Toby and Chili Mornings on demand on ninety seven point one.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Wash up out Friday morning. Ask yourself as we get
the day started, why are you feeling good? Before five?
It's ninety seven point one watch f M. Toby and
Chilly in the morning, Chilly after you? Yes, Well, why
are you feeling good today?
Speaker 3 (00:17):
I am feeling great because today is my son, Dinado's
eleventh birthday, and I thought i'd ask him what his
birthday wish was for everybody else?
Speaker 4 (00:27):
Peace on earth? What do you think that means? It
means that everyone gets along better? What would you love
to happen? Everybody is friends instantly when they shake. Can
we be friends? Oh that's a very nice wishbug. I
hope your wish comes true me too.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
I was gonna say, blow out the candles, but you
know what, we'll leave it at the belch. There you go.
Happy birthday to you?
Speaker 4 (00:50):
Oh yeah?
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Does I sing songs to you?
Speaker 3 (00:54):
You know?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
That's why I'm feeling good this morning. I was on
our install live last night talking with some of our
listeners and friends, and it was just very interesting to
play a game where they told me who they were,
where they were from, and what they did for a living,
and I sang customized Christmas songs on video. But you know,
the thing is is that I'm feeling good about is
(01:15):
that people took the time from their life just to
watch that.
Speaker 5 (01:18):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
There was no agenda, no plan, no whatever. It was
just like, hey, let's chat. It's been a long day.
I'm loopy, didn't get an app today. So I'm gonna
sing Christmas songs to you based on these three things.
And so people were firing off some things. And somebody's
mom's having a birthday and I can't remember her name
now because well last night was last night, and you
have ADHD your memory is like that of a nat
(01:41):
so Hey, Happy birthday to you. I enjoyed singing Christmas
songs to you. Happy birthday, Dinatoh, that's why we're feeling
good before or five this morning? And are you feeling
good this morning? What about what share your joy so
we can share that joy with you. Eight six six
nine two seven forty three six one is the number
we're Toby and Chilli in the morning as we get
(02:02):
into this Friday morning in the nation's capital coming up next.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
So with Halloween season, we want to ask you guys,
what would you rather do?
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Be scared or be the one scaring others?
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Talk back? Microphones wide open. If you're Sunday into your
iHeart app, feel free to jump in, amigos. Meet guys.
We're Toby and Chilli in the Morning. Welcome to the
last day of the work week as we close in
on Halloween, which is just days away. We're Toby and
Chilly in the Morning here at ninety seven point one.
Watch ye, fim. It's like an impromptu game of would
you rather? Would you rather get scared or terrify someone else?
(02:38):
Eight six, six, nine two, seven forty three sixty one
is the number here with Toby and Chilly in the Morning. Chilli,
you're shaking your head. No, what does that even mean?
Speaker 3 (02:45):
I don't like spooky season. I hate haunted houses. I
don't like being jump scared. So if I have to choose,
I'd rather be the one spooking other people out.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
What about you?
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Well, see, I'm kind of with you. I would like
to stir the pot and that's just what I do,
And so I'll scare you because I don't get scared
very easily at these haunted houses. I just I know
that you're going to try to scare me, so my
mind is heightened and ready for it. Yeah, anyway, that's us.
So we're kind of an eye to eye on that.
But that doesn't mean we're the only ones with thoughts
(03:15):
and opinions. Like Dylan, good morning in Vienna, Would you
rather get scared or terrify somebody else? And for bonus points,
you can throw in a why I.
Speaker 5 (03:24):
Would rather be the one terrifying somebody else. I don't
like being embarrassed. I would prefer to be in control,
and being terrified just seems embarrassing to me.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Embarrassing. That's interesting, I wonder why.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Well, it's because you know, you don't want to be
the butt of the joke sort of a thing, you know. Yeah, yeah,
I mean that can be a thing to some people.
You start to feel embarrassed by it, and then you
start to feel like it's just not cool. You're uncomfortable. Nikki,
good morning in North Potomac otherwise known as Gaithersburg. Would
you rather scare or terrify?
Speaker 6 (03:59):
I go ahead, much rather terrify someone else, Like, I
don't want to be scared. That's just like a real scare,
even if it's Halloween stays with me in my nervous
system all day. But scaring someone else it makes me laugh,
and I hope they're just in on.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
The joke, in on the joke or butt of the joke.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
Yeah, and don't forget revenge is a thing.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Kirby and Ford Washington and what you say.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
Oh, hands down, I would rather be scared.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
I am one of those guys who.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Absolutely enjoys being terrified.
Speaker 7 (04:31):
That's why when any theme park comes out with the
newest thrill ride, I'm on it. If I can go
to a haunted house during Halloween, I am there, scare
me and I am a happy guy.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
I guess you'll be hanging out at Markof's Haunted.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Forest eight sixty six nine two seven three sixty one.
Would you rather get scared or are you in the
terrified business? Hit us up. You can also drop us
a message via talkback if you're signed into your app.
Stay there your morning mindset on the way. It's the
fact that it this Friday wasn't enough to put you
in a good frame of mind. Ninety seven point one
(05:05):
WASHFM were Toby and Chilly in the morning. We thought
maybe we would pause to give you a little bit
of inspiration as we get into the weekend.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
And what is the morning mindset quote today from General
George S.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Patten. Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.
You got to hit the bottom to bounce back, and
that's where success is found. So don't worry about it.
Maybe you feel like you've been spiraling, maybe you feel
like things are out of control, are they really? General
Patton says, success is how high you bounce when you
hit the bottom. So don't be afraid of hitting the
(05:39):
bottom because that bounce, that's where your success and our
success will come from. Thank you, George Patten, and thank
you for listening to your morning mindset. If that helped
you or if you think it'll help somebody that needs
to hear it, find it. Toby and Chilli Page get
to WATCHFM dot com and check it out. Need some
entertainment news, You give us less than twenty minutes and
(06:01):
we'll tell you what you need to know with showbiz buzz.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Well, there may be a connection between Sean didty Comb's
and Jamie Fox's mysterious hospitalization.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Oh Lord, the plot thick Tyby and Chilly in the morning.
It's time for some entertainment news. We call it showbiz buzz.
Do tell you were alluding to some more of this drama,
and now Jamie Fox is involved.
Speaker 6 (06:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
So three different people who attended tapings of Jamie Fox's
Netflix special What Happened Was are now saying he talked
about allegations that Shawn Diddy Combs was the one who's
responsible for Jamie's mysterious hospitalization. Now, just last week, a
celebrity security guard said he knew Diddy quote unquote poisoned
Fox and also reiterated that Fox was the one who
(06:51):
reported him to the FBI.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
So, I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
The La County DA has recommended that Eric and Lylemanendez
be reseent entints for the nineteen eighty nine murder of
their parents, and they cited renewed public interest in the
case because of the new documentary in the controversial Netflix series.
They were, of course, eighteen and twenty one at the
time that they killed the parents, and their defense involved
allegations of sexual abuse. Former WWE boss Vince McMahon and
(07:18):
his wife are now being accused of allowing the sexual
exploitation of young ring boys back in the eighties and nineties,
a lawsuit that was filed in Maryland alleges they failed
to stop the open and rampant abuse of the ring
boys by ringside announcer Melvin Phillips Junior, who passed away
back in twenty twelve.
Speaker 4 (07:38):
And finally, this is kind of fun.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
One of the Washington Commander's touchdowns in their big win
against Carolina last week came on a play called Taylor Swift.
So the play run is where the tight end Ben
Sinnet goes in motion, runs to the outside, finds a
blank space in coverage, and ends up catching the pass
from QB Marcus Mariatta.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
And that is your showbiz buzz.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
I mean, she is a phenomenon of force, a cultural
force who's now taken over professional football ladies and gentlemen.
Taylor Swift coming soon to a us Miant near you
because she prints her own money. She's everywhere. Good stuff.

Speaker 3 (08:31):

no group has claimed responsibility for it, and researchers have
created a simple test to see if someone has what
it takes to succeed. The study found that believing in

Speaker 2 (16:12):
And that's one of the reasons why they started the
hog Farmer's Charitable Foundation. But there's another reason. The reason
that's insanely personal to Chris. His daughter battle pediatric cancer.
She went through sorry, she went through some troubles when
she was younger. I know the feeling of going through that,
and they turned that feeling into action.
Speaker 4 (16:34):

makes matters worse. My crush and all his friends made
fun of me for it for the rest of the year.
I'm totally over it now though doesn't.

Sound like it, Leslie, but thank you for calling.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Yeah, no comment.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
Wait, did something like that happen?
Speaker 2 (19:07):
Yeah at the National Zoo. Yeah, let's just say that
a rhino had to do with rhinos do. And when
the rhino did what the rhino did, it used its

You love it until it happens to you.
Speaker 4 (19:30):

a resentencing could pave the way for their release.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
But first it's got to be approved by it judge.

Now, Are you still training for your five K? I
know you want to walk it coming up in Disney.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Sometimes there's a reason why I've been pretty quiet about that.
It's this week.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
Come. Oh, how's that going?
Speaker 2 (21:23):
I want to well chilling. Have you ever had that
feeling like right before you're going to do something, that
feeling of doubt like you're not ready?

You said just moments ago that you're feeling a little
bit doubtful when it comes to walking a five k
in Disney next week.
Speaker 4 (22:12):
What is going on?
Speaker 2 (22:13):
I just don't think I'm ready, and I'm kind of
teetering between not being ready and fear. If you know
what those emotions feel like, and we all do somewhere
in between the two stuck there?
Speaker 4 (22:26):
Why is that hell stuff?
Speaker 5 (22:28):
You know?
Speaker 2 (22:28):
I don't know that my body's ready to tackle the
three miles out of a treadmill, because like a treadmill
of gim that's a controlled environment. This is outside. I
don't know what the tracks even like, and I don't
know if I'm ready for it, and it's my leg
heeled enough that I can do it? And am I
going to be out of breath and.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
My okay, hold on, why are you doing it then?
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Because it's important to my significant other, therefore it's important
to me.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
But what is it in it for you?
Speaker 2 (22:53):
If I finished, I can say I've finished and I
actually got it done. I just want to finish it
because that, to me is the win. Yes, And so
I will walk with my head hell the high in
pursuit of that goal, dressed in a costume of some
Disney character walking around the Magic Kingdom and the wee
(23:14):
hours of the morning, which is when the race starts.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
