Speaker 1 (00:00):
Time for Nina's what's trending?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Are you guys caught up on the Blake Lively and
Justin Baldoni legal war?

Speaker 3 (00:04):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (00:04):
No, no, please yeah, please, I need the details.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
It's getting a little bit wild because there have been
multiple lawsuits that have been filed kind of into talks
about each other, and now they're suing each other. They
both filed lawsuits on New Year's Eve, so Blake had
already filed one back in California kind of talking about
the fact that he had some sexual misconduct on the
set of their movie and then also by weight shaming
her and all that kind of stuff. Now Justin also

(00:32):
filed a lawsuit now claiming that the New York Times
was negligent and how they reported on the whole thing
and not balancing both sides. So he doesn't necessarily have
any defense other than in my opinion, this is my opinion,
other than saying that he didn't do those things, and
it's just coming after any media outlet that is reporting
on it and saying that it's false.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Because she released text messages and stuff.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Yes, well he did also, and they both did in
both their suits.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
But then she also filews second lawsuit. Yes she did.
She filed a schedule lawsuit.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
This one also mirrors the one that she filed in California. Oh,
double downing on what she said before. So allegedly he
walked into her dressing room without being invited, and then
again all of this other stuff. And then they're bringing
bringing Ryan Reynolds into the situation because Justin says that
he was berated by him and like kind of verbally
assaulted by him because he was so angry and defending Blake.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
So I pay for that.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
I mean, Ryan Reyndolds is you know, he's a handsome man. Yeah,
but imagine it gets mad very fast. Either he seems
like such a calm person. You probably had to be
really mad.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Well, he's defending his wife.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
But also I don't think you can necessarily sue somebody
for just yelling at you, can you.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
No, not in America. Well, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
He's bringing that kind of stuff into it. So while
I asked if you were caught up even telling you
all of that, do you feel caught up?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Because it's very confusing.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
I saw a lot of TikTok videos of people explaining
the lawsuits, and I'm like, oh, cool now I don't
have to like look at them.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
But also it's like I don't I don't really know
what's going on now. You should get your news.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah, that's fair, but it's a lot. It's a lot,
he said, she said, And they're both very upset. And
it sounds like so far Justin's getting the brunt of
it because he got dropped by his management company or
that were representing him after all of this stuff came out.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Well, because has Blake Lively ever caused a stink ever
in her career?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Ever?

Speaker 2 (02:15):
No?

Speaker 1 (02:16):
What? What?

Speaker 5 (02:17):
What would what would be the benefit to her to
go through all this trouble after she worked on a
project like this? What would be the benefit? Nothing but justice?
So a mom on kind of on Lively side on that, I.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Feel like I am too, unless there is just an
extreme miscommunication and you know how some people just don't
get their points across ever correctly, and that could be
Justin if he was defending himself wrongly.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
Yeah, I've never heard anything about Blake Lively being difficult
to work with or anything like that, you know, I
think I've.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Really heard it about Justin either. But yeah, I mean, yeah,
I don't think Blake would be doubling down so hard if.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
There wasn't true, true lawsuits. You're not just blowing money
like that for no reason. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yeah, So if we're saying that's also just like a
it's kind of like a giant of amber heard thing,
like it's a public at this point, it's like turned too,
like a public image thing.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, well for sure, defense. Yeah, but I mean that
makes sense to me too though. Yeau, that's your livelihood.
Everything that you do kind of is waited by what
the public thinks of you.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Her Blake livelihood. Wow, all I want of those.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
There's a video of Ryan Reynolds yelling at that dude.
I want to see it because that's got to be
the most lovable yelling ever I know's he's really mad,
like he's.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Super madle also so cute doing it like cracks a
joke in there too.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
I can't believe he just said that because it kind
of felt good but also bad. He insulted me, but
it felt really good. But you cross the lawn.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
I don't think there's any I love you in that way. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Speaking of lawsuits, we got another one. Apple is willing
to pay ninety five million dollars in a settlement over
the Sirie eavesdropping situation.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
She does a drop, of course, hold.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
On Apple is not admitting guilts, of course, not that
you're saying standard, that's not what they're saying, just saying
that they're willing to spend the money because they've been
accused of having Siri's virtual assistant eavesdropping on people going
through your phones, all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
But they're not admitting it. They're just willing to pay
ninety five months. Okay, But I Siri, do you eavesdrop
on conversations?

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Eavesdropping is the act of secretly or stealthily listening to
the private conversation.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
She dodged the question. She dodged the questions like a
solid politicians. She trained her correctly.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
But we got to keep asking because I've recently started
using Syria a lot more.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
It's really nice. It was actually pretty hilarious. Yesterday Victoria
tried to use Siri for like twenty minutes.

Speaker 5 (04:33):
She could have just googled the things she was asking her.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
What are you asking? Can't remember what it was? All right,
Well that's what's trending.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
And by the way, while you guys are saying all
that Siri was can continued listening the little Siria.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Ball was on my serial.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Yeah, she's definitely listening, and she's probably real pissed. Now said, well,
this is wild. Generation Beta has officially begun. Whoayarning New
Year's Day.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
A baby that's born is a beta.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Wow Beta between twenty five and twenty thirty nine a beta.
They say, by twenty thirty five, Gen Beta will make
up sixteen percent of the global population and many of
them will live.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
To see the twenty second century. What that's cool saying it?

Speaker 2 (05:10):
How come I can't do that? Maybe I mean, maybe
you will just take care of yourself.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Oh, I guess that's true.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
It's crazy to think about the twenty second century.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
What year is that? Twenty one hundred? What twenty two
second century?

Speaker 5 (05:23):
No, it doesn't work like that. We didn't start started
time twenty. We started at the number one like a
bunch of dummies.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Doesn't make much sense. I was having a Victoria moment. Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
And if you remember last year, we talked about how
Amazon was bringing Amazon Hall, which is a budget friendly section.
Well it's now here in full effect. It's a section
that you can go to on Amazon and you can
buy things for twenty dollars or less. And I feel
like this is kind of their answer to Timu, you
know that one website where everything is pretty cheap but
actually pretty good.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
I got a couple of sweaters from there.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
But the shipping is free if it's twenty five dollars
are over. Otherwise you have to pay three ninety nine.
But it's a great option and Prime members don't have
to be the only.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Ones that use it. You can use it otherwise. But
I feel like, because it's not English, but you.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Know, I'm handing on what you're buying, you can still
get it from a pretty cheap.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Well, right, But it's just options, like if you want
to be guaranteed that you're spending less than twenty dollars,
like on T shirts or all of this stuff. You
know what I just found out. You know your man
crush Brad Jeremy Allen, Jeremy Allen White, he made those
white T shirts really popular last year because of the
bear and all this stuff. Those white T shirts that
he was wearing that people all want to look like,

(06:35):
are like one hundred bucks minimum for a T shirt
like there are depends what brand it is quality.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
On a body like that.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
That's what I said myself in the mirror.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
I say that too, and then I have drinks and
I forget no. Okay, anyways, my point is that's here
if you're trying to save a dollar. And lastly, is
some good news from the I r S. Condoms are
now tax deductible. The I r S recently released some guidelines,

(07:12):
and part of it is that condoms now qualify as
deductible medical expenses on federal tax returns. You do have
to itemize your expenses, however, and the medical costs need
to add up to more than seven point five percent
of their adjusted gross income.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
In other words, the government's trying to figure out how
to get people to stop having a case.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
We're getting so ober popular. Yeah that's pretty wild. I
didn't think about it, but that is what's trending.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
I'm just gonna start buying a bunch of condoms, right,
throwing them up.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
People used to donate to charities for write offs, but hey,
you can also buy condoms.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
You could donate the condom. You can pass them on
the streets.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Yeah yeah, yeah, I'd rather just like make blue animals.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Wow, you really are a giver
