Toby and Chilly Mornings on demand on ninety seven point
one Chef out.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
How can you not feel good on a Friday? And
that is the reason why I am feeling great today.
Toby and Chilly in the morning. It's ninety seven point
one wash FM. It's just been one of those weeks
where things have just gone the right way, at least
for me.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
I can't speak for other people.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I can't speak for you, but I know that this
it feels like I've earned this week, and I'm actually
very happy about it. So bring on Friday and bring
on the weekend. What about you? Why are you feeling
good today?

Speaker 4 (00:34):
All right, well, I will keep it to the Capitol's
related news, ov scored another goal last night and he
now moves within twenty goals of breaking Wing Gretzky's record.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
So will he do it this season or is it
something that he'll have to do during his career what's
left of his career.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Yes, it's possible he can get it done this season, Okay,
but it's likely it'll happen early next season.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Because that just seems like a lot. Yeah, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
But he does a really good job of pacing himself
so that he could get it. My husband, of course,
has a friend who bought a bunch of tickets Toby
to all the.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
Games for the rest every home game this season.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Wants to be on hand to see the record go
down exactly.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
And now he's like, well, looks like I'm gonna buy
some extra wins for the beginning of next season, just
to make sure it's.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
So stock up.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
It's literally it could have.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
But what we do know, unless he gets hurt, God,
please don't let that happen. It's going to happen.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Don't speak that into existence.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
It's going to happen.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Don't speak that into existing.

Speaker 5 (01:38):
I know you're right anyway. That's why I'm feeling good today.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Well, hopefully OVI will pull through for all of the
Superstar Die Hard cap fans, Toby and Chilly. In the
morning here at ninety seven point one WASCHFM coming up
in just a few minutes on this Friday morning.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Is there a trend that you hopped on but then
it just went away like it didn't last at all.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
We're not gonna judge, because everybody's hopped on some sort
of trend. Eight six six wash CHEFM one that's eight six, six, nine, two, seven,
forty three sixty one talk back microphones wide open for
you too. Feel free to jump into the conversations. We
Getty started any year on a Friday at ninety seven
point one WASHFM with Toby and Chili.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
In the morning.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
And it's Friday morning at ninety seven point one WASHFM,
otherwise known as preset number one on your iHeart app
Toby and Chili.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
In the morning. You haven't seen the new futures you
should check them out.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Talking this morning about trends, trends, specifically trends that did
not last.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Think about it.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
What trend were you into back in the day that
did not last? And then flash forward to now, what
are some trends maybe that are flying around that didn't
last in the last five years?

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Could be anything. Want to hear what you think this morning?

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Chili go ahead, Well, thankfully, I don't really hop on
a lot of trends until they're a done deal. But
the avatar, remember how we would create avatar and put
them on our social media profiles. I hopped on that
and then it sort of fizzled shortly thereafter.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Yes, but you had one heck of an avatar.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
Well, it was good to find one with curly hair.
I was very excited.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
I ended for the whole five minutes that that lasted.
You were on top of the avatar game. Mine was
more financial. I thought it was all cool to invest
in Farmville's parent company called Zinga, because everybody was playing Farmville,
and so all those places like squawk Box and all
those financial TV networks they were talking about how now

(03:32):
it's the time to get in bye bye, but not
like audios by, It's like bye now bye now. Well,
I bought now and promptly lost my buttocks when that
trend went south. Faster than a rock that you throw
in the Potomac.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
My avatar is making a sad face.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Tell your avatar to stop rubbing it in Toby and
Chilly in the morning, Michael, trend that didn't last. What
you jump in on, and thank you, by the way
for listening in Rockville.

Speaker 6 (04:00):
One hundred slat brace list from when I was a kid.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
That trend, it.

Speaker 6 (04:05):
Certainly didn't last very long. I actually think I still
have a box of them in my attic somewhere.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
And now Chilly knows who toconic some she needs something
for her son's birthday party. Goodie bags, Kesley and Alexandria
go ahead.

Speaker 6 (04:19):
I remember going on a cardboard diet several years ago.

Speaker 7 (04:22):
I don't know, I saw it online and thought it
would be a good idea.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
I ended up having the worst digestion issues and just
felt overall horrible never again.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
Well, on the positive side, all that protein probably built
some muscle mass.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Chilliam Mar with the Ted Talk this morning and we'll
hear more positivity. Your morning mindset is on the way.
The most important thing about everything here at ninety seven
point one WASHFM with Toby and Chilly in the morning
is you. It really is you and where you are mentally, spiritually, physically,
and that's why we call this your morning mindset.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
And we get you into a better headspace by finding
a quote and sharing it with you to kind of
think about the rest of the day.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
At least that's the hope. So let's see hmm this morning.
Robin Williams, the great comedian, says, no matter what people
tell you, words and ideas can change the world. There
are people who think you can't change things. There are
people who think that your words and your ideas are meaningless.
But that's not true. You can say things and speak

(05:25):
them into existence. You can change the world with a
few words, with a few ideas. So bring on the ideas,
bring on the words, and then back them up by
changing the world. Thank you, Robin Williams. And if that
spoke to you, maybe it'll speak to somebody else. You
can find it to Toby Chilipage washfm dot com, share
it with someone who might need to hear it. Now

(05:48):

We call it showbiz buzz. What's going on today?

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Judges pausing at President Trump's executive order that aims to
limit birthright citizenship. Meanwhile, the President's pick for Secretary of Defense,
Pete Hegseeth, advanced through the Senate confirmation by two votes,
and now this sets up his confirmation vote on the
floor today. A near seven and a half billion dollar

(08:25):
Sackler family's control of Purdue Pharma. This will also prevent
them from selling opioids in the US. A seventeen year
old student at Mead High School and anna Rundel County
was seriously hurt yesterday after a stabbing inside the school.
The incident reportedly started as an altercation and two people
are now in custody. The annual March for Life taking

(08:47):
over the National Mall this morning. While the action starts
at eleven AM, with a pre rally concert and a
series of high profile speakers at noon, and then the
march itself begins at one pm. The commanders have a
unveil the list of official watch parties around the area
for Sunday's game against the Eagles. They include Franklin Hall

(09:07):
in Northwest, Union Pub in Northeast, RJ. Bentley's in College Park,
and Crystal City Sports Pub in Arlington. And Finally, new
research highlights the side hustle jobs that pay the best.
They found that marketing strategy pays the most for a
single day's work, at an average of one hundred and
fifty dollars an hour. For side hustles that don't require

(09:29):
any experience, the highest paying gig is focus group work,
which pays an average twenty eight dollars an hour. Forecasts
for today partly cloudy highs around thirty seven right now
eighteen in Montgomery Village.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
For me to tell you that you missed this story
and the news about these watch parties, Chili, but I've
got to correct you on something. You're missing them one
a very important watch party, the watch party happening in
your man cave, your husband's man cave, the watch party
happening in my living room, and the watch party happening
in living rooms all over the DMV, because everybody this

(10:04):
weekend will be congregated around the TV on Sunday to
watch these cardiac commanders as they do what they do
in pursuit of a Super Bowl. And you know, none
of this would have been possible had it not been
for one person. We'll talk about the commander's game, We'll
talk about what's making the difference. We'll get to all
of this and more coming up in minutes of Toby
and Chilly in the Morning continues.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Don't go too far.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Very very excited about this weekend for a bunch of reasons.
One of those reasons, Chilly, by the way, Toby and
Chilly in the Morning ninety seven point one watch FM,
is because we know what the commanders are doing this weekend.
We know the implications of the weekend. But I found
a jade and Daniel's rookie card that I got from
Tops after he made his debut game, his first game,

(10:48):
like the first touchdown all that I have that card
and I did not realize.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
That I have it now. I just need to get
it autographed.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Does anybody have any pull on an autograph with jaydon Nan?

Speaker 5 (10:58):
That's you know, that is super super awesome that you
have that back.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
I'm just not lucky.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
I really go is un believable. And the whole country
is talking about this kid because we can call them
a kid.

Speaker 5 (11:13):
You're a kid.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
It's just as a lifelong fan of the Commanders, It's
been so long since I've had this kind of hope.

Speaker 5 (11:21):
And I think a lot of people would agree.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
We always start the season off maybe this will be
the year, and honestly, why not?

Speaker 5 (11:28):
This year? Is now the attitude right?

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Well, I mean the Eagles do have something to say
about that, but you know what that'll be?

Speaker 3 (11:35):
What it'll be?

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Yes, okay, yes, And the Eagles have beaten the Commanders twice.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
I'm not trying. I'm just being a realist.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
And the reason why I have to be a realist
is because if I'm not a realist about it, it
could cost me some money. In my pick them, pull
and Daddy will do a lot of things for five
thousand dollars or whatever.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
And I maybe I'm the only one that feels this way,
but to me, we've already won. For us to have
beaten the Lions last week, that was for me. Again,
I don't want to anger anybody. Like a Super Bowl.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
A lot of people agree with you.

Speaker 5 (12:10):
This is amazing even if it ends right now.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
Wow, is what I still feel good about the team.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
A couple of things I saw on X which echo
that sentiment. One fastest turnaround in NFL history when the
new management got in, put in a new culture, brought
in the right players.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
That's the other thing.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
The right players, the right supporting cast from from the
front office to the offensive.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
Line, the right mixture of veterans can ask.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
For better than this.

Speaker 5 (12:39):
So good.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
And then here's the other thing that I thought was
really telling. And then we'll get to our nearly impossible question.
And I thought this was powerful for people like you
who've been fans of all of your life.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
This one is for Ryan Carrigan.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
This one is for all of those commanders who dealt
with all of that stuff that Dan Snyder's stuff. You
know what I'm talking about. You've earned this one. You've
earned this one.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Yeah, Toby and Chilli's nearly impossible questions, and you.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Might earn some free stuff right now. Here's the question.

Speaker 5 (13:07):
The average kitchen has five of these? What are they?
And I'll give you a hint. It is a food item.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
M okay, okay, So ask that question one more time.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
The average kitchen has five of these what are they?

Speaker 2 (13:22):
Bring that up because I know people want to think
about it for a second, and then you might want
to try to call eat six six ninety two, seven
forty three sixty one so you can win one hundred
dollars tru So gift card.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
Is that right?

Speaker 2 (13:35):
One hundred dollars? Now here's why Trusseau's important, Ladies. I
just learned this from Chili this week.

Speaker 5 (13:39):
Well, they do bra fittings there and they have very
inclusive sizing.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Yep, so call now if you want it. You've got
the question. The game is off.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Kebby and Chillie's really impossible question.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Good boarding, baby boo, good bardon. It's Friday in the
nation's capital. How you doing, good morning.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Doing fine?

Speaker 5 (13:55):
Thank you?

Speaker 6 (13:55):
Trying to keep warm?

Speaker 2 (13:57):
I feel you on that light of bonfire. I don't
even know if that'll help, but I do know this
lingerie is never a bad thing, especially when it's free.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Are you ready to play?

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Absolutely?

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Here comes that question.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
The average kitchen has five of these. What are we
talking about?

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Is that?

Speaker 5 (14:15):
I believe it's cereal boxes.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
How many cereal boxes do you have? Because I'm at
about seven?

Speaker 5 (14:20):
Oh my god, Oh, I need to confess that I
actually put all my cereals in containers, but it would
be about five different flavors.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
I I salute you for the containers. That's very, very
smart of you. Keeps them safe from any critters that
might want to crawl in, because you know them critters
bump in the night.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
That thing.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
Absolutely, I'm fresh, you're not crunchy. That's right.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
And you know what else is right? The answer it
is boxes of cereal. The average kitchen has five of them.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Congratulations, thank you very much. That warm my heart.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
You are off to Trusse, where some lingerie will warm
more than just your heart. That's right, and it'll fit
perfectly too. One hundred dollars. The gift card is yours. Congratulations.
I hear you wanting to laugh. It's okay, thank you.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
Well.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
You enjoy shopping at Truth, so thanks for playing, and
be here next week for another round of your nearly
impossible question when we give you the chance to.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
Win tickets to Rod Stewart Meriwether Post Pavilion in July.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
All right, if you want to win, be here Monday
morning after the weekend, right around six twenty ish. The
news is on the way Top Stories, Top of the Hour,
its ninety seven point one.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Watch FMDC GUD about.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Its top Stories Top of the Hour.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
President Trump is signing an executive order to declassify Recridge
related to the assassinations of former President John F. Kennedy,
Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and doctor Martin Luther King Junior.
He said many people have been waiting for decades for this,
and adding quote everything will be revealed. Meanwhile, the confirmation
hearings for Robert F. Kennedy Junior's nomination to have the

(15:56):
Department of Health and Human Services set for next week.

unidentified person appear to have lost control of an electric
wheelchair yesterday at the Anacostia station platform. Spirit Airlines is
implementing rules for passengers regarding offensive tattoos or sheer clothing.
They say that passengers will not be allowed to board

(16:39):

in nature, and that also applies to passengers who are
inadequately clothed.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
Newsweek and brands Spark.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
International announced the winners of their Most Trusted Brands Awards
for twenty twenty five. Seven eleven is the most trusted
convenience store. CBS was named the most trusted pharmacy, and
State Farm the most trusted car insurance provider. Forecast for
today partly cloudy skies, highs around thirty seven. Right now
it is nineteen degrees in Alexandria.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
This is the weekend that commanders fans have literally waited
what three decades plus four Yep. If they can pull
it off this weekend, the big game will be well
a thing and that hasn't been said in some time.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
Very interesting to say that.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
So we're going to talk about our excitement about the
Commander's game this weekend and the difference that one player
has making. It's really sparked the entire team. We'll get
to that, and of course if you want to jump
into our conversation about the Commanders, and so many people
love to do so. Eight six six nineteen seven forty
three sixty one call. Now we're talking Commanders coming up.

(17:50):
This is a weekend all the Cardiac Commanders fans have
been looking forward to for some time.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
Toby and Chilli in the morning. And now a story
a little.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Biting you all the Cardiac Commanders feels about a man
who's been a.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Fan for over seven decades.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
Oh his name is Bill Kerpleman. He's ninety five years
old and lives in Silver Spring, and you know what,
in his old age, he's got a lot of hope
for the team this year, like so many of us.

Speaker 7 (18:19):
It's really great. It feels good to any fan that's
out there and this team, the whole organization here has
done so well.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
And he would know a little bit about organizations and
how they're doing. He's seen quite a few of them
in his over seven decades of pandemonium. The man, by
the way, did we point out is.

Speaker 5 (18:44):
Howled again ninety seven? Bless him? And now there is
a little bit of a snag.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
Okay, he usually watches games from his apartment, right, but.

Speaker 5 (18:55):
Poor Bill, you know his TV. It's been busted for a.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
Minute, and he's I've been waiting on a part.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Hello Best BUYE, Hello Walmart, Hello Sam's, Hello Costco?

Speaker 3 (19:06):
Where are you? This man needs a TV to watch
his commanders.

Speaker 4 (19:10):
Bill was so determined to know what was going on
with like last week's game against the Lions, he called
his daughter, who lives far away, and was like, hey,
can you keep me posted? And she was giving her
dad play by play over the phone.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Well, listen two things Bill. Number one, you've got big
one hundred for that.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
Now.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
You don't need your daughter to give you play by play,
although that is a bonding experience and no one will
take that away from you. The other thing is TVs
aren't super expensive anymore. If nobody gives you a free TV,
I think you could probably find one on sales someplace.
That way, you don't miss the game. That's a lot

(19:48):
of football over over seven decades at ninety seven years old.
That man is an inspiration and he definitely brings forth
all of these Commanders feel on a Friday.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
And you know, I'm gonna put this out into the universe, Toby.
If the now when the Commanders win this weekend against
the Eagles and they go to the super Bowl, it
would be so amazing if Bill could be there in
person to see himself.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
So we're thinking about Josh Harris this morning. Josh, can
you fly him to the game? If you want to
read his story, you can the Toby and chillipage WATCHFM
dot com. Coming up with Toby and Chilly in the Morning.
When you go out to eat dinner, maybe you order something.
What's your go to everybody's got a go to dish,
go to meal, go to thing. Let's talk about yours.

(20:36):
We'll talk about ours. We'll get to that in minutes.
On Friday's Toby and Chilly in the Morning continue eight
six six, nineteen seven, forty three sixty one Toby and
Chilly in the Morning.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Follow me on this one.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
You and your friends go to dinner or maybe lunch
at someplace. You've never been to this restaurant before. You
look at the menu and it's like trying to read Latin,
and you're like, wait a minute, what does this even mean?
What's your go to when it comes to ordering food
at a place like this? You look at the menu,
you have no idea what to decide on. You just

(21:07):
know you've got to make a choice. So where do
you stand on this chili thoughts?

Speaker 4 (21:12):
This unfortunately happens more times than not, and I feel
the pressure to order something, especially when I'm with a group,
and my fallback go to item when I can't decide
is some sort of like a chicken caesar salad or
a salad with chicken in it.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
I'm safe. I just stick to the appetizer menu. What
do you mean you just stick to the I look
at the appetizer menu and I'm like, there's probably an
appetizer I like, so I know I'm gonna be okay with.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Oh okay, So you do like a little sap, that's
a good idea, doing a little sample, a little bit
of it, Like you create a top as it's like.
