Speaker 7 (01:06):
Love you?

Speaker 1 (01:10):
You ogelone.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
You gotta turn well, got to turn the mouth, turn
my probably got to turn the mouth, the turn out, turn.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
The money, looking me, come me come out. You think that?

Speaker 8 (02:01):
Uh huh, I shure, well a good morning everybody. You're
listening to the voice. Come on digny now, one and
only Steve Harley got a radio show. I want to
share something with you this moment.

Speaker 7 (02:15):
In order for God to bless you, you have to
you have to have something you know and and and
that means I guess, I guess what I'm saying is
God can only bless you by your faith and your effort.
It's the only way He can bless you by your

(02:35):
faith and your effort. Now, because of his grace, he
gives us so many things that we don't even we
don't ask for, we don't thank him for, you know,
we don't even have on the list.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
You know.

Speaker 7 (02:50):
Oftentimes, you know, many of us have health, we never
thank him for We get another opportunity to wake up
the next day, we never thank him for it. We
take so many all things because of his grace, we
just take for granted, like it's just supposed to pop
off for us, just like that. Okay, including that, what

(03:12):
all this wonderful things he does us? And he blesses
us even far beyond our wildest dreams. I'm talking by
myself now us and a lot of you listening, without
us confiding or conferring in him. He still watches over us,
watches over us. I'm talking to all of us. Here
is what you get blessed on through your faith and

(03:35):
your efforts. I mean, he really gives you, give him
something to work with. This what I'm saying, He's gonna
do certain things for us automatically because he just loves us.
He automatically does things for us that we take so
for granted that a lot of people are not experiencing because.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Their time is up or whatever. I don't know the.

Speaker 7 (03:56):
Reason, but whatever the case, but he does so many
things for us automatic. Imagine what could happen to you
if you just gave him a little bit to work with.
Ever thought about that suppose this idea that's been burning
on the inside of you, suppose you just started it
today and don't wait to start an idea so you

(04:19):
can figure it all the way through, because you'll never
get started.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
You know.

Speaker 7 (04:24):
It cripples so many people because they think of how
to start their business. Then they look all the way
down the road and the loans they gonna need, and
they don't know nobody, and they care they bad, and
so they stopped.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
They never started.

Speaker 7 (04:37):
What would happen had you ever thought if you just
started do the part of the business that you could do,
and ask God to lead you and guide you to
the next step, that that thing called faith, the belief
in things that you cannot see. Suppose you just started
out on faith, You just stepped out the water, stepped
out the boat and stood on the water, just on faith,

(04:58):
seeing that as well, but just believing that He would
take care of you, just believing that He would get
you through through, just believing that He would lead you
to the next step.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Start.

Speaker 7 (05:10):
If you just started now, you would then give God
something to put his finger on and to bless. People
say to me, all the time, man, man Steve, it
seemed like everything you do work.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Man, do you know what it is?

Speaker 8 (05:24):
Really?

Speaker 1 (05:26):
I just lose the fear of failing and I start
I don't know how to do all of this.

Speaker 7 (05:33):
Come on, man, if I could have told you ten
years ago or there's no way I could have told you,
I'd be why i'm today.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
But if anyone had come to me and.

Speaker 7 (05:42):
Said, Steve, in ten years you will be doing this, that, this,
that and the other, they will recognize you here. You
will get this recognizable recognition, you'll get this award, and
you'll be living like this.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
I'd have just looked at them like they was crazy.
I really would have.

Speaker 9 (05:58):
Man.

Speaker 7 (05:58):
It's not that I didn't have the faith. It's just
that in my imagination I didn't see it. I've always
believed in God, I just didn't see things for myself. See,
I didn't open myself up to what God had for me.
I was just living my life based on what I
could see for me. When I stopped worried about what

(06:21):
I could see for me and started allowing God to
do what he could do for me, it changed my
whole existence because I found out that God's plan was
way better than mine. But you got to start something.
You got to give God something to put his finger
on that might's touched where it turned into something. You

(06:42):
got to let your imagination go. You got to let
your imagination fly as wild as it can fly without
being constricted by the confines of where you live and
what color you are, and what sex you are, and
how much money you make and what your degree say.
You got to let your imagination fly beyond that. You
got to go for it. You got to step out

(07:04):
on faith and you got to go for it. Oh
and did I mention you got to pray? Don't want
to lead that out? Then you got to seek understanding. Man,
read Proverbs. Proverbs is a great book to start with out.
You know, I guess other people got other worse I'm
just telling you about me. Man, this is probably some
better places to start.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (07:24):
Proverbs was to start for me, the book of wisdom
and understanding that helped develop my thought process, which helped
me become fairly successful. Proverbs teaches you everything you need
to know. And if you can't read the King James version,
get you one of them translated Bibles. What difference it
makes long as you hear what he's saying to you. Oh,

(07:46):
and did I mention? Don't forget to pray and then
take the idea, the business, the journey you want to
embark on and break it down inch by inch anythings
and sich just start with the peace that you can do.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Okay, you don't know how you go get the loan?
When it's time for the loan? What part can you?
Can you design the business card?

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Can you?

Speaker 7 (08:09):
Can you make a YouTube video and post it? Can
you start telling people that you're associated with this is
what you do now? You could start somewhere. You can
get a gig somewhere doing something. Somebody will pay you
for the service right now, and then simplify it, take
it and break it down to the lowest common denominator.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Qut trying to figure it all out? Simplify it? What
can I do now? I can't figure this out. It's
too complex, it's too difficult, there's too many levels. Quit
tripping on that.

Speaker 7 (08:38):
Do the part you can do, but start, man, Just
get started today. Stop delaying it. Every time you put
it off, you seen further away from it, don't you.
Why won't you start? Let your imagination go open it up?
You know, if you can't imagine, God show can Einstein

(08:59):
said it one time, he said that imagination is everything.
It's the preview to life's coming attractions. Is that crazy?
Is that crazy? Do you know that everything we do
somebody imagined it? But do you know when they imagine
if somebody laughed at them? Man, I'm gonna make a
car that you can sit on it and will automatically drive,
and the wheels a roll. Who gonna do that? Okay,

(09:22):
here we go. We all ride in cars. Man, I'm
gonna fly. I'm gonna make something that will take people
far away in the air. People board flights every day.

Speaker 6 (09:33):
Man.

Speaker 7 (09:34):
Somebody sat up there and looked at that moon and said, man,
one day, I'm going to the moon. He talking about
going to the moon. They take people to the moon
all the time. Imagination is everything. It's the preview to
life's coming attractions. Or are you imagining for yourself? What
do you see coming? What's your coming attractions? I'm so
grateful I change mine. Oh I see being because I

(09:56):
see God. Come on, y'all.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
And gentlemen, we're back again. All thanks to God Almighty.

Speaker 7 (10:04):
Just to be back again, that deserves a rondem applause
for God Almighty.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
I'm talking about, man, how good is God?

Speaker 9 (10:12):
Really?

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Really? A amazing Thank you, Dave Roda applause. That's for God, everybody.

Speaker 7 (10:19):
Steve Harby Morning Show, Shirley Strawberry is off today, Carlin
Farrell Mississippi Monica Junior is off today, and the legend
that is nephew Tommy.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Well, Shirley's off, best voice.

Speaker 7 (10:34):
In all the radio is gone. Junior is off today also,
and so now we're here. Normally I would say, Junior,
what's on your mind today? But Lord, man, I ain't
asking him that today, because Lord, that would be that
would be down a pathway, slipping into.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Dog may.

Speaker 1 (10:59):
Anyway out today? Man? Old school had a song for everything. Yes,
wha slipping into darkness? That was war?

Speaker 10 (11:14):
Yes, yes, what if your nephew have?

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Don't just say if your nephews well, okay, here we go.

Speaker 9 (11:21):
Question.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
I mean, Tommy, you got anything on your mind today?

Speaker 9 (11:26):
I do.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
It ain't it ain't gonna hurt you.

Speaker 11 (11:31):
You know, family, family and and and families as falling out,
don't get in it, don't get back together. The tension
that that it, that it creates whenever we do come
around each other. How do you handle family fall outs man,
How do you fix them?

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Do you do?

Speaker 1 (11:48):
You do?

Speaker 6 (11:48):
You do?

Speaker 11 (11:49):
You jump in and try to fix it, because now
it's gotten to the point where we got we got
let's just say we got we got some relatives, my
wife got some relatives. Ain't spoke in six months, and
it's it's getting stronger and stronger and strong.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
Don't have them at your house. That's your advice.

Speaker 7 (12:13):
Tell you right now, do not have them at your house, okay,
and and and tell me why, because you can't put
him out. It's hard to put people out. There's arguing,
you know, because it's if the women in there they
trying to fix it all this he is, So don't

(12:34):
have them at your house.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Now.

Speaker 7 (12:35):
What you could do is separate them, invite the better
half of the family that's involved in the dispute, so
you could try to uh narrate and negotiate what do
they call it?

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Mediate?

Speaker 7 (12:51):
But you don't want to have them both there and
and they know they both coming, or they don't know
one of them is coming.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
That's not what you need. So just have one side
of the family come.

Speaker 7 (13:03):
That's the cooler side and the one that you all
have decided that has the right way, because most.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Families know who's the right way. Yeah exactly.

Speaker 7 (13:13):
Yeah, So you know they wrong for that because once
I'm gona tell you something, Man, when people get together
and they will create a narrative amongst themselves that makes
themselves one hundred correct yep, because they ain't talking to
nobody but their self, yep.

Speaker 10 (13:30):
Dropping that knowledge.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Family beef early this morning, Okay, coming up at thirty
two minutes after the hour, the nephew is back.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
He's gonna run that prank back right after that. Ye
you're listening, Hardy Morning Show.

Speaker 11 (13:48):
On August sixth, getting ready to laugh all the way
to the bank with The Pickups, the hottest action movie
of the summer coming to Prime Video. Eddie Murphy stars
as an armored truck driver with his rookie partner Pete
Davison as they forced into a multi million dollar heights
led by none other than your girl Keeth Palmer from
Tim Story.

Speaker 1 (14:06):

Speaker 11 (14:07):
The Pickup features an all star cast including Eva Longoria,
Marshawn Lynch, and Andrew dice Clay. The Pickup come in

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Some Now to run that prank back?

Speaker 10 (14:18):
What your got nephew.

Speaker 11 (14:20):
We down there with them. Praise dancer. Y'all, y'all get
on one accord. Okay, I just can't take me.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
They are one accord at church. I think it's a limit.
I think it's a limit caller. We'll praise.

Speaker 11 (14:32):
I think praise dancing man about thirty. I think we
are the you know, an age limit to praise. Yeah,
you need to find a new ministry after you just
you can't. You know, it's a limit on praise. Then
after thirty say okay, I'm gonna give you thirty five
after that. But when I see a fart of some
of your old praise dances, it's that's yeah.

Speaker 10 (14:52):
Y'all tell people what age to be the serve on
the ministry you got.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
At some point you have to move on to the
usher bowl. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 9 (15:01):
You have to.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
And await limit and praise dancers. Let's go cat don.

Speaker 6 (15:09):
Hello, this is the day that the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be glad. And how you doing?
I'm looking for uh Stania?

Speaker 9 (15:16):
This is Tania.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
This is brother Puller from the church.

Speaker 9 (15:19):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Oh, I'm with my brother, so how are you?

Speaker 6 (15:22):
I'm good I'm good. We wanted to give you a
call about the about the praise dancing that's at the church.
First of all, I wanted to really show you how
much you're doing a great job over there with the
praise dancers and you you definitely do a great job
on happy third, tell you that you guys actually perform.
Everybody seemed to really like it.

Speaker 5 (15:40):
Well, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 6 (15:41):
What can I do for you today? There is a
bit of a situation with you know, it's been brought
to our attention. We actually had a small gathering, a
little meeting about it and wanted to I've been elected
to actually give you a call. Who I'm sorry, who
are you kids? Brother Puller, uh huh and and who
had a meeting uh some of the brothers at the

(16:01):
church and uh path to actually sat in for a
moment on it. And I was actually elected to actually
just give you a call. Nothing that I don't think
we can't get rectified and and you know, move on
smoothly as.

Speaker 9 (16:13):
We normally do.

Speaker 6 (16:13):
But I just think it's we wanted to reach out
to you and kind of make you aware of it.
If it's if you don't mind, okay, and what things
are those well, sis Antonia? Has any of the praise
dancers before they became praise dancers?

Speaker 9 (16:30):
Was? Was?

Speaker 6 (16:32):
Was any of them strippers?

Speaker 9 (16:35):
I beg your pardon?

Speaker 6 (16:36):
Was any of the praise dancers that at the church
that you have on the praise team right now? Was
any of them strippers in the past?

Speaker 4 (16:45):
I'm sorry, sir, I don't I don't really know who
you are, and I don't really understand this line of questions.

Speaker 6 (16:51):
Like I said, I'm brother full I don't think we've met.
But uh, like I said, I've been elected to give
you a call.

Speaker 7 (16:56):
Not now.

Speaker 6 (16:57):
It seems what happened is this past week when you
all actually danced, it seemed like a couple of the
girls was actually GI raiding during the praise routine.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
Say what girating, brother Phillip. I don't know who you are,
and I don't know what you saw. None of my
girls with GI rating, they would.

Speaker 5 (17:15):
Dancing for the Lord.

Speaker 4 (17:16):
And I think if you look through your lord's eye,
perhaps you would see them better instead of maybe you
were looking through the GI rating eye. No, see a
couple of the girl we.

Speaker 6 (17:25):
Can pull them out. A couple of them half stript
girl tendencies up and then because some of them have been.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
Trimp girl's tendencies. You know what, sir, I think we
need to complete this call. Perhaps I need to call
Bishop and speak to him myself, because you know, I
don't know what you do all day, but I have
a real job, and I'm sitting here holding a conversation
in my office about Ji rating strippers in the church.

Speaker 6 (17:47):
Are you kidding me? Well, listen, now here's a couple
of other things that they're talking about. Some of the
girls seat or real ask you when you all are
performing and they wanted to see it. Maybe you can,
you can.

Speaker 9 (17:58):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (17:59):
Maybe I don't know if y'all need to grip or
whatever that y'all don't. Y'all don't put lotion on. We're
not sure what that is. As well as the totnail pology,
everybody has three, four, five different designs and everything is it? Anyway,
y'all can be in unison with your totnail pology. But
the most important thing hell the jib rating doing the
dance routine. I don't know what your feet look like.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
I don't need you calling me talking to me about
my girls their feet, their nail pology. Perhaps your man
should be on Jesus instead of on them.

Speaker 5 (18:29):
How about that?

Speaker 6 (18:32):
Mind, I don't have time.

Speaker 5 (18:33):
I don't have time.

Speaker 6 (18:34):
I want to be on Jesus when somebody's shaking their
butt at the church. Now that's the problem.

Speaker 9 (18:40):
You know what.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
Look, I'm at work now, I'm trying to keep a
work tone.

Speaker 6 (18:43):
You're gonna make me hurse up here and let me.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
Tell you something.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
Don't call me anymore.

Speaker 6 (18:47):
I will deal with pastor.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
If he has something to say with me, he can
say it to me personally. But I'm done with this conversation.

Speaker 6 (18:52):
Are you gonna deal with the JI rating? Is what
we want to know?

Speaker 9 (18:56):
Maybe you know what?

Speaker 2 (18:58):
It just hit me.

Speaker 6 (18:59):
Maybe you want of the ones that's doing the grub rate.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Look, let me tell you something. My girls ain't doing
no jot rating.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
And neither am I.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Now I am done with this conversation.

Speaker 6 (19:07):
Do you understand you? But listen, I'm done? Are you
done with this? All?

Speaker 5 (19:10):
Right?

Speaker 9 (19:10):
Rating?

Speaker 6 (19:11):
That's what we want to stop so we can We
can't praise the Lord if the booty is to shake.

Speaker 9 (19:16):
You know what?

Speaker 6 (19:17):
Shirt, Look, I gotta go to work.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
I gotta go now again. I don't know what your
issue is. It sounds to me like you have an
issue with gut rating booties. I heard so much joy
rating booties on one conversation in my entire life. Now
my mind is set on Jesus. I don't know what
your mind is set on.

Speaker 6 (19:32):
What's to tell you? Before you was the praise dance
a ministry over the ministry? Did you ever used to strip?
Y'all didn't do no stripping? Now did you want to
do any stripping? Did your mamma do any stripping? You
heard what I said? How are you asking to somebody call?
You would ask you if your mamma did some stripping?

Speaker 9 (19:50):
How you like that?

Speaker 6 (19:52):
You know what I want to know? When is the
next rehearsal? Then the way I can come and pick
out who it is that's doing this time?

Speaker 4 (19:57):
You don't You don't have any visits at my rehearsal.
I want to see you at my rehearsal. I don't
want to.

Speaker 6 (20:02):
I don't want to see any plight.

Speaker 5 (20:03):
For you in my arse.

Speaker 6 (20:04):
If I say, you never one of my girls. That's
why I'm coming after you myself. Do you understand me?
You need to find out who's doing that job? I
don't know a thing you need to tell your buddy, y'all,
And I'm glad y'all. Ain't dancing when the lat is
being pains because I ain't no telling her you act
with them? One is coming through that you know what.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
That's it.

Speaker 5 (20:19):
That's it.

Speaker 6 (20:20):
You call me disrespecting me. I met what. I can't
even have this more? You know what? Don't call me
no more? Still look at my girls no more? Man,
fast come down to church and see what I got
for it. I don't want to know if you gonna
stop the job rating it moving? Who ain't you talking
to like that? You're supposed to be a good Yeah,
let's have done. Listen and tell you now.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
I'm getting ready to joubt.

Speaker 6 (20:43):
Well, I got one more pain to say to you.
Ford you lead. You ain't got a thing to say
to me. I said I was dealing, and I said
I got one more pain to say?

Speaker 9 (20:50):
Is you listen?

Speaker 6 (20:50):
You know what? Man, get off my phone, and I'm
gonna say it anyway. This is nephew Tommy from the
Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your entire praise and in the
strict congregation, all your girls got me the prank phone
call you. Oh, I'm a shoty for real.

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Oh oh, I'm think I'm person on the radio. Oh
oh oh right, be coming on show.

Speaker 6 (21:17):

Speaker 3 (22:35):
In Sad News out of Hollywood, actress Lannie Anderson has

Speaker 10 (22:40):
So we'll talk about these stories at the top.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
But right now it's time to ask the clo You ready, Steve,
see ready, all right, here we go Trinity in Lake Charles.
She says, I'm moving in with my older sister and
she hates my boyfriend. I don't say anything about who
she dates, but as the big sister, she judges everything

(23:02):
I do. I am thirty one years old. So should
I have to sneak around her or should I stand
up to her?

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Well, you ain't got to do either one. But let
me tell you what. He can't come over there though
her house, right yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
yeah yeah.

Speaker 7 (23:18):
You ain't got to sneak around, but he can't come
over there, and you can't expect her to allow him
in the house.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
If you know she don't like her.

Speaker 7 (23:27):
You can't bring him to her house. That's rule number one.
Now you ain't got to sneak around. Because you're thirty one.
You can openly date the guy. But hopefully he got
a house, cause he can't come over there. When he
come to pick you up, he can call you and
let you know he outside. He can come and meet
you at the door and walk you to the car

(23:47):
and open your car door and put you in and
shut the door and drive off. And when you get
back from the date, he can get out the car,
open your door, walk you back up to the house.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
He can't come in. Big sisters not like him. No, No,
that's how I don't let nobody in my house. I
don't like no bad all. I don't care who you are.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
All right, all right, moving on to there you go, Trinity,
Moving on to Melissa and Jacksonville dou ball.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
All yup.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
My son's tutor told me that she won't be able
to come to our house anymore because my husband makes
her uncomfortable. She's almost sixty, so I doubt my husband
came on to her. He laughed and denied it. Should
I take her seriously?

Speaker 1 (24:38):
She foined them. That's all. That's a fine sixty dough
let me tell you that right now.

Speaker 10 (24:45):
She shut up something.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
It a ma'am, and she's smart. I know a rithmetic that's.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
What he laughed at off and deny it and deny it.
This is what Melissa and Jacksonville said.

Speaker 7 (25:05):
Well what he got to deny it? That that's obvious.
But right what is it that the woman is saying?
She made the feel is he staring at her?

Speaker 6 (25:16):
You know?

Speaker 10 (25:16):
No specific in this from Melissa.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
My son's tutor told me that she won't be able
to come to our house anymore because my husband makes
her uncomfortable.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
She didn't say what exactly he is doing. Well, well,
she not coming to the house no more.

Speaker 7 (25:31):
Now if you're not gonna find out what's making her uncomfortable,
then your question was should I take her seriously? Well, yeah,
you have to take her seriously because we're in a
culture now where anything can turn into a lawsuit, So
you have to take her seriously. But I think to

(25:51):
keep your family together and to keep everybody safe, just
get another tutor. Yeah, yeah, because if the woman is lying,
you don't need up around your family no more. And
if she telling the truth, yeah, you don't need up
around the family no more.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
So the boy gonna flunk for a minute. Basic, Yeah,
he'd be all right, though, I got a lot of else,
I got a lot of made look at you now? Yeah?
Everything where about? Else said? He gives them else he coupled.
How old is the boy here? A tutor?

Speaker 3 (26:28):
Well he needs a tutor? Yeah, you know, so, hey,
he'd be all right. Maybe you find another place to tutor, like,
I don't know, library or.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Something like that. Anyway, moving on Rico and Trenton, New
jer Zy.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
My wife and I heard our fourteen year old daughter
on the phone cursing out a boy that rubbed her
butt at school. I think my daughter gets a pass
for how she handles the situation, but my wife wants
to punish her.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Should she be punished or praised? Punish her?

Speaker 7 (27:02):
Hey, tell me who the little boy is, right, so
I can go up to the school and talk to
his daddy. Yeah, see, that's all that is. You know
what you want to punish her for? Cause let me
tell you something your kids is cussing when you ain't around.

(27:23):
Is was at mcgradson's basketball game. Uh huh uh BJ
a couple of weeks ago. Oh, by the way, they
won the championship, UDJ and the team job and they
get they get rings when they wear win ring. Everybody
get a ring and a trophy. And the rings are heavy.
They look like NBA rings, you know they have they

(27:46):
fake diamonds, of course, but they real heavy. They got
weight on them like a real wing. I was going
and here in third grade we won the elementary school championship.
When I was in sixth grade, I got a patch.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Anyway back to iron on patch.

Speaker 7 (28:06):
So anyway, that's in the seventies. Dog dogs that was
in his sixties. Seventies.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
Come on, help Rico. Should they punish the girl or no?

Speaker 7 (28:20):
I don't think you should punish the girl. But I
think you all need to realize your kids are talking
a little bit different. I had his basketball team down
at the ranch for his birthday, and boy, I drove
up and they didn't know I was there. Boy, they
was out there letting him fly ifew little And you
don't know nothing.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
All be sent up.

Speaker 7 (28:42):
You run around right here, And why you can't dribble
h you sent up in there? Tell me you better
get out of my l faith. You don't know who
you mess with. You're about to beat something up in here,
I'm going all right. I was impressed. I was, you
will be you know, you know you're not walked in
and tried to be his grandparent.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
Hey watch your language. Language.

Speaker 7 (29:04):
But then as soon as I got their attention, I said, nah,
good all you little molse get over there on.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
That other side.

Speaker 7 (29:11):
Stupid, you're all out here. Oh my god, my daughter,
Hey man, my daughter, Carly said, she.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
Said, Dad, so embarrassed. Daddy? All right, So rego and Trenton.
You know, y'all shouldn't punish the girl, all right, moving
the girl. She probably caught it like her mama, cuss, mama,
do it?

Speaker 3 (29:33):
Uh? All right, let's move on. Last one, Kelvin and Philly.
I kept my kids this past weekend, and my ex
wife went to Ohio with her new husband for his
ten year old daughter's birthday party. My kids are eight
and eleven, and they're wondering why they weren't invited. Is
it my place to talk to my ex wife about this? No,

(29:54):
the ex he kept his kids.

Speaker 7 (29:56):
And then you know, yeah, yeah they may not. Y'all
them to them kids may not get in there. Y'all
ain't a blended.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Family, So you don't think he should talk about.

Speaker 7 (30:07):
Yeah, yeah, you're not a blended family. If what of
y'all would have to be date have to be living together?

Speaker 1 (30:12):
This doesn't matter. You ain't going to the parky Okay, never,
you ain't going to the war next year?

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Okay, coming up talking to y'all. Entertainment's gold, that's gold.
Look you're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show. So according to
Yahoo dot com, stephen A. Smith has clapped back at
former First Lady Out Forever First Lady Michelle Obama after

(30:41):
she mentioned him on her podcast last week. She said,
in part quote, if I listened to ESPN for an hour,
it's like watching the Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Speaker 10 (30:52):
You know, it's the same drama. They're yelling at each other.

Speaker 6 (30:56):
You know.

Speaker 10 (30:57):
She went on about that. So then stephen A. Meth responded,
take a listen to his response in.

Speaker 12 (31:03):
Part, I adore and love practically everything about you and
who you are and what you represent, what you mean
to this country, what you mean that so many young
ladies in this world. What an incredibly motivational and inspirational
figure you are. And I feel even more adamant about
what your husband, Barack Obama said when he talked to

(31:25):
those men in Pittsburgh and implied that to not vote
for Kamala is because we're engaging in some sort of misogyny.
There are issues that matter to every American citizen, and
it sort of blackmail us emotionally into trying to compel
us to vote one way or another.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
It's part of what won Trump the election.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
So that was part of stephen A's response. It was lengthy,
but that was part of it. So what do you
guys think?

Speaker 10 (31:53):
I just I don't know.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
I don't think.

Speaker 11 (31:56):
I don't think everything needs to have a response to it.
I don't think you are always got to say something.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
He could have just let that go, yeah, because it
wasn't nothing.

Speaker 7 (32:04):
Everything don't but but his I don't know, he must
add some something else to say because that wasn't connected
to what she said at all at all.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
Well he and he said he respectfully disagreed with I
guess her opinion about the show first take, or.

Speaker 7 (32:21):
Well, you can't disagree with the person's opinion. Listen to me, man,
My wife don't like the show.

Speaker 10 (32:28):
She don't like all that Holland Yeah, it's a lot
of Holland on.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
She don't like all that Holland it's like Michelle Obama
is correct, it's a lot of yelling.

Speaker 7 (32:37):
Brouh and it's a lot of women go why he's
so angry, Why his rains in his forehead? Why it's
just sports about sports? Yeah, you ain't in there interview
in Laziskian hoton. So you know, sometimes man, you you
just don't have to comment on everything. Yeah, how much
you love her and respect her? And what Barack Obama

(32:59):
did with the men in Pennsylvania and how what that
got to a All she said was watching Sports Center sometimes,
like watching the Real Housewives of Atleanta.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
It's just drama and yelling, right, And she did say
Stephen A Smith. She did mention his name.

Speaker 7 (33:18):
Well, that's who be hollering. She ain't wrong, she is
not dog. Sometime I don't call my boy because I
don't feel like that. Sometime we be talking, i'd be gonna, hey, man,
bag it down a little bit. I've done first take.
And you know what I said that Stephen At one
time he was just talking. I said, hey man, hey,

(33:42):
this first take, this ain't just your take, right, Remember that.
I remember that I said that to him. Man, you
just be talking like you just the voice of it.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, So he felt the need to respond
to that. I just I'm with you, guys, you could
have left that alone.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
That was that big of it.

Speaker 7 (34:01):
Just relax you acting like Trump now upset? He comment
on everything.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
Yes he does. Yes'.

Speaker 7 (34:11):
He mad at Bruce Springsteen. He's a low talent guy.
Bruce Springsteen.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Bruce Springsteen, he met dogs, one of the biggest, the Boss,
the Boss.

Speaker 5 (34:25):
He's the.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Bro, he said, low talent guy. I went, wow, the
Boss Bruce Springsteen. Wow.

Speaker 9 (34:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (34:35):
He's also mad at our radio brother, Charlemagne.

Speaker 1 (34:38):
He went in on him.

Speaker 10 (34:39):
So all right, let's switch gears and other entertainment news.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
A glittered rhinestone sock that Michael Jackson ward during his
performance of Billy Jean back in nineteen ninety seven recently
sold for about eighty nine hundred dollars at a French auction. Now,
according to The New York Post, how we know that's
the sock?

Speaker 10 (34:58):
How we listened? This is what the New York Post
is reporting.

Speaker 3 (35:01):
The white and studded sock with crystal ringstones was discovered
by a technician backstage at Michael Jackson. You remember the
History World tour back then so the sock was preserved
in the frame for twenty eight years, and so it
sold for about eighty nine hundred dollars at the auction

(35:22):
of the King of pop Items.

Speaker 6 (35:23):
Here.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
Yeah, bout that out about it? You'd about the sock? Hell?
Eighty nine hundred? Would you have warned?

Speaker 9 (35:31):
No? No, no?

Speaker 1 (35:31):
But it is a lie? A hand with it though?

Speaker 6 (35:35):
What lie?

Speaker 1 (35:35):
What would you have said?

Speaker 10 (35:36):
Why you got a live about Michael Jackson's glitters.

Speaker 7 (35:39):
I was out of Mike House one night and I
had bought these old hookahs out there for him, okay,
and he had got nked in the back. Oh, and
I found the socks that he had on, because he
had the socks on while he was with the girl.
Then the sock fell off, and that sock fell off,
and I kept it and this it but just the
same sock. Though he wore the Billy Jean video because

(36:01):
she said that's what she came out there for. So
I knew this was it all right. So here's a
question for you, Steve.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
This question for Steve, which article of clothing would you
have auction off or would you auction off from your career?

Speaker 4 (36:16):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (36:17):
I auctioned off.

Speaker 7 (36:18):
I had the jockey strap I had on the last
time I dunked the basketball.

Speaker 11 (36:22):
Yeah, I thought you would say the yellow soup from
your special, you know that was legendary.

Speaker 10 (36:31):
What about the soup from the Kings I got?

Speaker 7 (36:34):

Speaker 1 (36:35):
I got the Kings of Comedy suit. Yeah, that I wore.

Speaker 7 (36:38):
I got the yellow suit and I got the suit
I wore my first HBO special.

Speaker 3 (36:43):

Speaker 1 (36:44):
So how much? How much? How much you think you
can get for the King suit? Michael Sock went for
eight nine thiuves Hell, Yeah, that wasn't nothing, but the sock.
I got the whole suit. I probably take it. Yep,

you're currently trying to convince your spouse that you want
to buy?

Speaker 10 (38:27):
In Part two?

Speaker 3 (38:28):

to an argument?

Speaker 1 (38:33):
Or what I try to do it with? I had
known it, that's what I try to do. That's wait,
how do you do that? How do you do it? Yeah?

Speaker 11 (38:40):

First of all? Who got a credit card? Got thirty
thousand dollars?

Speaker 13 (39:11):
That's A and B You do that part problem segment.
It's a limit to what I can spend without discussing
it with them. Right, we have like me and probably

Speaker 1 (39:28):
How much can you spend with and it ain't no drum?
Can you spend a hundred? Yeah, okay, spend one hundred
in a different world, a different tax I got see.

Speaker 7 (39:39):
But we have those minimum for bank accounts I've been

Speaker 10 (39:45):
One more time dropping on people's in case.

Speaker 7 (39:47):
We have we have an account that nobody can touch.
It's a savings account. Wise both of our signatures to
move a single dollar out of it. We have our
household account where we put the money in that covers
all of our light bills, electrical house payments, anything like that.
So so we make sure for and then Marjorie has

(40:09):
her own account and I have my own account. Every
month she gets an allowance, and every month I get
an allowance. Her allowance is more than mine. Wow, because
she spends a different thing. She buy for the grandkids
and all that.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
I don't do. None of that.

Speaker 7 (40:25):
All mine is for me. Now I had to pass
on an item, and she was surprised that I passed.
She said, I thought you was just gonna go on

Speaker 1 (41:29):
Come on?

Speaker 10 (41:30):
What's your most frequent lie?

Speaker 11 (41:33):
My most frequent lie? I tell you that if I
just told you, whyout? I just why I tell you
a lie? I just tell her.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
If I just told it, it's still in effect right now.
I have one I use all the time. Thank you?

Speaker 5 (41:51):
You know?

Speaker 7 (41:52):
Okay, For example, if you call my phone, you know
how it comes up, and you had that little message
thing over there that you can customize.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Yes, yeah, you can't pick up the phone. You're doing
something or whatever. I just hit that. You know, I
have messages to go out. I'm on the zoom.

Speaker 7 (42:09):
I don't be no matter if you get one of them,
all all four of them customizations.

Speaker 1 (42:17):
I'm on the zoom. I don't I'm on the zoom.

Speaker 7 (42:21):
Text me, I can't talk. I don't recognize the number.
Oh and I got one more. Yeah, but I'm hitting
one of them.

Speaker 1 (42:35):
Okay, now my lie like that, Uncles, I'm at my
son gang is too live? Text me? Okay, you don't
want to pick up?

Speaker 3 (42:44):
Okay, you guys frequently live about phone calls. I don't
want to talk to people every day every day.

Speaker 7 (42:53):
Well, Michael, I'm sorry. Yeah, you're on the zoom talking
about it. That's how I got what something?

Speaker 1 (43:00):
Yeah, you send that to us. You're coworkers. Well I'm not.
We're not gonna talk. So what difference do it make?

Speaker 7 (43:06):
What I say?

Speaker 1 (43:08):
And we need to talk to you moving on? I
just text h when I need to tell him something.
That's it.

Speaker 10 (43:14):
That's all you can do because he's not gonna pick.

Speaker 1 (43:17):
Up the phone. Nog.

Speaker 7 (43:18):
I got stuff I'm doing. I'm like sometimes I'm just thinking.

Speaker 1 (43:24):
They care.

Speaker 10 (43:26):
All right.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
Here's another one.

Speaker 3 (43:27):
What's a myth about men? That's one hun untrue and
it makes you mad whenever you hear it.

Speaker 1 (43:36):
Once a cheatah, always a Cheatah. That just ticks me off.

Speaker 7 (43:40):
Man.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
So that's not true. No, that's not true. I don't
know why y'all don't understand this thing about cheating.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
Explain it.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
First of all, every.

Speaker 7 (43:53):
Man has cheated somewhere somewhere down the line before he
met you. Something something, And that's how we learned. Because
you pay for something, you lose something along the way.
You lose trust, you lose a person, you lose companionship, friendship,
and you learn. And but I've said this on the show.

(44:15):
I can't tell you how many times. All men can change,
all men will change. But there's only one woman we
will change for, and when we meet him, we will
give up all all the foolishness. That's the one I
hate that women say.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
That's some man.

Speaker 10 (44:33):
All right, Okay, Steve, what about your nephew?

Speaker 1 (44:35):
You got all men, all men with big hands and
feet is blessed? That's a lie.

Speaker 11 (44:42):
I'm a little guy. I'm blessed. I'm a little guy.
I got little hand lift here. I'm still blessing that
that didn't say that.

Speaker 7 (44:49):
But I beg to different about what you just said,
seeing it's how you ain't got big hands of.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
Sound like hate to me the struggle. Okay, here's a
lot of stuff, y'all. Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.

Speaker 10 (45:11):
What's something that you don't like or enjoy but wish that.

Speaker 1 (45:15):
You did something I don't like or enjoy, but wish
I did something I don't like? Yeah, but you wish
you did.

Speaker 7 (45:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (45:26):
That's a good crush. Yeah, that's a good one. Because
if I don't like it, I just I don't like it.
I ain't I if I don't like it. I don't
like what I wanted for. Well, that's fair. You can't
think of anything I wish.

Speaker 11 (45:43):
I like black Jack, but I don't know what the
hell I'm doing when I'm sitting there, I don't. I
can't enjoy that. That's then I sit on the end
and I'm messing it up for everybody else.

Speaker 7 (45:51):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (45:51):
I don't like that.

Speaker 7 (45:52):
I wish I loved everybody, but I don't. I don't
know how I'm getting to Heaven with that attitude.

Speaker 10 (46:03):
Coming up next, nephews on freak phone.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
I'm explaining to do when I get to that gate cap.
I'm with you. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
Coming up at the top of the hour.

Speaker 3 (46:20):
Right about four minutes after Shirley left us was one
of her favorite Strawberry letters. The subject is Yeah, fight
or flight. This is one of her favorites. But right
now the nephew is here with today's phone call.

Speaker 1 (46:35):
What you got, nephew.

Speaker 11 (46:36):
We headed back to the church, called it. We headed
back to the church again. Yeah, you know, you know
I love the church. We grew up in church. Me
and I grew up in church, and we're there every day,
every other day. We grew up in the church house.
But that's right, that's starting to bother me. When you
go to church, of course, you know, maybe you ain't
been in a couple of days, a couple of a
couple of weeks, and they I just don't like it

(46:58):
when I don't get no notetion that it's a guest past.
I guess, I guess you know that preaching where is
Ain't nobody told me nothing? I want my money back.
I want my money back. He's preaching from the Book
of Ruth. Don't nobody preach from Ruth?

Speaker 6 (47:14):
Lo?

Speaker 1 (47:14):
What you doing? Man? What is all this? Where is
the regular past that? I ain't come in here for this?

Speaker 11 (47:20):
I got all dressed up and got here at ten o'clock,
and now past ain't here. And here I hear the
guests past here preaching in front the book of Ruth?

Speaker 1 (47:28):
Who do that?

Speaker 6 (47:29):
Who do that?

Speaker 11 (47:30):
I need my money back? I'm calling the church and
I need my money back. Let's go catch dog. I
want my money back.

Speaker 9 (47:35):
Hello, I need to speak to sister Policia.

Speaker 5 (47:38):

Speaker 9 (47:40):
That's right? Here is Glen? All right? This is Glenn?
I need this is brother Glen. Can I speak of
suster policia? But I have some please?

Speaker 5 (47:46):
Okay, sir, how did you get my number?

Speaker 9 (47:49):
I got your number from one of the deacons at
the church.

Speaker 5 (47:51):
Okay what deacon was that?

Speaker 9 (47:52):
I don't even know the deacon name. I listen when
I'm trying to ask you, I'm trying to ask you,
can you reimburse me for some money that I put
in church on Sunday?

Speaker 5 (48:01):
Okay? Well, can you just calm down just a little plea? Sir?

Speaker 9 (48:04):
I I'm look. Are you the financial person at the church?

Speaker 3 (48:07):
Yes?

Speaker 9 (48:07):
I am soo.

Speaker 5 (48:07):
What can I do for you?

Speaker 9 (48:08):
I'm trying to get my money back that I put
in church on Sunday. I put one hundred dollars in
church on Sunday, and I'm trying to get my one
hundred dollars back.

Speaker 5 (48:17):
Okay, what did you not give from your heart?

Speaker 9 (48:19):
I gave from my heart what I thought was gonna happen,
but it didn't happen.

Speaker 5 (48:23):
Okay, help me help you what you mean what didn't happen?
What didn't happen?

Speaker 9 (48:27):
Sir? Okay, Pastor wasn't there. Pastor was not there on
Sunday and y'all had this guest minister come in who
I ain't like him at all. But the dog on
the offering was before he even got up to preach,
so I didn't already gain my offer, which was one
hundred dollars, and then I didn't even know Pastor wasn't.

(48:49):
Now you know what I'm saying. So here I am
giving one hundred dollars. I'm thinking, I know I'm gonna
get the word when Pastor there. But y'all put this
dude up. He's coming from Don't nobody come from the
Book of Roots.

Speaker 1 (49:00):
No, mo.

Speaker 9 (49:01):
He was at Ruth Leviticus. He was all over the place.
I want to get my one hundred dollars back. I
ain't giving to that, sir.

Speaker 5 (49:08):
Do you not read the bulletin? I mean, how often
do you even come to church?

Speaker 9 (49:11):
I come to church often. I mean, what dos got
to do with anythiing?

Speaker 5 (49:14):
W if you were come a little often to read
the bulletin, so you would have known that Pastor took
a vacation.

Speaker 9 (49:20):
He took a vacation, so so everybody knew he wasn't
gonna be there.

Speaker 5 (49:24):
Yes, sir, the regulars, the people that come regular to church.

Speaker 4 (49:27):
They know that, sir.

Speaker 9 (49:28):

need to get I need to get my money back.

Speaker 4 (49:32):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (49:32):
What I need you to do, though, is calm down.

Speaker 9 (49:35):
I'm come. I'm just trying to say I want to
get my one hundred dollars. I'm not giving that sermon
I got on Sunday. I'm not giving one hundred dollars
for that.

Speaker 5 (49:43):
Well, Sir, I cannot give you one hundred dollars back. Okay,
we donna do no refund checks. I can't do that. Okay.
I have to wait to pastor to get back in
because two people have to sign the checks. I can't
even do that for.

Speaker 1 (49:52):
You, sir.

Speaker 5 (49:53):
Matter of fact, I'm not even at work right now.

Speaker 9 (49:55):
Okay, sir, am I gonna get my one hundred dollars back?

Speaker 5 (49:58):
Okay, sir, why don't you just call the church on
tomorrow and then we can go from there.

Speaker 9 (50:02):
Okay, I'm not calling. I'm not calling the church tomorrow.
I tell you what, you know what, you know what
I'm gonna do. I'm gonna come up there tomorrow and
you're gonna give me my one hundred dollars either. It's
in a check or it's in cash. But you, smister
sister for Alicia Patterson, you're gonna give me my money?

Speaker 5 (50:18):
You say, what did you just cuss me?

Speaker 9 (50:21):
I just told you that come tomorrow, I'm coming up
there to get my one hundred dollars. Whether it's in
a check or whether it's in cash, I don't care
what it is.

Speaker 5 (50:30):
He let me care you something, sir. You ain't getting
nothing from us. I doubt you call here and cuss
me asking.

Speaker 9 (50:37):

heart and doesn't not a whole off that preaching the
word of God. You give because you love God. You

Speaker 14 (56:44):
Subject fight or Flight, Fight or Flight, Dear Stephens, Shirley,
I'm a thirty year old flight attendant, and I'm married
to a forty four year old professor. I met him
when I was in grad school and we started dating
after I got my degree. He was going going through
a divorce and we kept our relationship private until it
was finalized. He has a seventeen year old daughter that

(57:06):
found out on social media and she started a lot
of chaos in our lives. She didn't show up at
our wedding, and it devastated my husband. He was upset
that his ex wife allowed her to skip the wedding.
I was over her by that time, so I didn't care.
Now she's about to turn eighteen and asks if she
can come live with us in Florida and attend a

(57:28):
fashion school. I never answered my husband, and he eventually
flipped out on me and made the executive decision to
allow her to come. I fixed up our home office
for her, and I moved my desk on to our
sun porch. I was so irritated. She has been here
four months and she has done exactly what I knew
she was going to do. Now, when she's got an attitude,

(57:50):
I leave and go to work. I take any flight
available so I can get away from this girl. My
husband and I argue because he says I'm not a
positive model for her. She's a grown woman to me,
and she's got parents that failed her and allowed her
to disrespect grown people. I told my husband that if
she pops off at the mouth one more time, I'm

(58:11):
going to pop her. He says I need to learn
how to be a parent, and I told him I
will as soon as he makes me one. I would
rather work and deal with the plane full of needy
passengers instead of dealing with the grown child. My husband
told me that my fight or flight mentality is ruining us.
He can't see that his child is divisive and honoring.

(58:33):
Am I wrong or does he need to put her out? Absolutely? Yes,
I think you're wrong. I do think you're wrong on
so many levels. Here I'll tell you why. It's simple.
You are the adult. You keep calling her a grown woman.
You keep saying she's grown, but she's really still a child.
You're grown when you can pay your own way and

(58:55):
when you can take care of yourself, and she's not
doing that right now. She's in your home, living off you, guys,
she's living with you, guys. You're also grown when you
can face your problems head on. But what do you
do You run and jump on a flight and as
you say, deal with the plane full of needy passengers
rather than trying to fix a problem at the house.

(59:16):
And yes, it is a problem because it's causing you
and your husband to argue. Now why would you let
that happen? You too should prevent present a united front
to his daughter, making it impossible for her to come
between you guys, because that is what's happening, that situation.
You all are allowing to let it come between you.
Stay home in the midst of all this and handle

(59:38):
your situation. No more jumping on planes when you can't
deal with it anymore. I say, first you and your
husband should talk agree on some basic house rules. Then
a family meeting should be called to let the daughter
know about the new changes. And again, remember you and
your husband are on the same team, and you guys
are the adults. I mean, she needs to see that
you guys are together her dad, but he's your husband,

(01:00:01):
which means it's your house and your rules. So as
you know, she's welcome as long as she abides by
the house rules. I mean that means no attitudes, no
popping off, at the mouth, no disrespect of any kind.
And let me say this, if she pops off at
the mouth one more time, you're gonna pop her.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
Don't don't pop her. That's not what this is all about.
Don't do that.

Speaker 14 (01:00:24):
I mean, you know, she's angry, she's she's trying you
and all of that, trying to come between her.

Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
But you don't have to take it there. You can
be the bigger person here.

Speaker 14 (01:00:33):
You can invite her to lunch, you can do something
fun with her, you know, and try to make peace
with her, and like your husband said, be a role
model for her. I think you should try that before
you give up on this situation and start, you know,
popping her and all that all together.

Speaker 1 (01:00:49):
Steve, Wow, this is gonna have a couple of twists
and turns.

Speaker 6 (01:00:56):
And I.

Speaker 7 (01:01:00):
Agree with what She'll was saying about the letter. The problem,
the real problem here is in the letter writer. That
seems to be the real problem.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
Now you're a.

Speaker 7 (01:01:10):
Thirty year old flight attendant and you're married to a
forty four year old professor.

Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
Now see, I want you to understand something.

Speaker 7 (01:01:18):
The news got out some kind of ways because this
story got told because somebody knows he was your professor
at the school. I met him when I was a
grad school and we started dating after I got my degree.
He was going through a divorce and we kept our
relationship private until it was finalized. He has a seventeen

(01:01:42):
year old daughter that found out on social media and
she started a lot of chaos.

Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
In our lives.

Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
Well, the daughter found out what on social media that
you all were dating or you all had gotten married.

Speaker 7 (01:01:56):
I think she found out y'all was dating, so quite naturally,
her and the mother are now blaming you.

Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
As the cause of the divorce. That's how it always works,
ain't it. Yes, So now after they found.

Speaker 7 (01:02:14):
Out on social media, she started a lot of chaos
in our lives. She didn't show up at our wedding,
and it devastated my husband. He was upset that his
ex wife allowed her to skip the wed You mean
his ex wife didn't make her go to the web
His ex wife wasn't now, so the ex wife didn't

(01:02:34):
make the daughter go to the wedding. What you mean
allow her to skip it? She's seventeen. She didn't want
to go down there because she figured you the reason
her mama and daddy ain't together, and her Mama didn't
co sign that, because as soon as you start dating somebody,
they go, oh here.

Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
She is right here. You the reason that you was dating,
and you younger, and you younger.

Speaker 14 (01:02:57):
Hang on, Steve, Part two of your responses coming up
at twenty five minutes after the hour Today's Strawberry letter,
subject fight or Flight. We'll get back into it right

Speaker 14 (01:03:44):
All right, come on, Steve, Let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
The subject fight or flight.

Speaker 7 (01:03:50):
Thirty year old flight attendant is married to a forty
four year old professor. She met the professor in grad
school and they started dating after she got the degree.
What she says he was going through a divorce, and
we kept our relationship private until it was finalized.

Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
He got a seventeen year old daughter that found out
on social.

Speaker 7 (01:04:09):
Media and she started a lot of chaos in her life.
She was seventeen then, well, now listen to that. She
didn't show up at our wearing and it devastated my
husband because he was upset that his ex wife allowed
her to skip the wear. No, his ex wife didn't
make her go down there, because the ex wife and
the daughter then came to the conclusion that this young

(01:04:30):
girl you married is the reason why y'all got the
divorce any way, and that's exactly how it looks.

Speaker 1 (01:04:36):
And then when they found out about.

Speaker 7 (01:04:37):
Y'all's relationship on social media, that validated because it was
only telling one story. Then you said I was over
her by that time, so I didn't care. So now
you didn't care if she comes to the wind because
you over.

Speaker 1 (01:04:52):
Her by that time.

Speaker 7 (01:04:54):
It was a year chaos that you was through with
the girl. She's about to turn eighteam Oh, So it
wasn't even a whole year because now you say it
was about to turn it to you see how fast
this is moving.

Speaker 1 (01:05:10):
But you left that out the letter, baby, baby, you
left that out after she finds out there.

Speaker 7 (01:05:18):
Next thing, she know y'all getting married and there's a
fourteen year age justice and you were his students while
he was a professor, and y'all were seeing each other
while they still were married and not yet the boy
because y'all kept.

Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
It to see see how this working? See how this working?

Speaker 11 (01:05:39):
Ah?

Speaker 7 (01:05:40):
Now she want to come live with y'all in Florida
and attend the fashion school. I never answered my husband.
He eventually flipped out on me and made an executive
decision to allow her to come.

Speaker 1 (01:05:51):
It's his daughter.

Speaker 7 (01:05:52):
She want to come down there and stay with her
daddy's go to fashion school. What you want him to
say except yes, I fixed up her home office for her.
I moved my desk into our son point. I was
so irritated you did all this begrudging me. She has
been there four months since. She's done exactly what I

(01:06:14):
knew she was gonna do. Now she's got an attitude.
Now when she's got an attitude, I leave and go
to work. See you're not explaining this. You're not explaining
she did exactly what you want. You don't give us
no information. I take a flight whenever available, anything to
get away from this girl. My husband, I argue, because

(01:06:35):
he says, I'm not a positive role model for her.
She's a grown woman. To me, Shirley's right, she's not
a grown woman. She's eighteen. She's just not turning eighteen.
She's a child.

Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
She don't get it. Now you're an adult. You know
what happened.

Speaker 7 (01:06:52):
You know why this girl mad. She's got parents that
failed her and allowed her to disrespect grown people. Wait
a minute, respect.

Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
On social media?

Speaker 7 (01:07:06):
You dating her daddy that's divorce and her mama? Wow

Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
And then what?

Speaker 7 (01:07:39):
Because she talking that You're gonna hit her in the mouth,
so you gonna resort the virus pharol stop. He says,
I need to learn how to be a parent. I
told him as soon as I will, as soon as
he makes me. Won Wait a minute, excuse me, Harry,
you're twelve years older than this girl. That best you
can be a big sister, but parent she has two parents,

(01:08:05):
you not. She's not finna call you mama. Hey, none
of this is sitting to work. I'm gonna have a
suggestion for you to say. I told him as soon
as he makes me, I would rather work and deal
with a plane full of needy passages instead of dealing.

Speaker 1 (01:08:20):
With a grown child. He keep saying grown. But she
a child, She's not.

Speaker 7 (01:08:26):
My husband told me that my fighter fighter flight mentality
is runnings. He can't see that his child is divisive
and honored.

Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
Am I wrong?

Speaker 7 (01:08:35):
Or does he need to put out? First of all,
he can't put his daughter out, Well, you're asking a
man to not be a man. You're asking a father
to not be a farther. You asking a man to
show his daughter an example of man that he's hoping
that one day she'll be able to find put her out?

Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
Are you kidding me? And you asking that?

Speaker 7 (01:09:01):
What's wrong with your maturity level? No, he can't ask
his daughter to leave, and no he can't put her out.
I'm gonna tell you right here, y'all, you never failed
to mention in this letter that.

Speaker 1 (01:09:12):
You all have ever had to sit down to discuss this,
to work through it, because you know what. Your corner decided.
You don't like her. You was through with the boat.

Speaker 7 (01:09:20):
She came to you house, and now you're reaping what
you saw. You remember how I got your man des.

y'all saw it.

Speaker 11 (01:10:51):
Sterling shape, Jared Allen, Eric Allen and Antonio Gates would
just welcome into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday,
and can know how they're in the shop. They had
a moment of course with his brother shinning sharp as
they are now the first brothers both enshrine in the
Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
Did you see it? Y'all saw some of it? Yeah?
Let me ask you what you think?

Speaker 11 (01:11:14):
Do you think with all of the drama that's going
on with Shannon, do you kind you think it may
have dampered what was going on with brother.

Speaker 7 (01:11:22):
I don't think it did. I don't think it did.
You know, he still went into the hall. I mean,
of course he would have loved He asked ESPN to
hold the announcement until afterwards. They didn't because ESPN don't
care about his brother or his feelings. You know, they Disney,
we're doing the right thing. We're electric right now, so

(01:11:44):
you know, you know, they had a great moment on
stage together. Shinnon his brother, Sterling loves him, you know,
and he gonna stand by his brother no matter what
he did, as he's that's right to die, that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:11:59):
Sterlin gave an emotional speech. I didn't see all of it,
but I saw people crying and people you know, talking
about it on social media, so that you know, everybody
was saying it was a touching.

Speaker 1 (01:12:12):
Moment for them.

Speaker 3 (01:12:15):
So that I mean, like you said, Tommy, first two
brothers to be enshrined the Hall of Fame, that's.

Speaker 11 (01:12:22):
Being one family with two of them gold jackets. Yeah,
and I held my jacket on ed tank.

Speaker 1 (01:12:28):
Y'all see me out at the gas station with that
gold jacket on, pumping gas everything. You come by the house,
I'm cutting the yard. I got my gold jacket on. Man,
you can't tell me nothow.

Speaker 3 (01:12:42):
So who do you think, guys? Is there anybody that
is not in the Hall of Fame yet that you
think should be? Steve favorite players?

Speaker 1 (01:12:51):
You are in the hall? Yeah, in the hall that's
not in it now?

Speaker 7 (01:12:56):
Yeah, you know, I don't have anybody in the Hall
of Fame I think ought to be in there. I
think there's somebody in the Baseball Hall of Fame that
I think should be in there. I think the Roles
should be in there. I think Sammy Solser should be
in there. I think Mark McGuire should be in there.
And I think one thousand percent that very bonds.

Speaker 1 (01:13:20):
Oh yeah, that I do know. But America is so
dog on hypocritical.

Speaker 7 (01:13:27):
They got a lot of nerve man passing judgment on cats,
They got a lot of nerve. You can put Trump
in the White House, but you can't put Barry Bones
in the hall, man.

Speaker 1 (01:13:39):
Right that part?

Speaker 7 (01:13:41):
All right?

Speaker 10 (01:13:42):
Yeah, thank you, Steve, Thank you, nephew.

Speaker 3 (01:13:45):
Coming up at the top of the hour, a young
man on social media needs some advice, job offer or
love of my life.

Speaker 10 (01:13:52):
We'll talk about it right after this you're listening.

Speaker 1 (01:13:54):
To the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Speaker 10 (01:14:00):
G on' Steve Harvey FM Rights.

Speaker 3 (01:14:03):
I'm twenty three and just finish school with a tech degree,
but landing a job.

Speaker 1 (01:14:08):
Has been harder than I expected.

Speaker 3 (01:14:10):
Right now, I've got a temporary job that pays the bills,
but I just got a full time offer with great pay,
double what I'm making now. The problem is is that
it's four hours away from my girlfriend. We've been together
since high school and I really do see a future
with her. But she can't move right now because she's

(01:14:31):
helping her parents out, especially since her dad's been sick.
If I stay, I might miss my shot. If I go,
I don't know if our relationship will make it. Do
I hold out for something closer or take the job
and risk losing the person that I love.

Speaker 1 (01:14:48):
You better go get this dog on job. Ory this
man up time right here.

Speaker 7 (01:14:52):
You can't buy houses and provide for families with just love.

Speaker 1 (01:15:00):
You have a part of your life as a man.
Provision is a huge part of it.

Speaker 7 (01:15:06):
M now, you stay in town and hold hands all
you want, but that's gonna get going to the movies.
But if you don't start progressing, the train up the track. Brother,
it's gonna be hard. So at one point in time,
you're gonna she's gonna a woman will marry you for security.

Speaker 1 (01:15:28):
So you're telling him, go get it, go, get it, go,
get the job, right, yeah, man? Yeah, you know many
times I have to move from work. We all have
ye move.

Speaker 10 (01:15:40):
Yes, we're going, We're going, We're going.

Speaker 1 (01:15:44):
We live in New York, we live in Atlanta.

Speaker 7 (01:15:48):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:15:48):
You gotta do what you gotta do. Yeah, so that's
good advice. All right, Steve, here we go. We got
time for one more. Steve and nephew. Marva on Steve
Harvey FM Rights. I've been married, y'all, Marva, all right,
marvra on Steve.

Speaker 1 (01:16:08):
Harvey FM Rights.

Speaker 3 (01:16:10):
I've been married just under two years to someone I
once thought was my person. At first, everything was perfect.
We had the same goals, the same sense of humor,
the same dreams. But lately I feel like I'm vanishing
inside the relationship. I'm not working right now, and my
husband was okay with that, but now he's grown distant,

(01:16:33):
even passive. Aggressive when I ask for money for the bills.
When I think about leaving, I hesitate because he's kind
to others says the right things in front of friends,
and I wonder.

Speaker 1 (01:16:46):
If I'm just being ungrateful.

Speaker 3 (01:16:48):
I've started emotionally pulling back, But I don't know if
that means it's time to go or am I giving
up too early? How do you know when your heart
is tired for a reason.

Speaker 1 (01:16:59):
Or not, and not just overwhelmed. So there's a lot
in that. What do you think?

Speaker 7 (01:17:05):
Yeah, that's a lot in that, you know. Look, I
don't it's there's so much information we don't have to
help you deal with that.

Speaker 1 (01:17:15):
You know, men are going to stress about the finances.

Speaker 7 (01:17:22):
They're gonna stress about the finances because that's how he equates.
That's how he measures his his manhood, his value. We
measure it by our work and what we bring to
the table and contribute to the to the UH, to
the relationship. Yeah, I'm still guilty of that myself after
all these years. So he's not going to stop m

(01:17:45):
HM wanting to have a say so in it. I
think what has to happen is he has to be
convinced that you're not going to sink the ship with
your decisions. I think you all got to have monthly
meetings financially to discuss moving forward what you're doing, because
if you don't, after two years of not discussing it,

(01:18:05):
all of a sudden, you're saying stuff like he's grown
distance and he's checking me.

Speaker 1 (01:18:11):
Now. Well, y'all should be having monthly meetings, and some
of this could have been avoided.

Speaker 6 (01:18:16):
Job.

Speaker 3 (01:18:16):
You know, I don't know if she quit because you
said it was okay with it. If you got fired,
you have no choice.

Speaker 11 (01:18:21):
When he said okay, it wasn't okay though when he
said it, it would clearly.

Speaker 1 (01:18:27):
But I like Chick for Something, got to get the
job they had on there, Chick for Late Now and
My Pleasure. More of today's trigger stories.

Speaker 3 (01:18:45):

Speaker 1 (01:23:22):
I'm too old.

Speaker 3 (01:23:23):
I'd rather have what a friend with benefits or one
night stand with a stranger.

Speaker 7 (01:23:28):
What is the benefits? Yeah, I'd rather have a friend
with benefits. I don't need that because you won't mess
around and be on the internet in the morning.

Speaker 1 (01:23:37):
My headline, yeah, strange and strange for a reason. A
stranger danger. All right, Finally here we go.

Speaker 3 (01:23:51):
Would you rather lie and tell someone you like the
meal that he or she prepared or cooked for you?

Speaker 10 (01:23:59):
Or would you rather be honest and tell them you
didn't like it?

Speaker 11 (01:24:03):
These some nasty greens you don't cook. I got to
say it. I can say you can't have no bad greens.
I got to take you this is terrible. Don't you
ever cook this again?

Speaker 6 (01:24:13):
What?

Speaker 7 (01:24:14):
But they gonna keep cooking it though if we don't
say something. Come on, Steve, I've dated a fine chick.

Kind. Now for the last break of the day, Steve Harvey,
it's good Tuesday today.

Speaker 1 (01:25:15):
Yeah, what you got it was good. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:25:20):
Keep our coworkers in your prayers, Shirley and Junior, just
remember that. Also in my closing, let me say this,
and this is something that I'm currently dealing with, and
I know a lot of people. Matter of fact, I
don't know nobody who's not dealing with it. You know,

(01:25:44):
you know when you've been praying about something, and you've
prayed about it for a long time, and it's something
you've wanted and hoped for, and it's been a long time,
and sometimes you get to the point where you just
you want to go, Hey, God, are you listening.

Speaker 1 (01:26:03):
I said, this is what I want. This is what
I need. You know, the part that you have to.

Speaker 7 (01:26:09):
Understand, especially if you've been in contact with him on
a regular and even if you just started back with him,
or are you are? Are you starting up with him now?
God knows what we need before we ask. But the
part that we got to get to is to trust
in the timing that He has. Now, this is a

(01:26:34):
tough thing to do, y'all, because God's timing has never
ever been my timing.

Speaker 1 (01:26:41):
Ever, I don't don't.

Speaker 7 (01:26:43):
I look back on all of the things I've asked
for and I found out that the answer was no.
And I think about, man, how disappointed I was. Let
me tell you something I was. I was about twenty seven,
hadn't gotten into comedy yet. I interviewed with an insurance company.

(01:27:04):
And I won't say the name of the insurance company,
but my boy had got me the interview.

Speaker 1 (01:27:11):
The man I interviewed it with. His name was either
Roy Foster or Ray Foster.

Speaker 7 (01:27:17):
And I'd been through about four or five interviews and
this was my final interview, and man, I was so excited.
This was around in eighty four, eighty five, somewhere like that,
and I was so excited. Man, I knew I was
gonna get this job. And I went to the interview

(01:27:38):
and the man told me, you know, this is a
final interview, and I just have one concern. I'm looking
at your record and it looks like you've moved four
times over the last six years, and for that, that
just doesn't symbolize stability. He said, you want to explain that,
and I just told her. I said, man, I had
a couple of things happened.

Speaker 1 (01:27:58):
He had to move.

Speaker 7 (01:27:59):
My least went up, I moved again. I had the twins,
and I had to move to get a bigger place.
He said, yeah, yeah, yeah, Yo. All that says to
me is instability. Well, sorry, we won't be hind you
at that time.

Speaker 1 (01:28:14):
And so I got in my.

Speaker 7 (01:28:15):
Seventy two Chevy and I drove out the parking lot
and I was heartbroken because man, I wanted that job
so bad.

Speaker 1 (01:28:22):
And I swung around on the freeway.

Speaker 7 (01:28:25):
And I was driving past the big sign of the
insurance company as I had made that U turn and
loopter and tears was just rolling down my face. I
felt so disappointed at that moment. Man, God, you know
I need this job. I'm trying to take care of
these kids, and he said no.

Speaker 1 (01:28:47):
Do you know what.

Speaker 7 (01:28:49):
Had I gotten that job at guess what, I probably
wouldn't have got into comedy because that would have been
the career path I thought that I really wanted, and
God said, no, I'm not gonna do that. So the
answer is no. And as I look back over my life,
I can think of so many times that the answer

(01:29:10):
to my prayer has been no. And if it had
a been yes what I was praying for, my outcome
would have been totally different. There's no way I would
be where I am today had the answer had to
he answer to prayer the way I wanted it to.
So as I sit here today, are you sitting here
today and you've been asking for something over and over?

(01:29:31):
And I said, like I've been asking for something over
and over. Could it be possible that the answer is no?
And usually when God tells me no is because he
has a better plan. It has always worked that way. Man,
It's crazy. Hey, you know what, suppose you had stayed
with that person that you had prayed for. Suppose you

(01:29:52):
had stayed with that person that you really thought was
this that or the other, and you stayed with him,
would you be where you were in to.

Speaker 1 (01:30:00):
No, probably not. Had you stayed there, had they not
left you, had you been able to find who you
have now? Probably not. If you had stayed on that
job that you had, would you be in a position
that you're in now? Probably not?

Speaker 7 (01:30:15):
Or maybe it still ain't just works itself completely out yet, y'all.
You gotta keep waking up and understanding that when God
wakes you up, it's a clear sign that He ain't
through with you yet.

Speaker 1 (01:30:24):
So why don't you see what the process? He is quick.

Speaker 7 (01:30:27):
Complaining all the time when it don't go your way.
Sometimes your way ain't really the best way. I've had
to discover that as smart as I think I am,
I've really made some dumb decisions.
