Grocery Store Now Selling “Pop-Up Panic Rooms”

Would you like a panic room with your produce?

A major grocery store chain in Germany is now offering “pop-up panic rooms” — and they aren’t cheap. For just over $16,000, you can buy a reinforced steel panic room with bullet resistance strong enough to withstand rounds from a 9mm to a .44 Magnum.

The panic rooms come with customizable features like:

  • A bench
  • Magnetic lighting
  • A dry toilet
  • A variety of color options (though pink, red, and white are off the table)

If the full-size version is too much, a smaller and more affordable option is available for about $4,500. No word yet on whether there’s an option to stock it with snacks from the store!

Is it like one of those like make your own,
like you just kind of you buy, you buy it
like a shed. Yes, but if it's a panic room,
isn't like a tornado will like kind of.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Just blow it away.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Well, it's bullet resistant and it's made with reinforced deep.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
It sounds like it's a heavy pop up than.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
It's got to protect you somehow, so you don't want
it to be some flimsy panic that's especially if you're
gonna pay sixteen thousand dollars for the pop up panic room.
But there are also smaller and more budget friendly panic
rooms that you can get for four five dollars.

Speaker 5 (00:56):
Nice, So if we think about that for a second.
You pay more than that in rent over the course
of a year, but you own it.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Yeah, just buy a panic room.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Some people do in the many houses. Yeah, but then
they get in trouble because you put it in somebody's
backyard and you can't do that.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
Well, you can't just randomly put stuff in people's backyard.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
Right.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Anyway, So if you happen to be move into somebody's
backyard and pop up panic room, try to kick me
out here.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
The thing's bulletproof your neighbors, now. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
And the fact that you know I'm here as long
as I'm here, if I stay here for another ninety days, Yeah,
I live here.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I own it. Yeah. Those weird squads that great. I
don't know. That's a thing. Yeah, if they.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
Know you live there and you live there for a
certain amount of time, they can't kick you out.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
And certain states are a lot more on that side.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
So anyway, if you happen to be a music festival person,
there's one music festival, in my humble opinion, that I
think is worth going too so far this year, and
that would.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Be Lolla Police. I want to have seen the lineup.
It's amazing.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
So the headliners are A lit You, Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter,
Tyler the Creator, Luke Combs will be there. There's i
mean more Crazy Abram Crazy Abrams, Doci Artists.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Rocky those Black. Oh my gosh, it was on a Friday.
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Wait, yeah, she was actually here last week. Yeah, she
was performing.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I hear. She's actually pretty good now, Like it's.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
I mean, she's really been working on it for years. Really,
if you think about it, you know that I'm up.
I'm always up on Rebecca Black.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
I always Ryan Reynolds Anders and Rebecca Black following her career.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Since it's Friday, yeah, like, man, this girl is gonna
blow eventually, she's gonna blow up.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
I'm actually really happy for her because that's consistency. That's
like when you can't outwork the person that works the
hardest kind of a thing.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
I'll watch like DJ sets on YouTube sometimes, you know,
and I was watching this one like DJ thing that
they do, and then she's all she also DJs.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
I didn't even know she was on that video.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
And then they're like, all right, the first DJ is
Rebecca Black, and I was like, why is my life
Rebecca black.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
That's really.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
If you do decide to go to a festival that's
outside of the city that you live in, then Frontier
Airlines may be the one you go with, because ever
since Southwest announced that they will be charging you now
to bring bags, Frontier said.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Bet we won't.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
Day do you want to fly Frontier, there will be
free bags.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Frontier really does try with people, I will say, because
they said, first they're like, you know what, eight hundred bucks,
unlimited tickets wherever you want to go. There's blackout dates
and you can't go some places, but you know what,
wherever you want to go. And then now, ooh, south
FoST won't give you bags for free, we will bet
that's right, they'll charge you.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
They'll get it back. Yeah, we got.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
To and someone's got to pay for the fuel, and
that someone is you.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
It's a really cheaper ticket well as as it is,
that's the nice part of it, right, Okay, that's what's trending.
