Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for Nina's what's trending?
Speaker 2 (00:01):
Have you guys seen what's been going on in La?
I feel like we need to talk about my wins. Yeah,
and it's every year almost, isn't it. And I bring
this up too because both Jubil and Brad have lived
in LA and know about this. But if you have
friends around that area, they're probably freaking out and preparing
for fires too.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
So the Santa Ana winds are going nuts.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
They were up to about sixty miles per hour, and
of course when that happens, fires spread. Yeah, so they're
calling it the Palisades Fire, and already tons of homes
have been destroyed, people are evacuating, and then, of course,
because it's trending, there are celebrities in fact that are
also going to be evacuating and close to being hit,
(00:40):
like Tom Hanks and Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Aniston.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
There's a lot of celebrities that live in that area. Yeah,
really Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
And the mayor actually or the governor, I'm sorry, has
made it a public state of emergency. I guess you
don't need to say public, but it's a state of emergency,
and so they were able to get funding to help
with the firefighters and all that kind of stuff. And
one of the things that was really nuts that I
was reading about is that while people were driving on
the freeway or whatever, they had to abandon their cars
(01:07):
and start running because the fire was getting so closely.
And then they had to bulldoze the cars out of
the way so that the firefighters could get through to
access these roads to fight these fires.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Yang, can you imagine you lose your home and your car.
That's so sad.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
It is so sad, and I feel like this is
a not for lack of a better word, a fire
drill literally every year, all the time.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
That area southern California.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
What do they do to prevent that? Is there any
way to prevent really do anything? Because it gets so dry,
you know, because it's a desert. Yeah, and then if
it gets windy, which they're supposed to have windstorms this
weekend in southern California, right, not good news.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
You actually can prevent it.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
You can clean the forest floor so it doesn't get
lit on fire. But they're not allowed to clean the
forest floor because environmentally they don't want to destroy the bugs' habitats.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Is actually, unfortunately it's political. It sucks. That makes I
wouldn't want to destroy like a habitat either, But then
it sucks that's going to get destroyed with the fires,
destroy our habitat, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
I mean and at this point too, thankfully people are
able to evacuate. I mean, that could really hurt a
lot of people as well. Yeah, so we're watching and
keeping our hopes with everybody that's fighting these fires and
families that are losing everything. I mean, we'll see how
this ends up playing out in the next few days.
But this usually goes on for a while. Yeah, yeah,
like how long?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Well, and because it's so residential, like it's it's taking
houses already, it's like that continues it longer.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
It's harder to stop that.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
I know that there are some celebrities that hire private
firefighters that are really separate private firefighters to come and monitors,
no idea, that monitor their home specifically, so it's not
even for the neighborhood. It's their own home that they've
hired people to fight fires and defend. I bring that up,
and then this actually goes into another story because now
(03:01):
there's a story saying that human humanoid AI robots are
entering homes and jobs in twenty twenty five. Do you
think that there would ever be robot firefighters? Like, is
there some way that a robotic fire fighting? Oh, I'm
sure something would be helpful. Well, remember we got you know,
bomb squads. Didn't used to have those bomb robots, but
they have the bomb robots. It's got to be a
(03:21):
way to send a drone or droid into a fire.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
I don't like those robots. Why they think they're the bomb. Wow,
you were smiling while you said that was terrible. That's horrible.
I was walking around like a bomb like it's funny,
but I'm rolling my eyes at the same time.
