Regulators Recall Nearly All Tesla Cybertrucks

Tesla’s Cybertruck is facing its eighth recall since its late-2023 launch, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recalling over 46,000 vehicles from the 2024 and 2025 model years.

What’s the issue?

  • The stainless steel exterior trim panel (cantrail) can detach while driving, posing a hazard.
  • Cold weather and improper adhesive are the main culprits.

Tesla will notify affected owners by May 19th and replace the faulty parts for free.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for Nina's what's trending.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
So, for the eighth time since twenty twenty three, the
cyber truck has been recalled.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Geez, that's a piece of this time.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
It's happening due to a defect in the stainless steel
exterior trim panel, which can detach while driving and pose
a rose a rose a road hazard. Yeah, panrel just
falls off, yang, So that's not good. These are cyber
trucks from twenty four and twenty five model years that
are being recalled. So it's actually affecting forty six thousand

(00:29):
Tesla cyber trucks. That's quite a bit. Then if you
have one, you'll be notified by mayne. I can't talk
May nineteenth in the mail whether or not yours needs
to go back. So why is it.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
So difficult for them to build that thing? My daughter
has a song about this, She made a song about
cyber trust.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
How does it go?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
She says. They say they're indestructible, but they are just
destructible cyber trucks.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
They suck. How old your daughter? Again?

Speaker 1 (00:56):
She's ten solid and she knows what's up. Great financial decisions.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Yeah, I've never experienced a recall though, So what happens
when you get recalled? Do you just give the car back? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:07):
And they fix it yeah, and then you get it back
right yeah yeah. Sometimes depending on what kind of recall
can be like hey, we just have to give you
a new car, right like the fifty Ford had to
recall on something for f one fifties a while back,
where the people who had the model with the thing
that wasn't working, they had literally had to give them
a new F one fifty.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Oh wow wow. At this point, I feel like Tesla
has had so many recalls. If you buy a Tesla
and you get a notification that it's getting recalled, they're
giving you so many warnings and not to buy this car, and.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
You still emails look so pretty.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
I mean though, like you just can't. If you are
somebody that has allergies, time to strap up, because forecasters
are predicting an above average pollen count season. So it's
going to be nasty for four or five weeks longer
than now. Do we know which four or five weeks
after that normally starts like now and then into the
fall essentially, is what they're saying. It's going to be,

(02:04):
like I don't know if this works for everybody, but
it was a great hack for me, and that's just
to eat local honey. So if you have local honey,
it helps your body like process. The Pallen different so
you're not so like, but it's like local and I
think it's within a few mile radius, so it's very
hard to find that. You know, well, farmer's markets and
stuff were usually in the place, but you know. And lastly,

(02:27):
people are losing their minds. One of their favorite summer
treats is going bye bye no Lipten's peach tea has
been discontinued and people are losing their minds on social
media because this is just their beloved peached iced tea peached.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
If you beloved, they would have been buying it. How
much did you really love that peach.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Business?

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Don't just pose? Were still just cancel stuff?

Speaker 2 (02:59):
We wait. So the first day that I read this,
there was no like extra and I just read the
last sentence. It was an early April Fools joke from lifted.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Oh, so you just got got with the early aperfumes joke.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
You just got got by liftin and so did you.
But now we're all caught up.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
We got got by trusting you what we got got by.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
I really like the peach t and that's pretty bad too.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
It's gonna be okay, guys, And that was Nina did
that story on purpose to make you aware that April
Fools is coming up.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Yes, I did, and the roller coaster was also on purpose.
So that is what's trending, and you're welcome.
