Speaker 3 (01:55):
Come come out.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
You think that? Uh huh?

Speaker 8 (02:02):
I sure, well, good morning everybody. You're listening to the
voice come on dig me now. One and only Steve
Harvey got a radio show. I was had my head
down and it was thinking of what I wanted to
say this morning. But it kind of uh, it's kind

(02:24):
of be something I've lived for a long time, and
you know, for a long time, you know, I had
a lot of faith in people.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
You know.

Speaker 8 (02:33):
It's it's strange too because you know, you know, my
mother was a Sunday school teacher, so of course I
grew up around knowing, uh, scriptures and things like that.
Not not a lot of them, but you know the
ones I retained. But having her as a mother was
was a huge help and understand about faith. But even

(02:53):
with that, as I grew up, I began to put
a lot of faith in people, and you know, I figured, uh,
you know, just like everybody else, you know, man if
I could just meet this person, or if I could
just sit down with that person, or man if I
could just get this person to hear my ideal, or

(03:14):
man if just if this person could hear my track,
or man if I could just get this in the
hands of somebody in the know.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
I was, like everybody else, I thought that way.

Speaker 8 (03:25):
You know, I actually thought that if I could get
in a certain situation with a certain person, that if
a certain person were to meet me, that you know,
it could change everything for me. Oh man, Oh how
wrong I was? Oh how wrong I was? How long
did I spend feeling that way? And how many of

(03:45):
you out there possibly have felt that way before? You know,
like even in a relationship, this is the person for me,
and you know, you just lay claim to that, you know,
not necessarily being a fact, but you just lay claim
to it. This is the person and for me, this
is the person that I want to spend the rest
of my life with. You know, sometimes, you know, we
just lay claim and stuff, and it's not always what's

(04:07):
in our best interest, or it's not always a fact,
it's just what we decided we wanted. And I was
guilty of that, just like anybody else. And I spent
a lot of years in my life putting faith in people. Man,
if I could tell you anything this morning, it's to
stop putting your faith in people and put your faith
in God where it counts the most. I mean, you

(04:30):
can get something out of this one. See, here's a
deal about a relationship with God. It's the same all
the time. He never changes. His word is one hundred
percent absolute. His word doesn't have loopholes in it, none
of that. It's this is what it is. He's very clear. Now,
you can deviate off your end of a bargain, but

(04:53):
it don't stop what he says from being true. But
if he asked you to do something, if God asked
you to be a certain way, to do a little
something a certain way, and you don't do it that way,
then you know you could still possibly get by for
a while. But don't you understand that his end of
the deal stays the same, and as long as you're

(05:14):
not doing it the way you're supposed to, the results
are not going to be what you wanted to be.
And I did this for years and years and years,
and I counted on people, and you know, I got
myself in a lot of situations. And I got out
one a dire situation that I'd been in for a
number of years. But he had protected me from years
prior to that. I didn't even know what was going on,

(05:36):
and then he made it, made me aware of the problem.
And then, man, Lord have mercy, I was in a
dismal situation. And then at the end of the year,
I was free, free from it all. But it was
a decision that I had made that led up to that,
and in going through that process, I had to learn something.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Man.

Speaker 8 (05:58):
I learned a lot about people. See, if you want
to learn about your friends, if you want to learn
about your people people around you, Get yourself in some trouble,
get yourself in a situation, oh man, you start looking around,
man to feel get real clear when you're in trouble.
The feel clear is out. When you're in doubt, when

(06:19):
you don't know what to do, when you need help it,
get real clear on the play and field, then don't it.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Ah.

Speaker 8 (06:25):
But when things is going right, it's time for a party.
We throwing a celebration. We gonna we're gonna do one
down here. Oh man, there's plenty of people on the field.
But but but get yourself in a situation. You find
out rather quickly that oh no, oh no, everybody ain't here.
And that's when I started learning. And I'm telling you,

(06:46):
I had to start learning this for real until I
finally got it to stop putting my faith in people
and put all the mind in God where it counts
the most. Now is that to say that there are
people that you can't trust. No, that's not what I'm saying.
I ain't say you can't trust him, but you can't
dump your faith in them. I got it all riding
on what he say. I got it all riding on

(07:09):
what she say. No, no, uh uh no, I hear
you saying it. But I'm gonna keep my own this
situation because I hear you saying it. But I'm gonna
take this faith of mine and instead of putting it
in people, I'm gonna put it in God where it
counts the most. Because his word is absolute. What he

(07:31):
say he's gonna do, he gonna do what he says.
He's not gonna tolerate, He's not gonna tolerate. Now, you
can make it. You can make it tolerable for yourself,
but He's not gonna tolerate it. And that's just the
end of the line. And so you know, I'm wondering
how many people out there find themselves in a situation
like me. Or maybe you've gotten yourself in a situation
because you put your faith in some people and now

(07:52):
you wound up in a different type of situation. Now,
let me ask you where the people at The only
that I found when I was in my deepest trouble,
when me and my wife were in our darkest situation,
was God. It was the only one, was the only
one who was just right there, right there, all the

(08:14):
way through. Now, let me explain something to you. Because
you have this relationship with God, it does not mean,
it does not mean now that it won't get It
won't still be a situation, you understand. But what He
will do is protect you during that period. He'll cover

(08:37):
you during that period that it is a situation. He
will give you the strength to overcome the situation when
it turns into a situation. Then when he cracks it
open for you and the sun is bright and shining,
what he don't want you to do is when it
gets sunny again, to forget about him who was there
when it was dark for you. See, I used to

(08:59):
do that too, you know. I was Oh, man, I
did it. I'm telling you right now, I did it.
But I'm telling you man, when I learned a very
serious lesson and I watched some people I thought were
friends of mine just sort of casually remove themselves from
the situation.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
Then I said, okay. Me and Marjorie looked around.

Speaker 8 (09:21):
We said, okay, it's just me, you and God. And
when we started conducting ourselves accordingly. So when it's sunny
for us, we remember God. We stay prayerful, we keep
talking to him. We thank him for the sunshine, we
thank him for the dark days that he allowed us
to do, who allowed us to survive it and turn
it into sunny days. And we talked to him constantly

(09:44):
to protect us of our future enemies. And that's what
the deal is. So if I was everybody, I would
stop putting your faith in people and put your trust
in God where it really does count the most, it
really really does.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 8 (10:03):

want his little girl made up in all this extra
makeup looking older than she really is.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
That's a concern of his, you know.

Speaker 8 (23:45):
And so the fact that you're gonna be there with her,
I mean, that's a decision the two of you have
to come to though.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
But that's his concern, yea.

Speaker 8 (23:54):
And that really is his concern, and it's a legitimate concern.

Speaker 10 (23:58):
Right, And basically she's asked, does she need his blessing?
Should she go ahead and do it without his blessing?

Speaker 1 (24:04):
Does she need?

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Well, it's his daughter too, right, that's what you know, y'all.

Speaker 8 (24:09):

in the little girl's life. You know what's going on.

Speaker 8 (25:19):

my faith.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
I know that.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
I'm trying to figure out from you, Steve.

Speaker 8 (25:32):
Is it the way that I can find out is
if she feel in me?

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Yeah? That's what he wants to do. Now.

Speaker 8 (25:40):
If I was you, dog, this is what I would do.
I would find her on social media Instagram?

Speaker 2 (25:50):

Speaker 10 (25:51):
Yeah, So you want him to get with the beautiful girlfriend.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
It was love at first sight.

Speaker 10 (25:57):
He had dinner with his girling friend girlfriend.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
But I ain't going nowhere right. Everybody ain't for you.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
She's just his girlfriend, her friends, her beautiful friends.

Speaker 8 (26:11):
So now listen to me. If I get her information Facebook.
I g get in her dems and say, listen, I'm
just gonna keep it one hundred with.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
It was love at first sight.

Speaker 8 (26:29):
I I'm just telling you right now, I was sitting

Speaker 2 (27:04):
She's not very.

Speaker 8 (27:06):
I'm very comfortable because he had no concern about how
she feels. No, he didn't have no concern about how
she felt.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
Was Steve?

Speaker 8 (27:15):
Why would she trip? She talking about you flirting right
in front of my face. Yes, I'm in love with her.
What you want me to do?

Speaker 1 (27:24):
Men love beautiful women, all right? Moving on to Monique
in Indianapolis.

Speaker 10 (27:32):
Monique rites, I jumped on my husband's auntie after she
smoked a cigarette in my bathroom.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Okay, it's best clos ever.

Speaker 10 (27:41):
Yes, So she jumped on her husband's aunt. Her husband
sided with the aunt and said that she could have
handled things differently, that his wife could have handled things differently.
She said, he knows that I have asthma, so how
can he defend her smoking in our home?

Speaker 2 (28:00):
It ain't that lady. It's that you jumped on her.

Speaker 8 (28:03):
Yeah, that's the card, and you could have handled it
another way. Talked to her, how could you banned her
from coming over? Told her how inconsiderate it was. But no,
you went straight from zero to sixty.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
But this hide went though.

Speaker 8 (28:27):
She was going down the hallway and smelled the smoke,
and she she was standing in the hallway as soon
as Aunt Claire opened the door.

Speaker 13 (28:36):
Then her mouth, wow broke So smoking somebodyses, you don't.

Speaker 8 (28:50):
Nobody does that.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
Yeah, and if someone has as come on?

Speaker 2 (28:56):
But how hood are you though? When you knock on?
Knock out some? That was right?

Speaker 1 (29:08):
All right? Okay, last one, Steve.

Speaker 10 (29:13):
This is from Annalise in Leesburg, and Annalise writes, my
husband is a great cook and he takes his lunch
to work. I saw his coworker in the grocery store
and she said she really enjoys my husband's food. He
confirmed that he's taking food to her. So does he
like this chick?

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Or is he just showing off? What's going on here?

Speaker 7 (29:36):
Hell?

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (29:38):
What he likes her?

Speaker 2 (29:40):
He fixed her fool for.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Well, so he likes her.

Speaker 10 (29:47):
Oh and he didn't expect her to run into his
wife and tell his wife. Hell no, but why she
have to tell his wife she.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Likes y'all's messing.

Speaker 8 (30:02):
I really enjoy the stuff your husband be making for
me because I don't even have to bring my lunch
no more.

Speaker 2 (30:08):
DJ be cooking, web be sitting there. Oh it's Fanger
looking good.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
Oh all right, thank you, Philo. We gotta go.

Speaker 10 (30:22):
Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
some entertainment news for you right after this. You're listening
Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Well now.

Speaker 10 (30:34):
According to the Black Information Network, stephen A. Smith is
facing backlash after he condemned State Rep. Jasmine Crockett over
her criticism of President Trump. Stephen A said in his
podcast that Representative Crockett's approach is wrong, and he said
this this about her quote. I'm just going to go
off about Trump, cuss him out every chance I get,

(30:57):
say the most derogatory and scendiary things imaginable, and that's
my day's work.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
That ain't work end quote.

Speaker 10 (31:04):
Stephen A is receiving backlash after he said that because
keep in mind that President Trump.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
Has repeatedly said that State Rep.

Speaker 10 (31:12):
Jasmine Crockett has a low IQ and is unqualified.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
Wow, yeah, yeah, that's what he said.

Speaker 10 (31:22):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm just going to go off
about Trump cuts him out every chance to get say
the most derogatory things about him and scendiary things about him, imaginable.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
And he said, and that's my day's work. In other words,
that's what she does. That's her job, that's what she does.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
Ortizing.

Speaker 7 (31:37):
Yeah, he doesn't know, he doesn't know anything about Jasmin.
Jasmine is about her people. Jasmine is about the public.
Judsemine is out there defending everything about us, man, and
for him to sit there and say that he does know,
he doesn't know anything about her. If you sit back
and watch the track record of Jasmine and who she
is and what she was as a lawyer going into
this and being this, you will know exactly what Jasmine

(31:59):
is about. For Stephen to say that Stephen is really
off the record, I mean, he hasn't done his research.
And he's a person that is well known to do
his research. He hasn't studied this person at all.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Well said. And here's the other part.

Speaker 8 (32:18):
You as a black man, have to be very careful
about what you say about a black woman who is
championing or CAUs On behalf of the people.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
And sometimes it feels like she's the only one.

Speaker 8 (32:36):
Raised her voice to say something in opposition as to
what's going on. You have got to start taking into
considered rate. You gotta read the room. Look, man, you
can feel how you want to feel. My father in
law say this all the time. Just because you can
say something don't mean you should see. And these podcasts

(32:59):
me and Charlemagne was on ERN you les, you're talking
about this whole thing. These podcasts get more people in
trouble because you get off your radio show and your
TV show and you get away from the constraints of
the FCC. And now you're on this podcast forgetting that
you are still a walking, living, breathing brand. Yeah, and
now you're making statements about somebody else's walking.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Living, breathing brand.

Speaker 8 (33:25):
And you breathe out these comments because you're on a
quote unquote podcast, not realizing this gonna count in public sentiment,
just like what you say on ESPN or your talk show,
and on.

Speaker 10 (33:39):
This particular show, we have to reel you in all
the time because of your brand. Don't forget that, right,
But you.

Speaker 8 (33:45):
Know what, you ain't ever had to reel me in
I saying something crazy about black women.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
No, no, and you always always stand up for that part.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
See you can reel me now, y'all didn't reel me
in on some stuff out of see.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
It about everything. Yeah, but no, you you don't know
you you always hold us up. You always do.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
I saw something about, uh, you know several things. Y'all
have real men.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
But we don't have to. We don't have to go
over it.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
We're good. I could thought throw out some pointed examples.

Speaker 14 (34:18):
No, no, no, let's move on, ye pull up, pull up,
Iamala Harris now Jasmine and.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
I'm friends with I'm tired of texting him. We all
love Steven b Hey bro. When he did Therehanna come in,
I said, hey bro, this this ain't fit to work out.

Speaker 8 (34:44):
Good. Then the whole Navy, Air Force, coach Guard, everybody swam, Yeah,
they all swam in.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
It took his battleship down. Oh yeah. Then he said
something about uh.

Speaker 1 (34:59):
He did he just.

Speaker 5 (35:01):
Law?

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (35:02):
Yeah, Stephen a dog. I got to call him again.
I ain't calling you.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
Because he's not listening.

Speaker 8 (35:10):
He's not tied of babysit. Steven Ay, I'm your boy.
Come on, man, I can't and I can't.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
Even help you.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
Yeah, yeah, all right his.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Sister, This sister is so qualified.

Speaker 8 (35:24):
Yes, she's so high I Q. And she don't take
overnight to come back. She got it for you right down.
D Yeah, in the words on sight.

Speaker 7 (35:39):
She's not scared man's and she's saying everything we want
to say.

Speaker 1 (35:44):
And he's staying with her.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
We support and she's brilliant.

Speaker 9 (35:48):
Yeah, Steve Smith said anything about President Trump? Has he
said anything about the things that President's Trump has seen
about that?

Speaker 8 (35:57):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (35:59):
Great question And the answer I'm sure is.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
See that junior.

Speaker 8 (36:03):
See you probably need to loosen your baseball cap up
now because you're all up in it now.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Now you do.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
What Just a question?

Speaker 2 (36:12):
Yeah, a question. Though they said anything about Trump.

Speaker 10 (36:17):
Trump says whatever he wants. You could say it, jor whatever.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
I mean. He does.

Speaker 8 (36:22):
Man, that we're in a we're in a time we've
never been in before. We have a man that's in
the White House that we've never had the likes of before.
You may have thought the way he thought, but they
had the decency not to say it. He on the
other hand, he making comments about bad Bunny. He all

(36:45):
in the Super Bowl, he all on Taylors with album.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
Jail Kings Contract. Yeah, Stephen Colbert, Cobert.

Speaker 10 (37:06):
All right, well, coming up in twenty minutes after the hour,

she says she wants her kids to be a better

(38:14):
version of herself.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
Take a listen.

Speaker 15 (38:17):
I want you to be better than me. There's things
that I cannot do them I want my kids to do.
I don't know how to swim. I would love to swim,
but the one time I went to.

Speaker 16 (38:29):
A pool in Highbridge, there was a crazy fight that
broke out. People's getting cut left to right. So I
couldn't go swimming because I had no pool.

Speaker 15 (38:38):
If I have a pool, you're gonna learn how to swim.
You're gonna take your swimming classes.

Speaker 16 (38:42):
I'm not really good with my feet, so you're gonna
take dance classes because if you want to, if you
ever want to be a superstar, that's gonna be in you.

Speaker 15 (38:50):
That you would answer.

Speaker 16 (38:51):
I want you to be smarter than me, Like I
could read down, but my grandma's not that great. I
want you to be not perfect fake because you cannot
make your kids perfect, and you don't want you to
put pressure on your kids perfect.

Speaker 15 (39:04):
But I want you to be a hundred time better
version than me.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
I mean, you know, that's a great thing to say.

Speaker 8 (39:11):
You know, I'm not mad at that, That's exactly That's like,
you know, like if I want my kids to be
better than me.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
Grandma. That that ain't like really high?

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Yeah about that?

Speaker 8 (39:28):
You know, yeah, I would I say something. If I wouldn't,
I wouldn't have put Grammy in there, because to talk
better than me ain't gonna take hardly nothing.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
They've surpassed you, that one for sure. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
I don't know where she was trying to swim at though.
She's trying to swim. A lot going on that day
that knife fight broke out. Yeah, we ain't go back. Oh,
we ain't never try to go back again.

Speaker 8 (39:50):
And no, I went to That's why I don't really swim.
I went to Forest Hill Public Pool and everybody jumped
in the water. This big dude jumped in and held
them underfore Wow, everybody jumped in.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
That was his thing. That's what you're explained to though.

Speaker 8 (40:05):
Yeah, this big dude just jumped in. Everybody jumped in.
He jumped in behind your heel. You're under for a while.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Where was the life guard? He was scared of him.

Speaker 3 (40:16):
In his chair?

Speaker 2 (40:17):
What job die?

Speaker 7 (40:18):
Hey?

Speaker 2 (40:19):
Let me tell him.

Speaker 8 (40:19):
If you the lifeguard and you see ten people getting
held under, you want to be number to them. I
guess that lifeguard said, what if I jump in here
and I got who's gonna say?

Speaker 2 (40:30):
The rest of these people?

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Oh my god? Wow.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
Yeah, that was a nice car to beat.

Speaker 7 (40:36):
You know.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
What she said was she has good intentions.

Speaker 8 (40:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (40:41):
Also, she was talking about she doesn't want to hear
it from her kids when they say they don't want
to go to practice, they don't want to do all
these things, and she's saying the discipline. She's not letting
them not participate because they tired or did this and
there that.

Speaker 6 (40:56):
So I love that.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
I love that she's trying to push them to be better.

Speaker 2 (40:59):
I think all parents and we all.

Speaker 1 (41:01):

Speaker 1 (42:53):
How should he have found?

Speaker 8 (42:55):
Hey, Steve, my name is Eric Man. This I've been
following this show for a number of years. Pro I
had no idea you didn't know how to swim. Hey man,
I would love to offer you my services. I've been
a swim instructor for thirty years now. I've taken some
people who are afraid of water, and I absolutely turned
them into some wonderful swimming.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
So you can get out there and enjoy the water.
I don't come by.

Speaker 10 (43:18):

Speaker 2 (43:20):
See how you do for a little while. Let you
swim and.

Speaker 8 (43:24):
Washed your stuff throwing down. I jump in and get
you and pump, pump the water back.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
Out of you, and then we're going there again. That's
sound like he works some well, he was at his
other job, but.

Speaker 4 (43:37):
That he sounded like he failed.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
A couple of people, y'all talking like him.

Speaker 8 (43:44):
Hey hold on, hold on, I'll bello't over yet.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
It went without trying to.

Speaker 8 (43:51):
I have people of and I bring two three people

under one because I know you're kind of big. And
if I can't get you out of help two three

Speaker 14 (44:23):

what you want though.

Speaker 1 (44:32):
All right, moving on, Thank you Eric for the phone call.
Josh from New Orleans. Josh has a question.

Speaker 5 (44:39):
Hey, how you doing. I'm Josh from New Orleans. I
just had a question. What if such black refer back
to going to the Republican Party and maybe about forty
percent of us just train this is from Democratic to
a Publican party? How was that make to Republican Party. Look,
I know we probably won't be dominant, but we too
have big voice changing views. They make it harder for

(45:03):
the emotion. Justest wring something I thought about this morning.
All through the people like Jackie Roberton, look at Washington
or Hurt and people like that who are Republican for
less rise across my mind.

Speaker 2 (45:17):
Yeah, the Republican Party used to be different.

Speaker 1 (45:20):
It really was.

Speaker 8 (45:21):
But the Republican Party along the way had to change
and become something else. After the abolition, after the abolition
of slavery, it had to become something else. They had
to find a way to get control between the South
and the North, and because the South was so heavy

(45:44):
populated with blacks, they didn't allow them to vote. They
didn't have the power. So then they created the Republican Party.
Changed over the years. Now we can all go to
the Republican Party and adapt to their h yeah, yeah, yeah,
their platform exactly.

Speaker 2 (46:03):
And so now what do you have? I have more
comments on that, all right?

Speaker 10 (46:08):
Coming up, it is a nephew and the prank phone
call for today. Right after this cone falls, the comb falls.
You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
at the top of the hour, right about four minutes after,
it's my strawberry letter for today, and the subject is

(46:29):
why can't he talk around me?

Speaker 1 (46:32):
Why can he talk around me?

Speaker 10 (46:34):
We'll get into that find out what that's all about
in just a few because right now the nephew is
here with today's prank phone call.

Speaker 2 (46:42):
What you got for is nep chirrel, I got it
for you.

Speaker 7 (46:44):
This right here is hot chicks at the church. Oh
hot shake. If you're gonna write a check, now you're
gonna write a hot chick. Don't don't come on that don't.
Don't write it at church. Come on, now, let's have
a little more spitt Now. I didn't wrote some hot
checks in my day, but don't write now.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
What's that about? That means you asked I had cash
here check one time? That was a burst into flame.
It was so hot.

Speaker 3 (47:18):

member Greater Missionary Baptist Church.

Speaker 3 (47:47):
How can I help you?

Speaker 2 (47:49):

Speaker 14 (47:50):
Now?

Speaker 2 (47:50):
Did you?

Speaker 7 (47:51):
I know you paid your ties every Sunday? Okay, Now
you paid a love offering as well?

Speaker 6 (47:57):
Right? Yes, I do?

Speaker 2 (47:58):
Okay, Now this past Sunday, I'm looking at a.

Speaker 12 (48:02):
Check that you left us with the bank, right, right,
I sure did. I wrote a check Sunday.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
Okay. Now the check, ma'am was two hundred and fifty dollars.
Am I correct?

Speaker 3 (48:13):
Right?

Speaker 7 (48:13):
Right?

Speaker 12 (48:13):
I wrote two checks for my chies and the love offering. Right,
I wrote one for two to fifty for the love
offer Okay, Now what is this called regarding why are
you calling me?

Speaker 7 (48:23):
Well, what I wanted to tell you is that I
hate to be a very bad news, but your your
check that you wrote for two fifty actually has bounced.

Speaker 12 (48:32):
And wait a minute, you said my check bounce for
two hundred and fifty dollars.

Speaker 2 (48:36):
Your check bounced.

Speaker 7 (48:37):
So what I'm doing is calling you about recouping the
two fifty as well as you know you you cost
us thirty dollars.

Speaker 2 (48:46):
In bank fees back.

Speaker 12 (48:48):
Wait a minute, now, I wrote two checks. I wrote
a check for one hundred dollars. Did that one bounce?

Speaker 2 (48:52):
I don't see to it that that that one bounce.
All I know is the one that the love offering
has bounced.

Speaker 12 (48:57):
Well, did you put me in at the same time?

Speaker 5 (48:59):
Because I wrote them at the time they all go
in on Monday, ma'am.

Speaker 7 (49:03):
Now I didn't put them in at the same time.
I've been putting them in for the last two three years.
The problem is why would people write there, what is
your name, brother Deshaun?

Speaker 12 (49:11):
And you was at his Sunday?

Speaker 3 (49:12):
I was.

Speaker 7 (49:13):
I don't think it matters when I was there, ma'am.
The problem is is that I didn't put these checks in.
And I don't understand why y'all write these checks.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
To the checks knowing that they're gonna bob these checks.

Speaker 12 (49:23):
There's a lot of people righte good, well not write
bad check. Well one clear, why the other one didn't clear?

Speaker 2 (49:29):
Maybe you didn't have enough money for both of them
to clear.

Speaker 3 (49:31):
What did you just say?

Speaker 2 (49:34):
Maybe you didn't have enough money in the bank for
both of them to clear.

Speaker 12 (49:36):
I don't understand why people write these planning money in
the bank and all my checks clear. I don't write
no rubber checks.

Speaker 7 (49:43):
Well, you wrote one on Sunday, and that's the problem.
How you're gonna try to give a look?

Speaker 12 (49:48):
Wait a minute, I think you got to be confused
with somebody else. I don't write no bad check.

Speaker 3 (49:52):
You done wrote that to be nice to you.

Speaker 2 (49:54):
I'm trying to be nice to you. Win up. Can
we expect the two fifty plus the thirty dollars?

Speaker 12 (49:58):

Speaker 2 (49:59):
That's the bank feeds, ma'am for the dog on check bouncing.

Speaker 3 (50:03):
My check didn't bounced.

Speaker 12 (50:04):

you gonna pay me thirty dollars for calling me harassing
me about a two hundred and fifty dollar check bounce.

Speaker 7 (50:12):
I don't write no, why would you write check? You
want to sit up in the church and write these
big number checks when you know you ain't.

Speaker 2 (50:18):

don't write no bad check. And you got a lotors
calling me telling me my check bounce.

Speaker 2 (50:32):

And you tell you what you do since my check bounce,
you paid them, since you got all the money, And
don't call me with this again.

Speaker 3 (50:44):
Hello, don't you hang up on me no more?

Speaker 2 (50:47):
When are we gonna get this two fifty and this

the same church, and you gonna call me to my

Speaker 12 (52:15):
Whatever I want to know you know what I am,

Speaker 1 (56:49):
Let up, You're all lounge.

Speaker 10 (56:51):
Thank you, nephew. Subject why can't he talk around me?
Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm engaged to a man that never
talks on the phone around me. He won't answer the
phone in my presence, and he barely texts around me.
In the beginning of our courtship, I used to be
on the phone all the time, either facetiming my mom
or scrolling on social media. He cut all of that

(57:12):
out and said we need to be intentional with our
time together. He used to come over to my house
and leave his phone in the kitchen so it didn't
disturb us, and I love that about him. In the
past few months, he switched up his phone habits. When
he gets to my house, he's always on the phone.
He gets off as soon as he pulls up in
my driveway. I've been outside and seen it with my

(57:34):
own eyes. If he takes a call while we're out,
he walks away to talk on the phone and then
hangs up before he comes back to the table. We've
spent a lot of nights together and his phone is
nowhere to be found when I'm at his house. Like
I said, I thought it was sweet at first, but
after two years of dating, it's totally fine to be

(57:55):
on the phone around me. His mom is fussed at
him for not taking her calls. I want to talk
to his parents. He'll tell me to call them on
my own time. I don't want to create drama where
there is none. But you have to admit that it's
strange that my fiance gets off the phone whenever he
pulls up to my house and he gets back on
the phone when he's pulling out of my driveway. It

(58:18):
makes me think that he's hiding something from me. I
would go through his phone, but I never know where
he's hiding it. I'm also scared of what I might
find out. How can we be married if he can't
talk to his friends and family around me. Yeah, Well,
whoever he's talking to and whatever they're talking about, he
doesn't want you to know, or he doesn't want you

(58:39):
to hear it. Before when you guys, like you said,
were just starting out and all of that, he wanted
you to be intentional. He didn't want you to be
on the phone, and he didn't want to be on
the phone. He left his phone in the kitchen. So
I say, yeah, he is hiding something, which should not
be the case. Since you guys are engaged and you
have been for two years and you're you should be

(59:00):
getting married soon. You already know this is no way
to start off a marriage. There are just too many
secrets going on, and this is one thing that you
really don't like I say. There is something he's hiding
and he doesn't care how it makes you feel. At
this point, marriage is also about trust, you know that,
and what he's doing is making you lose trust in him.

(59:22):
You need to really look at him and consider what
your relationship and marriage is going to look like. If
he's doing it now, he's not going to change. He'll
do it when you guys get married. You're not going
to want your husband talking in secret around you. So
you got to think about this before you walk down
that aisle.

Speaker 8 (59:40):
Steve, Wow, lady, you know I try to defend me
in when I can. I really do, because sometimes you
all go off on tangents that have no factual bearing
at all. You're going off on something that happened in
your pay asked, and you bring that baggage into the

(01:00:02):
relationship and all of a sudden.

Speaker 2 (01:00:05):
Every man is just like that.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
And that's not the case, however, But.

Speaker 8 (01:00:12):
When you write a letter and I'm trying to find
you know what, let me help you. I always try
to find the redeeming quality in a man. If you
don't mention any redeeming qualities, then you give me nothing.

Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
To fight with.

Speaker 8 (01:00:29):
I want to try to help save relationships because a
lot of people break up too early. It's just really
a factual fact now because it's Instagram, instant coffee, instant relationships.
I get on this app and I'll find somebody I
know you're not know you're not all right, So let
me try to help. Why can't he talk around me?

(01:00:52):
Let me just answer that question first, because he don't
want you to hear what he said.

Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
That's why there.

Speaker 8 (01:01:00):
Are conversations I cannot have around Marjorie. I just can't
because there's some stuff I'm saying to my dudes that
she really don't need to hear. Because as dudes, we
have a certain way we talk around each other, and
it's acceptable and politically correct in our circle. But in

(01:01:25):
the general public, I could get canceled for every conversation
I ever have with my dudes that I grew up with,
because we don't have a cancelation culture. From one hundred
and twelfth Street, we boys, We them boys, and that's
how we talk. So I've gotten that out the way.

(01:01:49):
I can't say this one I'm talking about my relationship
me and my friends because I can't hear. I can't
say he won't answer the phone in my press. He
badly texts around me. In the beginning of our courtship,
I used to be on the phone all the time,
and he said we had to be more intentional with
our time together. He used to come over to my

(01:02:10):
house and leave his phone in the kitchen so it
didn't disturb us, and I loved that about him. Past
few months, though, he just switched up these habits. Here
we go, he gets to my house, he's always on
the phone. He gets off soon as he pull up
in my driveway and I'm outside, I'd have seen it
with my own eyes. If you take a car while

(01:02:30):
we out, he'll walk away, talk on the phone, then
hang up for he come back to the table. We
and n spend a whole lot of nights together, and
his phone is nowhere to be found when I'm at
his house. That means you have looked for it, nowhere
to be fine, But where is this phone at? I

(01:02:51):
think it's outside in the truck, That's what I think
it is. Been out to the garage. Have you checked
the back of the toolbox.

Speaker 10 (01:03:00):
You'll have heard two of your response coming up at
twenty three minutes after the hour.

Speaker 2 (01:03:04):
Today behind the paper time.

Speaker 10 (01:03:07):
Why can't he talk around me? We'll get back into
it right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 10 (01:03:47):
Come on Steve Let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject
is why can he talk around me?

Speaker 8 (01:03:54):
Here's the problem with this whole letter. They have been
dating for two years. She says she is his fiance,
and why can't he talk around me?

Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
Number one?

Speaker 8 (01:04:09):
Because you don't need to hear what he's saying. Number two,
he's having conversations that you may not approve of. Number
three and this is the hard one for women. This
is number three. Ladies, it ain't your business. That's a
hard one. That's a hard one, hard, hard one.

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
So now let's move on.

Speaker 8 (01:04:37):
When he used to come over to the house, he
would leave his phone in the kitchen, saying, our time
with each other needs to be more intentional. He stopped
you from social media, talking on the phone and going
on Instagram, and you love that about him.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
Well, he goes switched up.

Speaker 8 (01:04:51):
Now when he come over to your house, you see
him on the phone, you be in the driveway, He.

Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
Get off the phone soon as he get there.

Speaker 8 (01:05:01):
Y'all spend a lot of nights together, and you can't
find his phone nowhere.

Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
Something is on this phone.

Speaker 8 (01:05:14):
Something is being said into the mouthpiece of his phone
and coming out the ear hole on this phone.

Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
That you cannot be privy, period.

Speaker 8 (01:05:30):
So we have this letter that has a question why
can't he talk around Well, lady, why you think hes
talking on you? You say, but after two years of dating,
it's totally fine to be on the phone around me.
His mom has fussed him for not taking her calls. Now,
let me let me now, let's let's take that line
right there. His mama then fussed at him for not

(01:05:51):
taking her calls. Now, let's go down to the bottom
of the line, bottom of the house. You said, how
can we be married if he can't talk to his
friends and his family around me? Let me just put
it to you out here, point Blake, because he ain't
talking to his friends and he already don't take his

(01:06:15):
mama call. Who don't take that mama call? What man
don't take his mama's call? That's the call you got
to take because something could be wrong. He ain't taking
his mama's call. Your question is if he can't talk
to his friends and family around me. Well, because he

(01:06:39):
ain't talking to his friends and his family. Mama that
says she doin't He don't even take her call?

Speaker 2 (01:06:44):
So who is he talking to?

Speaker 8 (01:06:45):
You can't say he talking to his mama. She don't
take his call. I can't help this man. He talking
to some women. He talking to some women. And what
he said to this women you can't here. And when
his phone rang, when y'all out, he get up and
walk away because he taking calls from them women, trying

(01:07:08):
to make it like he got a regular life.

Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
Now y'all fin to get married.

Speaker 8 (01:07:14):
You're going to be married to a man that has
a lot of secret phone calls.

Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
Hey baby, let me apes, hey, let me hit you back,
let me hit you back. Come busy here, she's here.
I can't talk right now. That's okay.

Speaker 8 (01:07:33):
So any questions, ladies, anybody questions. I can't help this dude.
I can't help him. I can't help Let me ask
you this, Okay. It sounds like, of course he yes,
he is talking to other women. But why would he
be doing that and he's engaged? Just a basic question, why.

Speaker 1 (01:07:56):
Would he be doing that? He's been engaged for two years?
What is going on?

Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
Why would he be talking to another woman that he engaged?

Speaker 6 (01:08:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:08:05):
I just wanted just a basic question.

Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
Well, how else is he gonna have a chick on
the side.

Speaker 1 (01:08:15):
Answer? But you know, some people are like, dang, we're engaged.

Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
Why would he you know, right, why would he be.

Speaker 10 (01:08:25):
Talking to someone else? They've been engaged for two years
and he's changed so much. I mean at first he didn't.
He said, let's be intentional about our relationship. Let's leave
our phones and now right, you know, now today, don't
god intentional? Or he learned all he needed to learn.
He needs somebody else?

Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
Wow?

Speaker 9 (01:08:46):
Yes, Junior, h Okay, I think he talked to the
check on side. But can you tell us where he
taking all these phone calls at?

Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
In his house?

Speaker 9 (01:08:54):
Where's he been taking these phone calls at? Because he
can't talk in front of where is he? A?

Speaker 2 (01:08:57):
Yeah, he go outside in the backyard.

Speaker 3 (01:09:01):
He on.

Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
He on the other side of the tree in the.

Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
Backyard, so he's hiding and talking.

Speaker 2 (01:09:08):
He on the other side of the tree. I can't
see him.

your immune response to fight off certain respiratory illnesses like
flu new Macaco, pneumonia, RSV, and COVID nineteen this ball.

Flecko to the Cincinnati Bank and he will be starting
this Sunday against the Packers.

Speaker 4 (01:11:03):
So does that mean that shador getting one step closer?

Speaker 8 (01:11:11):
Well, I told y'all what was gonna happen this This
cat is gonna get his shot. He gonna get his shot.
And you know that's all to it. It's just God
works in mysterious ways. You never know how it's gonna
pay him, just.

Speaker 2 (01:11:24):
Have to hang out.

Speaker 4 (01:11:24):
You hurt that Joe Flacko, go, is you hurt?

Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
Bouck that No, hurt hurt because he's got y'all only
win here. It ain't but one.

Speaker 9 (01:11:36):
And they traded him in the division, So that mean
y'all gonna have to play against him.

Speaker 8 (01:11:41):
And it's the first trade the Browns and the Bengals
have had since nineteen ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (01:11:47):
We have not made a trade with each other in
twenty six years.

Speaker 4 (01:11:50):
That that's how serious y'all is about the rival. Y'all
don't even trade.

Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
Wet the Bengals.

Speaker 8 (01:11:58):
Paul Brown, who had the Cleveland went there and started
to be took our colors orange and white them our colors.
Get them our colors don't. Yeah, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns.
See Cleveland Brown c B. Cincinnati Bengals c B. Took

(01:12:23):
our colors, all of that orange and white, put it
we got brown. He went on there and just made
it black. That's ugly.

Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
We hate them.

Speaker 8 (01:12:37):
I see that hate I'm talking about. I'm talking about
a nasty hate. This ain't got nothing to do with sports.

Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
I got sports.

Speaker 8 (01:12:48):
We hate them as a people. The people well say
about your team. It's about your city, your male, your
wama down there, all of y'all.

Speaker 2 (01:13:05):
Were all y'all just pure hatred.

Speaker 1 (01:13:10):
Wow, did you know that you're No.

Speaker 4 (01:13:13):
I've never heard of saying nothing like that. I didn't
even know that.

Speaker 10 (01:13:15):
No.

Speaker 14 (01:13:16):
I thought Cincinnati and Cleveland had love for each other
in the same state of Ohio.

Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
No change at the bottom of it. They're at the
bottom of the state Ohio.

Speaker 8 (01:13:30):
Yeah, they really Kentucky. Let me tell you something. Cincinnati
Airport is in Kentucky.

Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
That's how they are. Okay, your airport, you brought you.
I didn't even know.

Speaker 10 (01:13:50):
All right, all right, thank you you and you're coming
up at the top of the hour. A man on
social media needs some advice Steve. He says his girlfriend
still lives with her ex. We'll talk about it right
after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
All right, this is some BJ on Steve HARVEFM. BJ says,

(01:14:13):
I've been dating a woman for about four months and
she still lives with her ex. She swears they're completely done,
but she says neither of them can't afford to move
out yet.

Speaker 1 (01:14:24):
What bothers me is that she hasn't told him about me.

Speaker 10 (01:14:28):
She says she just doesn't want to make things any
more awkward than they already are. He says, I've even
thought about asking her to move in with me, but
my friend and says she's using me and that they're
probably not really over. I want to believe her, but
am I being naive?

Speaker 2 (01:14:48):
Look?

Speaker 8 (01:14:49):
Bro, if your girlfriend still lives with her ex, yeah,
that's y'all's girlfree. Yeah, yeah, that's not that's not that
that that's not your girlfriend. That's y'all's girl.

Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
They're sharing the fact that she has not told him
about you.

Speaker 8 (01:15:18):
It's how I know it's still that's y'all's girlfriend, because
if he don't know about you, you're trying to tell
me he ain't sleeping with her.

Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
Were in here, Yeah, we're in here. We've been sleeping together.
Now all of a sudden we ain't. Why why now
you think about asking her to move in with you?
That you can't do nothing?

Speaker 1 (01:15:45):
No dumber than that, don't do it?

Speaker 2 (01:15:50):
Hey, bro, why don't you go get a woman that
don't live with another man?

Speaker 5 (01:15:56):
Wow?

Speaker 8 (01:15:59):
That's raised And it's a lot of them out there,
and they're wonderful women. It's some incredible women that's available
that could be yours. You ain't got to get another
You don't have to get another man's woman, because there's
so many women out there wishing they could be wifey
material or have a monogamous relationship.

Speaker 2 (01:16:23):
You in a you what they what they call Yeah, yeah, yeah,
you k neel. Yeah, but it's just y'all, y'all. Yeah, you.

Speaker 4 (01:16:44):
Yep, bruh, bru.

Speaker 2 (01:16:46):
Just go get you somebody that's yours.

Speaker 1 (01:16:48):
Yeah, they've been dating for four months.

Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
Man, we too date. Yeah, and he don't know it.

Speaker 8 (01:16:55):
He gonna roll up somewhere and follow her car, and
you're gonna have a problem, partner. Yeah, how you dating
a woman? You can't go over her house? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
She said, neither one of them move because.

Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
They can't afford it yet.

Speaker 6 (01:17:18):
And she pop, Okay, this man will say anything anything.

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
That is a but, but listen to me. That is
an entirely poor mentality.

Speaker 8 (01:17:39):
You break up with a man, you still live there,
you're dating another man, you sleeping with you telling this man,
you ain't gonna tell your old boyfriend about him, because
it'll make it even more complicated.

Speaker 2 (01:17:54):
Yeah, he gonna have something to say. Yeah, see that's
a pole mindset.

Speaker 1 (01:18:00):
Yeah, but instead he wants her to move in with him.

Speaker 2 (01:18:03):
That's stupid though.

Speaker 3 (01:18:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:18:06):
Really so when she started packing up to leave, what
is she gonna take? And the dude, no, she ain't
got the money to go. Where are you going? I've
been to move? What with my new man? What new man?

Speaker 7 (01:18:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:18:26):
How long you been leaving? Four month for foemoss? He
don't care. Come on over here, come on, come over
here and see what he got for you. Yeah. Yeah, bro,
you fitted this shot? Get out here? Yeah, yea yeah,
that's how you get shot. Not good, that's how you
get shot. All right.

Speaker 10 (01:18:46):

Speaker 9 (01:24:46):

planning and hard work to get into doors.

Speaker 4 (01:24:50):
Didn't make that house a home. Now, all that effort
has built something hugely valued, equity. It's the portion of
your home you truly own that can be tapped to fun.

day on this Thursday.

Speaker 10 (01:25:18):
It's been a fun day. Thank you guys for listening
as always. Congratulations again Steve on your forty years.

Speaker 1 (01:25:27):
Awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:25:28):
That's crazy.

Speaker 8 (01:25:29):
I would like to my close remarks is just a
letter just about thankfulness and gratitude. First of all, to
a young kid that works for me out in La
named Jason. Do I know his last name?

Speaker 2 (01:25:42):
Of course not. I have no idea what his last
name is.

Speaker 1 (01:25:47):
Okay, okay, but he's.

Speaker 8 (01:25:49):
So talented with videos and editing and cutting and putting
together social media content. All my team put together. Him
and Christelle put together a tribute to my anniversary, which
was October eighth, nineteen eighty five. October eighth, nineteen eighty five,
I walked into Hilarities comedy Club. I won fifty dollars.

(01:26:14):
I went to work the next day, October ninth, and
quit my job and made the announcement to my family
and friends. I was gonna go be a stand up comedian.
I had complete and other pushback. Absolutely no one agreed
with me. Two people agreed with me. The most important

(01:26:37):
was my father. My father said, boy, if you think
you can make it, gone get out there and get discuffling.
That was his exact quote. Slick Harvey said, gone and
get out there and get discoffling. Because if I could
have done my life over, I'd have done something like that.
You only little wants gone take a crack at it.
My mother disagreed. You got a family, you got them kids,

(01:26:59):
you got a job, keep making that check, take care
of your family. Only other person supported me was his
brother from Cleveland named Russell Middlebrooks. Russell said, yeah, go
for it, man, you funny.

Speaker 2 (01:27:13):
It held me. Then my other friend said, well, he
gonna need more than you to think he funny if
he gonna make it. So that was my entry level
forty years ago. By the grace of God, I made it.

Speaker 8 (01:27:28):
Now I was looking at this montage they've created for
me that's starting to go around a lot of people.
Kirk Franklin texted me yesterday and said number forty goat.
He said, thanks, uncle. So it's people are starting to
see this montage. But I was sitting there and the
montage made me cry because I forgot so much of

(01:27:51):
this stuff because a lot of this stuff was long
before phone cameras existed. You know, people just found food
Man of Me at the improv me my first night
on showtime at the Apollo. That was my very first time.
That was the eye joke. All of that, everything stemed

(01:28:12):
from so many things, and I was just looking at it.
But I thought about what made me emotional was see,
I know the backstory behind all those pictures that kept
coming up. I know exactly where I was at that
particular moment, and a lot of those moments I was
having on stage. It was some dog stuff going on
in my life behind the scenes that nobody knew about.

(01:28:35):
It was some life changing decisions that I had to
make behind the scenes that nobody knew nothing about. It
was some decisions that I had made that hurt myself
and some people along the way that nobody knew about.
And it led me to understand something else about God.

(01:28:56):
When you ask God for something, he'll give it to you.
He will not reveal to you the cost. Because if
God had shown me everything I would have had to
have gone through to get to where I am today,
I would have changed my request because I just wouldn't

(01:29:16):
have had it in me to say, Okay, I'm willing
to do that. I'm willing to do this. So he
just honest the request. He don't show you the requirements.
But it's those requirements that cost people they dreams. So
I'm saying all this to say this to anybody that's
trying to accomplish forty years of anything, or twenty or
get to ten. Don't give up, no matter what happens.

(01:29:40):
Don't give up. Don't you dare give up.

Speaker 2 (01:29:45):
Don't quit. If you quit, you'll never know what God
had in store for you.

Speaker 8 (01:29:52):
But if you can manage to hang in there, if
you can manage to keep putting one foot in front
of the next, if you can keep get to your
house and lock that door at night and cry about it,
pray about it, take a shower, rest, sleep on it,
do whatever you gotta do, and by the grace of God,

(01:30:12):
he wakes you up in the morning, that's a sign
from Him that he ain't through with you yet. So
just try to get one foot in front of the other.
Sometimes you can't even get the other foot in front
of the other. Sometimes you just got to be steal. Sometimes, man,
it's going so dark for you. You don't know what
step to take.

Speaker 2 (01:30:32):
Just be steal.

Speaker 8 (01:30:34):
Sit there, whisper his name, hold yourself, rock back and forth.
I had a many nights in that car, a many
nights and days in that car when I just held
myself and I was rocking back and forth, tears coming
down my face. Man didn't know what to do. I

(01:30:55):
just said, Lord, if you wake me up in the morning,
I just keep on trying. And I just the grace
of God, I kept trying. I will give myself credit
for one thing. I just never gave up. That's the
only credit I can give myself. I just never ever
gave up. I somehow kept the faith. I relied on

(01:31:19):
Bible verses, scriptures. My mama was sending me. I just
never gave up. You do your part, He'll do his,
But you cannot quit. I don't care what happens. Don't
you dare give up. Those are my closing remarks today.
Thank you all for forty years of support. Some of
y'all remember all the way back to the forties. Some

(01:31:40):
of y'all got on the truck at ten twenty fifteen.

Speaker 2 (01:31:43):
Whatever.

Speaker 8 (01:31:44):
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I appreciate y'all.
Man farty, more fart and mold.

Speaker 2 (01:31:50):
That's all I need. Thanks, and gentlemen, talk to God today.
The absolutely love to hear from you.
