in Minnesota, so it's not like I can just drive
out there and check. I called the caretaker yesterday and
he immediately went out in check. He sent me pictures
and he fixed it. Now, this might be part of
his job, but he was so kind and so helpful.

(01:26):
And grief is weird, even after nine years. It sneaks
up on me sometimes, and it's been sneaking up on
me this week. And so to get this news was really,
you know, having feel in some sort of way. But
his kindness meant everything to me.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Sometimes that's all it takes, is a little bit of kindness.
You know, I'm feeling good this morning.

I do over a friend's house eating dinner, ask for
hot sauce. They gave me a bottle of liquid stupid,
and me thinking I can handle any hot sauce, I
put that all over my plate, and needless to say,
out of pride, I forced myself to eat it because
everyone was like no, and I was like, oh, I
got this.

Speaker 6 (17:53):
I got this.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
Once upon a time, I used to love sarracha until
one night, in the middle of the night, I woke
up and I couldn't breathe, and I was like, I
had had too much saracha and sach is very spicy,
so spicy it's caused my throat to season. I couldn't breathe.
I was like, I didn't milvers that. Oh it's crazy

(18:17):
and is Robert? Good morning in a Manheim? What is
your spicy food story?

Speaker 7 (18:24):
My brother this one time pulled a dumb and dumber
trick on me. I went to the bathroom, and when
I came back, my burger was at the restaurant table.
I ended up taking a big bite out of that
and found out that my brother loaded it.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
Up with hot sauce.

Speaker 7 (18:35):
I almost peeped the burger was an edible after that, Oh.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Robert, to take a bite out of something and get
that explosion that you were not expecting, Yeah, that's awful.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
Sharing and Warrington, good morning, what's up?

Speaker 9 (18:47):
Once I decided to impress my friends by cooking a
spicy chili, I added what I thought was.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
A reasonable amount of hot peppers, but I clearly underestimated.
When it was time to eat, everyone's faces hurt and
red and we were all ready the.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
Latter girl, that's actually a blessing because nobody's going to
be asking you to cook again.

Next a story that we think might just make you
feel good as we get into this Friday and into
the weekend, you don't want to miss this cover. There's

(19:28):
so much bad in the news and in the world
that on Fridays here with Toby and Chilly in the
morning at ninety seven point one WASHCHEFM, we like to
take a second to feel good and this is one
of those stories which does just that. From right here
in the DMV or this family, they're literally running not

(19:48):
just here in the DMV, but across the country in
all fifty states.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
The Huff family, which is Jeremy and Kelly and their
two daughters, Campbell and Caroline, are working hard for the
Smile Train, which is the world's largest kluff flip in
Palette nonprofit. Now, the reason why this hits home for
them is because their own daughter, Campbell, was born with
a cleft and now the family is just dedicated to
really making people aware of the challenges faced by those

(20:15):
in the cleft community.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
And that's why they started the organization. And they just
stopped in Alexandria on the Mount Vernon Trail. They also
hit up the Jefferson Memorial, which Kat tells me is beautiful.
I've got to go check that out. Doing all of
this to raise awareness, to raise money. They're a military
family and they've raised one hundred thousand dollars plus to

(20:39):
help thousands of kids in more than seventy five nations
get the treatments they need so that they can live
with cleft palates.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
Seeing a family come together for such a good cause
gives me all.

Speaker 6 (20:51):
The good fields. It's so sweet.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
It makes you feel good too, doesn't it.
