more and more Americans eighty nine percentof Americans are using subtitles now with the
stuff that they stream yet right,it could be movies, could be TV
shows. Sixty two percent say they'reusing them more frequently on streaming services.

So over at Amazon, the brain'sover at Amazon Prime Video decided they were
going to use AI to take basicallythe voice and boost it digitally while not
messing with anything else going on aroundit, so that people can actually hear
what's being said to conversation. Soso glad they're doing it. I mean,
how many times do you go,wait, what did he just say?

What are they talking about? Oryou either have to rewind it or
to your point, turn on thesubtitles, which to me is a bit
distracting. Well see, for me, I just kind of go with the
flow. It's all a part ofone big thing. But that's a d
h D gone wild. But mysignificant other, who does have some hearing
challenges, right, she watches showsall the time with those subtitles on.
And when I started watching them withher, I noticed that, you know

what, things were clearer. Iwas like, yeah, actually what they're
saying there's more clarity. Oh that'swhat that was supposed to be. It
sounded to me like Mark Charlie Brown'sparents. Isn't it funny? How back
the old fashioned way of watching television, this was never an issue, But
as technology has advanced, it's gettingharder and harder to understand people because it
wasn't really meant to be seen.I guess on smaller screen, right,

some of the stuff is produced forlike Imax Spatial audio through Apple TV or
Dolby at Miss sound or we tryto put all these soundbars on it.
The more we think things are soundingbetter, the worse the experience is actually
getting. So will people adopt thisnew idea of Amazon's I guess that remains
to be seen. But what wedo know is this, it's a groundbreaking
