Speaker 2 (01:55):
Come come on, you think.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
I sure will? Good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice,
Come on, dig me now one and only see if
Harvey got a radio show man. God is in a
blessing business. I'm in the receiving line, man. That's a
good feeling. I thank God for waking me up in

(02:23):
the mornings, I really really do. I thank God for
the spirit that he wakes me up with because I finally,
but I finally figured it out. Such a blessing that
shouldn't be taken for granted. The fact that you are
up today, the fact that you just got off working,
you driving home, the fact that you got a job

(02:43):
to come home from, the fact that you got a
job to wake up too. Whatever, it is the fact
that you can see, think, here, smell, walk talk rhyme.
Reason whatever it is, it's a blessing.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Man.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
I was talking to a partner mine last night and
an analogy came to me last night of what my
life has been like, just going over my story with
a friend of mine, of all some of the things
I had gone through, and he never knew it because
he said, man, you never told me that. We were
just talking. One of the things I remember, and it's

(03:18):
kind of equated to my life, was when I was
a little boy, as she goes to the store with
my mom and she would let me buy a jigsaw puzzle. Now,
for those of you, a jigsaw puzzle comes in a box.
There are no instructions. It just comes in a box

(03:41):
and it's simple. You're gonna dump the pieces out in
a pile and you're gonna try to put the pieces
together until it looks like the picture that's on the
cover of the box. That's as simple as it is.
Here is the deal. I would select a jigsaw puzzle

(04:06):
based on the picture that I liked and if I
thought I could do it. Now, if the picture looked
too crazy, if it looked too intricate, I didn't want
that puzzle, you know. And the thing was back in
the day you got a jigsaw puzzle, you had a
hundred piece puzzles. Four hundred piece puzzles, man, then they

(04:29):
say a thousand piece puzzle.

Speaker 8 (04:31):
You go ooo.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
So those were a little difficult for me when I
was a little boy, so I didn't want that. As
I got a little bit older, I had more challenging puzzles,
you know, four fifty five hundred piece puzzles. But I
always picked a picture of something I liked. So it's

(04:54):
very simple. You get the jigsaw puzzle, you get it home,
you open it up, you dump it out on the table.
You flip all the pieces over so you can see them,
and then I would try to sort them based on
the colors on the box. If it was like a
black section, i'd take all the black pieces and slide
them over there. If it was some flowers, I'd try

(05:16):
to find all the pictures with little jigsaw pieces with
the little floor, and I separate them and then i'd
start putting it together. And the way I started was
i'd try to build a border first, because I knew
all the straight edges had to be side by side
at one point. And it was funny, man, because it's
related to my life. I would start putting the pieces

(05:37):
together of the picture I saw that I liked, and
that would be my picture. A lot of people didn't
like jigsaw puzzles. As a matter of fact, none of
the boys on the street liked jigsaw puzzles but me,
because they just didn't want to go through the intricate
details of figuring that out go outside and run or

(06:01):
something like that. And so what happened was, as I
got older, I wanted more difficult and challenging puzzles, but
I wouldn't go too far. I wanted some nice stuff
to happen. I had a picture of what I wanted
for my life, but I didn't want to go too
far because it was so challenging and difficult. I couldn't

(06:23):
see myself with all of that, and I didn't have
the time, the knowledge, the expertise, the figuring all the
intricate details. And I discovered something when I was talking
last night. That's what happens in life to a lot
of people. You get bogged down with the details of
coming up and trying to create the picture that you

(06:44):
want for yourself. You put it to the side. You say, ah,
that puzzles are crazy next thing, you know, you crumb
it up and put it back in the box. So
you go halfway and you get stuck, and you get
to the part where it ain't a lot of different colors.
It's all the same, and that's a little bit more challenging.
So that may stop you. But it's somewhere in the
jigsaw puzzle that it gets very difficult and challenging. The

(07:06):
bigger the picture you want, but then what all happened
in your life, it's just like what happened in the jigsaw.
Once you get comfortable and you don't mind the challenge,
you could get a bigger picture. But here's the key
to it, though, if you put God in your mix.

(07:28):
See the picture that I saw for myself as a
boy is not the picture that has happened to me
as a man. Because along the way from boyhood to manhood,
from the time I was telling you understand what happened
along the ride in there was I started putting God
in the mix. And so now the picture that I

(07:51):
have now is not the picture I saw. It's the
picture that God saw. So what I'm saying this analogy
is the picture you have may be difficult to complete,
but if you were to include God in your life,
put God in your jigsaw puzzle. God will not only

(08:12):
help you complete the puzzle, and he gonna add some pieces,
he gonna do some favors, he gonna show some mercy,
and you gonna look up and the picture that you're
able to end up with will be totally different and
much more complete, much more beautiful, a bigger picture than
the one you had, because there's no way that I

(08:32):
could have sought a life that I have today back
when I was a boy. And it amazes me when
I hear people say I always saw this for myself. Ah,
I didn't do that. I didn't quite see this for myself.
I don't know how you can have the ability to
see what God really has for you. But man, he's
a master for jigsaw. Man, he's an incredible puzzle completed.

(08:55):
So if you got a puzzle that's challenging to you,
maybe you need to see what's the pure that God
has for your life. If God were in your life,
if you complete it to puzzle, what would it look like.
It'll be a far more extensive puzzle and it would
be a far more beautiful piece of scenery than you

(09:16):
could have ever imagined. Tears come in my eyes because
I can't believe God bought me this far. I can't
believe that when I opened up and accepted him and
started talking to him, that he would add all these
piecels to my jigsaw puzzle, and my jigsaw puzzle would
look like this. And I can tell you I ain't
got a whole lot to do with what out and

(09:38):
turned into. It's mostly favor and blessings and grace and
mercy of God. And I looked up and I just
got a much bigger jigsaw puzzle completed. And guess what,
He ain't through with me yet. That's what's amazing and
exciting about a relationship with God. God could take your
jigsaw puzzle and fix it.

Speaker 13 (15:14):
Going on?

Speaker 2 (15:15):

woman owned establishment.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
What can I do for you?

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Okay, here's the deal.

Speaker 9 (15:29):
I'm sick and tired of my wife coming up there
and then when she get back home, she got these
thickss eyelashes on and they long as hell, you know,
I mean, it's these eyelashes thicking on somebody's mustache.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
It's a shame, you know, now, they told her to
take that.

Speaker 12 (15:46):
Hold up, Brian. Now, I may or may not be
the person doing it, but whoever, I'm pretty sure probably
that sounds familiar. But whoever, we have a lot of customers.
But whoever comes in here, they picked their lashes. We
we you know, we collaborate. But the girls are saying
what they want done. They pick it. So if they're thick,
they're thick because they want them thick.

Speaker 9 (16:06):
Okay, well these are two they too thick, and then
and they too long. Your eyelasses ain't supposed to be
sticking away. I pass your nose. That's a chain. But
let me let me tell you what I'm getting at though.
Here's here's here's my reason for calling. If my wife
come home one more say what, God.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Can you send her down?

Speaker 12 (16:24):
Because I mean, I'm running a business here and you
sound crazy. They can cheer you through the pall on
the girl. They're looking at me in the chair. I
don't know what's going on.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 12 (16:34):
Can you calm down? You loud and screaming.

Speaker 9 (16:37):
All I'm saying is if my wife come home with
these long, thick as eyelasses again, I'm gonna come up
there and raise, holy hell at that place.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
I'm telling you the truth about that.

Speaker 12 (16:47):
You know, what are you talking about? Why you're threatening me?
You are not coming up here.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
I'm coming up there.

Speaker 9 (16:52):
You if my wife coming home with them thick as
long eyelass as again, I am no, You're not coming
up here.

Speaker 12 (16:58):
We just opened a your half ago. We are doing then.
We don't need no drama for nobody. You need to
talk to your wife. It's your marriage. Don't come down here,
take it out.

Speaker 9 (17:06):
Ain't nothing wrong with my marriage. The only thing wrong
with my marriage is he thinking as I lasted and
they too long.

Speaker 6 (17:12):
That's the Why are you?

Speaker 12 (17:14):
Why are you calling me with this?

Speaker 9 (17:16):
See now, I'm yes, because I'm calling because this is
where she got her eyelashes done.

Speaker 12 (17:20):
Oh my god, Oh my god. Then you need to
talk to your wife. Okay, I need to calm down.
I'm running a business here. What you're trying to do
sabotage me?

Speaker 6 (17:29):
What you work for?

Speaker 4 (17:30):
The compete? Are you trying to sabotage now?

Speaker 9 (17:31):
But I'll tell you what if she come home with
these long thickets as our lads again, I'm gonna come
up there and I'm gonna find all the violates and
codes and everything building codes, and I will get you
shut down if we don't stop these long thickets as
I last.

Speaker 12 (17:44):
Okay, Brian, I'm from the south Side so much. You
need to back up because now you're threatening my livelies books. Yes,
I'm gonna go there with you. You're threatening in my livelihood.
You're threatening the jobs of so many girls here.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
What are you doing?

Speaker 12 (17:59):
You need to talk to your wife and you just
back up. And I am sorry to Kurt. We try
to speak class here, but now you're making me lash
out at from lash out, but you need to back up.
This is my job and people have jobs. What are
you doing threatening to come up here? I will call
the cops on you and you will not be able
to come here and we will not let your get

(18:21):
her her eyelashes not And you need to fix your
marriage because you got some anger issues. Clearly you pissed
off at your wife and you're calling us, threatening to
ruin our business. Wyan, what is your wife's name?

Speaker 2 (18:32):
My wife name is? My wife name is Jamie.

Speaker 12 (18:35):
Okay, does anybody is here no Jamie? Or do Jamie's glashes?

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Okay?

Speaker 12 (18:41):
It's like four girls raising her hand because everybody goes
to somebody different, so I don't know who is does
Jamie slashes? But you got some anger issues?

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Okay, I ain't got no anger issue.

Speaker 9 (18:53):
The only problem I got is my wife having some long,
thick eyelashes and they further out than her nose and
thiguring it in us.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Somebody's much stair. That's what I got a problem with.

Speaker 12 (19:02):
Okay. You know what, Jamie just needs to leave your
because if you got an issue.

Speaker 8 (19:07):
Call her.

Speaker 12 (19:07):
Why are you calling us?

Speaker 9 (19:11):
Why wouldn't I call the people that put the thick
eye Lanses on? Why wouldn't I?

Speaker 12 (19:15):
Well, first of all, you need to talk to Jamie
and send her up here. We're gonna tell her not
to leave your first of all. Second of all, I don't.
I cannot help you. You are interrupting my grinding. Okay,
we're interrupting our grinding and we got a business going here.
What is your problem? Can't you go do some work,

(19:35):
go and talk to your wife and fix your marriage.

Speaker 9 (19:38):
You know, I'll tell you what beon. I'll tell you
what you're not trying to fix. No, no, no, no,
you're not trying to fix the problem. I'll be up
there I'll be up there and I would bring somebody
that would shut that.

Speaker 12 (19:51):
Right now, call them down, tell them somebody's coming up here,
and they threatening us a lash out call. See they
three girls calling right now. Bring your little up here.
Come on, come on, bring in and bring it up here.

Speaker 2 (20:05):

Speaker 12 (20:20):

Speaker 3 (20:22):

Speaker 1 (20:22):

Speaker 12 (20:26):

Time, different areas.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
It's just a routine.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
Yeah, he wasn't taught that. I mean if he does
error right, right, So, so.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
How does his wife think he's supposed to know all
of a sudden.

Speaker 10 (23:49):
Well, sometimes I think women think that it's just innate men.
You know, men do certain things for their women. You
know they opened door. Yeah, they do these things. Surely
he's seen someone open the door for a woman before.
Surely at some point in time, yes, in his life.

Speaker 9 (24:10):
Come on, But for you young men out there, that
is the most that's the proper thing to do, is
to open the car door for your lady, just so
you know, that is what you're supposed to.

Speaker 7 (24:20):
As a man, right, yeah, yeah, to be Yeah, but
you got to say, you know what I'm saying, that's right.
I don't care nothing about you never opened door. You're
supposed to open the door. And it's your wife.

Speaker 13 (24:31):
I don't know how long she being your wife, but
if y'all been married more than two years, that's two
years she ain't never had her door open.

Speaker 7 (24:35):
That's a long time.

Speaker 13 (24:37):
You should you should always open your wife's door. I mean,
you just got out the car and when it starts
talking to the up of the women. How y'all doing,
everybody doing, how y'all feel y'all good? All right now
glad to be here? Where your wife at in the car?

Speaker 1 (24:48):
I don't know why she ain't opened the door.

Speaker 7 (24:50):
She just didn't even get out.

Speaker 4 (24:53):
Yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
And when you open the door to a building, you
let your wife go in first, let your lady go
in first.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
That's just teacher. But a lot of these young guys say, well,
how she could open the door for me?

Speaker 9 (25:07):
What what?

Speaker 1 (25:09):
Yeah, yeah, that's stupid. Oh yeah, that's stupid. That's changed
times the ball.

Speaker 13 (25:14):
Do you even know why you opening the door? And
why she why you open it? You don't even understand
why you're doing for safety purposes, sir. Your most prized
possession is out here on the street. It's what if
something happened, put her in the car? Or what are
you going into a building? Put put her in the
building first. You don't know what's happening. That's why you
do it for safety purposes.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
That's your course.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Why school them, junior?

Speaker 7 (25:36):
Well, here's another thing too. You need to understand.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
You did it.

Speaker 13 (25:38):
Get on the elevator first, and you get off the
elevator first, to make sure it's safe safety purposes.

Speaker 10 (25:42):
Sir, there you go, okay, all right, all right, moving on,
moving on to celestin Detroit. So that's right to My
husband and I divorced back in twenty fourteen. We got
remarried this year, but he still has his house and
I have mine. I'm okay with the situation, but our

(26:05):
children's day, it's ghetto to live apart. Should we do
what works for us or try living together for our kids?

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Wow?

Speaker 6 (26:13):
A lot.

Speaker 2 (26:14):
I always thought this was a great idea. I always have,
always living apart.

Speaker 9 (26:20):
I've been looking at the house across the street from
us for the last ten years. Oh to move right
over there and just deal with them when I want to,
I really have. I thought about it. If I could
just if the house go back up and say cross street,
I ain't laying on buying it, and i'ma move cross
the street and them kids can just come when y'all
want to come stay with daddy. Y'all come over here.
I'm gonna come over there and cook for y'all on

(26:40):
certain day, and me and your mama gonna go.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
Back and forth.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
I just I just think it's just peaceful. I just
really do you at all.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
I don't dislike it.

Speaker 9 (26:50):
If we did it, if we moved, if we moved
next door to each other, we could just you know,
put a gate between the two fences and just go
back and forth, you know, on the days, on them days,
she getting on my marror.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
You know what, I'm finna go home. I'm not finishing
there and deal with this.

two houses, that's what you have.

Speaker 13 (27:29):
I wish that my parents would have thought of this,
because when Double Lsha got separated, they didn't create another house,
ain't creating bills.

Speaker 7 (27:35):
What they did was we had musical rooms around here.
That means my mama took my room. I'll sleep on
the couch. I wish I had another house. You had
to get dressed in the living room.

Speaker 1 (27:44):

Speaker 7 (27:46):
All my clothes behind the couch.

Speaker 1 (27:49):

Speaker 7 (27:50):
I ain't got no privacy. Everybody in my room watching
TV eating. I gotta wait till everybody, get off.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
I was trying to be cool, you, I was trying
to keep my cool, but I didn't like it at all.
Am I the only man that feels territorial about his grill?

Speaker 2 (28:55):
No, No, you're not. You have no you have every
right to think this way.

Speaker 9 (28:59):

to basketball, which was which was outright.

Speaker 7 (39:49):

she's on the cover of a console game NBA two
K twenty six. She and you're gonna sit up there
and say that that Angel hates Caitlyn Clark. Well, like
Shaq said, it's sports. She ain't supposed to like each other. Yeah,

Man, Look, hell, you and Bennie, Bennie, Lennie, whatever the

gonna be some real shure. Now, why not going back

Speaker 3 (52:22):

Speaker 10 (56:52):
Let us thank you few subjects will give you its
ex His ex is staying with us for a week.

Speaker 4 (57:00):
Just ephn.

Speaker 10 (57:01):
Surely I'm not an evil person, but I will speak
up if I feel like I'm being played for a fool.
My husband was in a long term relationship that gave
him two beautiful children. He's best of friends with the
children's mom, and I like her a lot too. She
even came to my last birthday celebration because she happened
to be in town. My husband and I drive to

(57:23):
get the kids and we take them back home so
she doesn't have to drive the two hours. Co parenting
was great until recently my husband felt the need to
remind me that he's the parent and I'm the step
parent after he agreed to let the kid's mom stay
at our house for a week. Mind you, she's at
my house while I'm sending this letter to you guys.

(57:45):
She had a big flood in her area, so we
jumped in to help her get things out of her
house and move them to her mom's house. We ended
up taking the kids back home with us the next day.
She got a minimal She got minimum water damage, but
the house had to dry out. She called my husband
and gave him a sob story about missing her kids.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
There is no room for.

Speaker 10 (58:10):
The kids in her mom's house, so he suggested that
she drive to our house and stay here for a
few days. He told me she was coming, and I
assumed he meant she was getting a hotel room. Then
he asked me to help him put sheets on an
air mattress for her. I asked for who for who?

Speaker 1 (58:29):
You know how we do bo who? And rolled our eyes.
You know she rolled her eyes? Yeah, you did exactly.

Speaker 10 (58:36):
He told me that I should be mature enough to
let the kids mom stay with us for a few days.
I haven't been able to go off on him because
the kids were here and now their mama is too,
so so what We're all cool? He took it too
far by letting her stay here. Am I being evil?
Or did he cross the line?

Speaker 1 (58:54):
Okay? Did he cross the line?

Speaker 2 (58:56):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (58:56):
Are you being evil?

Speaker 3 (58:57):
No?

Speaker 1 (58:58):
And if you are, who cares that your eye?

Speaker 10 (59:00):
But first of all, I do want to thank you
for stepping in and helping take care of his kids.
We always compliment men when they take on helping raise
the kids another man, So yeah, we want to thank
you for that. And no, you are not being evil
as a so called step mom. You've gone over and
aboard what is necessary. This is crazy, and you've been

(59:24):
way too good to his kids for him to put
you down like that when they are in your house.
You are the mom to these kids. I'm sure you've
grown to love them too. You said they're beautiful children.
What your husband did is wrong. It's very disrespectful to
you and to the marriage. The fact that he didn't
discuss with you that his ex was coming to stay

(59:45):
at your house. What there are a lot of hotels nearby.
I'm sure that was just foul. He was the one
being immature. He said you were immature. That was a
discussion that needed to be had before she came. He
knew you would say no, or at least ask what why,
so he decided on his own to let her stay

(01:00:06):
there without any consideration as to how you his wife,
were gonna feel about this. His ex staying at your house.
Come on, this is beyond crazy, and he was talking
to you crazy too. He should never treat you badly
to make his baby mama feel good or feel comfortable.
This is your house too. Would he be okay with

(01:00:28):
you inviting your ex to stay there for a week.
But we all know the answer to that, and it's no.
Thank you for not arguing while the kids are there,
But as soon as they all leave, you need to
let your husband have it, and you need to let
him hear how you feel.

Speaker 9 (01:00:42):
Tommy, she king stay at our house point blank. And
I don't care what disaster it is.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
Flood, hurricane, futonami, cardinata, avalanche, ear quit, hide the way,
forest fire. You can't stay here, y'all in pass how
many hotels between that house and our house?

Speaker 9 (01:01:09):
It's too many of them. Red roof, we didn't pay it.
About the red roof in, We didn't pay it. By
motel SI, we didn't pay it. By the courtyard, we
didn't pay it. About the day's in. It's a whole
bunch of places that you can stay other than this house.
And the last thing I'm finshed to do is put
some sheets on this app mattress with you. That's the
last thing I'm finna do with you. So, first of all,

(01:01:32):
your husband is completely out of line. One line that
you do not cross is bringing your ex into your home.
And you have not even discussed this with your wife.
You didn't even ask your wife permission. You just you
just ask her to help you put some sheets on.
He coming over here to get What man do that?
One man don't ask his wife if this is okay

(01:01:52):
with you? What man don't do that? This is your wife.
This is you want to make sure if nobody else
is happy, your wife happy. So you want to make
sure you talk your wife and say, hey, listen in
the situation. You know it's been a flood. Are you
comfortable with this? I want to make sure you are
right with this first. That's what a real man is
supposed to do. You're not supposed to say you're gonna
you acting a kind of an immature for not letting her.

Speaker 4 (01:02:14):
Boy, if you lost your mind.

Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
This is your wife.

Speaker 9 (01:02:17):
If anybody's supposed to be happy, it's supposed to be
your wife. Now, if you want to help your kids
mother and you say, hey, baby, we're gonna get our room, uh,
you know we don't get our room over here because
of the situation. Blah blah blah. You're cool with that,
and then your wife and needs to be cool with
that as well. But that's what a real man is
supposed to do. You're supposed to make sure your wife
is cool on all. Now, if your wife steps in

(01:02:39):
and say, you know what, baby, it's all right, she
can stay here if you want them to stay here
with the kids. We don't want to break up from
the kids. Let your wife be the one that's going
to say that your man is completely out of line
by saying he's staying here and you shouldn't be acting
like this. Now you done created a problem with your wife.
Now there's an issue. I don't care you're talking about.
You didn't want to cuss in front of them kids, us,

(01:03:00):
everybody out, including them, you ebody, y'all go back to
and fluid for all lock care.

Speaker 10 (01:03:06):
Hang on, we'll have part two of today's Strawberry Letter
at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's subject he
is his ex's staying with us.

Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
For a week.

Speaker 10 (01:03:15):
We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
Steve Harvey Morning Show. You've heard us talk about the
benefits of Globe Life insurance. Globe Life has been protecting
families for generations. Globe Life is easy to buy, with
rates starting as low as three dollars and forty nine

(01:03:36):
cents a month. There is no medical exam, just a
simple application. Call Globe Life today at one eight hundred
two five one fifty four hundred, or visit globelife radio
dot com again. That's one eight hundred two five one
fifty four hundred or globelifradio dot com. All right, we're
going to recap today's strawberry letter. The subject is his

(01:03:56):
ex's staying with us for a week. This woman wrote in,
and she's say she's not an evil person, but she
will speak up when she feels like she's being played.

Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
She's married.

Speaker 10 (01:04:07):
Her husband was in a long term relationship before her,
and he had two beautiful children. She says from this relationship,
he's best friends now with the baby mama, and the
wife says she likes the baby mama a lot. She
even came to her last birthday celebration because she happened
to be in town. So they have a really cool relationship.

(01:04:29):
The two parents of the children, and the father's knew wife.
She said she and her husband drive to take the
kids home. They drive to pick them up. They don't
want the baby mama to have to drive two hours.

Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
She said.

Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
Co parenting was going.

Speaker 10 (01:04:47):
Just great until recently, when the wife had a flood
when the baby mama had a flood in her house
and she needed to come to their house and let
her house air out for a little while. So the
kids are already at the house. They were going to
stay at the mom's house, but they're already at the house.
Then she called the husband to say she was missing

(01:05:09):
her kids. So all of a sudden, the husband goes
to get the air mattress and tells his wife that
she's being immature and coming there and help them put
the sheets on the air mattress because guess what, the
baby mama is going to stay at their house and
you're immature, wifey, and stop rolling your eyes. So the
wife wants to know is she is she evil or

(01:05:33):
did her husband cross the line?

Speaker 1 (01:05:35):
That is the question?

Speaker 10 (01:05:36):
Is she evil for not wanting the ex to stay
at their house? And why didn't the husband ask her?
Why didn't he discuss this with her?

Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
Just one day?

Speaker 10 (01:05:44):
She just found out that the baby mama is going
to stay at their house for a week, So she
wants to know is she being evil or did he
cross the line? Yes, he crossed the line, and no,
you're not being evil. Tommy agrees, and Kier Junior what
do you have to say about this.

Speaker 13 (01:06:01):
I'm with Tommy. Let me let me maybe if you
said you writing us and she at the house, now
this is a good time to start throwing stuff out
right now, Why you got time to write us?

Speaker 7 (01:06:13):
She's in your house. See, I don't I.

Speaker 13 (01:06:17):
Don't care about the flood and all your belongings and
all of this type of stuff.

Speaker 7 (01:06:22):
This don't even matter to me.

Speaker 13 (01:06:23):
This don't even make no sense, not a I thought
about this. If this was my wife asking me, can't
her baby?

Speaker 7 (01:06:29):
Daddy's said how there's not a situation in life he
could stay here.

Speaker 1 (01:06:33):
I don't care.

Speaker 13 (01:06:33):
I know Tommy said, a flood or hurricane or flash
flood or pseudonymic or earthquake or volcanic corruption.

Speaker 7 (01:06:40):
There's not no reason for him to ever stay here.

Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
I can't see it. I don't care.

Speaker 13 (01:06:44):
If it's a gunshot wound, can't stay here. Of stabbing,
he can't stay here, car accident, can't stay here. I
don't care if he died and go peacefully when you
get to heaven. Can't stay in my mansion. I don't
care where we at on earth.

Speaker 7 (01:06:58):
There's no reason can see for him to stay with me.

Speaker 8 (01:07:02):
What is wrong with you.

Speaker 13 (01:07:04):
I don't care if he got a kidnapping charge, can't
stay here, I don't care. It does not matter bank robberies,
shootout with the police, probation, violation.

Speaker 7 (01:07:13):
There's nothing in his life that could happen. He could

She could have given your garage for more.

Speaker 13 (01:08:06):
I wish you would open the garage though, for her
to sleep in. No, ain't nothing available. There's nothing in
a situation. This is not a friend of yours, this
is his ex wife.

Speaker 1 (01:08:15):
She ain't your friend, Mama, Yeah, ain't your friend?

Speaker 4 (01:08:21):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
Do all that?

Speaker 4 (01:08:25):
Maybe we could have put a tent out in the
backyard and let her stay out.

Speaker 13 (01:08:28):
There if we had a treehouse time and she can't
get in that, It don't matter what it is.

Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
Just your hotel.

Speaker 13 (01:08:36):
Just say at the hotel, you better hope, you better
hope they ain't cut the FEMA check. You better get
your FEMA check and get on nothing. Because that's about
the only sens is you getting. You're not getting it
from my husband, my wife.

Speaker 7 (01:08:48):
You're not finna get that.

Speaker 13 (01:08:50):
And you know what, here's another thing, because it's the
next line with these my kids where you and your
kids can go stay with her all y'all, but it's
not gonna.

Speaker 1 (01:08:58):
Be in here.

Speaker 4 (01:08:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09:00):
So yeah, the the problem in this letter is the husband.

Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
For sure.

Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
It's the husband, yes problem.

Speaker 7 (01:09:07):
And yes he did go too far, yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 1 (01:09:13):
But then he called her immature. He his own wife immature.
Uh huh.

Speaker 13 (01:09:18):
I don't care if a family member died. You can't
stay here, Wow, I don't care how you get.

Speaker 7 (01:09:24):
You're not staying here. Tell me we're gonna come together
as a family.

Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
Not not in here.

Speaker 4 (01:09:27):
We not no, why not.

Speaker 1 (01:09:29):
Are you afraid they might get back together? They and
that's her.

Surety, Well, let me go ahead and talk to DC
right quick.

Speaker 13 (01:10:56):
Let me just let them know that on August twenty
eighth and August twenty ninth and third, I will be
at the MGN with my man Earthquake. We're gonna be
down there in d C on the national Uh did
we doing the show to show one one on Friday?

Speaker 7 (01:11:09):
One on Saturday?

Speaker 14 (01:11:10):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:11:10):
In d C.

Speaker 4 (01:11:11):
W h R.

Speaker 7 (01:11:12):
I'm coming by. I just want to see I'm coming by,
Darlene and I'll be doing that in a minute.

Speaker 4 (01:11:21):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 7 (01:11:22):
I don't know if y'all heard this story, but uh,
this is really crazy.

Speaker 13 (01:11:25):
Teddy Bridgewater, who is the head coach of Miami Northwestern
High School, it's suspended. You know, Teddy Bridgewater used to
be a quarterback in the NFL, played with the Saints,
played with the Detroit Lions. Last season was good and
uh yeah, man yeah, And Teddy Bridgewater, Man, he was
a high school coach. He won the state championship last
year and he's the head coach. But they suspended them

(01:11:47):
for some reasons like paying for his players UBER because
they don't have enough money in the program. So he
pays for the players UBER and then he paid for
their rehab. You know, he fees the players everything to
take his team. And he spent two hundred thousand dollars
of his own money to take care of these players
when they didn't have it, and they just stay champs.

Speaker 7 (01:12:08):
Now Teddy say, he don't care what happens.

Speaker 1 (01:12:11):
He gonna be the head coach.

Speaker 7 (01:12:13):
Even if he got a coach from the stands. He
just gonna coach anyway.

Speaker 13 (01:12:17):
And I think it's kind of crazy that when other
programs they may have the funding and he don't have it.
And all he's doing is just make sure his players
get the same type of treatment that other players get.
If they injured, they can get recovered, they get a
ride to practice, the whole nine. But then if the
community comes together and they donate. But why would you
punish a person like Teddy Bridgewater.

Speaker 9 (01:12:35):
Why, Yeah, but you're making the complaint the school, the
school board who's making the complaint.

Speaker 13 (01:12:40):
Yeah, Well, when they find out that he was doing it,
he reported all of his all his receipts, He reported
all to the school. He didn't like he's hiding it
or he's doing anythings, because it's saying like, you know,
like he could be doing this for players, like for favoritism,
but he's doing it.

Speaker 7 (01:12:54):
For the whole team.

Speaker 13 (01:12:55):
Now you spend two hundred thousand dollars on this team,
you must really care, because I can tell you right now, coaching,
we ain't got it.

Speaker 7 (01:13:01):
You just ain't gonna make this game.

Speaker 4 (01:13:02):
I don't have tas.

Speaker 7 (01:13:04):
I'm not spinning two hundred thousand dollars over the team.
I don't care.

Speaker 4 (01:13:06):
We stay chance.

Speaker 7 (01:13:07):
Everybody not gonna play this week. We just whoever can
get here can play.

Speaker 2 (01:13:10):
That's all.

Speaker 1 (01:13:10):
I got a lot of money, two of his own money.

Speaker 5 (01:13:14):
This is so crazy because it's like you have educators,
you know, God bless all of our educators.

Speaker 1 (01:13:21):
Good coach, we have good coaches.

Speaker 5 (01:13:22):
And you got a caring coach who's a professional athlete,
who's a former professional athlete, who in his heart he's
giving back to his players. He's trying to make it
better for them this situation in scenario, and you punish
him for that.

Speaker 9 (01:13:36):
You know, do you know how many do you know
how many teachers go in they pocket and spend money students.

Speaker 7 (01:13:45):
Yeah, you have.

Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
How many teachers really go in and go above and beyond?

Speaker 4 (01:13:49):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (01:13:51):
Shut out to Teddy Bridgewater man, keep it the great one.

Speaker 1 (01:13:53):
All right, thank you, Junior.

Speaker 10 (01:13:55):
Coming up at the top of the hour, a man
on social media needs some advice, he says, bill them
out once, shame on them, bail them out twice, shame
on me.

Speaker 1 (01:14:04):
We'll talk about it right after this.

Speaker 10 (01:14:07):
You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys,
this is from this is from GEO on Steve HARVEFM.
GEO says, there are five kids in my family, and
one of them has made the life choice to be
a delinquent. At a certain point, my siblings and I
were asked to, quote, step up for your brother and

(01:14:29):
bail him out of whatever trouble he'd gotten himself into.
About three years ago, it was my turn to pay
eight hundred dollars to get him out of jail, and
that was after getting a guilt trip message from my mom.
Now he's locked up again and it's apparently my turn again.

Speaker 1 (01:14:46):
But I'm not doing it.

Speaker 10 (01:14:48):
I've explained it to my mom and my siblings that
I'm done with paying for his mistakes. Knowing full well
that I won't ever see my money back, and it's
probably in his best interest to.

Speaker 1 (01:14:59):
Stay in jail for a while.

Speaker 10 (01:15:00):
So the question is, how can I make the family
understand that I'm not the bail I'm not the bad
one in this situation.

Speaker 2 (01:15:09):
With this family.

Speaker 9 (01:15:10):
When it gets to the point where it's my turn,
you're going to jail so much? Is somebody's turn to
get you? Right?

Speaker 11 (01:15:17):
Well?

Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
No, no, no, no, no, you got to sit in there.

Speaker 9 (01:15:20):
You got to sit in there. You got to understand
what you're doing. But I'm not going to keep spending
my heart earned money to get you.

Speaker 4 (01:15:24):
It's my turn again.

Speaker 1 (01:15:25):
Ye no, no.

Speaker 4 (01:15:27):
If I helped you once, that's it.

Speaker 1 (01:15:29):
You keep going ballance.

Speaker 3 (01:15:30):
I'm not.

Speaker 9 (01:15:32):
We're gonna skip my turn because it's not happening. My
turn ain't happened no more.

Speaker 1 (01:15:35):
I know that's right.

Speaker 5 (01:15:37):
That's no, no, no, no, no, yeah, what's wrong with you, junior?
You said your arms folded. I already know how this.

Speaker 13 (01:15:44):
You know, I've built out a lot of people. I
stopped too. I'll tell you right now. I left my
grandfather in jail, shod.

Speaker 7 (01:15:51):
I left Grandpaul, right, yeah, Papa, Papaul rest his soul.

Speaker 13 (01:15:57):
But he left him in there. I walked right out
the room. His bill was two undred fifty thousand dollars.
I just said, what you need to get a new name?
Ain't old school. If you're not getting out, your name
is old school.

Speaker 7 (01:16:07):
Oh you need to get used to that. And breakfast
is at seven.

Speaker 1 (01:16:09):
You need to start learning.

Speaker 8 (01:16:10):
Some stuff going on.

Speaker 7 (01:16:11):
And there, you nigga were doing wrong for you in there?
Why should I bill yell?

Speaker 1 (01:16:14):
And you older than me?

Speaker 8 (01:16:16):
You know right from wrong?

Speaker 7 (01:16:17):
Yeah, you're you're supposed to know better, right, you're supposed loot.

Speaker 13 (01:16:20):
You look at me to bail you. I walked right
after I hung that phone up and got out of there.
Lawyer kept writing telling me, I said, how much is
this bail? A quarter of a million dollars? You're gonna
be in here. I don't know what family think you got.
This is not the one I'm gonna do. Mamma talking about.

Speaker 7 (01:16:34):
It's my daddy. You can go in there with your daddy.
We're not getting out of here, though.

Speaker 1 (01:16:37):
I love your family.

Speaker 7 (01:16:39):
Fifty thousand, quarter of a million dollars, that's his bit.

Speaker 9 (01:16:43):
He knew, what grandfuck, I'm not paying that eight of
the of the man in the letter.

Speaker 4 (01:16:50):
I'm not paying that, right, man.

Speaker 7 (01:16:52):
No, I didn't pay none of it. So what I'm out,
But Papa, I'm still in there. He got he got
on the heart, he got out on the hardship.

Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
Okay, he got sick.

Speaker 4 (01:17:08):
Relationship.

Speaker 7 (01:17:09):
Well, you know what it's it's decent.

Speaker 11 (01:17:12):
You know.

Speaker 6 (01:17:14):
What to jail.

Speaker 13 (01:17:15):
I didn't what you want me to say. I'm not
the person that trouble him. But you got to ask
you because you.

Speaker 7 (01:17:22):
Got caught rules.

Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
What is a hardship?

Speaker 4 (01:17:28):
What is that?

Speaker 3 (01:17:29):
Like?

Speaker 1 (01:17:30):
He's ill.

Speaker 13 (01:17:33):
And so that you know, they put him in a
better condition, but he you know, he has he has
he has restrictions and stuff. You know, he can't just
go out and do something. You know, still got probation
and stuff like that, and you know, stuff like that.
But that ain't the point. The amount of money they
ask for him to get out, that's not what we're paying. No, no, no, no,
I'm not doing that.

Speaker 7 (01:17:53):
So you ain't got it. Don't feel bad at all.
Tell them about what they did.

Speaker 13 (01:17:56):
Bring their charge up and you feel better immediately you're
talking to the person that wrote the Just bring up
the charge and you feel better than me.

Speaker 7 (01:18:05):
So that's what you did.

Speaker 13 (01:18:06):
So that's like one time my sister went to jail
for failing to show her insurance.

Speaker 7 (01:18:10):
I didn't go bill her out either. You chose not
to show your insurance. You knew that man asked you
for your insurance. I'm not showing it. The other result
ned you went to jail. She's right down macall in Houston,
right off the cow Road.

Speaker 13 (01:18:22):
I didn't go down there, not Macowar, Yeah, the prison,
oh Macau.

Speaker 7 (01:18:27):
I didn't go.

Speaker 1 (01:18:28):
Wow, care where you're at.

Speaker 7 (01:18:30):
I'm minding my business.

Speaker 1 (01:18:32):
I'm not in jail.

Speaker 7 (01:18:35):
Did she gonna get in the car?

Speaker 4 (01:18:36):
Talked by?

Speaker 7 (01:18:37):
Thank you Lord? No, Jesus, Ain't got nothing to do
with this. Don't bring the Lord of this. You didn't
show your insurance.

Speaker 1 (01:18:46):
All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
