Toby and Chilly Mornings on Demand on ninety seven point one.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
One of the best things about life is that there's
always something to be happy about, even before five. So
why are you feeling good this morning? Before five o'clock?
Toby and Chilling in the Morning at ninety seven point
one wash CHFM. I'll tell you that my saving grace
in life this week, God willing, is that I have
a mechanic, my own car guy that I trust, and
(00:29):
I'm hoping he doesn't bankrupt my Christmas.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
Fund, because do you already have somebody.
Speaker 4 (00:34):
Or I do?
Speaker 2 (00:35):
I do know I do my cars in the shop,
So I took an uber in this morning, and I
haven't done that in well since I started doing mornings
over here at ninety seven point one was Chef m
But I will tell you I'm hopeful that he is
honest with me. I'm hopeful that this what's it called,
this vehicle warranty, this ectended warranty, will cover some of
(00:57):
whatever is wrong, if anything, But I try my guy,
and so I'm gonna have to just take him at
his word, and God willing, there'll be something left over.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
For Christmas that's good and something for you to drive.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
That's right, because I'm not driving right now. If it's
gonna end up being a bit I might end up
going to rent something. But you know, hey, you'll have
these things. Thank god, I'm at least in the position
to where I can take care of it if I
have to.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
That's right.
Speaker 5 (01:22):
And how about you This morning.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
I'm looking forward to a little happy hour with co
workers today. I don't usually get to do those things,
but today I'm going to make time because I have time,
so I'm very excited about that and stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yeah, there we have a little shin dig over at
the what's it called downtown Crown, Kentland's neck of the
Woods this afternoon, rio in the middle of rush hour,
which should be fun getting home.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
Well, I'm thankful that I have family that live in
Montgomery County where I can crash for an hour or
two to kill time so that I don't have to
go to Tyson's only to go right back up to Moco.
Speaker 5 (01:58):
So you'll have these things. Yeah, you'll have these things.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
It's good. It'll be good to see people that work
other day parts, not just in the morning time.
Speaker 5 (02:07):
Sure.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Yeah, stuff, Well, then that's a little bit later on
today should be fun. In the meantime, let's get everything started.
It's ninety seven point one wash FM, where yesterday we
were talking about getting banned from different places and you
had some things to add to the conversation. Feel free
to jump in at eight sixty six ninety seven forty
three sixty one. That's the number with Toby and Chile
(02:28):
in the Morning and your thoughts on getting banned. What
happened to you? We'll get to that coming up next.
Yesterday on the show, producer Taylor Shay was telling us
about a friend of hers who got banned from a
tanning salon ninety seven point one wash FM Toby and
Chilly in the Morning at eighty sixty six ninety two
seven forty three sixty one.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
Now you would think that that was a very unique occurrence,
but apparently not.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yes, lots of people are getting banned at different places.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
What's your name and where are you from?
Speaker 6 (02:55):
My name is Martis from Randallstown.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
So what happened?
Speaker 7 (02:58):
Oh boy?
Speaker 6 (02:59):
So you go to amusement park out in Ohio somewhere
and we're walking through the place. You know, found an
amusement park area. We've never been to it in the
park before. Oh this will be fun.
Speaker 7 (03:09):
Walked in there.
Speaker 6 (03:10):
Man, This thing had teacups and it was about as
tame as a bag full of air. So I decided
during the rides to get out of the ride and
become part of the ride itself. So I'm standing next
to the werewolf, the Mummy, and it's me. So when
the lights cut off, I get out. Damn when they
come back on and you come around, it's a whole scarefest.
(03:30):
It was enjoyable six minutes that I've had My life.
Problem was I was being recorded the whole time on
sixteen cameras. So when I get back in the ride
at the end, they shut the whole ride down. The
emergency lights come on and hear somebody say everybody please
at you say to living in man, Frank come out.
They take me out the ride, and then I go
down and commute. The cops are waiting for me and
(03:52):
they take me and say, well, you got to be
banned for the next year.
Speaker 7 (03:56):
Right the ride.
Speaker 6 (03:57):
I wouldn't trade it for a minute.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
Though, Well you said it was the greatest joy ride.
I don't know how the other writers felt about you
spooking them during the teacup, right.
Speaker 7 (04:09):
You've never forget it.
Speaker 6 (04:11):
I'm made for thanks given stories.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
You know.
Speaker 6 (04:13):
What I've been saying about was if I was here
at the wrong person, then I might be all from
second degree charges.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
I didn't.
Speaker 6 (04:19):
We thankfully everybody enjoyed something.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Right, except for you. You won't be going back to
this place for at least a year.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
Not at all, not at all. Thanks for what y'all doing.
The radio and take care.
Speaker 8 (04:30):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Over to Arlington, Alice. You got banned. What happened?
Speaker 8 (04:34):
I was sending bar at the gold Mine in Waldorf, Maryland,
and my husband needed a bartender.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
He owned.
Speaker 9 (04:41):
He owned the bar, and I had.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Never done it before, and the customer said, if you
make a mistakes, you got to drink it.
Speaker 6 (04:47):
So I did and I got tiy and he.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Came in and told me to get out and never
come back. Wow. I hope he didn't say that about
your marriage. I hope you stayed married.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
We've been together a long time.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
But the bar was there for forty two years. But yeah,
I got barred, I got banned, and then and then
he let me come back in. Yes, but no more
making drinks for you.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
God knows how that ended.
Speaker 2 (05:08):

Speaker 2 (05:30):
This is where we speak some motivation unto you well.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
In the form of a quote that we find on
the Internet of things. What is the one you've chosen
today this morning?
Speaker 2 (05:40):
I have found something very powerful from Thomas J. Watson,
who says the way to succeed is to double your
failure rate. You know, no great success in life, business,
anything you do comes without failure, and you can't be
afraid to fail, and so embrace it. The way to
succeed is to double your failure rate, because the more
(06:03):
you fail, the more you're trying. And that's more than
you can that's more than other people can say. So
go ahead, embrace the failures today and then there's the
successes that come with them. Thomas Jerry Watson. That's your
morning mindset four this morning. Hopefully it helps If it does,
share it with someone who might need to hear it
just like you. You'll find it at Toby and chillipage
(06:25):
washefm dot com Here at eighty seven point one WASHFM.

of an eye infection from early this year.
Speaker 6 (07:00):

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Despite the vision problems in both of his eyes, Elton
says he remains optimistic about his condition and he is
focusing on improving his eyesight. James Van Derbeek is selling
autographed Varsity Blues jerseys to help cover treatment costs for
his colorectal cancer. He announced on Instagram that proceeds will
(07:20):
support families who are facing some major cancer expenses, including
his own, saying hashtag cancer is expensive. Angelina Jolie got
a really big legal victory against Brad Pitt, with a
judge ordering Brad to provide documents potentially supporting her claims
of abuse during their relationship. Her team claims that those
(07:43):
documents may reveal communications concerning abuse, lies to authorities, and
years of cover up. Nikki Bella discussed her divorce from
Artem Chignenseev on her podcast, reflecting on how their relationship
went from being a great love story to a terrible one.
She revealed after the breakup and Ardam's August arrest, she
(08:05):
was left shocked and emotionally drained, and right now she's
trying to protect their son. And American University has invited
actor Sean Aston to speak in this month's commencement at AU.
He recently received his master's degree in public administration policy

Speaker 9 (08:45):
Top stories top of the hour.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
President elect Trump is telling Hamas to release the hostages
before he takes office on January twentieth, and he says
those responsible will be hit harder than anybody else has
been hit in the history of the US. The husband
of a Manassas Park woman who's been missing since late
July is being charged with her murder. Naresh Bot, We'll
(09:08):
be back in court later today to be formally charged
with first degree murder and also defiling a dead body
following a grand jury indictment. Angela also Brooks a step
down from her position as Prince George's county executive as
she gets ready to be sworn in as a US Senator.
Chief Administrative Officer Tara Jackson's going to be acting as
(09:29):
the interim county executive until a special election for that
position is held next year. NBC Washington announced yesterday that
their anchor Leon Harris is going to be stepping away
from the anchor desk to focus on some health issues.
That announcement comes after Harris appeared unwell and stumbled over
his words during a newscast on Thanksgiving. Charities and those
(09:52):
who are in need could really use some help on
this Giving Tuesday. The event, which launched back in twenty twelve,
asks people to give money, time, or support to any
number of causes, communities and also nonprofit organizations and your
twenty twenty four word of the year. This, according to
Oxford English Dictionary, is actually two words, brain rot. It
(10:14):
is a supposed deterioration of a person's intellectual state due
to the overconsumption of material that's considered to be trivial
or unchallenging. Forecast for today sunny and forty the high
right now twenty eight in Gaithersburg.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
So coming up in just a little bit with Toby
and Chile in the morning. Let's see you have made
a revelation thanks to the algorithms on Facebook and Instagram
and such. Chile, Yes, what would you say in one word?
Is that discovery you've made unexpectedly? Well, unexpected unexpectedly when
(10:50):
it comes to the algorithms, what is so unexpected? You'll
find out in minutes, because chances are good it's happened
to you. We'll get into it coming up. Toby and
Chilly in the Morning continues Good Morning eight six six,
nineteen seven forty three sixty one Toby and Chili in
the Morning Talk back. Microphone wide open for you too,
if you want to jump in and use your voice
(11:11):
while we talk, because it is about you, and as
much as it's about what Chile found thanks to these
algorithms that influence some purchases, what's going on?
Speaker 5 (11:22):
Look?
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Normally I do not trust ads on social media, the
ones that pop up them. Sometimes they are like offensive,
quite honestly, I'm like, why would you think I would
want to buy this? But for whatever reason, this year
it has been spot on and I have fallen for it,
and I am very pleased with what the algorithm has present.
Speaker 5 (11:41):
Welcome to the club.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
I've been just throwing money away at things that pop
up in front of me all year.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
I don't know why it took so long for them
to get it right.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
I don't you know. I don't know you.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Did you search anything specifically this year that might have
popped up?
Speaker 5 (11:56):
Was there something in an email?
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Or so?
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Is there something you Google searched because it remembers everything.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
Unique gifts for kids, non electronic gifts for kids. And
after I did that, like a day or two later,
all these different products, you know, commercials or videos started
popping up, and I bought two of them just yesterday
for my son. And yeah, what I do is, once
I see that ad, I'm still not that trusting, right,
I go, when I do a separate search for that
(12:23):
product to see if there are reviews on it, if
there's a legitimate website for it, and then I buy it.
So far, so good. And you know, like I said,
now that we're on par on the course here, I'm
gonna get all my shopping done this week.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
The only thing I would would cost you to remember
is this here we get. You know, sometimes these things
that you buy on those ads, they come from like
these warehouses, like you know, overseas some other place, so
you don't know exactly when they're going to show up.
So I would make sure that if you're getting something
as a Christmas gift, you order it early and you
(12:59):
can kind of check the comments and some of this
stuff to make sure that they show up. In Tom Morrelse,
there's gonna be nothing in somebody's stocking. They're gonna be
a little leging.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
That's fair will. I will pay extra close attention to
the window of delivery whenever that may be.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
But that's good stuff. Those algorithms, they're always listening. Maybe
you've bought something from an algorithm, a gift or something
you didn't expect and then it just popped up in
front of you. If you've had this happen, feel free
to tap that talk my crankophone and tell us all
about it. We love hearing your stories and good luck.
I hope that everybody likes everything you bought off of
(13:35):
your online ads from Instagram, Facebook and more.
Speaker 9 (13:39):
Shelby and Chilly's nearly impossible question.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Fourth Road tickets Trans Siberian Orchestra up for grabs this
morning thanks to Live Nation.
Speaker 5 (13:47):
Here's the question.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Okay, so sixty percent of people add this to their
Christmas card every year?
Speaker 5 (13:52):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Eight six, six, nine, two, seven forty three sixty one.
You've got the question, get it right. You're gonna go
see tso sit in the fourth row. Thank you Live
Nation when they come to town just before Christmas. Here's
the question one more time.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
Sixty percent of people add this to their Christmas card
every year? What is it?
Speaker 2 (14:12):
Eight six, six, nine, two, seven, forty three sixty one.
If you know the answer to the question, call now,
get it right when it's your nearly impossible question. It's
on ninety seven point one Wash FM right now.
Speaker 9 (14:25):
Toby and Chilly's nearly impossible question.
Speaker 5 (14:27):
Good morning, Brendan and Glenwood. How are you?
Speaker 1 (14:30):
I am Drid, How are you?
Speaker 5 (14:31):
Tiby and Jill?
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Really good now that we're talking to you, because you've
made our week.
Speaker 5 (14:37):
Yes you have all right?
Speaker 3 (14:39):
You had that effec on people.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
For the fourth row Trans Siberian Orchestra tickets. Here's the
question again, just in case somebody might be tuning in
now tuning on upper Buddy that missed it earlier.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Sixty percent of people add this to their Christmas card
every year?
Speaker 9 (14:55):
What is it their pets name?
Speaker 3 (14:57):
Have you done that? Have you added your pet's name
to your card?
Speaker 6 (15:00):
My wife, Rachel has I would die before I write
it down.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
I would be diplomatic.
Speaker 6 (15:05):
I just choose not too often.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Yeah, well, what's more like she's always right? And if
she wants to add the name to the card, that's
our business because she is your wife right, she is, indeed,
and so she'll be going with you to see Trans
Siberian Orchestra to sit in the fourth throat. Thanks to
Live Nation, because that is the answer. Congratulations, we will
feel the flames, Thank you very much. And the pets
name added to the Christmas card. That is an interesting, interesting,
(15:31):
interesting thing to learn this morning. And that's the point
of your nearly impossible question to help you learn something
new with a little help from Brendan from Glenwood who
listens to his wife when it comes to adding the
pets name to his holiday cards.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
That's the only thing.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
Yeah, Brendan, Congratulations.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
And then we'll be back tomorrow morning with third row
tickets to go see the TSO at Capitol Win Arena.
Speaker 5 (15:55):
Thank you, thank you, You're welcome. Welcome.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Stay there for the news that's on in minutes with
Toby and Chile in the.
Speaker 9 (16:01):
Morning Top Stories, Top of the Hour.
Speaker 3 (16:06):
President elect Trump is having investment banker Warren Stevens as
US Ambassador to the UK. Stephens served as president, chair
and CEO of his company, Stevens Incorporated for thirty eight years.
Five people were injured after a red truck and tractor
trailer crashed into a condo in Woodbridge. This happened early yesterday.
Several residents were displaced and the cause of that crash
(16:30):
is still under investigation. A Texas woman has been arrested
at Dallas Airport for allegedly trying to smuggle seventy one
pounds of marijuana into another country. The street value of
those drugs was estimated at over three hundred thousand dollars.
Angela also Brooks has resigned as Prince George's county executive
as she gets ready to be sworn into the US Senate,
(16:52):
so Chief Administrative Officer Tara Jackson's going to be acting
as the interim county executive until a special election is
held next year. First Lady Jill Biden welcome National Guard
families to the White House yesterday to give them a
look at their Christmas decorations. Eighty three Christmas trees are
on display this year, and the White House expects over
(17:13):
one hundred thousand visitors through the end of this month.
And according to a recent study, people who feel like
they have more power in their current relationship are the
ones who are most likely to cheat. Researchers say that
this leads to the person believing that they're more desirable,
which leads them to seek out other partners. Forecast for
(17:34):
today sunny skies, highs around forty right now twenty five
in Woodbridge.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
For whatever reason, we let ourselves go. Some people say
it's being lazy. I say lazy is a term of endearment.
There might be something you're lazy about this holiday season.
What is it we want to hear from you? At
eight six six nineteen seven forty three sixty one. Can
also jump in with the talkback microphone if you're signed
into your iHeart app listening to us. What is it
(18:01):
you're lazy about when it comes to the holidays, Not
gonna judge, Just want to hear from you a really
good story and we will coming up. It's Toby and
Tilly in the morning. Continue, stay right there, Toby and
Tilly in the morning. It is ninety seven point one
wash FM. Let's be honest when the holidays come about
at times, and we're not gonna judge.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
We do get lazy about some things.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
And for some reason, I'm noticing that more and more
people this Christmas seem to be I don't like using
the word lazy because of the negative connotation.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
No, but it is. It's being lazy. Ill we can
call ourselves out on stuff. I can tell you right now,
we only put up the tree this year. Usually I
put up stuff on walls and different rooms, the banister,
all of it. Nope, just a Christmas tree that's always do.
Speaker 5 (18:47):
It's more than I've done none. I've done none of
it for me.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Honestly, I feel like, you know, because Thanksgiving was so
close to December, It's almost like the two seasons kind
of ran together because of the late Thanksgiving.
Speaker 5 (18:59):
So now I'm just like, yeah, I'll get to it eventually.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
You will eventually get to it. I mean, there could
be other things, and we're not just saying you're lazy
about the Christmas stuff. It could just be in general
you're just not you're just procrastinating more than usual. Maybe
you're just putting it off. You're just not you. You're
not at your best.
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Do you mean you didn't do your Cyber Monday shopping,
after your small business Saturday shopping, after your Black Friday shopping. Oh,
that's put off too.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
Again.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
One of the things that some people are being lazy
about just because I.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Think that productivity goes down this time of year for
the same reason. You're just you're burnout. You're honestly you're burnout,
and so we are giving you a pass, so to speak.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
The best description I heard was yesterday I was having
a conversation with somebody we work with who says to me,
they're literally counting down the days until they get to
get out of here for Christmas break. And I'm like, well,
seventeen days in a wake up exactly right, seventeen days
in wake up and I'll be off where it's warm.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
That sounds like my eleven year old who's counting down
the days before break.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
It's like it's like, yeah, it's well, you know, it's
a little bit different, a little bit.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
Different, but nonetheless it is the same.
Speaker 2 (20:12):
Although your your brother, your your son is probably very productive,
you know what I mean, some people are, you know,
just putting off everything, Like oh, you know, I was
trying to lose weight. I'll get to it later. I
was trying to do this, I'll get to it later.
I meant to redo my kitchen, rich redo the living room.
I'll get to it later. What are you being lazy about?
(20:33):
We'd love to hear from you. Eight sixty six nineteen
seven forty three sixty one is the number. Talkback microphones
are also wide open for you too if you want
to jump into the conversation.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
Tell us.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Like we said, we're not going to judge. We just
want to know that we're not the only lazy ones.
Is the year winds down, so reach out to us
and we'll hear your stories. Coming up with Tibe and
Chilly in the morning as the show continues. And speaking
of stories, another one of your crazy first date stories
on the way. This one involves rollbacks of the price persuasion.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Well, no, not of the price persuasion. It's actually a
proposal that came in the most unlikely place for CC
in King George.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
I wonder if she would roll that back.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
We'll find out in minutes with another one of your
crazy first date stories.
Speaker 5 (21:20):
Don't miss this next.
Speaker 9 (21:22):
It's Telly and Chilli's crazy first date in King George.
Speaker 5 (21:26):
CC.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Good morning, welcome, and we can't wait to hear this story.
It's crazy, I hear, so go for it.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (21:32):
Well, I had been recently divorced and my best friend
did not like the guys I had been dating, and
then set me up with somebody, and I told him
I'm going to be getting home really late. He's like, look,
just come over meet him. If you like him, spend
the night and we'll all go out tomorrow and you
can have you know, your first date with him whatever.
(21:53):
And I met him and I liked minofks. We all
were going to go to Mexico and we a mall
on the way, and when we were in the mall,
I saw Kmart and I said, ooh, I loved collect
uring vinyls to me. And I thought, okay, let's see
if he can deal with my music obsession. And I
told him, I said, do you think I'm crazy?
Speaker 3 (22:13):
I collect records?
Speaker 8 (22:14):
And he goes, I.
Speaker 9 (22:15):
Think you're perfect.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
Will you marry me?
Speaker 8 (22:18):
And I laughed because I thought he was joking. He
was serious and I had known him just a few hours.
Speaker 5 (22:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Literally, you were being convinced to spend the night with
this guy. Then you were going to go to Mexico.
You stopped at the Walmart, you looked at the violin.
Now he's asking if you can get married.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Yes, okay, so you laugh it off. He says, I'm serious.
Does the awkwardness continue?
Speaker 6 (22:38):
How does?
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Well?
Speaker 8 (22:39):
It was awkward I was like, oh, I'm sorry. I laughed.
Speaker 9 (22:42):
I really thought you were joking.
Speaker 8 (22:44):
I mean, I've only known you a few hours, and
he said, I already know you're perfect. Imagine he basically said,
I checked all his boxes. I told him, I said, well,
if this were to progress and you ever did ask
me to marry you again, please don't do it at
a kmart. Make it something prepared. We did keep dating,
and he must have asked me about twenty more times.
(23:06):
Never did it right, and he asked me again, and
I finally just said, well, you're never going to do
it right, so I guess.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Well, so, in spite of the fact that he popped
the question on the first date that the Kmart in
the vinyl section, you still ultimately said okay.
Speaker 8 (23:23):
It kind of really just set the tone for the
marriage and it lasted twelve years.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
I'm glad he didn't scare you off with that very
unusual abrupt proposal. It turns out it worked out for
at least twelve years.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
Yeah, he did something right for a little bit.
Speaker 8 (23:37):
Yes, it was just really surprising to be proposed to
after knowing someone just a few hours.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
Well, CEC, thank you for sharing that with us.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
It's very crazy. Everything you went through, You've given us
a lesson on how not to do things. If we
want to actually hear a yes to a proposal, and
so we would like to say yes. We have a
proposal for you.
Speaker 3 (23:57):

those who are in need, could you really use some
extra help on this Giving Tuesday. This was launched back
in twenty twelve, and the event asks people to give money, time,
or even support to any number of causes, communities and
(25:26):
also nonprofit organizations. And according to a recent survey, fifty
five percent of employees say they feel more appreciated during
the holiday season than any other time of the year,
and the number one thing that makes workers feel appreciated
is thank yous from their direct boss. Forecast for today
sunny Sky's forty. The high right now twenty six in Lantham.
Speaker 5 (25:49):
All right, all right, so here's the thing.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
A little bit earlier, we were talking about ways you
feel lazy. Now that we're toward the end of the year,
Lazy ain't necessarily a bad word. But is there something
that you've been lazy about? Eight six six ninety two,
seven forty three sixty. When it's the number talk back

you're signed into your iHeart app, Tap speak send it,

Speaker 2 (26:17):
It's Toby and Chilly in the Morning, DC, thanks for
waking up right here. It is true that this holiday
season people do seem to be I use the word
lazy as a term of endearment. Ninety seven point one
Wash FM, where Toby and Chilly in the Morning eight
six six ninet two, seven forty three sixty when you
can also use talkback if you want to jump in.
But the truth is there are things we're lazy about
(26:40):
when it comes to Christmas this year. For whatever reason. Yeah,
maybe it's just that we're burnt out. Maybe it's just
like Chili was talking about, you don't feel like decorating
for whatever reason.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
We only put up the tree this year. Usually it
looks like Christmas exploded in our house, but not today,
not now.
Speaker 5 (26:57):
Yeah, that's my significant other. She's on tree number four.
Speaker 6 (27:00):
Me.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
I'm on shrees zero, right, now I don't even have
the inflatable baby Yoda up yet.
Speaker 5 (27:05):
I'm just behind.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
And don't even get me started on holiday shopping on
a budget. I'm gonna put that off as long as
I possibly can. Why lazy, but I embrace it. And Shelley,
we're not alone, Keisha in Front Royal, what is it
you're lazy about this holiday season?
Speaker 3 (27:24):
Writing holiday cards? Well, you're not alone on that one.
I'm just too lazy to give them. So what I'll
do is I'll just send out a text with like
a snowman or something like a snowman emoji. I can't
call it a day as long as it's not a
group text.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
That still counts a group text as a holiday card
would be the epitome of laziness.
Speaker 5 (27:42):
Like really, it would be no offense.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Now, Michael and silver Spring, you're lazy about what's during
the holidays?
Speaker 7 (27:49):
Exercise, working out? I just you know, there's too many
holiday parties, there's too much food. Like once Thanksgiving hits,
it's like the playoffs for the end of the year.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
And that's why in January people have a resolution to
lose that weight.
Speaker 7 (28:01):
It's just really hard to go to these holiday parties
and then all of a sudden the next day, go
all right, I gotta go back to the gym.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
You know, seems to be a recurring theme. Stephanie, Good
morning in Silver Spring. What's up? You're lazy about what?
Speaker 3 (28:15):
I do not exercise during the holiday season.
Speaker 9 (28:18):
Because I just don't.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
I just I just want to sit around. I want
to bake, I want to lay on the couch and
watch Christmas movies. I want to just not so I
get really bad about it. Hey, now that's called self
care and it's okay.
