Self-Chilling Beer Cans Have Arrived

A game-changer for warm drinks is here. A U.K. startup, Delta H Innovations, is pitching its new “Cool Can” to beer and soda companies, promising to chill drinks in 10 minutes or less.

The secret? A button at the bottom of the can activates a chemical reaction that blends water with salts, instantly cooling the beverage. The insulation keeps it cold for up to 45 minutes, making it perfect for on-the-go refreshment.

Old-School Metal Braces Are Cool Now

Forget Invisalign—metal braces are officially trendy. The Washington Post reports that kids are now asking for traditional braces, with some orthodontists seeing them become a fashion statement.

A Tucson orthodontist says metal braces have become a “status symbol,” thanks to influencers and celebrities like rapper Lil Uzi Vert. Meanwhile, fake braces have started popping up on Etsy, but experts warn they can cause infections, tooth damage, and even choking hazards.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for Nina's what's trending?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
So is this on your twenty twenty five Bingo card?
Self chilling beer cans? Ooh, it's actually kind of cool.
There's this new invention by a company in the UK
and it's pitching their quote unquote cool can to beer
and soda companies. So what happens is you push a
button on the bottom of the can and then your
drink will get cold in ten minutes or less. Wow.

(00:22):
So there's some type of salt that they use. So
when you push the button, then there's like some science
stuff that happens that the salt blends with the water
and it makes it cold. There's a cooling reaction. So
it says it takes up to ten minutes, but then
they say that your drink will stay cold for up
to forty five minutes. Oh, kin's cool. I know literally.

(00:44):
So this is a trend too that's now sweeping the nation.
Kids are asking for old metal braces because they're cool.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Now.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
It's so much so your teeth, yeah, braces for your mouth.
The metal braces so much so that fake braces of
start to become a thing. On what a fake braces?
I don't know how they make fake braces, but it's
become such a trend that people want to wear them
no matter what. And some people are even saying that
influencers and celebrities have made them trendy and just got

(01:13):
them for show.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
It was like wearing glasses if you don't have a prescription. Yeah,
but you're wearing braces but you don't need them exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
That one feels a little bit more painful. Yeah, And
like you get food stuck in them, you have to,
like the band sometimes pop and those bands hurt. I
had them when I was a kid, and I.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Forgot to my hand when I was a little bit older.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
So now I need to get them again, but I
don't want to get them again. That's what I'm glad.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
For a long time, and I don't I would not
want them anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
I do remember when I was younger then everybody had
braces that we used to like take paper clips and
unfold them and put them in our mouths to pretend
like we had braces, and we would talk with these
like lisps because we thought it was cute. And then
so it like comes to me, it feels like.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
A flashback of that I've always been cute. Then try
on that to somebody who actually has brace Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
I had a friend in college who got them at
thirty five, was in grad school, and he hated it.
He hated every second of it. But he was like,
I gotta write this wrong.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
So they're looking around and seeing people like, isn't it
cute I have braces on? When you're like the pain
I feel in my mouth today because they just tightened
my brace.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Okay, but that that.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Means is rolling up the next to someone in a wheelchair,
or you know, you don't need a wheelchair, right, Yeah,
you're like, no minds for fashion?

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Oh you actually.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Okay, Well to that point, the fake braces, if you
were to go in that direction, experts are saying don't
because they can cause infections, tooth damage, and be a
choking hazard. So there's that. Okay. I love origin stories,
so you know, or Eata French fries, the frozen fries
that you can get, Yeah, flor Arita ones. Yeah, they
got hash browns.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Alrida tomatoes Oregon, Idaho.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Oh is that either called that or that's gay?

Speaker 3 (03:03):
It's right on the line between the two states.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Well, that wasn't part of the word story that I had,
I apologize. Or DA is going to be giving out
free tater tots in honor of a b y U
star who is in the sweet sixteen for the NCAA
Tournament because his name's Richie Saunders, because his great grandfather
is the person that founded or Rida. Wow, they give

(03:26):
him out. They're with the grocery stores that sell them. Yeah,
free tater tots. And then it's so cute. His little
face is on the bags, like, come on, you're making
your great granddaddy proud and making sure everybody says DA
as part of as the thing little. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I just say that you have a little face. I
just think his features are really close together, but his
head's big.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
You know. It's funny. I'm sorry not to go on
a tangent, but I used to work with somebody and
I would say things like that, like, oh that little whatever,
look at your little shoes. I just meant that they
were cute. Oh my gosh. He looked at me and said,
I'm a man, are you sir? There's nothing?

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Oh, but I think there might be with a reaction
like that, I think I think there might be something
that is little, and you're just a little.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
He's not a boy.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
I am a relad.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
It's a huge thing. It just triggered me a little
bit without you. Why you gotta be little things? Oh
my goodness, my bad. I meant cute. Okay, that's what's trending.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Your first day follow up is coming up right after this.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah, tell me about it. It's still scarred. Thank you.
