Toby and Chili Mornings on demand onninety seven point one Chef. Well,
here we are in these moments beforefive o'clock starting this here Toby and Chili
in the Morning broadcast on ninety sevenpoint one Wash FM. Why are you
feeling good before five o'clock this morning? There, chiliamar anything happened yesterday that
has you feeling some sort of way? I had a lunch date with my

(00:21):
husband. Well, was it agood lunch date? Was it one of
those lunch dates that was like areal food We went to it all you
can eat sushi place, Oh,which is a treat because our ten year
old doesn't eat sushi. M hm. And on a rare day that my
husband did not have meetings during lunchtime. Mm hmm, we decided to go

(00:42):
check this place out. It wasgreat and then you had the all you
can eat sushi and you just enjoyedand you had multiple trips to the gimmick.
Oh yes, well no, itwas order off the menu as much
as you want. It wasn't likea buffet, Thank god, that's awes
be weird. Yeah. No,so I think yesterday I'm feeling good before
five this morning because I'm kind ofhoning in on something to do this summer

(01:03):
that I've never done before with mysignificant other that would be very romantic between
the two of us. And ifmy parents wanted to come along for the
ride, I think my dad wouldlove it as an anniversary gift. Okay,
so you're saying this would be aromantic trip with you and your significant
other and your parents, Well,my parents can come along, they wouldn't
be a part of the romance. So you've planned it not yet, but

(01:25):
I need to make sure that it'ssomething that I can do, and I
need to do a little more homeworkon the place. But basically it involves
something you might see on a realityTV show panning for gold. Oh,
you've been talking about wanting to dothis forever. Well, my dad's been
talking about it, and my significantother ones to go to Yellowstone and I've
never been before. So I hadto wrap my head around not leaving the

(01:47):
country because I like to vacation awayfrom America. It's just a quirk.
I mean, that's a treasure inAmerica, So that's good. If yeah,
like if I could go and findme some gold in some sort of
river, I mean, game onvacation will pay for itself. Nice.
Oh well, but it's gotta befeeling good because I've got something to look
forward to when I get clear ofstuff today and I can actually delve into

(02:08):
life. It's life, though italways happens to show up. But at
least it's Thursday, and we're anotherday close to the weekend with Toby and
Chilly in the Morning at ninety sevenpoint one wash FM. Stay with us
because coming up next a woman suingColdstone Creamery over their pistachio ice cream.
Wait till you hear why, andif you've got thoughts, jump in eight
sixty six nine two seven forty threesixty one. That's supposed to be pistachio

(02:31):
in my ice cream? Did yousee this floating around the Internet of things
this week? Ninety seven point oneWASHFM Toby and Chilly in the Morning,
class action loss suit happening. Well, she for sure is suing Coldstone Creamery
because she found out after the factthat their pistachio ice cream has zero pistachio
in it. It has pistaschio flavoringsand she felt very misled. Now a

(02:54):
judge said she has a case,so she's moving forward with this lost Misleading
advertised is a problem in every community. Wait do you so? Here's a
question I have and I never thoughtabout it until I saw this lawsuit.
When you order ice cream somewhere,do you assume that the flavor that it's
saying it is has the actual ingredient? I think when you order anything,

(03:14):
you assume because of what the labeland branding says, that it is what
it is not a lot of peopleread the terms and conditions of the fine
print. Okay, but like it'sgreen, like real pistaschio ice cream shouldn't
be green. That's like food coloringin it, which probably is telling a
lot of people that thought they've hadpistachio ice cream or gelato that it hasn't
been legitimate. Yeah, And whenI roll up and I order, you

(03:36):
know, I don't know, justokay pistachio ice cream. I like the
flavor of pistaschio. I don't thinkthat they actually crushed it and made it
with true pistaschios. But maybe it'sa price point thing too. I think
it depends on where you go.If it's a reputable ice cream dealer that
specializes in reputable ice cream, thatyou don't you know, not knocking the
grocery store ice cream. Yeah, this is like, you know, handmade

(04:00):
batches kind of ice cream. Itbetter have real pistachios in it. If
you're saying it's pistaschio ice cream andI'm paying a premium for it. But
if it's bogus, if I couldgo to the frozen foods aisle and get
it in the dessert section then andit's fake, then that's a problem.
Well here's some good news. Iguess if you have a nut allergy,
you can have the pistachio ice creamand cold still creamery. There you go.

(04:23):
Because it's not legitimate. The wayaround this would just be to disclose
it the flavored like you know.I mean, come on now, Toby
and Chilly in the morning. It'sninety seven point one WASHM. So how
is your ice cream today? Good? Hope? So how's your mindset?
We we'll work on that, comingup with your morning mindset. A quote
to inspire on the way in minutes, stay with it. Time to get

(04:45):
your mind right. It's ninety sevenpoint one wash FM on this Thursday morning,
the thirteenth of June, and it'stime for your morning mindset. What's
The quote you've got comes from thehip hop lyricist Nas, very very legendary
lyricist in the hip hop community,wh says, when you trust your gut,
you can't lose. Are you trustingyour gut? Have you been finding
wins? Maybe you should switch thatup. Trust your gut. When you

(05:11):
trust your gut, you can't lose, says Nas. I don't know if
you need to hear that. Idon't know if you know somebody who does.
But hopefully it said something to youand if you want to share it
with someone, you'll find it.The Toby and tillypage WASHEFM dot com.

and Chilly in the Morning about eightpurchases that retirees almost always regret. So
if you know somebodyho's about to retireor thinks they're going to retire, there's

(09:37):
a list we've got for you onthe Toby and Chilli page of washfm dot
com that kind of breaks it down. And a couple that come to mind,
Chili a big house is one ofthem. Well, a dream home.
They're saying, why would you spendyour savings in your retirement on a
big old home where it's probably goingto be just you and your spouse when
you're an empty gestor. Although Iwill say that I've noticed at least in

(09:58):
Montgomery County It was in the thisweek that there's more and more of this
multi generational housing thing going on.So there's like the family home is kind
of a thing. Hence big housesPotomac. You would hope that other people
would contribute to the bills, which, by the way, I'll piggyback.
The other thing with that is supportingfamily members. They're saying you will regret

(10:20):
supporting family members after you retire becausethe money runs out real quick and you
have no idea you'll ever get paidback. Right, So when you have
to take care of mom or dad, or grandma or grandpa, I mean,
it is what it is, oryour kids. They also say big
travel experiences are one of them too, because I mean, look, it's

(10:41):
fun, it's great, it's somethingto occupy your time, but it's a
big chunk of money to do somebig travel like a cruise across the world
or something like that. Right,But if you're gonna do an RV or
a boat, just rent those things, yeah right, don't go and buy
one, which is another thing peoplewho have retired regret. You can see
the entire list. If you haveanything to add, feel free to do

(11:01):
so. Send us at the talkbackmicrophone message right now if you get a
chance, or you can read thelist on the Toby and Chili page at

think most of us have been forgetfulof an important date from time to time.

(15:43):
Everybody gets things screwed up on calendars. Who are we to judge,
as people are parents. But Michaeland Belle Haven this morning, just south
of the Potomac, wanted to jumpin with a thought on something he forgot
this morning. One of the mostimportant dates that I forgot was when I
was film married. I forgot myex mother in law's birthday, which could

(16:03):
be the reason that I'm no longermarried to her daughter. Well, I
don't think I've ever known my inlaw's birthdays. I mean, they're no
longer with us, But even whenthey were alive, I gotta be honest,
I don't think I knew. Yeah, I would give you the hall

if we head up to Chevy Chase, We've got some thoughts that Stephanie,
you wanted to share with us.This is so bad. I one
time forgot my own birthday. Myfriend had to remind me while I was
standing there around the cake. Iwas like, what's this four? And

(16:48):
they're like you, I kid younot well, you know, age is
nothing but a number, right,Like do we really want to acknowledge getting
older? You stop counting after twentynine? That's what my grandmother Mimi did.
She just was like, I'm twentynine for the fifty fourth time or
something. Oh man, I gottasay though, none of these seem as
bad as me always forgetting my weddinganniversary, right, you know, that's
that's kind of a thing. Youactually walked down the aisle on a certain

(17:11):
day that you picked and planned.I know it's all. There's really no
excuse for forgetting that. Forgetting asignificant other girlfriend's anniversary, that's one thing.

was a good idea to see thesunset. We got there, it was
beautiful. We ended up staying toolong and it got dark, and we

(18:23):
ended up getting lost, and wehad to go to the side of the
mountain and the security had to driveup in their truck and pick us up
and rescue us and drive us backto his car. Sugarloaf Mountain is not
exactly the biggest mountain on the planet, nor is it one that you typically
hear about security escorted rescues from.Yeah, what made you guys get all

kinds of turned around? There?Paths aren't there. I think we just
got carried away of the view. And at the time we hadn't been to

Flying the plane? I would loveto learn to fly like a Cessna,

I've always wanted to fly a helicopter. I think it would be awesome
to be able to do that.I'm sure it would also have come in
handy in a zombie apocalypse or somethinglike that. Jonathan, thank you.
So if there really was zombie apocalypse, you can fly people out with the
