show exactly how you asked it?
Speaker 1 (01:25:49):
Do you ever get tired of being the chosen Do
I ever get tired of being the chosen one?
Speaker 6 (01:25:57):
You know, that's all a question that a lot of
people have to grapple with because the chosen one doesn't
mean you're famous or well off. There's nothing to do
with that.
Speaker 7 (01:26:14):
It is the.
Speaker 1 (01:26:15):
Position that you've been elevated to that has you.
Speaker 6 (01:26:22):
As the one that people call upon, that people rely on,
that people depend on. You're the fixer in your family.
You're usually the first one to ever make it out.
You're the first one to gain position down at the company.
You're the first person with the title, the first person
(01:26:44):
with the college degree, the first person to become successful,
the first one in your family to open a business.
Once you have separated yourself from what's called the norm,
there are some people who will consider you different and special,
and you are you are, And because of this, you
(01:27:10):
become the target for everybody's wants needs. You know, all
of a sudden, you become an expert on advice. All
of a sudden, you become the go to person for answers,
You become the go to person for money. You become
the go to person to problem solve. You just get
(01:27:32):
that Monika, you get tagged with it, and you become
the chosen one. Now there are levels to it, of course,
but you are it.
Speaker 1 (01:27:43):
Now. Once you are it, you have to understand something.
Speaker 6 (01:27:47):
What makes me grateful about being the chosen one is
that I have discovered something in my life. The Bible
says that he will make you the lender and not
the borrower. That's one of the promises of God. Now
you think about that for a second. With all the
times you get tired of people coming to you for money,
(01:28:09):
ain't you glad you ain't the one that's got to
go to somebody for money. I would rather be the
lender than the borrower. I would rather be the person
who helps people with their problems than the one that's
always got a problem, because in being the chosen one,
you've obviously learned how the problem solved quite well. You've
handled conflict resolution quite well. You have managed to become
(01:28:34):
a person who knows how to perform under pressure. You
are a person who is prone to action as opposed
to reaction. So you're the chosen one. Do I get
tired of being the chosen one? Absolutely? But here's the
problem with being the chosen one, y'all. You don't get
(01:28:56):
to not be the chosen one. You know, you don't
get to give it back. Heavy is the head that
wears a crown. You don't get to take the crown off.
You just don't get to. It's a practice. But it's
what you worked for, it's what you've earned, it's what
you've deserved to be in your life. So get your
(01:29:17):
head up, put your knuckles in, your lower back, being
your knees, brace up, and deal with it because.
Speaker 10 (01:29:26):
It is what it is.
Speaker 1 (01:29:29):
And it's not going to change, And for it to change,
you would have to no longer be you?
Speaker 10 (01:29:36):
Now?
Speaker 1 (01:29:36):
Are you willing to give up that?
Speaker 6 (01:29:39):
Are you willing to give back all the blessings God
has given you, all the means, all the opportunities, all
the grace and favor?
Speaker 1 (01:29:50):
And answer to that is no. So where your crown
proudly you are the chosen One and deal with it.
Speaker 3 (01:30:00):
Is it hard?
Speaker 1 (01:30:01):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (01:30:02):
But guess what's also hard? It's also hard not being
the chosen one. I would rather be extraordinary than ordinary.
Speaker 7 (01:30:10):
That's just me.
Speaker 10 (01:30:12):
Now.
Speaker 6 (01:30:12):
There's nothing wrong with being ordinary. Please don't get me wrong.
I know some beautiful ordinary people. Some of my best
friends are what's called ordinary people. But that ain't my path.
That ain't my walk. My walk was different and yours
is different. Now are no people who have the exact
(01:30:34):
same footprints in the sand. You can try to replicate
somebody's footsteps, but I got news for you. That ain't
your path. And stop looking at somebody else wanting that
for you, because that ain't what it is.
Speaker 1 (01:30:48):
Do you know something?
Speaker 6 (01:30:49):
Comparison is the greatest thief of joy. If you want
to feel not joyful, start comparing yourself. If I looked
at and how much money Magic Johnson made versus what
I make. I could go somewhere and get sad about that,
or Tyler Perry made versus what I mean. I could
go geinst that Robert Smith makes more than me. I
(01:31:11):
could go gets that I can't tell how many people
make more than me. I could go somewhere and get sad.
Speaker 1 (01:31:15):
But I'm not.
Speaker 6 (01:31:17):
This is my walk, this is my path. It's okay
where I am, and you got to be okay with
where you are. Stop comparing yourself to other people again.
Comparison is the greatest thief of joy. If you want
to make yourself feel bad today, start comparing yourself to
everybody that's got more you. You finna have a bad day.
(01:31:43):
Gratitude affects your attitude, which is in direct correlation with
your altitude. Remember that it's okay to be the chilsen.
It's okay you do. Just find that you can't be
nothing else and you don't get to give it pack.
Y'all have a great day today. Talk to God you
would absolutely love to hear from y'all.
