Toby and Chili Mornings on Demand onninety seven point one. The group text
says, this morning, to makesure we're all up, well, to
make sure I'm up. If we'rebeing honest, ninety seven point one was
CHEFM, We're Zobe and Chilly inthe morning. I think you said it's
my Friday. Well it is.I mean, you do have the next
couple of days off, but it'snot for a Friday sort of a reason.

(00:22):
No, I'm having a surgery today. And just to be clear,
I'm off more than just a coupleof days. I hope you know that.
Yeah, Okay, I was like, oh no, did they tell
you I was only going to beout. No, I'm just I'm just
prepared for anything, you know, you know how it is. Yeah,
I just operate in the center ofa storm of chaos. Well, and
you know what's interesting is I didwant to clarify that because sometimes in any

(00:45):
office or work setting, you communicate, you don't remember exactly who you communicated
what too. Does that make sense? Yeah, I'm like, I'm pretty
sure I told the whole team thatI was going to be out a certain
but I know I told my managersand so there's there's always that question mark,
what you guys do know, I'mgonna yeah, I think we're all
guilty of it, if we're ifwe're being honest, I think there are
times when you know, like,I'm guilty as sin of this. I

(01:07):
just hit reply to the person who'sasking the question, and I'm not super
concerned about everybody that was see seedon it, you know, right right,
And that can create issues and createproblems, and then it's like,
wait a minute, did I justmiss something or how come this is happening
and you were on that email? And I'm like, oh, oh,
exactly. We live in a worldof too much information these days, and

(01:30):
there's like too many levels of authorizationsometimes or communication sometimes. But of all
the people, I just really neededto have, you know, Yeah,
I mean I'm gonna walk in andI'm gonna look across the counter and I'm
not gonna see you, and it'sgonna make me feel some sort of way,
and then I'm gonna be like, well, all right, then,

(01:53):
I guess we're just gonna figure thisone out as we go. It's funny,
it's funny, No, it's it'sbut it is. It is a
thing. You know, there isjust so much information flying around and sometimes
you're guilty of just not and it'snot anybody's fault. It just happens,
you know. Yeah, give yourselfa little grace and good luck with everything

(02:15):
today. I know we'll probably talka little bit more about it coming out,
but it's a thing, and yourbody and your health and your wellness
are important, and don't apologize fortaking care of all of the above.
Period in sentence, it's ninety sevenpoint one WASHFM. W'ere Toby and Chilly
in the morning. Welcome to thisWednesday of seventeenth of April. Coming up

(02:36):
in just a few minutes. Theyfigured out what everyone's most stressful time of
day is. But would you agreewith the assessment? Well find out in
minutes as Toby and Chilly in theMorning continue. Eighty six six, ninety
two, seven forty three sixty oneis the number where Toby and Chilly in
the Morning it's ninety seven point oneWASHFM and the talkback microphone open if you're
listening this early morning five am clubon your iHeart app and you want to

(02:59):
get involved. Science has now foundout, after doing research, the most
stressful time of day is eight fifteenin the morning, and it's because that's
usually when people are trying to scrambleto get out the door with themselves,
the kids and everything before work inschool. That's what they say. I
don't know that I would agree witheight fifteen in the morning, because we're
almost done with work at that timefor us. Yeah, like you know,

(03:22):
I would say, like for me, it's like twelve fifteen, twelve
thirty in the morning, and that'safter the first alarm starts going off yet,
But that's then that's your eight fifteenin the morning. That's well,
it's kind of like I'm trying saying, like, it's still it's still the
beginning of your day, right, which I find to be interesting because it
is the opposite. For me,my stress quote unquote stress tends to come

(03:44):
towards the end of the day becauseI have them in my mind all of
the things that I still need toget done before I go to bed,
and or all the things I haveon my plate for the following day.
Does that make sense? Sure?Yeah, No, it's always like this,
but it's the end of the day, ste Yeah, No, for
me, it's getting up and forme it's like making sure that I'm awake

(04:05):
and alive enough at the end ofthe day to hit some deadlines toward the
end of the day for kind oflike my side hustle that I do for
the same company, right, butthose two times are very very stressful for
me. But mostly it's getting outof bed in the morning, because that's
where ninety percent of the battle isfin I that's exactly. If you can
just put their feet on the ground, If I can get up, get

(04:27):
moving, get the dog outside anddowne the business, everything is good to
go for the most part. Hey, And if you're having a stressful moment
right now, we're going to tryto take care of that and we'll turn
your mindset around, because everything startswith your headspace. So how is it.
We'll talk about that, and we'llshare some words to get you into
a good place this morning, comingup in minutes in the morning continue it

(04:49):
all starts with your hashtag mindset, your morning mindset ninety seven point one WASHFM.
We're Toby and Chilly in the morningand this morning here are some words
that we hope might turn your morningaround. So what is the quote that
you found from the English author andpoet George Elliott. He says, it
is never too late to be whatyou might have been. It's never too

(05:12):
late to be what you might havebeen. Maybe you feel like your life's
been going in the wrong direction,Maybe you feel like you're stuck doing something
that you really didn't want to bedoing, but you've just been settling for
whatever reason. I mean, thereare a million reasons why people choose to
just be complacent. But George Elliottreminds us that you can get out of
that because it's never too late tobe what you might have been. Keep

(05:34):
that in mind. Is you takeon the world this Wednesday, and we've
got your back here with Toby andChilly in the morning at ninety seven point
one WASHFM. Now, if you'reto washfm dot com on the Toby and

You can no longer leave anonymous reviewson open table anymore. That's right.

(10:09):
Once upon a time you could bevery brave behind inonymity, but now
not so much. Seems to bea move that's happening. Yeah, glass
Stor is doing it. I thinkother websites are doing it. Overall,
their goal is to get more authenticreviews on there, with people having to
put their name and or a picturethere with you. I can't say I

(10:31):
hate that. How do you feelabout it? So initially you're like,
yeah, you know, own upto your feedback. But there is a
part of me that would worry aboutany type of retaliation. So, you
know, I put my review aboutmy experience at a restaurant, about maybe
their service, their food, andthen the owner decides to come at me,
right, you know what I'm saying, because now my name is out

(10:52):
there or my you know whatever. And I'm not just me chilly, I'm
talking about any one of us.You know. I think that's a risk
you take. I mean, itreally is. It's unfortunately that's the world
we live in. But here's whatI will say. I like the fact
that this makes you think about whatyou're gonna post before you do it,
because your name's on it. Numbertwo, you know, it removes that
whole barrier of anonymity. You knowwhat I mean, if I'm angry,

(11:13):
I can post anything, and Ican post whatever I want. You don't
have to know who I am.But now you know you have to own
up to your words. And there'snothing wrong with owning up to your words
if you're being honest from your pointof view. I think when you have
or whether have you ever, firstof all, posted feedback about any service,
and if so, have you signedyour name to it. I've had

(11:35):
to because like normally I'll leave likeGoogle reviews, and you have to be
signed in, you know what Imean, you to even get to the
point where you can leave a review. So it's it's like, yeah,
I mean, I guess I haveto have I wanted to post things anonymously
and have I on other websites.Sure, but if you ask me,
yeah, I'd say the same thing. I'd put my yeah, I'd be

(11:56):
like, yeah, I did it. I've never gotten to the point of
having to do that, because whenI'm really unhappy about something, I will
email a manager or somebody above thatmanager and share my experience with them.
And if I feel like they still, you know, either ignored it,
dismissed it, whatever, maybe thenI would say something publicly, but no,

(12:16):
that's my moo. Is just dealingwith me well, And that brings
up another good point. It's alsoon the business owner or the business owner's
designed to respond to these things, like it should almost be a full time
job having somebody that someone is thereto respond to this stuff, because if
somebody does have a good experience andyou have a bad experience and you say
nothing, then you know there mightbe some smoke to that fire, you

(12:37):
know what I mean, or orvice versa, and you know, so
I don't know. I just thinkit's not a bad idea. I understand
the concerns. What do you think? You know? The number to the
place? You've got to talk backmicrophone too, leave us a voice,
don't You don't even have to callus if you don't want to look forward

(13:39):
Are you ready to play and win? Here comes the question? Thirty two
percent of Americans dislike the taste ofthis drink. What are we talking about?
Hap water? Are you a fanof the tap water? The taste
of the tap water are not somuch? It depends on the area.
True. Don't you find it ironicthat we are the only people on the

(14:01):
planet who pay for something we getfor free. It's crazy, isn't it?
It makes no sense exactly. Imean, it is what it is.
But I will say this, there'sjust something about some of these bottles
of water. I don't know whatit is. Very refreshing, hydrating.
I don't know if the tap watertaste too chlorinated, that's not great,
right, I don't know if there'ssome weird tinge in it, you know,
I never know what that tinge isin the back. It's like it's

(14:22):
in the back of your mouth orthe back of the water. It's like,
wait a minute, what is that. I'm like, eh, I'll
pass. Well, if you aresomebody who's not a fan of the tap
water, you're going to be happyto hear the answer is correct. Thirty
two percent of Americans do not likethe taste of it. Woo, which
means you're going to go see justinTimberlake and everybody likes the taste of Justin
Timberlake. Congratulations, tickets to yours, thanks to Live Nation. Thank you.

(14:43):
I appreciate it. I take ityou like Justin Timberlake over the taste
of tap water. Absolutely well, who doesn't. I mean, he's Justin
Timberlake, very beautiful man. Anyway, you're gonna go see him up close
and personal in October when he comesto town. The tickets to yours from
what station ninety seven point one. That's right refreshing, just like a nice
tall glass of ice water on ahot day. Thank you so much,

maybe not service pets. How doyou feel about dogs or pets going

(17:02):
grocery shopping with you? Okay, then I take it we're gonna need to
have a discussion. So if you'veever done this and you want to jump
in, feel free to call now. We'll get into it. Coming up
as Toby and Chilly in the Morningcontinued eight sixty six, nine two seven
forty three sixty one Toby and Chillyin the Morning. It's ninety seven point
one WASHFM. So long story short, I've been taking our puppy, who's

(17:25):
just in three year old Nova Luna, grocery shopping with me. It's just
easier. Sometimes. I saw asign that said don't leave your pets in
the car, We'll find you.So I said, guess what, We're
going to the grocery store, andshe's like, okay. So we went
and did the business, then wewent shopping. Nobody said anything, but
I take it by the look you'regiving me across the console here that this
is not okay with you. Yeah. I don't know why you think it's

(17:47):
okay and not just you. Idon't want to just pick on you,
but I'm seeing this more and morepeople who are bringing their non service animals
or dogs into like grocery store orplaces where food is Yeah. Not to
be confused here with service animals, which legitimately have a purpose in ninety seven
point one Washif And we love ourservice animals, we love all animals,
but this does rub some people thewrong way. And I'm sure that some

(18:11):
people probably have had some thoughts thatthey haven't shared with me. Honestly,
when it comes to food products likethat and an animal, I feel like
it's not hygienic, and I don'tknow how it's not a health code violation.
I don't know. I just knowthat for me, it was easier
to bring her with me on theway back from the puppy park, and

(18:32):
that was very selfish. And Iadmit that I'm sorry, but I don't
want your pets dander on my apples. Oh well, then thoughts eight sixty
six nine two seven forty three sixtyone. It seems this has struck a
chord with Gail this morning. Iam a hardcore dog lover, but I
was in a grocery store recently. There was an obvious not service dog coming
into the front entrance. It hadto go really bad, so it went

(18:56):
all over the floor. It wasreally gross. Owner stepped over the doggie
doo and kept walking, and thedog kind of walked in its own poop.
Leaving the grocery store employees looking ateach other having to quickly scramble to
pick up the accident. I mean, accidents happened, but you got to
like being on top of that stuff. You know what I do before I

(19:18):
go in a grocery store, makesure Nova Luna has taken care of Nova
UNA's business as it were. Ingeneral, though, Gail, even if
you hadn't seen that, how doyou feel where do you draw the line?
Are only well behaved pets allowed in? I mean, I think that
stores limited the service dog for areason. And I agree with you,
because even a friendly dog might besmelling something. And I think your cute

(19:40):
little puppy can either stay at homeor be with your friend outside where you're
grocery shopping. Gail, thanks forjumping into the conversation. Really good thoughts
eight six six nineteen seven forty threesixty one talkback microphone wide open too.
Get back to this coming up alittle bit later on, as Toby and
Chilly in the Morning continues. Butcoming up next, Tilly, you have
a procedure today. Yes, I'mhaving big surgery. And although I'm a
little bit anxious, there's something Iam really looking forward to how does one

(20:06):
look forward to surgery? Stay there, we'll find out if Toby and Chilly
in the Morning continues. Now,Toby and Chilly in the Morning on ninety
seven point one, watch ye mightsix nineteen seven forty three sixty one,
Toby to have chiliamar Tell me howdoes one look forward to surgery? Because
those two words just looking forward insurgery just don't go together. Well,
I am actually excited, almost giddyabout it. Now, there is some

(20:29):
anxiety because, you know, havingmy breast implants replaced. In case you
didn't hear the backstory, I hada preventive mestectomy and one of the implants
has ruptured and I have to getthem replaced. I'm gonna be fine.
But the great part of this isI'm not allowed to do a whole lot
for several days. And usually whenyou disconnect from your family and you want

(20:52):
to be left alone, you feelbad about it. Guilt, yes,
but I'm not gonna feel bad abouttwo taking a pain medication and sleeping.
Well, I'm not gonna feel badabout being alone in the room watching TV
and reading a book. I'm notfeeling bad about my aunt staying with us
and making some of my favorite mealsbecause I can't make the meals with the

(21:14):
drain coming out of my body.Sure, I'm not gonna feel I could
go on and on. You getthe picture. I get the picture that
after the show today, when yougo to have this surgery, you're going
to begin like a week long adventureof peace, calm, quiet, cool,
calm and collected and by the fomois real. I wish I could
sleep like you're gonna say. Andhow sad is it? Like, think
about it, How sad is itthat it would take having to get like

(21:36):
major surgery at least for me tonot have that guilt of putting that quote
unquote burden on other people. Seewho knew some forever chemicals leaking into your
body, okay because of a rupturedimplant due to a preventive double aseectomy would
cause you to have this peace andquiet and calm that you're looking forward to
for the next five to seven days. It's called the silver lining, baby,

(21:56):
silver lining. That's more like juststraight up Tiffany's silver bullion. Can
I take that to the bank andcash it in? Wow? Well,
I do hope that everything goes welltoday. And where we'll be following your
rn R on social media. I'msure. And by the way, if
you want to find us on socialmedia, you can Toby at Chilli page

Thoughts you got some Chilly's feeling somesort of way about it? I admit
I've done it. What do youthink We'll get back to this conversation coming
up top stories top of the hour. Seven jurors have been chosen so far

That ferry has been closed since twentytwenty. The Prince George's County Council

you get some sort of a citationor a fine for that? Or is
that okay? What do you thinkabout dogs in the grocery store, dogs
or pets in any store? Reallycall us now we'll get back into this

(24:23):
conversation coming up in minutes. Godwait, we can't wait to hear your
thoughts on this. With Toby andChilly in the morning stage dogs in the
grocery store and we're not talking aboutservice animals. There's a difference. Ninety
seven point one WASHFM, where Tobyand Chiley in the morning, I admit
that I've taken Novaaluna grocery shopping withme. Some people feel some sort of
way about it this morning. Yeah, I just don't like the idea of

(24:45):
having animals near food. It doesn'tseem very hygienic. The numbers eight six,
six, nineteen seven, forty threesixty one. If you have thoughts,
talkbacks wide open, two sent it'sa voice note. If you're listening
on your iHeart app. Now,Wendy and Fairfax, you have some thoughts
about this, We're listen. Takeit away. It's been disgusting when I
have seen people have their dogs thatare not service. Dogs that have peed

(25:07):
or food in the grocery store ormy favorite Tyson's Corner food court area,
and they don't do anything about it. It's disgusting. It's happening more and
more, and it's a little initiallyit's a little jarring, like, oh
my god, there's a dog rightin the produce section, exactly if somebody
had a gigantic husky in the producedepartment. And all I'm thinking is dogs

(25:29):
care is going to get on theproduce that I'm going to take home.
Look, I love dogs, Ihave two myself. I have snuffed them
in myself, took places. Butthere's a time and a place for everything,
and when you at the grocery store, that's not the place to bring
your dog. Wendy, thank youso much for jumping into the conversation this
morning. Now to Benita over inWaldorf, what's up? I truly believe
that it could be a health departmentby Lincoln and Benita, why do you

(25:52):
think we're seeing this more and more. People just don't want to confront the
issue with people. They don't wantto offend anyone. And it's the sense
of this topic. But I thinkmany people have gone too far with it.
