Speaker 1 (00:00):
Give us three minutes and we'll give you everything you
need to know for the day. But it's time for
Nina's what's trending.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
So we got phobo fomo and now we have faux po.
What's fobo do you suffer? Oh?

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Phobo is fear of a better option. Oh, fomo fear
of missing out. Yeah, And now faux po is fear
of people's opinions.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Oh. I don't think people in this room have fau po.
I've never had that.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
Yeah, I have JOm, which is joy of missing out.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
But you actually have that What do you mean I
do too? Sometimes? Seriously, seriously, the joy of missing out fun?

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Yeah, because like you don't see it as fun really
in the moment, you're like, I'm so glad I don't
have that obligation.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah that I'm just playing in my bed with my
clean sheets all cuddled up. Man.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
It happens to me a lot with concerts.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I love a concert.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
I can't skip a concert, I know.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
But like, like I'll see I'll see Victoria's stories. She's
at a concert somewhere in the world because she decided
to take off work for a concert, And I'll be
like that sounds like a lot of.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Work, but a great time.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
So fear of people's opinions is the new one, Hugh.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Fear of people's opinions. Yeah, sad they're calling it a
hidden epidemic. It is. I think that's why people suffer
from from it a lot. They lose confidence in themselves,
their performance, suffers everything. So constantly being worried about what
other people think of you, it's actually extremely detrimental.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I think it's always been a thing.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
I don't think we need to come up with a
name for it now, Like I feel like that's always
been a thing, and it's only gotten worse with social
media exactly right.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
And I think that's what's exacerbating it, because you get
afraid of posting and then you delete it or if
you shouldn't do it, and then everything gets suffocated inside
of you. So whether you post or not post, you
wanted to post, and now you feel it inside. So
social media is doing that to you. What is so funny?

Speaker 1 (01:46):
There are very few things that I'm thankful for for
the family that I was raised in, because my father
is a narcissist, abusive type dude, you know, But when
you're raised by a narcissist. They teach you to not
care about anybody's opinion, but there's basically you know, And
so I would get talkings to all the time when
I was a kid constantly how nobody's opinion matter. The

(02:06):
only opinions that matter are the ones that are closest
to you, right. But I did that did compute ultimately,
it helped because I never cared what anybody else thought.
Also it did at times was bad too because I
never cared what anybody thought. So I'd go into a
businessman and be like, I don't feel like talking to
day Scrowl. I don't know them really, like I don't
know how they are at home. I don't not like

(02:27):
you know, they could be bad people. I don't care
about their opinion. That's not the proper way to be.
You do have to kind of wear masks in certain
areas of your.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Life, like they don't know my life.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
I don't know that they don't know me.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
But it did help me out, you know, except you know,
because of that, I also choose to trust the wrong
people with the opinions that did matter to me. And
then that yeah, it was bad but outward but for
the most part, like nobody anytime. Maybe they tried to
troll me on social media or whatever. It never bothered me.
Some like whatever, I don't know you.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
But that's the other part of it. Though.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Some people's opinions matter. Some opinions matter to you, so
it's basically what you believe. But having fear is the
part that holds you back because sometimes an opinion is
something that helps you question, you know your reality, and
it helps you grow.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
So, I mean, this is a deeper conversation. I feel
like I could really go on.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
For a while, but but be careful of faux po. Next,
there are some parents. Parents are making headlines right now
because it's graduation season and the way they celebrated their
son's graduation is trending.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
They hired pole dancers to the party.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
Oh there were pole dancers all over the party. They
got pictures of their kid with the pole dancers, and
for some reason, people are judging this family for giving
their son poll dancers to celebrate his graduation. I mean
he's of age, he's eighteen.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
I mean, have you seen polled answers? That's it is
not easy. Let me just say it's like a show.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Yeah, question pole dancers has taken on a new meeting.
So do you mean pole dancers, Like were they in
workout outfits?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Yes, yeah, exotic dancers. I feel like that's a little different.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Yeah I might. I might be annoyed with that if
my if I had a kid and they went to
somebody's graduate.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
Yeah, yeah, it's not just about their kid, it's like
all the other y.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yeah, like why was I about it? That's ridiculous to
all cool parties? I don't think so your ground did
you still live here?

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Surprising? The surprising.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
The surprising thing is some of the kids just exited
during the performances.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Really, So that would make because they felt weird.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
I mean it would be weird to get your kid
a stripper, I think.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
And they got them multiple.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Mom got my friend a stripper for her twenty first birthday. Yeah,
it's a wild situation.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
But I mean, no judgment, do what you want. But
I do think there's something odd about that. I also
think that this generation isn't even into exotic anything, so
it just seems like an odd thing because they're constantly
uncomfortable and constantly dealing with faux pope.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah, these strippers are giving me social anxiety.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Well, ended up sutting it down on TikTok.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
They said social anxiety, so now I haven't and it's
caused by strippers at parties.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
It really exacerbates my ADHD.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
It worked though, because the police had to shut it
down a few minutes in and the school is going
to lock down an he's celebrating near school property.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Moving forward, did the shippers were on the school property?

Speaker 3 (05:18):
No, they were at their house. Oh the event, but
the event was close to the school property, so oh okay.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Interesting anyway, that's what's trying to take
